French riot
police fired tear gas at thousands of demonstrators in north-west France on
Saturday, after some protesters hurled stones and iron bars at them in a rally
against a controversial green tax and layoffs.....Protest organisers said
30,000 people, including hauliers, fishermen and food industry workers, had
gathered in the town of Quimper in Brittany to demonstrate against an
environmental tax on trucks and layoffs, even though the government had earlier
in the week suspended the application of the so-called ecotax......The prefect
of the department of Finistere, Jean-Luc Videlaine, blamed the violence on a
"marginal group" of right-wing extremists, who he said were believed
to be among the protesters......The ecotax, aimed at encouraging
environmentally friendly commercial transport, imposes new levies on French and
foreign vehicles transporting commercial goods weighing over 3.5 tonnes.
It came under
fire from farmers and food sector workers across the country, but especially in
Brittany, where the economy is heavily dependent on agriculture....."I'm

slammed the Socialist government for postponing the tax, with Green MEP Jose
Bove calling the move "pathetic" and an "incredible

My Take – At
least someone in France gets it! Taxes
kill jobs! The problem in France is they
don’t get the whole story. These taxes
came into being because of them. The
French people demand cradle to the grave care and yet fail to realize that costs
money. Someone else’s money, and that’s
running out, and their ability to borrow is coming to an end.
They go along with
all these insane green ideas, like the precautionary principle, and then are
upset when their imposition interferes with their lives. The greenies are exposed as misanthropic and
yet they attack the green’s handmaidens in government without attacking the
very people responsible for all this.
The greenies themselves! France’s
problems are unfixable within the current cultural paradigm. Before this is all over the EU will collapse,
hyper inflation will consume all of Europe, there will be ethnic wars between
the European and Muslim populations, food riots, there will be a Sixth Republic
in France and that government will be repressive.
This is a scenario
that is going to play out over all of Europe, and I believe this will spread
worldwide. Once the EU collapses the
economic fallout will be catastrophic for the world’s economy, and the
governments of the world will also turn repressive hoping to control the
masses. This won't work because the
two things needed to stabilize society will no longer exist. A stable economy with a strong financial
foundation, and a strong society based on a stable moral foundation! Socialists have done all in their power to destroy capitalism and that will bankrupt them. Socialists have done all in their power
to undermine the only stable moral foundation humanity has ever known;
Judaic/Christian principles, and it will come back to haunt them. It is unfortunate that so many will suffer
for their being wrong,
