Who Are the Real Climate Change Deniers?

Scientists estimate that, during the Medieval Warm Period, for example, the temperatures in parts of Europe were 1.0–1.4° Celsius (1.8–2.5° Fahrenheit) warmer than they are now.  Oxygen isotope studies in China, Germany, Greenland, Ireland, New Zealand, Switzerland, and Tibet, as well as tree ring data from many sites throughout the world, confirm the Medieval Warm Period.  The studies are so numerous (several thousand published papers confirming this warming) that it raises the obvious question: “Why do climate activists deny that the climate is always changing?”

There are two important reasons why activists deny climate change.  First, the acceptance of prior warming periods undermines the argument that a modern warming is an existential threat, and second, prior warming periods undermine the idea that anthropogenic (man-made) CO2 is the primary cause of climate change..........To Read More....

My Take - I commented on this AT article saying:

Excellent article. I've followed this and wrote about it from the beginning, and those of us who recognized this was a massive scientific fraud and wrote about it were vilified. Now, they're being called before the bar.

Michael Mann lost his SLAPP suit in Canada against Tim Ball, and it appears his SLAPP suit against Mark Steyn is finally going to court. I expect him to lose this one also and for the same reason. He'll refuse to turn over his "dirty laundry" (his term) for inspection, as he failed to do in Canada costing him the suit.  You may wish to review my Tim Ball File.

Mann has kept the legal machinery churning forever to cause a massive financial burden for those he's sued, but we need to remember Steyn counter sued, so it will be interesting to see what Steyn does if Mann loses. Given Steyn's character, I suggest this might be enormously expensive for Mann and the David Suzuki Foundation that funded these SLAPP suits for Mann.  Here's the link to My Mann Chronicles

Where We Are Now!

This is where we are in real time:

By -- Michael Matt, Remnant TV——--August 23, 2022

Editor’s Note: Even as the top two medical advisors—who put the pandemic pox upon world masses—distance themselves from accountability, Dr.  Tony Fauci escaping accountability in a coming in a yesterday-announced December retirement, scarfed-up sidekick Dr. Deborah Birx, admitting she lied about Covid 19, authoring in a boastful book,  the horror of world citizens isn’t close to over—but really just getting started. Fauci and Birx were needed by the monstrous globalists running the World Economic Forum (WEF).  Now tossed aside like last night’s supper potatoes, they will travel anonymously down Memory Lane while their Masters take over leaving all of humanity in an orchestrated roller coaster world where NOTHING will ever remain the same.

Remnant Editor, Michael J. Matt, (God Bless Him!) called it right back in 2020, and is back to remind us today where humanity now stands at this point in Real Time, starting with American Midterm Elections only 11 weeks away. “Where we are now” comes, as he says, not in his own words, but in the words of global leaders setting the table for the Great Reset, which they were able to succeed under the cover of pretending it was only a “conspiracy”.

These leaders include Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates, George Soros, Al Gore, Pope Francis, and for God’s sake, even Britain’s Prince Charles, who will soon replace an aging Queen Elizabeth II......To Read Moe...

COOL IT: Al Gore's Latest Global Warming Remarks Are Why This Issue Goes Nowhere

Matt Vespa @mvespa1 Jul 25, 2022

I'm not complaining that this issue goes nowhere. No one cares. If CNN and MSNBC obsess about it, you know that actual voters don't care. The liberal elite is not the majority, nor are their pet issues real emergencies. They cater only to the white, educated, wealthy progressives who infest the cities. How often have we heard we're all going to die, and nothing happens?

The Arctic Ice Cap was supposed to disappear by 2013. I remember being in AP Environmental Science class in 2007 and hearing these predictions. By 2013, the ice cap was still there and grew by 533,000 square miles. These same global warming clowns are the ones who also said in the 1970s that "global cooling" was going to kill us all. Periods of re-glaciation were going to overtake the North American continent. Newsweek had the piece. Still, these folks want us to gut economic progress and sacrifice our wealth on their hunch again. Nope. We're not going to do that—the American people have been clear. And no, I'm not going to drive an electric car, which also needs fossil fuels for charging.

But the messaging has been soaked in condescension and just bad comparisons. Al Gore, Mr. Inconvenient Truth, decided to smear all of us as the Uvalde police department for our intransigent position that we shouldn't destroy the American economy. Mr. Gore, did you think this would change minds? (via Politico):.............COOL IT: Al Gore's Latest Global Warming Remarks Are Why This Issue Goes Nowhere

Global Warming and How Some Things Never Change.

I have been probing the arguments for global warming for well over a decade. In collaboration with a lot of excellent coauthors I have consistently found that when the layers get peeled back, what lies at the core is either flawed, misleading or simply non-existent. - Ross McKitrick

By Rich Kozlovich

As I go back to view old pieces I've posted I came across this piece going back to 2008 entitled Another Skeptic.  This was a letter to USA Today from Dr. Martin Hertzberg, a retired Navy meteorologist with a PhD in physical chemistry, and published with his permission.  He went on to say:

As a scientist and life-long liberal Democrat, I find the constant regurgitation of the anecdotal, fear mongering clap-trap about human-caused global warming (the Levi, Borgerson article of 9/24/08) to be a disservice to science, to your readers, and to the quality of the political dialogue leading up to the election.

The overwhelming weight of scientific evidence shows that the Gore-IPCC theory that human activity is causing global warming is false. For details see my article, "The Lynching of Carbon Dioxide", in the "guest authors" section of carbon-sense.com.

(Editor's Note: The first and third links work, and are up to date. RK)

The difference between a scientist and propagandist is clear. If a scientist has a theory, he searches diligently for data that might contradict it so that he can test it further or refine it. The propagandist carefully selects only the data that agrees with his theory and dutifully ignores any that contradicts it. The global warming alarmists don't even bother with data! All they have are half-baked computer models that are totally out of touch with reality and have already been proven to be false.

Here is some of the latest data. From the El Nino year of 1998 until Jan., 2007, the average temperature of the earth's atmosphere near its surface decreased some 0.25 C. From Jan., 2007 until the Spring of 2008, it dropped a whopping 0.75 C. The National Weather Service just issued a Sea Ice Advisory for the Western and Arctic Alaskan Coastal waters for significant ice developing in the next 10 to 14 days, with sea surface temperatures some 2 to 8 C colder than last year. Such recent data is "just the tip of the iceberg" that is in process of sinking the Gore-IPCC ship of cards.

That was 14 years ago, and it was obvious even then all the global warming/climate change hysteria was just propaganda, not science.  And the evidence of that keeps piling up to the point there can no longer be any justification for pushing their "climate change" agenda.  An agenda over a "crisis" most no longer believe in, especially since what warming there was stopped 25 years ago in what they're calling "the pause", and it still wasn't anywhere near the temperatures of the Roman and Medieval Warming Periods.

And as always, leftist hysteria is followed by demands that these heretics must be purged from government, academia, politics and the media who disagree with their secular religious movement, the Church of Wokeness, with the religious tenet of socialized tyranny, aka, socialism, leftism, communism, environmentalism and the enforcer of it all is the Democrat party in collusion with the United Nations, the EU and a host of strange people with a lot of money, like George Soros, and I include Bill Gates among that host..

This "pause" is in fact a tacit acknowledgement there is no warming but they just can't bring themselves to openly admit they're wrong, hoping beyond hope warming will return and the Chicken Littles can once again come out in packs hunting down the "deniers", all heretics to the sacredness of the sect of the Church of Wokeness, the Church of the Warming Globe and it's High Priest, Al Gore:

"a C university student, a divinity school dropout, a lawyer with no science studies, an majority owner/investor in a company selling 'Carbon Credits' with a vested interest in limiting CO2 for profiteering and the producer of a movie that the British Courts found to have 9 or 11 inaccuracies and could not be shown in British schools without identifying and explanation of the inaccurate claims."

In 2018 I published this piece, Global Warming Predictions, Especially About the Future, is Really Hard, saying:

Al Gore’s Prediction For December 2017 Was Way, WAY Off The Mark, Andrew West outlines some of the scare mongering spouted by The High Priest of the Church of the Warming Globe, Al Gore.  Scare mongering did I say?  Yes, but I think that's putting it mildly for what Gore has done.  I would add lying, profiteering, scamming and fraud to that list.  West goes on to say:

"Just how bad were some of Gore’s predictions?  Well, for starters, he believed that the North Pole would be completely devoid of ice by today."
  • “NINE YEARS AGO THIS MONTH— Al Gore predicted the North Polar Ice Cap would be completely ice free in five years.”
  • “Gore made the prediction to a German audience in 2008. He told them that ‘the entire North ‘polarized’ cap will disappear in 5 years.’
  • “In January 2006, Al Gore posited ‘within the next 10 years, the world will reach a point of no return’ and ‘a true planetary emergency’ due to global warming.”
And in the process he's managed to enrich himself immensely.  Apparently he didn't think the emergency was so great he should stop trying to get more money, or not live in massive energy sucking "$9 million beach front home in Montecito, [California]. Guess Al is not really afraid of sinking into the sea."

And we're shocked his predictions have been wrong?

The four pillars of modern environmentalism are junk science, regulatory abuse, secular neo-paganism and insanity.   However, in point of fact, we're probably going to be facing a period of global cooling:

"All good hoaxes must come to an end, and this week’s frigid and dangerous arctic blast may be another nail in the coffin for the “global warming” charlatans. The idea that the entire globe is somehow filling with greenhouse gasses, thusly heating the planet up to the point of no return, is patently absurd."

Yet, these elitists, fake scientists and globalist continue to push that agenda.  An agenda that even if it could change the world's climate the amount of change would be meaningless to the world's temperatures, but the cost and the impositions would change humanities ability to live well and live longer.  Their constant efforts to restrict access to energy is mind boggling, and will impact everyone and everything we do, including the ability to produce sufficient food for the world, all in the name of Climate Change.

Leftism and "fake crises" goes hand in hand.

We have to understand with all these hysterics we've now turned over all authority and power to the unconstitutional Fourth Branch of Government, the bureaucracy.  A   Unaccountable absolute authorities that are filled people who went to college and into government and believe that government is the be all and end all, feeding at the government trough at the expense of who and what they despise and hold in contempt:  America and the taxpaying citizens of this nation.

"There is only one possible conclusion regarding the reliability of climate predictions. Outspoken catastrophic-minded climate scientists and high-ranking officials don’t have a clue about future climate and its consequences, and are inventing catastrophic predictions for their own interest. Government policies should not be based on their future predictions.  Another conclusion is that studies and opinions about future climate are heavily biased towards negative outcomes that fail to materialize, while ignoring positive outcomes that are materializing."

Mussolini stated: "Everything in the State, nothing outside the State, nothing against the State."

Some things never change.

Irena Sendler: Died - May 12, 2008 (aged 98), Warsaw, Poland

By Jean Eckerman

(Editor's Note:  Originally I got this via e-mail and posted it in 2016.  I said then I normally ignore these kind of e-mails,  even after I've spent some time trying to verify what's presented.   I also said I was very comfortable passing this one along, and now with all this talk about Trump receiving a well deserved Nobel Peace Prize, I felt it was worth passing along once again.  It's clear to me the Nobel Committee is thoroughly corrupt as the undeserving are rewarded over and over again.  At some point we have to wonder:  Who needs honors from people such as these?  Rich Kozlovich)

During WWII, Irena, got permission to work in the Warsaw ghetto as a Plumbing/Sewer specialist. She had an ulterior motive. Irena smuggled Jewish infants out in the bottom of the tool box she carried. She also carried a burlap sack in the back of her truck, for larger kids. Irena kept a dog in the back that she trained to bark when the Nazi soldiers let her in and out of the ghetto.

The soldiers, of course wanted nothing to do with the dog and the barking covered the kids/infants noises. During her time of doing this, she managed to smuggle out and save 2500 kids/infants. Ultimately, she was caught, however, and the Nazi's broke both of her legs and arms and beat her severely. Irena kept a record of the names of all the kids she had smuggled out in a glass jar that she buried under a tree in her back yard.

After the war, she tried to locate any parents that may have survived and tried to reunite the family. Most had been gassed. Those kids she helped got placed into foster family homes or adopted.

In 2007 Irena was up for the Nobel Peace Prize. She was not selected. Al Gore won, for a slide show on Global Warming. Later another politician, Barack Obama, won for his work as a community organizer for ACORN.

In MEMORIAM - 65 YEARS LATER I'm doing my small part by forwarding this message.    I hope you'll consider doing the same. It is now more than 65 years since the Second World War in Europe ended. Al Gore revisited

By | February 22nd, 2020 | General Information | 398 Comments

We all know that Al Gore did not invent the Internet, though many say he claimed to have done it. He did make a small fortune selling ways for gullible people to reduce their carbon dioxide foot print by having trees planted in some far away place in there name. While he did not make it through Harvard he did become a very successful venture capitalist with the help of some Silicon Valley investors, earning hundreds of millions of dollars. While he did not create the man-caused global warming/ climate change delusion, it may not have had the world in its present state of concern without his spectacular fear-mongering.

Check your newspaper or favorite internet news sources tomorrow and surely you will find stories mentioning climate change concerns. There is not an issue of the Wall Street Journal, a supposedly conservative newspaper, without such articles. Any story describing a Fortune 500 strategy for the future will mention consideration of climate change.

Most of us know that the climate is always changing. Unless we are planning an outdoor event, a skiing trip or we are a farmer, we take change in stride. Now many , many people, frustrated with the weather for any reason, will be found to blame it on man-caused climate change and our use of fossil fuels. I believe there is good reason to give Al Gore the lions share of the credit for this dubious and completely unfounded fear for the Earth’s future and our own.

There was already an academic industry making a good living on global warming fears. Financed by government grants, it attempted to write mathematical equations to simulate our future climate with increasing emissions of carbon dioxide. Mr. Gore took over center stage with his book and movie, both titled AN INCONVENIENT TRUTH. It is a fair question to ask,”would the world be as concerned with the planet’s future today over the possible impacts of adding a degree or two to the planets average temperature if Mr. Gore had not gained so much attention”. He said life as we know it will come to a screeching end if we continue to operate on oil and gas instead of wind and sun. In fact if we ever do, as he says, life without oil and gas will send us back to the standard of living in the mid-nineteenth century.

In the 14 years since Gore launched his massively flawed book and movie, he has escaped the scrutiny that should have exposed the errors upon errors, or if you will, lie upon egregious lie that he foisted upon us. Dr. Jim Hollingsworth has ventured forth to refocus us on the damage Gore has wrought in a new book titled CLIMATE CHANGE: A CONVENIENT TRUTH, from Covenant Books. He dedicated an entire chapter to the re-introduction of 35 errors, untruths or lies, take your pick, that Gore presented in his movie and book back in 2006.

The movie was first introduced in England, in the hope of showing it in all public schools . Mr. Stewart Dimmock, recognizing the errors in the film, sued to prevent its showing in UK schools. Judge Michael Burton ruled that the film could be shown, but the teacher had to show the obvious errors in the film. The judge listed but 9 of them. There were many, many more. Judge Burton’s nine included the following misstatements:

1- the melting of Antarctica and Greenland will raise sea level 20 feet in a few      short years
2- Pacific atolls were flooding requiring evacuation of their populations
3- ocean circulation of warm water from the equator to the poles was being                                         shut off
4- temperature increases and increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide were in
      lock step
5- My. Kilimanjaro lost its ice from global warming
6- Lake Chad in west central Africa dried up due to man-cased global warming
7- Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans was caused by global warming
8- polar bears were drowning because of loss of ice in the arctic
9- coral reefs were bleaching because of global warming.
None of these statements in the book and movies were true, but Jim Hollingsworth documents 26 more errors Mr. Gore made either purposely or out of ignorance. You decide. In the past 16 years he has definitely not been held accountable for his wealth of misinformation. Perhaps bringing these very important mis-statements back into public view through Hollingsworth’s book and this article will help people understand the damage Al Gore has done to society. They include:
1- a one degree change in temperature can melt hundreds of feet of ice
2- hurricane Catrina in Brazil was man-made
3- recent Japanese typhoons set new records
4- hurricanes are getting stronger
5- storm insurance losses are increasing
6- flooding in Mumbai is increasing
7- severe tornadoes are increasing
8- the sun alone heats the Arctic Ocean
9- the Arctic is warming faster than the rest of the Earth
10- the Greenland ice sheet is unstable
11- Himalayan melt waters are no longer filling the rivers
      rivers below the mountains
12- Peruvian glaciers are disappearing
13- Mountain glaciers world-wide are disappearing
14- the Sahara Desert is drying up
15- the West Antarctic ice sheet is unstable
16- Antarctic Peninsula ice sheets are breaking up
17- the Larson B Ice shelf broke up because of Global
      warming
18- mosquitoes are climbing to higher altitudes
19- many tropical diseases are spreading due to global warming
20- West Nile Virus is spread through Global warming
21- carbon dioxide is a pollutant
22- the European heat wave of 2003 killed 35,000 people
23- Pied flycatchers can not feed their young
24- all illustrations in the movie are accurate
25- the Thames river barrier to the ocean is having to close more frequently
26- no facts in the movie are in dispute

In Dr. Hollingsworth’s book Climate Change: A Convenient Truth, he explains the actual truth about each of these mis-statements. The book has 48 brief chapters that deals with all the mis-information you have been exposed to. I strongly recommend it to any one wanting the whole truth with out any jargon filled complexities. In this day and age people should not be glorifying Al Gore.

Progressive Eco-Group Admits It: Renewable Energy is a Hoax that Benefits its Greenie Elmer Gantries like Al Gore

January 9, 2020 By John Eidson

Independent physicist John Droz, Jr. alerted me to the website of Deep Green Resistance (DGR), an international environmental organization that calls for the total destruction of what it refers to as the “global industrial economy,” a.k.a. capitalism. Given the group’s hard-left credentials, its call for dismantling capitalism throughout the world is not surprising.

What is surprising is that in an unusual show of progressive candor, Deep Green Resistance openly acknowledges what skeptical scientists have been saying for more than two decades: that renewable energy is a government-backed hoax that enriches big corporations -- and green energy investors like Al Gore -- at the expense of taxpayers and the environment. If you find that admission hard to believe, please keep reading. The questions and answers below are verbatim from the FAQ page on the organization’s website..............

Few insiders have profited more from taxpayer-backed renewable energy projects than Al Gore.  When he left the vice presidency in 2001, his net worth was estimated at $1 million to $2 million.  Since then, his wealth has skyrocketed to $300 million, and if the climate change legislation he advocates is enacted, the former vice president stands to become a billionaire............To Read More.....

Gore calls for centrally planned civilization in San Francisco

September 14, 2018 by , 0 Comments @ CFACT

“We have to make the decarbonization of the global economy the central organizing principle of human civilization,” said former Vice President Al Gore at a San Francisco forum organized in conjunction with Governor Brown’s “Global Climate Action Summit.”

CFACT is at the summit, where national sovereignty and individual freedom do not seem to part of the conversation.

Gore called for the United States to remain subject to the UN’s Paris Climate Accord despite President Trump’s decision to withdraw and President Obama’s failure to submit the “agreement” as a treaty to the Senate for ratification.

Gore said that, “under the law the first day that the United States of America could actually leave the  Paris agreement is the day after the next presidential election… and under the terms of the treaty if there is a new president… a new president could give thirty days notice and we’re right back in.”

Gore never misses a chance to attribute naturally occurring events to global warming and used this forum to attribute both California fires and Hurricane Florence to climate change.

Take a look at the graph climate scientist Dr. Roy Spencer posted earlier this week which shows that while the cost of hurricane damage has risen as a result of intense coastal development, hurricane intensity has not.

Sorry about the inconvenient facts, Al.

No Oscar nomination for Gore’s ‘Inconvenient Sequel’

by , 0 Comments

The Academy Awards snubbed the sequel to former Vice President Al Gore’s hugely successful climate change documentary, “An Inconvenient Truth.”  Gore’s 2017 film “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power” failed to pick up an Academy Award nomination for Best Documentary Feature. His 2006 film about rising ocean tides and catastrophic global warming won Oscars for best documentary and best song.

The first documentary grossed $24 million domestically and generated a fiercely loyal following, but the sequel did not fare so well; it earned a paltry $3.4 million and was widely panned.  Gore, who also won a Nobel Prize in 2007, crammed the film full of politically partisan scenes, such as when New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman met with him to discuss the months-long investigation into ExxonMobil’s climate research history.

He was an instrumental cog helping Schneiderman kickstart his probes, telling an audience at a press conference in March that the AG is going after companies “deceiving the American people, communicating in a fraudulent way, about the reality of the climate crisis and the dangers it poses.”.........To Read More....

Global Warming Predictions, Especially About the Future, is Really Hard.

By Rich Kozlovich

The title to this article has been used and paraphrased over and over again, and rightly so because prediction really is hard.  However, it appears the most celebrated scientist to take note of it was, Niels Bohr, a Danish physicist (1885 - 1962) who simply stated what intelligent people understand.

"Prediction is very difficult…especially about the future".

And I'm guessing of course, but I've wondered if he wasn't jabbing his more loquacious colleagues looking for notoriety. Not an uncommon problem now, and I'm sure then. The difference is these days they can predict something amazingly stupid and it's around the world before anyone can refute it.

In an article entitled, Al Gore’s Prediction For December 2017 Was Way, WAY Off The Mark, Andrew West outlines some of the scare mongering spouted by The High Priest of the Church of the Warming Globe, Al Gore.

Here's Anant Goel's discription of this massively expensive, disgustingly fraudulent scam by the world's biggest con artist of all time:

"Al Gore has a meltdown and despairs as his climate change alarm-ism fails with the general public. His worst fears are now being realized as he fails to become the planet's first climate Billionaire. This is my dream - that maybe one day we will get to see Al Gore grilled like this on the hundreds of millions of dollars he has made out of Global Warming nonsense.........Global Warming is on its way to becoming a hundred trillion dollar scam. The New World Order politician’s goals are to have total power and control over all the people. These politicians are using powerful human motivators in climate change: Fear and Guilt."
Dr. Don Easterbrook is a climate scientist who stated - seven years before Al Gore and the UNIPCC  shared the 2007 Nobel Peace Prize on their Global Warming predictions - stating the world would be cooling, not warming, and he was right.  As for these predictions he stated:
“When we check their projections against what actually happened in that time interval, they’re not even close. They’re off by a full degree in one decade, which is huge. That’s more than the entire amount of warming we’ve had in the past century. So their models have failed just miserably, nowhere near close. And maybe it’s luck, who knows, but mine have been right on the button,”
Then there's loony Prince Charlie.  It's no wonder the Queen of England keeps holding on to the throne.  In July of 2009 he predicted we only have 96 months to save world from burning up.  Well, there's only six months left to his prediction.  I wonder what the odds on a bet would be in Las Vegas that his prediction is going to fail?

In an effort to justify his loony ideas this guy - whose lived a life of luxury and privilege while never making any of the changes in his life he's been demanding of others - claims "the price of capitalism and consumerism is just too high"........ Blaming capitalism should be the first warning sign to anyone who pays attention to these loony leftist greenies there's something wrong with what they're saying.

But these two loons - albeit the most famous of the Sky is Falling crowd - are not alone.   The number of loons and loony predictions of a global warming catastrophic are Legion.

A massive list of failed predictors and their predictions appeared on Anthony Watts' website Watts ip With That, in the article, Some Failed Climate Predictions, which are far too numerous to list here, so please take the time to peruse this amazing list.

We have to get this once and for all.  Anyone promoting Anthropogenic Climate Change is either deliberately being fraudulent, a semi-pagan secular green fanatic, or is as dumb as tree moss.

I think that sums it up nicely.  Have a good day!

What natural disasters should teach us

Hurricanes, landslides and other disasters show Africans why we need fossil fuels

Steven Lyazi

I express my deepest sympathies to the people in the Caribbean and United States who have been impacted by Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria. The loss of life was tragic but has thankfully been much lower than in many previous storms. Buildings are stronger, people get warned in time to get out, and they have vehicles to get to safer places until the storms pass.

I also send my sincere sympathies to my fellow Ugandans who have been affected by terrible landslides in eastern Uganda, near Kenya. Natural disasters often strike us hard. Sometimes it is long droughts that dry up our crops and kill many cattle. This year it is torrential rains and landslides.

This time we were lucky. The collapsing hillsides destroyed three villages, but thankfully it was daytime and people were outside. They lost their homes, cattle and ripened crops, but not their families. A horrendous mudslide in the same mountainous area in 2010 buried 350 parents and children under 40 feet of mud and rock.

People there have been cutting down trees for decades – for fuel, lumber and to grow crops. Now no roots hold the hills together when it rains. More cracks have appeared in the hills, so more slides are likely. But people don’t want to leave their lands, and they’re not planting new trees either.

Some people are ignoring all this history and the human roles in causing these “natural” disasters. They are blaming the rains and mudslides on global warming, climate change and the fossil fuels that modern industrialized countries burn to provide modern homes, travels and living standards.

These false claims are intended to divert us from real problems. They are intended to justify demands and campaigns that Ugandans and other Africans should rely on a few wind turbines and solar panels and should never use oil, natural gas or coal to provide cheap, reliable and plentiful energy so that we can live more like Americans or Europeans.

These people want to become our Jesus, and save us from “global warming disasters,” by keeping us poor and at the mercy of Mother Nature. Former vice president Mr. Al Gore said manmade global warming has increased the number and strength of tornadoes and hurricanes, Mount Kilimanjaro’s glacier would disappear by 2016, and Arctic summers would be ice-free as soon as 2014.

None of this happened. So he just changed the year when the disasters will hit. Mr. Gore declares in his film that “it is right to save humanity.” Yes, it is and I support that with no argument.

But I would suggest that he and his friends begin by injecting their own billions of dollars into fossil fuels and nuclear energy to create jobs around the world, help us build modern homes, uplift economies so that people can live a self-sustainable life, and get rid of the diseases that are killing us.

He needs to stop trying to scare us by spreading false gospels about mankind and fossil fuels. He needs to stop trying to save humanity from movie disasters, when we face real disasters. He needs to stop making us rely on renewable energy, while he continues to have many big homes, drive around in big cars and fly in private jets all over the world.

Just in the last 25 years, fossil fuels have helped over 1.5 billion people in developing nations get electricity and escape deprivation, starvation, and lung and intestinal diseases that used to kill them and their children. But Africa, India and Asia still have vast regions that need to be electrified. More than a billion people in those regions still do not enjoy the wonderful blessings that electricity brings.

These places need more coal, gas and nuclear power plants. Thankfully they are building them, no matter what Mr. Gore and his radical friends say. Mr. Gore and his friends have fancy homes with every modern technology that electricity can bring. They have cars and modern hospitals.

My family in Kampala has a few of these things – a few lights and a radio, small stove and not even a little refrigerator. I just got a used computer that a friend sent me from the United States. Someday we would like a television and a normal sized refrigerator, like what we see in Europe and the States. Can we dream that someday we will have air conditioning?

Can the people in eastern Uganda dream of a time when they can rebuild their homes with more than mud and sticks? And actually have electricity, lights, refrigerators and stoves?

Radical Al Gore, renewable energy cheerleaders and climate activists have sweet homes and nice cars, jets and trains to take them anywhere they want to go 24/7. They cannot even come close to understanding how it feels to live in darkness, drink dirty water, and have no medicine except herbs and the grace of God when they get sick from malaria and other diseases they have never even heard of. They cannot imagine not being able to have a cold drink or hot coffee when they want one.

But they tell us we should be happy to enjoy the tiny improvements we might get from wind and solar power, as an “acceptable” and “preferred” and “sustainable” alternative to really better lives.

I have said this in my past articles, and I will still say it again. In Sub-Saharan Africa, nearly 700 million people still cook with wood, charcoal and animal dung, Hundreds of millions get horribly sick every year – and thousands die every year from lung and intestinal diseases, because we have to breathe smoke from open fires and don’t have refrigeration, clean water and safe food. Hundreds of millions are starving and malnourished, and try to survive on a few dollars a day.

Mr. Al Gore, how many dollars do you “survive” on per day? How many homes and refrigerators do you have? Can your refrigerators hold more than a few vegetables and a few bottles of milk or water?

To use the words of Rabbi Daniel Lapin, our impoverished masses simply want to take their rightful, God-given places among Earth’s healthy and prosperous people. Instead, we are being told “that wouldn’t be sustainable.” We are being told that improving our health, living standards and life spans is less important than avoiding the forthcoming climate cataclysm that Mr. Gore and his movies and computer models say will happen if we Africans modernize with fossil fuels.

These claims – and the false solutions to make-believe problems sometime in our future – ignore the real disasters and deaths that face us right now, every day of the year. They are intended to divert us from the better lives and sweet homes we dream of. They are intended to make Mr. Gore and his friends and the radical cheerleaders feel like they are saving Africans and our planet, while in reality they are killing millions of us every year.

Right this very minute, climate alarmists are blaming hurricanes and landside on fossil fuels. While they enjoy fancy homes, cozy beds and sofas, heating and air conditioning that keep them comfortable all year round, televisions and Alexa music, air travel whenever they want to go somewhere – they tell us Africans we should be happy and content with our “simple lives.” They tell us we should keep our oil, gas, coal and nuclear energy underground and untouched.

This is disgraceful. It is unacceptable. We will no longer tolerate it.

Alexander King was the co-founder of the Club of Rome, which wrote The Limits to Growth book. During World War II, he organized production of a new insecticide and gave it the name DDT. The chemical saved the lives of thousands of Allied troops in the Far East. It was also used to stop typhus epidemics in Europe after the war.

But later on he said: “My own doubts came when DDT was introduced for civilian use. In Guyana, within two years, it had almost eliminated malaria, but at the same time the birth rate had doubled. So my chief quarrel with DDT, in hindsight, is that it has greatly added to the population problem. Of course, I can’t play God on that one.”

But King and his followers did play God. They got DDT banned and even blocked its use in preventing malaria for decades. Millions of African parents and children died. Now his descendants want to keep us from using fossil fuels. Where is the justice and humanity in any of this?

Steven Lyazi is a student and worker in Kampala, Uganda. He served as special assistant to Congress of Racial Equality-Uganda director Cyril Boynes, until Mr. Boynes’ death in January 2015. He plans to attend college and help his country and Africa get the energy and other modern technologies they need.

Al Gore’s swimming pool uses the same electricity as six US homes

By Jo Nova

The National Center for Public Policy Research released a report that tells us Al Gore’s swimming pool uses the same electricity as six average US homes. In kilowatt hours, his house draws a total annual load equivalent to 21 homes — averages 19,241 kWh per month. He probably lives alone now that Tipper and the kids have moved out. This is after he paid $60,000 to add solar panels which provide about 5% of his domestic electricity (Why doesn’t he just go solar, that’d be only $720k, plus batteries).

He owns two other homes.

I would never use this as an ad hom argument to say that man-made global warming crisis is wildly exaggerated (there are plenty of other reasons to say that). Obviously poor Al needs to use more electricity than most people so he can swim in between flights, because he is constantly being attacked in articles like this one: .............To Read More..........

Shameless fear-mongering – versus reality

Al Gore pedals climate and weather scam. CFACT film and Aussie book present Climate Facts.

Paul Driessen

Before I could enjoy a movie last week, I was forced to endure five minutes of climate and weather fear-mongering, when the theater previewed Al Gore’s “Inconvenient Sequel.” His attempt to pin every weather disaster of the past decade on humanity’s fossil fuel use felt like fifty minutes of water boarding.

Mr. Gore has made tens of millions of dollars pedaling this nonsense and his demand that modern society undergo a “wrenching transformation” from oil, natural gas and coal to a utopian make-believe world powered by biofuels, wind and solar power, electric vehicles and batteries.

Every alarmist prediction has been falsified by actual events: from soaring temperatures to an ice-free Arctic to monstrous hurricanes that have not hit the USA since 2005. His attempt to blame New York City floods during Superstorm Sandy ignored inconvenient truths like construction that narrowed the Hudson River by hundreds of feet, forcing any incoming water to rise higher … and flood Manhattan. Mr. Gore conveniently ignores even well known climate change and weather events of past centuries.

No wonder this devotee of SUVs, private jets and multiple homes doesn’t have the spine to debate anyone over these issues. When he lectures us, he won’t even take questions that he has not preapproved.

Thankfully, those seeking an antidote or healthy dose of reality have alternatives. The Climate Hustle documentary film debunks scores of whacky predictions that never came true and presents solid evidence-based science from dozens of scientists who don’t accept “manmade climate crisis” claims. A new Australian book presents detailed and expert but fast-paced, readable material on key climate issues.

Climate Change: The Facts 2017 is the third in a series. Dedicated to the memory of the late, eminent Aussie geologist and climate scientist Bob Carter, its 22 chapters cover climate changes through the ages, the multiple natural forces that primarily drive climate and weather fluctuations, devious tricks that alarmist researchers have used to modify and “homogenize” actual temperature data, attempts to silence experts who focus on natural causes of climate change or on adaptation rather than costly “prevention,’ the historic context behind climate debates, and coral reef resilience amid alleged ocean “acidification.”

Assumed coral, shellfish and other asserted disasters from even slight changes in ocean pH are based on computer simulations that often extrapolate from laboratory experiments. John Abbott, Peter Ridd and Jennifer Marohasy point out that some of those experiments actually added hydrochloric acid to fish tanks to simulate acidification presumed to result from slight increases in atmospheric carbon dioxide!

Carbon dioxide has been demonized because it is a byproduct of fossil fuel use, and many activists want to eliminate the oil, natural gas and coal that provide over 80% of US and global energy. Moreover, while it helps trap solar heat and keep Earth inhabitable, CO2 is the polar opposite of a “dangerous pollutant.”

CO2 is vital plant food and fertilizer, essential for photosynthesis. Without it, life on Earth would cease to exist. In conjunction with slightly warmer global temperatures since the Little Ice Age ended (and modern industrial era began), rising atmospheric CO2 levels are helping to “green” the planet, by spurring crop, forest and grassland plants to grow faster and better, Craig Idso and Matt Ridley explain. 25-50% of vegetated parts of our planet have gotten greener over the past 33 years, from the tropics to the Arctic, and 70% of that greening is due to higher levels of CO2 in the atmosphere. Only 4% has gotten browner.

Ian Plimer, Ken Ring and Nicola Scafetta discuss natural climate cycles and the long planetary and human experience with major climate changes and weather events. Nothing seen today is unprecedented, and most is far more benign than in the past, they note. Bjorn Lomborg and other authors explain why we must end our obsession with the “climate crisis” and other exaggerated threats, and with false solutions to fabricated climate disasters. We need to spend our limited time, money and resources on the many real, pressing problems that confront mankind in developed and developing nations alike.

My chapter in The Facts addresses those pressing humanity problems, largely in the context of Pope Francis’s Laudato Si encyclical. For countless millennia, I note, humans endured brutal, backbreaking lives cut short by malnutrition and starvation, wretched cold and poverty, foul air, filthy water, myriad diseases, absent sanitary practices, and simple wounds that brought gangrene, amputation and death.

Then, in just two centuries, via discovery and progress powered by fossil fuels, billions of people doubled their life spans and became healthy, well fed, prosperous, increasingly mobile, and able to afford wondrous medical and other technologies, foods, services, luxuries and leisure-time activities that previous generations could not even imagine.

Mechanized agriculture – coupled with modern fertilizers, hybrid and GMO seeds, irrigation and other advances – enable smaller numbers of farmers to produce bumper crops that feed billions, using less land, water and insecticides. Improved buildings keep out cold, heat, and disease-carrying rodents and insects, and better survive earthquakes and extreme weather. Electricity transformed every aspect of our lives.

How can we not feel gratitude and appreciation for this progress, especially in the fields of medicine, engineering and communications?” His Holiness asks. Unfortunately, he then presents romanticized references to consistently mild climates, benevolent natural worlds and idyllic pastoral lives that never existed. He insists that Earth’s poorest people will soon face “grave existential risks” from planetary warming, if we do not quickly and significantly reduce fossil fuel use.
He ignores the absence of Real World evidence that greenhouse gases are causing climate chaos – and the compelling evidence that fossil fuels continue to bring enormous benefits.

Over the past three decades, oil, gas and especially coal have helped 1.3 billion more people get electricity and escape energy and economic destitution. China connected 99% of its population to the grid, mostly with coal. Average Chinese are now ten times richer and live 32 years longer than their predecessors did barely five decades previously. India is building numerous coal power plants to electrify its vast regions.

But more than 1.2 billion people (more than the USA, Canada, Mexico and Europe combined) still do not have electricity; another 2 billion have electrical power only sporadically and unpredictably. In Sub-Saharan Africa, 700 million still cook and heat with “renewable” wood, charcoal and animal dung.

Hundreds of millions get horribly sick – and five million die – every year from lung and intestinal diseases, due to breathing smoke from open fires and not having refrigeration, clean water and safe food. Hundreds of millions are starving or malnourished. Nearly 3 billion survive on a few dollars per day.

These destitute masses simply want to take their rightful, God-given places among Earth’s healthy and prosperous people. Instead, they are being told that “wouldn’t be sustainable.” They’re being told that improving their health, living standards and life spans is less important than avoiding the “looming climate cataclysm” that “threatens the very survival” of our wildlife, civilization and planet.

These claims – and the false solutions being offered to dire problems that exist only in alarmist movies, press releases and computer models – examine only far-fetched risks that fossil fuels supposedly might cause. They never consider the numerous dangers and damages those fuels reduce, prevent or eliminate. These attitudes are anti-science, anti-human, unjust, unethical – and genocidal.

Noted observer of popular culture Clive James wraps up this fascinating book.

Proponents of man-made climate catastrophe asked us for so many leaps of faith that they were bound to run out of credibility in the end, he says. And yet it would be unwise to think mankind’s capacity to believe in fashionable nonsense can be cured anytime soon. When this “threat” collapses, it will be replaced with another.

Al Gore, the IPCC, alarmist modelers and researchers, and EPA’s “social cost of carbon” scheme and carbon dioxide “endangerment” decision have all depended on the climate bogeyman. Eternal vigilance, education and pushback by the rest of us will be needed for years to come.

Gore’s Propaganda Piece Pulls Paltry Profits on Opening Weekend

It seems as though Al Gore’s shamanistic maligning of climate data has finally run its course in America.

By Andrew West August 7, 2017

As true science continues to tear apart the fabricated and perverted data extorted by leftist climate change fraudsters, the former Vice President who kicked off the entire eco-justice fad is facing serious box office backlash. Gore, whose first film, “An Inconvenient Truth”, was nothing more than an infomercial for his own carbon credits company, made a fortune both in movie profits and with the eco-guilt he created funneling liberal dollars into his own faux-solution.

It was as if someone was coercing you to send money to Black Lives Matter every time you watched a movie that portrays American slavery, and then BLM funneled that money back into slavery movies. “An Inconvenient Truth” was, for lack of a more sophisticated moniker, a sham.......To Read More....

Gore’s new health warning: ‘Every organ system can be affected by climate change’

July 25, 2017 Visit Climate Depot for more information

In Al Gore’s new book, “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power”, the former Vice President features a professor of pediatrics warning that global warming is impacting our health.
“Every organ system can be affected by climate change. When I say that, I get goosebumps,” says Pediatrician Susan Pacheco, a professor of pediatrics at University of Texas McGovern Medical School, in Gore’s new book.

Gore’s book features Pacheco and her climate change health warnings and touts the fact that the professor was inspired to get involved in climate activist after seeing his original film. The book is a companion to Gore’s new film being released this month, a sequel to his 2006 film “An Inconvenient Truth.”  The book is being billed as “Your action handbook to learn the science, find your voice, and help solve the climate crisis.” Gore’s new book excerpts available here. Excerpts of Gore reading the book available here.

Insanity and hypocrisy Down Under

Al Gore’s bombast and hypocrisy, an energy debacle “no one saw coming,” lessons for USA

Paul Driessen

The Wall Street Journal called it the energy shortage “no one saw coming.” Actually, a lot of people did see it coming. But intent on pursuing their “dangerous manmade climate change” and “renewable energy will save the planet” agendas, the political classes ignored them. So the stage was set.

As an Australia-wide heat wave sent temperatures soaring above 105 degrees F (40.6 C) in early 2017, air conditioning demand skyrocketed. But Adelaide, South Australia is heavily dependent on wind turbines for electricity generation – and there was no wind. Regulators told the local natural gas-fired power plant to ramp up its output, but it couldn’t get enough gas to do so. To avoid a massive, widespread blackout, regulators shut off power to 90,000 homes, leaving angry families sweltering in the dark.

According to the Journal, Aussie politicians and the wind industry, the primary problem was businesses that exported 62% of Australia’s natural gas production in 2016, leaving insufficient supplies to run gas backup power plants that are supposed to step in when wind and solar power fail. Policy makers “didn’t ensure enough gas would remain at home” and couldn’t foresee temperatures soaring with no wind.

Gas export licenses were issued without regard to the consequences for the domestic market,” said one pol. We should have had “a national interest test” in place to ensure domestic gas needs, said another.

During this and even bigger Aussie blackouts, valuable fish, meat and produce rotted when freezers and refrigerators shut down. Business operations were interrupted or shut down. Rising electricity prices and unreliable power impacted smelters, factories and other businesses, causing many to lay off workers.

The blackouts and energy debacle “offer lessons for America, as it prepares to vastly increase natural gas shipments abroad,” the Journal advises. It certainly does, though not the lessons suggested by the article or people quoted in it, amid the “excessive exports” narrative. Here are some of the correct lessons.

First and foremost, have debates and red team-blue team exercises. Listen to experts who aren’t locked into climate chaos and renewable energy themes. Foster public discussions, instead of silencing them. Understand the entire situation and all the likely consequences of each alternative, before legislating.

Recognize and study reality. Dead calms occur frequently when temperatures are at their highest, or their lowest – when families, businesses, hospitals and schools need electricity the most. Clouds can blanket regions for days or weeks on end. Reliance on wind and solar is risky, and reliable backup is essential.

The justification for eliminating coal and mandating 50% wind and solar is heavily rooted in fears of catastrophic manmade climate change. But the alleged crisis has no basis in observed evidence. The 18-year pause continues apace, with the El Niño temperature spike of 2015-16 gone … and average global temperatures back down to where they were in March 2015. Hurricanes, tornadoes, floods and droughts are in line with or below multi-century historic trends and fluctuations and are hardly unprecedented. Greenland just recorded its most frigid July temperature reading in history: -33 C (-27 F).

If alarmists have evidence to the contrary, they must present it for review – including original temperature data, not the revised, homogenized data that American, Australian and other scientists have been presenting to support cataclysm claims and justify demands that we eliminate fossil fuels and switch to renewable energy, regardless of the unprecedented energy and economic risks that would pose.

Second, if Australia (or the USA) is to “keep what’s theirs,” instead of exporting it, keeping it in the ground is the wrong way to do it. Exports may be playing a role. But Victoria and New South Wales have banned fracking, more are likely to follow, coal burning and nuclear are also banned – and you cannot export, use or generate electricity with energy that you are prohibited from taking out of the ground. You cannot benefit from resources you hoard and lock up.

Ban fracking, and you ensure more natural gas shortages, soaring electricity prices, ever-greater reliance on expensive, unreliable wind and solar power, more blackouts, more layoffs, more economic downturns and dislocations, more shipping of good jobs overseas. Your may get many new low-pay jobs hauling, installing, maintaining and removing wind turbines and solar panels made in China. But you won’t have smelters, foundries, turbine and panel factories, or the high-pay jobs that go with them.

Adding to the problem, Institute of Public Affairs research director Brett Hogan notes, many coal and gas operators are investing less in maintenance because there is little point in spending on plants that activists and politicians are trying to shut down. “That explains why their reliability is starting to wobble at times, which the renewables crowd falsely claims is proof that fossil fuels are also unstable.”

Meanwhile renewable energy mandates “are pushing out the cheapest electricity provider in Australia (coal), gas prices are being set at the international level, and activists are demanding fracking bans that limit gas supplies and make gas still more expensive,” he adds. The results should be easy to foresee.

Third, applying a “national interest test” should not pertain only to export licenses. It must also apply to fracking and nuclear bans, coal and gas plant closures, and effects of skyrocketing electricity prices on smelters, factories, hospitals, schools, local governments and families. Government-imposed Australian austerity and sacrifices will have trivial, un-measurable, irrelevant impacts on atmospheric CO2 levels in the face of growing coal use and emissions from China, India, Indonesia, virtually all other Asia-Pacific nations, and the rest of the world. How does Australia’s overall national interest stack up against that?

Once again, open, robust debate, honest, transparent information – and stiff penalties for prevarication, fabrication and falsification – are absolutely essential.

Under sustainability and climate precepts, we are supposed to safeguard the assumed needs of future generations, even if it means ignoring or compromising the undeniable needs of current generations. We are supposed to protect people from theoretical, exaggerated risks of dangerous manmade climate change, regardless of how slashing fossil fuel use impacts millions of businesses and families. That is untenable.

In the midst of all this, the Journal reports, Tesla CEO Elon Musk has offered to build a giant battery system in South Australia – as though batteries can back up wind power for hundreds of thousands of homes and businesses … especially under true sustainability, economic and national interest tests. Mr. Musk, however, needs new customers to offset plunging sales in Hong Kong, Denmark and elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the ECOCITY World Summit is being held in Melbourne. City planners, architects, elected officials, professors, teachers and eager recipients of more taxpayer-funded renewable energy grants are soaking up fake facts and clever strategies for imposing sustainable development goals on the governed classes. As my CFACT colleagues observing the summit put it, they want to use financial instruments and courts to transform communities into “sustainable and resilient cities,” with them in charge.

Al Gore is jetting around the land Down Under, promoting his new climate chaos film and claiming manmade pollution is equivalent to 400,000 Hiroshima atomic bombs going off daily! Making Australian heat waves five times more likely because of manmade global warming! Teachers and journalists get free passes to Gore’s events, to get their propaganda talking points, but no one is allowed to record any part of his talks, to avoid embarrassing the false prophet. When Climate Depot’s Marc Morano offered him a free DVD of the Climate Hustle documentary film, a scowling Al Gore headed to his SUV and private jet.

Mr. Gore and other alarmists are generally panic-stricken about debating climate realists, especially in debates proposed by USEPA Administrator Scott Pruitt. Participating in them would expose their claims to unaccustomed scrutiny, but refusing to do so would leave the impression that they have something to hide: such as their raw data, deceptive methodologies and absence of evidence to support their models.

They should be worried. If the crisis is exaggerated, fabricated or exists only in computer models, we will refuse to keep spending countless trillions on junk research and job-killing renewable energy schemes.
