Spotlight on America is a online newsletter highlighting articles that have appeared in America Out Loud, which I had the privilege of writing for and did some podcasts and radio shows in times past.  I stopped because it gets to be a job, and at my age, I really don't want a job.  However, I still consider that to have been a privilege.

Here are the articles they've highlighted this week. 

In spite of the outrageous claims by the Democrats and their lackeys in the media that Trump's destroying the economy, the economy continues to grow, yet the media continues to fuel anxiety.  As the author points states and asks:

Then we have:

Russiagate beats Watergate by a mile, but what about repercussions? - While mainstream media is trying to push other stories ahead of this one, it must be noted that this scandal was exponentially worse than the Watergate robbery, as it was designed to alter the direction of and interfere with the 2016 presidential election. While Nixon was on the way to a landslide victory over George McGovern, Hillary Clinton’s election and electability were in question for nearly a decade beforehand........

I would like to point out personal lives weren't destroyed by the Watergate crowd, and Nixon's only involvement was the later coverup.   There's every indication that Obama was the originator and director for this scandal, and many lives were destroyed by their lawfare illegalities in the process.  Someone needs to be held accountable.  

Is real "hope and change" on the way?  Prof. Pedro Blas González says, Finally, ‘hope and change’ is coming.  The author says:

Is there reason to believe that hope and change are finally coming to America? The underlying political, social, and cultural conditions of late postmodern life and society are morally corrosive and destructive of our capacity to cultivate the moral and spiritual higher ground of personhood. Social political demagogues know this and exploit it for power.  It was Blatant Ill-Will for America and Its People.............The aim of Obama and the globalists who helped place this obscure Marxist ‘community organizer’ in power was to bring the alleged capitalist beast that is America down to its knees, which they accomplished........

Let us not forget that Obama’s rallying cry for hope and change was to ‘fundamentally transform’ America. This meant dismantling American values and traditions piece by piece. Obama, the bourgeois, Marxist Gargantua who mysteriously descended upon America to save its people from oppressors, did just that..........If people can’t live with morality – only with the law – then let us ramp up the investigations.  Americans are paying attention, especially the young..............

The Democrat party is now the unofficial Communist Party of America, running outright communist candidates for government positions nation wide.  Lt. Steve Rogers calls out to the Democrat rank and file to Take your party back from the Communists.  Sounds good, but it ain't gonna happen.  We're no longer talking about the "loyal opposition".  They're the "disloyal opposition" trying to destroy the American identity, culture, economy, and eliminate the Constitution replacing it with the socialist tyranny of one party rule.  That's who the Democrats are at their core now, and that's not going to change.   For that to change would require them to become conservatives.  Don't bet the house on that happening. 

And finally, Is the Genius Act a back door to CBDC and financial control?  Blanquita Cullum asks:

Are your finances at risk under the new Genius Act? I discuss what this regulatory framework for stablecoins really means for your economic security.......Could this be a back-door to Central Bank Digital Currency and loss of financial freedom, or is it a solution for instability...

Truthfully, I haven't the vaguest understanding about bitcoin realities, but what I do believe is this as an opportunity for the government to at some point control buying and selling based on political and/or religious positions, we've already seen some of that with debanking issues around he world.  Is this about safety and stability?  Tyranny is often disguised as a need for safety and stability, and then as it grows it becomes so large and ubiquitous it's too large  and to powerful to do anything about it.  

The Gordian Knot That's Obamagate

Currently the two biggest stories are the Epstein scandal, and the Russiagate scandal, and now they're being tied together like a Gordian, and are being called Obamagate, and rightly so.   As I see it there are eight foundational things that can be taken away from all of this. 

1. Hillary was running in 2016 to make sure none of this information ever got out to the public….ever!
2. After she lost in order to avoid exposure they desperately needed to win the 2020 election, at any cost, including massive and provable levels of voter fraud.   But their bench is so shallow they opted for a man who was not only dumb as a rock, he was clearly losing it mentally, and they knew it, and his mental decline became accelerated so badly during his voter fraud acquired presidency, everyone knew it.
3. By electing Donald Trump in 2024 America prevented the destruction of the United States, and the Constitution. 
4. No one, including Trump realized just how massively this corruption permeated the deep state, although they should have and took action during his first term.
5. It’s now clear the federal judiciary is part of this corruption.
6. The real movers behind this are billionaires who insanely desire the destruction of the nation and the system that created them, and they must be insane.  There also seems to be a China connection there, and while that's still conjecture, I believe it.  Oops...is that another conspiracy theory?  Well, I'm betting this will be another conspiracy theory that proves factual.
7. Someone had better end up in prison over this, someone big, or none of this will matter in the least over the long haul.
8. I'm probably going to break out in hives saying this since I pretty much despise Richard Nixon, but truth is truth, and "the entire country owes Richard Nixon an apology because what he did while wrong was nothing compared to what has been done by so many since."

Obama and virtually all he put in positions of power suffer from excessive levels of weird compounded by a massive infection of hubris believing they're untouchable and the swamp will protect and save them. They delusionally believe they're true leaders, and equipped with all the qualities of true leadership, when in reality they're clueless followers, and when left to their own devices, they're exposed as fools. 

They keep lying to defend their illegal actions, and we should thank them for that since each time they shoot off their mouths they extend the "five-year “clock” on a “grand conspiracy”'.  They keep talking, keep lying, and each time they do that's considered an overt act, and the clock "starts anew with each overt act"!  Any pardons given by Biden will be meaningless since this is a conspiracy, and any "overt acts" are considered new crime as a continuation of that conspiracy, which is not covered by these pardons.

They all suffer from unchecked arrogance and psychopathy, which is a personality disorder characterized by a "lack of empathy, shallow emotions, manipulative tendencies, and antisocial behavior,,,,,, a disregard for the feelings and rights of others". 

What could possibly go wrong?  Everything, as we're now seeing how many lives they destroyed as they rampaged like ravenous wolves through the nation's rule of law, and it's now time for a reckoning!

Update, 2:14 AM:  Treason, Epstein, And ‘Distractions’ — A Guide For The Perplexed -  Shortly after President Donald Trump accused Barack Obama of treason – an epithet that has been thrown at Trump practically every day – Obama spokesman Patrick Rodenbush said: “These bizarre allegations are ridiculous and a weak attempt at distraction.”

Distraction from what?

Rodenbush didn’t have to say, because the media have been busy filling in that blank. “Trump tries to distract from Epstein by casually accusing Obama of treason,” is how MSNBC put it. CNN’s headline blared that “Trump’s longtime rage at Obama roars back amid Epstein furor.” “Critics say Trump is trying to distract from Epstein by talking about everything but that,” is how ABC News put it.

Let’s see if we understand this..... the official media definition of “distraction.” Distraction (n.):1. Events or scandals that threaten the interests of a Democrat.  2. Anything that doesn’t fit the media’s anti-Republican narrative.  We hope this clears things up......

New York Times Manipulates FBI Lawyer's Guilty Plea To Hide Real Spygate News

A New York Times reporter who won a Pulitzer Prize for his role perpetrating the Russia collusion hoax was tasked with framing the news that a former top FBI lawyer was to plead guilty to deliberately fabricating evidence against a Donald Trump campaign affiliate targeted in the Russia probe. The resulting article is a case study in how to write propaganda.

Adam Goldman broke, and cushioned, the news that former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith was to plead guilty to fabricating evidence in a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) warrant application to spy on Trump campaign affiliate Carter Page.

His job was to present the news as something other than an indictment of the FBI’s handling of the Russia collusion hoax, to signal to other media that they should move on from the story as quickly as possible, and to hide his own newspaper's multi-year participation in the Russia collusion hoax. One intelligence source described it as an "insult" to his intelligence and "beyond Pravda," a reference to the official newspaper of the Communist Party in the Soviet Union. Major Development In Durham Probe Ignored During CNN, MSNBC Primetime Coverage

• CNN and MSNBC devoted little coverage Friday and Saturday to the first development in U.S. Attorney John Durham’s investigation of the origins of the Trump-Russia probe.
• Kevin Clinesmith, a former FBI lawyer, is expected to plead guilty to altering an email regarding former Trump aide Carter Page’s past association with the CIA. 
• CNN and MSNBC employ at least three former FBI and CIA officials as analysts, though none appeared on air to discuss the Clinesmith case. 
• MSNBC host Chuck Todd questioned whether the Durham probe was aimed at “creating confusion.”

CNN and MSNBC largely ignored the news Friday that a former FBI lawyer will plead guilty to altering an email related to Carter Page, the former Trump campaign aide. Neither network mentioned the case against the former FBI lawyer, Kevin Clinesmith, in their primetime broadcasts, according to a review conducted by the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Ex-FBI Lawyer to Plead Guilty in Durham Probe

Former FBI attorney Kevin Clinesmith intends to plead guilty to falsifying a document to justify surveillance of a former Trump campaign adviser as part of the 2016 investigation into Russian interference in the presidential election, according to several outlets.

His plea is the first criminal case brought by U.S. Attorney John Durham, whom Attorney General William Barr appointed to lead the investigation into the origins of the Russia investigation.
Clinesmith is accused of altering an email that said Trump campaign adviser Carter Page was not a source for the CIA, even though Page had had a relationship with the agency. As the 2016 election cycle approached, a number of Republican candidates solicited Flynn’s advice to include Ben Carson, Carly Fiorina, and Ted Cruz. In a sense, Flynn chose Donald Trump as much as Donald Trump chose him. At the time, the candidate’s understanding of what he called “the swamp” consisting of bureaucrats, elected officials, consultants, and contractors enriching themselves at the expense of the American taxpayer, was mostly theoretical. But Flynn had detailed knowledge of how the Beltway worked.

With that, the two men hit it off and as a result, the General traveled with candidate Trump regularly. In fact, outside of Trump’s family, Flynn was his closest adviser. The foreign policy initiatives he articulated were the president-elect’s, and when he spoke to foreign officials, Flynn indeed, was speaking for Trump.

The other thing that Flynn was aware of was that the Obama administration’s major spying operations on its foes and opponents. As I have talked about in previous writings on Obama administration domestic spying, which is a felony if identified and released, was a frequent occurrence. By law, the names of Americans are minimized in transcripts of intercepted foreign communications to protect their privacy. For instance, an American swept-up in an intercept might be referred to as a “U.S. Person.” It is not illegal or even necessarily improper for U.S. intelligence officials to de-minimize, or “unmask,” their identities and find out who “U.S. Person” is, provided there are genuine and legitimate intelligence and national security reasons for doing so. It was after the Russia Collusion ordeal story surfaced, in May 2017, when most of us learned that Barack Obama had warned President-elect Trump, without explanation, against hiring Michael Flynn.  It was Nov. 10, 2016, just two days after Donald Trump won the 2016 Election. From that meeting, Trump told staff aide Hope Hicks that he was bewildered by the Obama’s warning. Of all the important things Obama could have discussed with him, the outgoing commander in chief wanted to talk about Michael Flynn.

Someone finally brings clarity to the Obamagate narrative

One of the problems with Obamagate is that it’s incredibly complicated. It began under the Obama administration, involved the alphabet agencies (the CIA, the FBI, and the DOJ), as well as President Obama, the National Security Advisor, the Director of National Intelligence, the FISA court, and overseas intelligence agencies.

The wrongdoing included false affidavits, spying on innocent people, including the president-elect, unmasking, and set-ups, such as perjury traps and spies inveigling people into ambiguous statements that could be used against them. It then escalated to an attempt to overthrow the Trump presidency through a two-year-long investigation that destroyed several people’s lives, even though the Special Counsel’s office knew from Day One that neither Trump nor his team had done anything wrong.

And what I stated above is just the super simple, short version. Meanwhile, on the other side, for three years, all that the left had to do was holler “Russia! Russia! Russia! Collusion! Ukraine! Putin!” and everyone fell in line................

During an appearance with Lawrence O’Donnell on The Last Word a few days ago, a caller asked Joe Biden a very interesting and ironically appropriate question: “Would you be willing to commit to the ideal that no one is above the law?” Because the question had been framed in the context of Gerald Ford’s pardon of Richard Nixon and Biden was being asked if he would pardon President Trump after being elected, without really thinking, he jumped at the opportunity to boldly proclaim that no one is above the law and said, Yes!”

For once in his life, Biden had blurted out an instinctive and obvious truth, and those words may eventually come back to haunt him. During his very last days as vice president, Biden unmasked General Michael Flynn and by a very strange coincidence, it happened to be the very same day Flynn’s name was leaked to the media. Perhaps the most troubling - and dangerous - aspect of the current political conversation is the unwillingness of virtually every elected official and every media pundit to confront what “Obamagate” is obviously about, which is treason. Specifically, treason committed by the Obama White House in attempting to block and then overthrow the Trump presidency. Obamagate is about the failed attempt by President Obama and his appointees to use government intelligence agencies to spy on the Trump campaign and White House, to concoct a phony accusation of collusion with Russia against the president and then to obstruct his administration and overthrow him...........

If all parties remain reluctant to name the threat embodied in Obamagate, it’s not only unlikely but also unreasonable to expect justice to be the outcome. Fortunately, at least one political figure is ready to do this. One can assume it was President Trump who provided Rudy Giuliani, with the license to speak frankly.

“They wanted to take out the lawfully elected President of the United States,” Giuliani told talk show host John Catsamatidas, “and they wanted to do it by lying, submitting false affidavits, using phony witnesses — in other words, they wanted to do it by illegal means . . . What did President Obama know and when did he know it? That famous formulation is emerging as the question in the wake of new disclosures in respect of a meeting that took place inside the Oval Office in the closing days of Mr. Obama’s presidency. The meeting included not only his national security adviser, Susan Rice, and the head of the FBI, James Comey, but also Vice President Biden, now the prospective Democratic nominee.

This is laid out in, among other places, a dispatch by Mollie Hemingway in the Federalist. Ms. Hemingway reckons the meeting is turning out to be, as her headline puts it, “key” to the “entire anti-Trump operation” launched two weeks before the end of the Obama administration. She’s not the only one laying this out; a veteran of the Sun, Eli Lake, now of Bloomberg, has been all over the story; the Wall Street Journal, as well.

Ms. Hemingway presents a terrific timeline. It starts on January 4, 2017, at a time when the FBI was scrambling, as the Federalist’s scribe puts it, to reopen a case against General Flynn. The January 5 meeting started as a briefing for the President and also included Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, the CIA director, John Brennan, and the Director of National Intelligence, James Clapper..............

As we discover the depths to which the Obama operatives and holdovers went to skewer the Trump campaign/administration from 2016-20, I find myself wondering just what the Nixon operatives were up to, back in the bad old Watergate 1970s.

Back in the day the eeevil Republican Richard Nixon thought he needed to spy on the opposition in the run-up to the 1972 election. So he set up a nongovernmental Special Investigations Unit to go a-burgling.

Just the day before yesterday the noble Democrat Barack Obama -- or his henchmen -- wanted to spy on the opposition presidential campaign. So they went to their pals at the FBI and Main Justice and the intelligence community and got them to go a-spying.

Just yesterday the patriotic Obama holdovers in the Trump administration spent three years trying to trip up President Trump based on fake accusations that we now know -- because said holdovers didn’t want to risk lying under oath -- that they knew were fake.

So why did President Nixon start the “plumbers unit” that eventually burgled the Democratic National Committee at the Watergate back in 1972?.......But honor among liberals is different, because all liberals are the good guys bending the arc of history towards justice.

Thus, it’s okay to break the law and violate procedures and use government power to oppress the opposition. Liberals are the good guys, and they are on the right side of history. Former Fox News Host Cites This as 'the Worst Journalistic Fiasco' He's Ever Seen. He's Not Wrong

Former Fox News host Brit Hume has seen a lot on his career in media that spans five decades. He’s still a regular fixture on the network, serving as a senior political analyst, but he has cited one event that has been a total trainwreck for the industry: The Trump-Russia collusion hoax.

From the get-go, it started out as sour grapes from liberals. How could Hillary lose; Trump must’ve cheated? This circus began quickly. As we now know, former President Barack Obama held a key meeting on January 5, 2017—days before the Trump inauguration—to lay out his game plan for protecting the FBI’s counterintelligence probe into Russian collusion. Preferably, it would be nice if the Trump team never found out about it. And so, the deluge of targeted leaks, which was part of executing Barry’s last-minute order was initiated.

How many bombshells did we endure? How many fell apart within 36-48 hours? Too many to count because there is no evidence of Russian collusion. It’s one of those fantastic lies the liberal media peddled and got the base of the Democratic Party rambunctious with impeachment lust. It took the special counsel investigation and an IG report from the Department of Justice to debunk this clown show. Both reports shot holes through the whole narrative and slicing away at the Trump dossier, a piece of Democrat opposition research funded by the party and the Hillary Clinton campaign. It was compiled by an ex-MI6 spook and it was mostly unverified gossip. And yet, it was used to secure a spy warrant against former Trump campaign official, Carter Page.............

.It was considered tin foil hat talk to suggest that Michael Flynn was the victim of an FBI run amok. It’s not. New documents show that Flynn was the subject of an entrapment plot spearheaded by the bureau’s top brass, like James Comey and Andrew McCabe, both disgraced, who wanted to get Flynn no matter what. We have former Obama officials going on MSNBC and claiming they have evidence of collusion when they really have none. That was exposed in a document dump from acting Director of National Intelligence Richard Grenell. Take the Chinese genesis of the COVID-19 epidemic. We started in February with the usual Chinese deceptions about their role in the birth, transmission, and worldwide spread of the virus.
No one, apparently except Mike Bloomberg and Bill Gates, was surprised by the accustomed politically correct prevarications of the Chinese-purchased World Health Organization, whose transparent lies were passed off as truth—and led to tens of thousands of deaths...............Were the Chinese embarrassed that they had accused Washington of being racist for belatedly doing exactly what they had done earlier? Of course not. In their eyes, weak decadent Westerners welcome such help in aiding their own self-abnegation and debasement...................

So that was an unbearable truth. But what to do?  Cancel U.S. debt held by China? That is likely a terrible idea that would undermine the world’s entire financial system. Cut off all relations? Embargos, sanctions, social distancing on a transnational scale? Expel all Chinese students? Bring home every American business in China? Seems unlikely.................The result is that everyone from Michael Bloomberg and Bill Gates to the CNN/MSNBC crowd know the truth that China despises the United States, feels that America is a spent and increasingly toxic society, and is ever more emboldened to humiliate its rival...................

Consider also Joe Biden. Most Democrats have long known that Biden was a blowhard, a plagiarist, and a serial fabricator. Take Bernie Sanders out of the race, and Biden would have offered little utility, and his candidacy likely would have sputtered to an end............The point instead is that Joe Biden’s accuser should be believed—but according to Joe Biden’s prior own standards, statements and sermonizing. Tara Reade, playing a stronger hand than Christine Blasey Ford, has lodged a sexual assault charge against a far more likely suspect offender than Brett Kavanaugh. Biden, in most other circumstances, would be cheering her on to pursue her charges and pursue her truth were it not against himself.

The Democrats know all this, but the truth too is unbearable........the truth is again intolerable..............So watch as Tara Reade disappears into a media decompression chamber, designed to let her vent to mute walls, and thus be contained until she is recalibrated, exhausted and inert and the danger passes............

There is another unendurable truth: Joe Biden himself is not cognitively able to run a presidential campaign.............His planned series of fireside snarky critiques of the president’s handling of the virus imploded when he could speak neither with or without notes, nor with or without the teleprompter, nor with or without friendly media prompts from his progressive interlocutors, nor with or without his wife’s encouragement at his side.............On any given day, at any given moment Biden can say something not just controversial in the manner of Donald Trump, but something that simply cannot be deciphered or translated into any known language.

So, what does one do with kryptonitic truth?  Nothing................The truth is simply too foreboding even to contemplate.

Add up Michael Horowitz’s inspector general’s report. Review the wreckage of the Mueller investigation. Collate the evidence that Christopher Steele was an utter fraud and dupe. Remember that Hillary Clinton destroyed her hard drives and communication devices, that the FBI liquidated hundreds of text messages of Lisa Page and Peter Strzok, and that Christopher Steele destroyed all his emails and data about “Russian sources.”...............To the unendurable truth that a sitting president unleashed his intelligence agencies to warp an election, feigned ignorance of his central role, and yet finally was so furious about the winner that he sought to sabotage his successor’s transition and, by association, his presidency.

Richard Grenell, a True Hero of Our Times

You may have noticed, as a mere citizen of this country, there are many things you are not supposed to know.............When Congress wishes to interview key players on a matter of significance, they first, and often only, do it in camera so you infants aren’t allowed to hear the truth as it emerges under oath.  The result? In public, you are lied to, repeatedly, until you are constrained to believe the lie that is being echoed endlessly by the media.

Most of us, therefore, regard our nation’s capital as the epicenter of obfuscation and prevarication, a place where you can’t find an honest man, ...............America in 2020.......... has found its Diogenes just in the nick of time.

His name is Richard Grenell, formerly U.S. ambassador to Germany and, before that, spokesperson for various U.N. ambassadors and now acting director of national intelligence.

Grenell, that ingrate, decided that we weren’t so stupid after all and were able to determine the truth for ourselves if given access to the facts. So he marched testimony, heretofore hidden, due to the restrictions of one Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif.), regarding the Trump–Russia probe over to another potential Diogenes (William Barr—two for the price of one), and the rest is emerging history.
What are we discovering so far? That the aforementioned Mr. Schiff is a serial liar verging on the pathological is something of a yawner at this point.

Much more important—wedged between a slew of “leaders” who apparently said one thing in public and something entirely different under oath—is the following, well explained by Zachary Stieber on this outlet:

“Outgoing President Barack Obama revealed in early 2017 that he knew details from phone calls incoming Trump administration National Security Adviser Michael Flynn made, surprising one of the Department of Justice’s top officials, according to newly released documents.”...............The president must have known it was time for a Diogenes, an honest man to open the books, be transparent, and reveal the truth of what’s been going on in the last few years. If confirmed as Director of National Intelligence, Texas Republican John Ratcliffe said this week, he would not let any “outside influence,” impact or alter intelligence. His loyalty would be “to the Constitution and rule of law” and Ratcliffe would “speak the truth to power.” As Ratcliffe knows, the intelligence community has been protecting the powerful from the truth, but change is in the wind.

On May 4, acting DNI Richard Grenell informed Congress that some 53 transcripts of interviews were declassified, redacted and ready for release. These include interviews with former DNI James Clapper, Loretta Lynch, Samantha Power, Andrew McCabe, Susan Rice, Ben Rhodes, and John Podesta. As Fox News reports, none of the 53 witnesses could provide evidence of collusion between Trump and Russia........To Read More....
