Culture is King!

 Today at American Thinker Avrohom Gordimer published this piece, Orthodox Jews and Trump, saying:

 

It is no secret that the Orthodox Jewish community, of which I am a part, is overwhelmingly supportive of President Trump for reelection. Although the numbers are even higher now, Trump enjoyed the support of 89% of the Orthodox Jewish community in the 2020 election. Of a rapidly-growing community of close to 1 million people, this says a ton.

 

Culture is king, and you can't reason people out of positions they've not be reasoned into, but you can "experience" people out of those positions, and the antisemitism that's inflaming the nation today is shocking, and I believe it has to even shock the secular Jews.   

 

There is an upside to all of this, especially the abusive, violent, and discriminatory behavior against Jewish students on America's college campus.  Those young, smart, and abused Jewish students are not going to be leftists, no matter what they're family's political culture may be.  They've been "experienced" out of those views.  A new culture in development.

 

And just because so many American Jews are now secularized and worship leftism, they'd better get this right in their heads. If these monsters take over, they won't care if they're secular or religious, the antisemites are going to lump them all together, just as the Nazis did, that's what leftists do, starting with the French Revolution.

That's history, and that history is incontestable. 

Then we have all this talk about how RFK, Jr. may drop out of the race and endorse Trump.  Well, if he does I wonder what he gets in return? If Trump just says thank you and walks away, then it's not a problem. If Kennedy gets anything in return, it's a problem. He's a Kennedy, he's a radical leftist, and did I mention he's a Kennedy. Oh, yeah I did, and so let me say it again. He's a Kennedy. Nuf Ced?

The truth is I doubt his endorsement would be all that helpful.  His voters are Democrats, they're left wing radicals, just like Kennedy, or they wouldn't be supporting him, so they're either going to vote for Kamala, or they simply won't vote.  

The "Republican" votes he was going to get would be from nitwits like Liz Chaney, Mitt Romney, John Kasich, Paul Ryan, etc. Just as Susan Collins is going to write in Nikki Haley in stead of voting for Trump, they weren't going to vote for Trump no matter what, they're already lost votes, and that number is small, and after this all plays out, that number will be even smaller, so, who cares?

Culture is king, and they're no longer part of the conservative culture, and will be shunned, except by the Pravda media who will trot them out for their views, even though no one really cares what they have to say. 

And finally, this idea that capitalism and conservatism are pages in the same book, they're not.  Since I write about everything that goes on in the world, I subscribe to a number of news sources, including geopolitical sites, and reading their views is so often a painful task, and I include those at the American Enterprise Institute, which these days I just scan rather than read as I can see the foolish direction they're going in so many of their commentaries, and find them hard to stomach.

I was an exterminator for 40 years and served for 25 of them of them as a officer or board member of a number of our industry trade associations, and I discovered believing that large corporations and manufacturers are conservative is a serious error in judgement, they're as slippery as a Tallyrand, or a Kissinger.

At best.... I found them to be leaky vessels as allies dealing with major legislation, including the Montreal Protocol, the Kyoto Accords, the Colony Collapse Disorder lies, etc.   

Calling them leaky vessels is being kind, since entirely too often they're views are simply self-serving and corrupt. They even corrupt the trade associations turning them into cats paws for big government activism and unwarranted abusive regulations, which goes back to FDR who utilized them - actually threatened them - to promote his unconstitutional National Recovery Act.

Until a few months ago, we’d never heard of the Journal of Controversial Ideas, a peer-reviewed publication whose aim is to promote “free inquiry on controversial topics.” Our research typically didn’t fit that description. We finally learned of the journal’s existence, however, when we tried to publish a commentary about how modern science is being compromised by a de-emphasis on merit. Apparently, what was once anodyne and unobjectionable is now contentious and outré, even in the hard sciences. Merit isn’t much in vogue anywhere these days. We’ve seen this in the trend among scientists to judge scientific research by its adherence to dominant progressive orthodoxies and in the growing reluctance of our institutions to hire and fund scientists based on their ability to propose and conduct exciting projects. Our intent was to defend established and effective practices of judging science based on its merit alone.................

The crux of our argument is simple: Science that doesn’t prioritize merit doesn’t work, and substituting ideological dogma for quality is a shortcut to disaster. A prime example is Lysenkoism—the incursion of Marxist ideology into Soviet and Chinese agriculture in the mid-20th century. Beginning in the 1930s, the U.S.S.R. started to enforce the untenable theories of Trofim Lysenko, a charlatan Russian agronomist who rejected, among other things, the existence of standard genetic inheritance. As scientists dissented—rejecting Lysenko’s claims for lack of evidence—they were fired or sent to the gulag. Leftists Defend Those Who Won't Allow Conservative Parents to See Them or Their Grandchildren

My last column, "Why Many Conservatives Won't Be with Their Children or Grandchildren This Christmas," dealt with the issue of parents whose left-wing adult children have cut off all contact with their parents because the parents are on the Right -- children who will not even allow their parents to have contact with their grandchildren.

One would think that any person with a functioning conscience and a normal human heart would feel for these parents. As I wrote in the column, if the roles were reversed -- that is, if a right-wing child severed all contact with his or her parents because the parents were on the Left, I would feel awful for those parents and condemn any conservative child who did such a thing.

Here are three of the many typical comments from conservative parents and grandparents (from Townhall.com):

Vermonter: "Sadly this is a nationwide trend. Neither of my college educated children have contact with me anymore. Yes it's painful, especially regarding my grandson. I have apologized for offending them, to no avail..."

Dmckinleyp: "Dennis, this is so timely. Things were bad enough between me and my two daughters, first after I volunteered for the Tea Party and then when I supported Trump. Then my daughter and her husband -- who was raised by Leftists working for the federal government -- had a baby. She wrote me a farewell email saying she never wanted any contact with me again. I will never see my lovely granddaughter. I am sending her presents and hoping to proceed without confrontation, but prayer is about all I have left."

GS69: "Yep. I'm in that boat. My youngest daughter -- a graduate of Evergreen State College in Washington(!) and my sister, who went to Harvard and volunteered for John Kerry years ago, stopped talking to me when I voted for Trump..."

The column was apparently forwarded to many leftists and discussed on various left-wing websites.

Even though I believe that the further left one goes, the more likely one is to be mean, I admit to having been surprised at the cruelty, even sadism, that characterizes left-wing reactions to my column.

I assumed that the dominant left-wing responses would be either that I exaggerated how widespread this problem is or that many conservative children act the same way.

My assumptions were wrong.

Nearly every one of the many left-wing responses I read -- both on right-wing and left-wing sites -- supported the left-wing children who deprive their parents of contact with them and with the grandchildren.

Here are some typical left-wing responses (from a conservative site, American Greatness):

yung god money stax: "... conservatives are whiny, mean little people and their kids don't want to listen to their racist, homophobic, sexist bs any more or let their kids be around that crap."

Dennis Prager's butthole: "This might be the dumbest article I've ever read anywhere."

Loona Chan: "I'm sorry Mr. Prager, you cannot claim after 6 years of Trump being the leader of the Republican Party that 'meanness' is not a central component of the current Republican project. Republicans now make being as offensive and disregarding of other's humanity paramount to their political rhetoric... When a parent on facebook 'jokes' about inflicting violence and even killing trans people and their children or grandchildren happen to be gay or trans, I think it is perfectly reasonable to no longer want to associate with that person..."

Austin Tucker the_dster694: "There is not an ounce of tolerance in conservative circles.

"Tolerate the intolerance is what you're asking, and we won't."

BartonsInk4: "I'm pretty sure I speak for all of the children who've cut off their parents when I say:

"1. We don't f---ing miss you. At all.

"2. We should have done this years ago."

Of the nearly 1,000 comments on American Greatness, most of them are like the ones quoted here.

Then there are left-wing websites. I'll cite two examples. The first is the feminist site, Wonkette, which headlined:

"Won't Someone Think Of All The Bigots Who Won't Be Invited To Christmas This Year?"

The article goes on to say:

"People who vote Republican right now ... (hold) views that are hurtful to actual human beings, who may or may not be their children, their grandchildren or friends thereof... it is quite easy to imagine that conservatives would freeze out any relative, parent or not, who belonged to one of the various groups they are currently mad at. We know for sure they have a tendency to throw their LGBTQIA+ children out on the streets...

"...apparently 'parents' are the only people God demands conservatives be nice to...

"...conservatives who just go around believing everything Tucker Carlson and Dennis Prager tell them are frequently very angry and thus perhaps not the world's best dinner guests at Christmas or any other time...

"It seems highly unlikely that the parents being frozen out of Christmas dinners are those who 'just happen' to vote Republican, but rather those who insist upon torturing their relatives with QAnon conspiracies..."

Then there is an atheist website called OnlySky, which in its own words, "explores the human experience from a secular point of view."  Its headline read: "Conservatives are upset their kids don't want to spend Christmas with them: Dennis Prager believes we're all obligated to spend the holidays with parents who embrace right-wing cruelty"  The author fully defends left-wing children who break off contact with their parents and prohibit the parents from seeing their grandchildren. For example:

"If you care about your health, then people who reject vaccines and spread conspiracy theories about COVID ... are literally putting lives at risk. All of that's before we get into banning books, denying election results, whitewashing history, denying science, demanding more guns in more hands in more places, and believing whatever other lies FOX hosts shove into their heads...

"Why invite people with dangerous views into your home voluntarily? That's especially true if you have kids. Parents want to protect their children, and that may mean protecting them from their grandparents' cuckoo bananas beliefs."

The author of the piece is identified as "the founder of FriendlyAtheist.com, a YouTube creator, podcast co-host, and author of multiple books about atheism."

If you have a woke child who talks to you, give him or her a hug.

 

Minnesota Medical Students Swear Oath to Fight ‘White Supremacy,’ ‘Honor All Indigenous Ways of Healing’

Medical students at the University of Minnesota pledged to “honor all indigenous ways of healing historically marginalized by Western medicine” and fight “white supremacy, colonialism, gender binary, ableism and all forms of oppression.” The move has many questioning whether the university is embracing shamanism as equally legitimate to Western science.

In a video from the white coat ceremony, which was led by associate dean for undergraduate education Dr. Robert Englander, students are seen reciting a pledge that has them “commit to uprooting the legacy and perpetuation of structural violence deeply embedded within the health care system.”

Biden's Deputies Lure "Transgender" Kids with Promises of Lawsuits

President Joe Biden’s deputies are offering to help children sue K-12 schools if they do not go along with pro-transgender policies.

“We have many federal government resources for you,” said Suzanne Goldberg, acting assistant secretary for the Department of Educations Office for Civil Rights. “If you face discrimination or harassment at school because you are transgender, you can file a complaint with the Education Department’s Office for Civil Rights.”

Officials from the Departments of Justice, Education, and Health and Human Services spoke in the video entitled “Federal Government Back-to-School Address to Transgender Students.”

Minnesota Theater Cancels Cinderella Production Because Cast Was ‘Too White’

A suburban Minneapolis theater company has cancelled a production of “Cinderella” because its cast was “too white.” Chanhassen Dinner Theatres was scheduled to stage Roger & Hammerstein’s classic play later this year before its artistic director stepped in to criticise its lack of racial diversity, twincities.com reported.  “It was 98 percent white,” Michael Brindisi, the theater’s artistic director, told the Twin Cities Pioneer Press on Wednesday after looking at the actors who had been cast. “That doesn’t work with what we’re saying we’re going to do.”

Brindisi said he considered recasting but instead decided to “scrap this and start fresh with a clean slate.”  Chanhassen Dinner Theatres has hired a diversity consultant and pledged a commitment to “identity-conscious casting and becoming a more intentionally anti-racist theater,” it said in a statement.  “After careful consideration and with our ongoing commitment to Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, we have made the decision to cancel our upcoming production,” it states.

“In addition to changing future programming, we are establishing new pre-production protocols. We will be inviting and paying [Black, Indigenous, People of Color] artists to analyze the production with our creative teams through a new Diversity, Equity and Inclusion lens.”........To Read More...

 

A Look At Howard Bauchner’s Wish List For 2021

Howard Bauchner, MD is Editor in Chief of JAMA, and posted an editorial entitled “A Medical and Scientific New Year’s Wish List.” Bauchner has a long career in academic medicine.

As regular readers of this column know, I am not a huge fan of academic medicine for a host of reasons. Many of these stem from the fact that it is owned by the government and Big Pharma, and can be counted on to promote the establishment viewpoint most of the time. As to the American Medical Association, although its public perception is as the voice of doctors, this is no longer the case. A significant portion of the AMA’s revenue stems from selling billing, coding, insurance, and other products. Needless to say, the intrusion of such items into the practice of medicine is despised by most practicing physicians—even if the younger ones never knew anything different.

The preamble to Bauchner’s piece takes an unsupported swipe at the outgoing administration’s attitude toward “science.” Apparently, inflated research budgets—or lack of results—are never to be questioned by those outside the hallowed halls of academia. He decries the heavy administrative burden that is a sad reality of today’s medicine, seemingly unaware of the AMA’s role in bureaucratizing the profession, and academic medicine’s fanboy embrace of the very electronic health records that he criticizes.

On to his ten wishes…

1. The first asks for respect for science. But, respect must be earned and not all contemporary “science” is worthy of it.
2.  An improved national response to the COVID-19 pandemic, in which he cites the usual platitudes and nothing more. Perhaps he could do something about the efforts to crush all dissent—whereby thoughtful physicians are regularly silenced.
3. A true national commitment to healthcare as a right and not a privilege. Older readers will recognize the “right versus privilege” distinction appearing in the vehicle codes of most states, emphasizing that being allowed to drive meant you needed to obey certain rules. In what fantasy world is healthcare a “privilege” in the US? One might argue that getting good care is a privilege, but what is “good care”? Perhaps Bauchner would create an AMA star chamber to rate all providers for their quality of care, while establishing a schedule of just how much healthcare per person is a “right.”
4. A national debate about a single-payer system. Oh yes, since Medicare works so well now, an even more gigantic bureaucracy would fare better. Notice he avoids the practical scheme proposed early on of the government only taking care of the hard cases, while reforming private insurance. Back in the day, the AMA was against the ideas of socialized medicine and Medicare, and they were right. How far the mighty have fallen.
5. Promoting the interoperability of electronic health records. Never mind that this was promised from the outset, and could have been achieved easily, but for the greed of the software companies and the stupidity of the government regulators. Now, he wants to take a mulligan?
6. Reducing administrative costs and eliminating barriers to healthcare access. Let’s see. Would the fulfillment of wish number four reduce or increase these costs and barriers? Has he really thought these through?
7. A national campaign to identify and treat every individual with hypertension in the US. Surprise! An actual healthcare idea. A good start would be offering a tax credit for purchasing a home blood pressure monitor, and encouraging people to use it every day.
8. Broad agreement on a limited number of high-priority national outcome measures. Population health under another name. Sounds great to the uninitiated, but discourages physicians to consider individual differences, and can lead to overtreating various chronic conditions (hypertension and diabetes, to name but two).
9. A greater appreciation that simply creating more knowledge (and science) does not necessarily improve health outcomes and may exacerbate health care inequities. While I agree with this wish, doesn’t it seem to contradict wish number eight—at least in part?
10. That the US returns to a time of civility, healthy debate, and respect for the opinions of others. However, how much respect does the AMA have for the opinions of practicing physicians, including those who don’t accept the revealed wisdom of those officials in charge of our pandemic response? Under what forum does this “healthy debate” take place in today’s cancel culture? Will he defend Dr. Michael deBoisblanc? Lift up the Rocks and See the Snakes

 As media polls continue to mislead about the state of the presidential race, there are many reasons to believe the Democrats are crazed with fear that they will be trounced more soundly this time -- as they should be, given their nominees. Here are some indicators to me: The majority of voters think they are better off now than they were four years ago; the crowds at Trump rallies are enormous and Biden can barely pull a 10-person minyan; outside of university towns there are few Biden-Harris signs up, but American flags (a safe sign when Trump signs would be stolen) are seen waving on front lawns and guns are flying off the shelves to people who have lost faith in their elected local officials to protect them. There are more, of course, but believe what the media would call your own lying eyes.

The President has been fighting idiotic policies and corruption bit by bit across both aisles, but it’s hard to find any institution that could pass a smell test. This week is no exception. We learned the Department of Defense has been forcing the troops to undergo anti-American propaganda; the VOA had peddled a video of Biden attacking the police and calling for jihad; and the Commission on Presidential Debates has ruined its reputation forever and is likely to never again be seen after this year.

Judicial Watch filed a FOIA to force the Pentagon to disclose its training manual. If you are not shocked to read what almost $20 million of your tax money has been paying for, I’d be surprised. Here are some tidbits to give you the tenor of this outrageous program which is inflammatory anti-white, anti-heterosexual, anti-American propaganda at its very core. The Enemy is Within

Watching Democrat-aligned radicals raze our cities over the past three months has felt like a thousand mini-Pearl Harbors -- only the enemy is within and the damage is in our backyards. While beleaguered Democrats dig their own graves as they prop up the riots, the ordeal has been exhausting, dispiriting, and frustrating for the rest of us.

Evidence of an alliance between Democrats and BLM couldn’t be more glaring. Pernicious riots have persisted, unchallenged, in Democrat strongholds with the imprimatur of untold Democrat mayors, city councils, and governors. The Democrat media delivers the news with an Orwellian blackout of the word “riot” as our cities immolate before our very eyes. The “it’s all Trump’s fault” blame game is relentlessly hawked by Democrats from Biden, Pelosi, and her minions in Congress, to state and local authorities. Democrat sympathizers in sports, entertainment, and corporate America kneel and capitulate to BLM demands with alarming ease, accede to cancellations, and willingly attend and promote mandatory re-education programs on white privilege. Most glaring is the DNC convention love fest with BLM and the shameless promotion of BLM at the DNC website............

Thus are whites admonished to give up their jobs (see here, and here) and "transfer [their] power to black people” (as white husband of Serena Williams and Reddit co-founder Alexis Ohanian did when he resigned from the Reddit Board, as have other corporate luminaries).  They will no longer voice black characters and are advised to relinquish their homes to blacks.

White restaurant patrons must allow black demonstrators to drink their beer. White citizens exercising their right to self-defense face criminal indictments, as happened to the McCloskeys in St. Louis and Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha.  They must kneel in solidarity with BLM even if that goes against their sense of patriotism, as happened with Drew Brees.  They must attend mandatory, segregated training to “undo whiteness.”  (Can you imagine if homosexuals were forced to attend “undoing homosexuality” training?)  And, white Sacramento Kings announcer Grant Napear found out stating “all lives matter” was grounds for dismissal from his job of 32 years................ Goodyear Adopts Wokeness and My Take on It!

Sarah Taylor On August 19, 2020 published this piece,  UPDATED: Goodyear employees say company's new 'zero-tolerance' policy bans 'Blue Lives Matter' and MAGA gear, saying:

A concerning training tool made its way from Goodyear's corporate headquarters in Akron, Ohio, to Topeka, Kansas, where some residents are furiously working to defund the police.   The training tool? A slide unveiling the company's new "zero-tolerance" policy against "Blue Lives Matter," MAGA Attire, and more.

What are the details?

A photo of the training slide in question has gained traction, and ended up at WIBW-TV in Topeka. The outlet reported that Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company has a serious problem with supporting the police — or even supporting the president. Acceptable notions, according to the company, include Black Lives Matter (BLM) and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride (LGBT). Unacceptable notions, however, include Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA Attire, and Political Affiliated Slogans or Material.

Goodyear claims, "that the visual was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate, nor was it part of a diversity training class."  Well, someone in a high corporate position authorized this.  So who has been fired?  If the opposite of this had occurred the media and politicians would have demanded someone's head.  And Goodyear would have delivered it. 

Andrea Widburg  takes a dim view of Goodyear's protestations, noting in her piece, "Did Goodyear say that BLM is okay in the workplace, but MAGA is not?, saying:

Goodyear scrambled to create space between itself and the slide. The following sounds like a denial but, if you read it carefully, it’s not:.....

She goes on to call their statement weasel language saying:

The weasel language begins with the paragraph claiming that “the visual in question was not created or distributed by Goodyear corporate….” (Emphasis added.) This means that, while the slide wasn’t from the home office, it is a Goodyear slide. The same paragraph then continues to describe Goodyear’s zero-tolerance policy...

The real problem according to Widburg?

Corporations are woke because, for the most part, management no longer comes from within. Instead, management consists of college grads. These graduates spent four years marinated in leftism, and they bring that leftism to corporations that then implement leftist policies that offend the bulk of the buying public. Go woke, go broke.

NYT Union's Latest Diversity Suggestion Is Beyond Eye Roll-Worthy

Biden and UN Secretary General Call for New Left Wing Social Contracts

United Nations bureaucrats won’t say so publicly, but they must be salivating at the prospect of a Biden presidency

“Build Back Better” was used originally by the UN to describe the disaster recovery, rehabilitation and reconstruction concept set forth in the Sendai Framework for Disaster Risk Reduction 2015-2030. This framework was adopted at the Third UN World Conference in Sendai, Japan, on March 18, 2015. But now, following the onset of the coronavirus pandemic, “Build Back Better” has become the UN’s clarion call for a new social contract and new global deal.

Biden, an avowed globalist, is also calling for a new social contract. In his commencement speech to Columbia Law School’s Class of 2020, Biden declared that COVID-19 should be seen “as a force majeure that compels us to rewrite the social contract that’s been scrambled by nature’s fury and human failures.” The close parallels between Biden’s vision of what such a new social contract would look like and the UN’s vision are noteworthy.

Starting with the United Nations, the central themes of the UN’s concept of a “new social contract” are a rapid transition to what it calls an inclusive green economy and an end to inequality worldwide.

UN Secretary General Guterres spelled this out in detail in his Nelson Mandela Lecture entitled “Tackling the Inequality Pandemic: A New Social Contract for a New Era.” Guterres said that the coronavirus pandemic “has laid bare risks we have ignored for decades: inadequate health systems; gaps in social protection; structural inequalities; environmental degradation; the climate crisis.”

Guterres added that “when building back better, we build back with inclusiveness and with sustainability, addressing the problems of inequality and addressing the problems of climate change.” He called “not only for climate action, but climate justice.” On other occasions the Secretary General has warned of what he described as the “world’s climate emergency.”.............

The Soviet Plan for ‘Ideological Subversion’ Describes Our Current Turmoil

A good friend of mine who fled the Soviet Union many years ago recently sent me a most chilling interview on You Tube. Under ten minutes long, it needs to be seen by every American who wonders why the country is unraveling before our very eyes. The interview features Yuri Bezmenov, a former KGB spy and state media propagandist who defected to Canada in 1970. Bezmenov cogently explains how "ideological subversion"is an essential method used by communists to undermine and destabilize Western countries.  His explanation crystallizes so much of what has happened in America in the last 40 years.

The recent attacks on historical monuments by the “woke” progressive Philistines, and the New York Times’s “1619 Project” aimed at rewriting America’s history as a racist plot, are just the latest in the left’s long assault on American history. Long before this current iconoclasm, Christopher Columbus has been the arch-villain in the left’s Orwellian revision of American history as peculiarly and irredeemably evil from its birth.

Attacking and demonizing American history predates the current frenzy of revisionism and virtue-signaling, for it is one of the progressive left’s favorite tools for undermining the patriotic solidarity that binds us together and undergirds our political order.

This long assault on America’s founding and exceptionalism has been a weapon of the left for weakening the US’s most successful and powerful enemy. Frankly, such unfair, untrue, and unfortunate “missionary” activity by progressives is demeaning to blacks and distorts the historical tragedy perpetrated by depraved white slavers, degenerate black chiefs, and desperate settlers in America and other areas of the world. Black slavery is a scandal, a scab, and a scar on the face of America and we must never permit it to be mistaken, muddled, or mitigated; however, with the fanatics in the media, a balanced narrative is unlikely to happen.

Honest white people are willing to say, “Okay, I’m embarrassed that white people were involved in such an obscene practice; but no living American slaves exist, nor do any slaveowners, nor do any of the ship captains. So can we tone it down a few notches?” But the whiners, like all fanatics who only have one message, refuse to stop talking about it. Like a bulldog with a tasty, meaty bone, they won’t let go............ If the fanatic slavery whiners really do care about slavery, they can do something about the overt slavery in Mali, where at least 200,000 people are held in direct servitude. In March 2002, French television channel TF1 reported how about 15,000 children were abducted from Mali and sold as slaves to work the cotton plantations in the Ivory Coast.  ...................

Greta Thunberg: Human Shield for Climate Profiteers

I must disagree up front with the overt criticism and vilification of Greta Thunberg, a 16-year-old actress (and daughter and granddaughter of actors) who looks as though she being manipulated — and fed her lines — by adult climate profiteers and alarmists who know full well what they are doing.

I watched her speech to the United Nations; her facial expressions and emotions come across as rehearsed and fabricated, much like those of an inexperienced thespian trying to play a difficult role. Even experienced actors who lack special training cannot, for example, portray convincing villains because it is clear that their gestures and emotions are rehearsed as opposed to genuine.

A skilled actor who knows the story can often improvise a performance for a specific scene even if he has not been given a script for it. "Greta Thunberg without a script to read from" suggests, on the other hand, that she does not really know the story and cannot play her role without a script. She punts at the end by saying, "I think you should give some questions to the others as well."
