The ACLU Pushes Michigan to Abort Parental Rights

Parental consent is needed for piercing body parts. Why not for abortion?

The ACLU (American Civil Liberties Union) has, in all its massive wisdom, declared that parental consent for abortion is harmful. The organization released a report this week on the Michigan state law passed in 1991, which demands permission from a parent before the procedure can be conducted on a minor.

The survey solicited opinions from attorneys who have fought against parental consent, abortion providers, and primary care physicians who provide health care to reproductive-age minors:

“Michigan’s parental consent law violates a range of human rights, including young people’s rights to health, to privacy and confidentiality of health services and information, to nondiscrimination and equality, to decide the number and spacing of children, and to be free from cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment.”

The report also stated that 700 minors in Michigan receive abortions annually, and 100 of those children are forced to get what is called a bypass to parental consent from a judge.

“I think a lot of people don’t question this law, because they think that it makes perfect sense — that a parent would want to be involved in their child’s abortion decision,” claimed Jo Becker, advocacy director of the children’s rights division at Human Rights Watch.

The 37-page document pointed out the other side of the equation explained by Becker. As one attorney said, some clients had a complicated history and relationship with guardian or parent and feared retribution. Another underage client had experienced a parent “beating them up, CPS [Michigan’s Children’s Protective Services] was involved, and they were afraid their parents would go off on them again if they found out they were pregnant.”

Then, there is the subjectiveness of judges and a continued argument from abortion advocates. “The irony of this law is that young people have to prove to a judge that they’re mature enough to make an abortion decision,” claimed Becker. “And yet the law doesn’t test a young person’s maturity to bear a child and raise a child.”

ACLU Stand Down

Right to Life of Michigan’s legislative director, Genevieve Marnon, calls the prospect of eliminating consent “wildly out of step” with most Michiganders’ family values. “Children under 18 are required to be in the care of adults for a reason – this advocacy piece throws common sense to the wind to instead drive a political agenda.”

The ACLU was once integral to the fight for civil rights. Roger Baldwin and a few friends created the organization in 1920 around the need to protect the new 19th Amendment, allowing women to vote. An effective group over the decades in safeguarding constitutional rights has seemingly been overtaken by special interest groups and relegated to seeking new and outlandish ways to shock the American public on illogical cases and causes.

Denying parental rights is at the top of that list. But why start with abortion? Parental consent is needed for piercing body parts, applying for a license permit, and opening a bank account. But non-emergency surgery on a minor?

“The organizations who published this advocacy piece and their political allies believe they know what is best for children, not parents. They are actively seeking to remove parents from one of the most important decisions a minor girl could face, one that everyone acknowledges will have a lifelong impact regardless of the decision,” Marnon said.

Whose Children? Our Children

“We have to break through our kind of private idea that kids belong to their parents,” MSNBC’s Melissa Harris-Perry argued. “Educators love their students and know better than anyone what they need to learn and to thrive,” the NEA asserted. “Parents claim they have the right to shape their kids’ school curriculum. They don’t,” a Washington Post op-ed bluntly asserted.

A Minnesota bill now proposes to take children away from parents who don’t agree to have them sexually mutilated. Similar bills are working their way through other states.

Behind all the identity politics, the graphic sexual materials in classrooms, the covert gender swaps by public school administrators, critical race theory, drag shows and so much else is a showdown between the family and the state. It’s not a new confrontation, but teenage puberty blockers, suicides, sex and racism manuals have made the stakes painfully clear.

At the heart of sexual identity politics is an obsession with dismantling the family. The embrace of transgenderism by the state is no accident of politics. The family, like race and religion, is the chief rival to the state. The state set out to neuter its rivals through identity politics, using race, religion and finally sexuality to define new identities and use them to make the state supreme.

The great struggle between human beings and the state was always going to come down to the question of whether the system or the family would be the central unit of social organization. In a little over a century a question that once seemed as basic to the understanding of humanity as the differences between men and women was muddied. The government took charge of education and demanded oversight of all the nation’s children because the indoctrination of the citizenry was a vital national interest. But so was the existence or non-existence of the children.

The state did not just control what children learned, but whether they lived. It asserts the right to kill unborn children in the womb, and in Canada and Europe to kill them through euthanasia if they are ill or depressed. From eugenics to abortion, the state determined that it had a vital interest in not only how children were raised, but that they lived or died at its command.

Democracy had come to mean not a town meeting and a free press, but the state determining its own future constituencies, rigging elections a generation ahead by controlling demographics, education and all the elements of the lives of children. By controlling children, the state had become a next generation tyranny in the guise of a multi-generational democracy. The Left always looked to the “future” and the “children” because they had already brought it into being.

The new social order remade parents into glorified employees of the state. Birthing and rearing children became labor on behalf of the state subsidized by its institutions with the understanding that at the opportune moment, the state would tell the parents to step back while it takes charge.

When schools secretly change the gender of children or push sexual and racist materials on them, the state is taking charge. And administrations and unions indignantly tell parents to keep quiet and not interfere. Parents, like most taxpayers, under the impression that the system answers to them or at least that it ought to answer to them were confused and enraged.

The shift from the single-income family to the two-income family with preschool encompassing children as young as 18 months and then to an ever more intensive chain of state educational institutions happened gradually enough that most parents thought it was their own idea. But what the Soviet Union and Communist China had failed to accomplish, happened in America.

Children, from even before they could talk, were being raised either directly by the state or by the institutions that it closely regulated. The unintended consequences of that, emotional fragility, a lack of healthy models for interpersonal relationships, and an obsession with ‘snitching’ on others that persists well into adulthood, were only the collateral damage.

The campus safe space and the ghetto are where the experimental testing of the children has been conducted, leaving behind radioactive social wastelands fit only for DEI seminars.

Such children raised by the state become adults who want the state to go on raising them. When they’re hungry, the state feeds them, when they’re cold, the state shelters them and when they’re unhappy, the state tells them whom to blame. When their relationships fall apart or when their feelings are hurt, they turn to the state to soothe them with a dose of revenge.

The state was field testing its transitional model for replacing the family with its communal institutions. This dream, at least two centuries old in western socialist circles, is being realized not only by the primary products of those experiments, single mothers raising children from different fathers on government subsidies, but by much of the next generation.

Teachers and administrators in those institutions are pushing sexual identity politics on children as young as two years old not just because it’s a current leftist fad, but because eliminating the family wipes out any competition. The gradual transitional elimination of the family is rapidly picking up speed. Now the plan is to destroy the family by destroying the children.

Children have an inherent need for a family. Totalitarian regimes have fought the family in the past by turning children against their parents. And yet even in the face of the monstrous propaganda of the USSR, Communist China and Nazi Germany, the family has persisted. The Left has come to realize that the only way to destroy the family is to destroy the children.

The familiar vision of socialism is man as a tabula rasa, a blank state, not just economically or socially as under Communism, but completely empty, ready to fit any mold. He can be a man or a woman, or any hybridized combination of new invented sexes to be determined by the state.

Instead of the people deciding what the state ought to be like, the state will determine what the people will be like down to the smaller granular detail. A democracy of people who have been trained to reshape themselves completely in response to propaganda and their instructors are capable of becoming the willing pawns and puppets of any state no matter how terrible.

Or so it would seem.

This totalitarian utopia requires the extinction of the family as its ultimate precondition and final triumph. That is what is really at stake in this struggle. And it is best summed up by a single question. “Whose children? Our children or the children of the state?”

Tell AOC Parental Rights Are Not Fascism

Wikipedia defines Fascism: a far-right, authoritarian, ultra-nationalist political ideology and movement, characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived good of the nation and race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

But, then we have Alexandria Ocasio Cortez, better known as AOC, which I would argue is short for a trampish heathen who personifies dumb as a roll of bathroom tissue and is worthy of the same purpose.  Cortez has “announced that parental rights are fascism in America.”

It’s clear to me that Cortez really means “parental rights” left in the hands of Christian families, treated as natural rights that undermine the ability of her type of government to brainwash our children and inculcate them with the most reprobate and insane ideals of madness imaginable.

I fully realize the kind of woman Cortez is and thus also the cognitive deficiencies she embarrassingly suffers from.  She’s the boorish deuteragonist to the other pathetic excuses for so-called female leadership comprising the Democrat party.

It isn’t government’s right to tell parents how to raise their children.  Especially Christian parents.  Parents have the God-given right to determine what their children are taught and the God-given right from the child’s to structure the Godly standard of morality.  My bible instructs parents, not government, to train up children according to Godly principles.

It takes only a brief glance to see what government participation in the life of young people has done to Cortez and her troupe of whorish, child-killers, who are promoting mental insanity through inculcation of debaucherous sexual fantasies they promote as real.

How is it fascist for parents to teach their children the Word of God?  How is it fascist for parents to teach their children that all men are created equal and endowed by their Creator with certain inalienable rights, which include life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?  How is it fascist for parents to teach their children moral standards that renounce sexual sin, teaching them that God created male and female, i.e., he and she, not he-he and she-she?  How is it fascism for parents to teach their children to love America and what America stood for until the demonic Cortez types usurped office?  

It isn’t fascism for parents to teach their children that the industrialized extermination of children is murder, not women’s healthcare, albeit those like Cortez seem to practice abortion as birth control.  Maybe, we should insist Cortez tell us how many babies she has had killed.  It’s my opinion that pagan heathens who promote baby-killing do so because it’s of practical benefit to them, including her potentially being financially invested in child-killing centers.  There’s nothing fascist about teaching our children, a sovereign nation has the right to determine legal standards for people to emigrate and/or immigrate here.  Just as Cortez can determine who’s permitted into her office.

It’s clear that Cortez is either every bit a stupid as she appears or she’s a pernicious liar and deceiver; both of which are morally opprobrious behavior traits consistent with her character.

However, we do well to remember her seeming stupidity is an attempt to draw us into a debate we should never have.  She’s a Marxist fool and her words are of the devil.  I don’t argue with her; I put on the whole armour of God?  In his acclaimed book: Who Was Karl Marx?, my good friend and colleague James Simpson wrote: There are four fundamental concepts you need to understand [with respect to who and what Marxism is about]

1. “The issue is never the issue.  The issue is always the Revolution”
2. This is an asymmetric strategy of military conquest.
3. There is a method to the madness.
4. At its heart, this evil agenda is Satanic.

To which I add.  Every single Marxist especially those holding political office and positions of entrenched authority are liars.  Cortez and her cabal of calumniators are vicious liars.  Them calling us liars is their way of attempting to bully us into silence in the court of public opinion controlled by media agitprop.

I refuse to engage on their level.  They are of their father the devil…for he is a liar, and the father of it.  Ergo, what can we possibly expect them to be but liars also?

It is clearer every day which party is radical, extreme, dangerous, and flat out crazy

It is sad that only 74% of registered voters believe that parents have more rights to choose major, life-changing medical surgery than school officials. Here is the poll:

Poll: Majority of Voters Believe Schools Should Inform Parents of Students’ Gender Transitions - The poll released by parental rights organization Parents Defending Education found that 74 percent of registered voters believe that schools should not help students change their gender identity without parental consent. In the poll, 71 percent of registered voters oppose letting schools withhold information about a child’s gender identity from their parents. This includes 76 percent of black voters, 71 percent of white voters, 66 percent of Hispanic voters, and 59 percent of Asian voters and 85 percent of Republicans, 74 percent of Independent voters, and 59 percent of Democrats.

Who are the 26% of voters who believe the parents have no right to know?

Probably the same sliver of people who believe that biological males should compete with girls in sports and that people with penises should be able to invade girls' privacy in public restrooms and expose themselves in their locker rooms.............Parents are required to sign permission slips in order for children to go on field trips.

1. They are required to sign waivers to allow children to play sports. 
2. School officials need permission to give students an aspirin. 
3. The age of consent in most states for sex is sixteen
4. People need to be 21 to smoke, and 18 to vote.
5. People can't sign contracts or get married in most states until they are 18. 
6. They can't drive until they are 16.

It appears that the only time that children can make a major medical decision without the parents' permission is when a young girl wants an abortion or when children as young as grade school decide, with egging guidance from school employees, that they want to be castrated, have their breasts cut off and to take dangerous puberty blockers to completely alter their bodily development.............To Read More....

Utah kids told to eat bugs to save the earth and get class credit

What is it about Utah and school lunches?  Back in 2014, one of their districts famously threw out children's school lunches in front of their faces based on their parents' unpaid lunch debt, wasting tons of food and humiliating the children.  Nine years later, they're telling the kids to eat bugs. To save the earth or whatever, and get extra class credit, though let's face it, the humiliation is the same...........Uncomfortable? How about repulsed?...........More disturbing still, kids were told to eat the bug and then write an essay on why bug-eating is good for the planet.............The girl's mother rightly pointed out that the teacher's inability to brook dissident signaled indoctrination over education, the wokester agenda in action..........

Greens have unsuccessfully tried to sell us on all sorts of repulsive things to put into our bodies -- from various versions of soylent green, to "stewmaking" burials, to human compost burials, to recycling urine into drinking water to save the earth, to eating bugs. It's one disgusting thing after another, which these days even includes attempting to coax people into taking public transit. Not too long ago, a Utah official tried to encourage people to eat wild toads to save the environment. Major Victory for School Choice in Iowa

Since I’ve repeatedly written (and spoken) about the momentum for school choice, I’m naturally a big fan of this video from John Stossel.

It’s not just libertarian-oriented people who recognize that school choice is gaining ground across the country.

The union bosses at the National Education Association have bitterly complained that their under-performing monopoly is being threatened as parents get more options.

Given the malignant role of teacher unions (especially with regards to disadvantaged students), that definitely warms my heart.

Now we have more good news to share – assuming you are a good person who puts the interests of kids above those of union bosses (unlike someone who happens to reside at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue).

After getting comprehensive statewide school choice in West Virginia in 2021 and Arizona in 2022, the Hawkeye State has now enacted its own version.

Here are some of the details of this remarkable development from Iowa, as reported by Jeremiah Poff for the Washington Examiner.

Gov. Kim Reynolds (R-IA) signed new legislation Tuesday…to establish a universal school choice program. Hours after the state legislature approved the Students First Act to establish a statewide education savings account program for all K-12 students , Reynolds, surrounded by children, triumphantly affixed her signature to the legislation… The new program will provide students with more than $7,000 in annual funds through an education savings account that can be used to cover all sorts of education-related expenses, including private school tuition and private tutoring. …Reynolds said in a statement after the legislature approved the bill. “Parents, not the government, can now choose the education setting best suited to their child regardless of their income or zip code. With this bill, Iowa has affirmed that educational freedom belongs to all, not just those who can afford it.”

This is good news. It means better results for students at lower cost for taxpayers.

By the way, here’s another excerpt that is worth sharing.

The Governor not only is a supporter of school choice, she took the very unusual step of going after Republican state legislators who were siding with union bosses rather than families.

Reynolds, a Republican, had sought to enact a school choice program in the state’s previous legislative session but encountered opposition from members of her own party that doomed the bill. She later took the unusual step of endorsing primary opponents for several of her party’s own incumbents who opposed school choice.

She didn’t just endorse primary opponents.

Many of those candidates actually defeated incumbent Republicans who opposed choice.

And that’s been happening in other states as well, which arguably can be considered the best political news of 2022.

I’ll close with an upbeat prediction that Iowa won’t be the only state to adopt comprehensive school choice this year. So I fully expect big, positive changes in next year’s version of this map.

And I’ll also predict the list of school choice hypocrites will expand.

P.S. Depending on how you rank the importance of different issues, what’s been happening with school choice may be only the second-most important development at the state level in recent years.

Parental Rights vs. "Don't Say Gay"

Florida’s Parental Rights Law has been made controversial by the Progressive Zeitgeist, claiming that the its bill in which teachers can’t say “gay” to children in grades Kindergarten through 3rd.  The words “don’t say gay” do not appear in the law at all, but rather that teachers can’t indoctrinate young children into the gay culture or talk about things that are considered not age appropriate, which certain parents along with Florida Governor Ron DeSantis agree with.

Yet the hard progressive left has decided to take sides, and the chose to go with the militant LGBTQ+ Jihad who as a group have been licking their lips, as they have acquired so much power over the years.  They have been recognized as a minority, and thanks to SCOTUS they have a right to have the kind of sex that they do and later on, the right to marriage; but it will never be enough.  Now they are pushing to mainstreami transsexualism/transgenderism, and they want to be able to teach such issues if not groom certain children into the lifestyle with and without the approval of the parents.  The children who enter the LGBTQ+’s web will either come out one of two different ways.

1.  They will be the foot soldiers and visual aids for the LGBTQ+ cause in the future.  They will eat, drink, live, and breath the agenda; and more likely than not the overall Progressive Marxist agenda in America..............To Read More...

What's Really Going on in Our Schools

There's been a great deal of outrage expressed over Florida's law on sex education for very young children.  Outrage from the left because it has passed, and outrage from the parents because this needed to be passed.  But I'm a bit amazed. Why? 

Because it isn't like it just started this year. Below are a series of recent articles dealing will this, but below them I've linked some articles from my files going back to 2013 and 2014.  And no one noticed this has been going on for years.  Is it possible the media has been hiding it?  Remarkable!

Well, the rock has been turned over and parents are seeing what was under that rock, and they're just a bit upset.  Teachers are upset also, because these parents actually believe these children belong to them and not the education system.   Imagine that.  It would appear these teachers, teacher's unions and boards of education keep forgetting who are paying the bills, who the children belong to and who really is in charge.  

They seem to think they're unaccountable autocrats rather then employees.  Well, the parents think if they're paying the bills, they're the employer.  Imagine that.  And when the employer is told to shove it by the employee, things can and will get testy.   This cartoon really sets to tone for the next election. 

and some serious changes need to be made, starting with the elimination for the Department of Education, followed by the elimination of Public Employee Unions, especially teacher's unions.

   

At a Fairbanks school board meeting, you could feel the leftist panic - April 26, 202  By Andrea Widburg -  When I think of Alaska, I tend to think of a sturdy conservative state that elected Sarah Palin as its governor.  Then I remember that Alaskans keep sending Lisa Murkowski to the Senate.  Clearly, there's a leftist strain in that state.  It was clearly revealed at a Fairbanks School Board meeting regarding a proposed revision to school policies that would have required teachers to wade into controversial, polarizing subjects.  That's an interesting discussion and one school boards should have.  What I found noteworthy, though, was the desperate speed with which leftist board members moved to silence a conservative board member who peacefully began to read from a book readily found on the high school library shelves............

More Secret Gender Transition Closets Discovered in Public Schools Epoch Times, by Alice Giordano - They started in colleges, but trans closets—rooms stocked with transgender clothes and accessories for students to change into after arriving at school and back out of before going home—are being discovered in public schools, with some indication that they’re being kept secret from parents. In a recent TikTok video, a California teacher implies that the trans closet he started at the high school where he works is meant to be kept from parents. “The goal of the transition closet is for our students to wear the clothes that their parents approve of, come to school, and then swap out into the clothes that fit who they truly are,” the teacher said.........

"This notion – we've been very lucky in America, and we in some ways live in a bubble for a long time," she said. "This is propaganda. This is misinformation. This is the way in which wars start. LGBTQ Activist Group Urges American Students to ‘Take Vow of Silence’ in Schools to Address ‘Anti-LGBTQ Behavior’ - April 22, 2022 Susan Berry, PhD -  The Gay, Lesbian, and Straight Education Network (GLSEN) rallied U.S. students to participate in their annual Day of Silence Friday, during which the students are supposed to vow to remain silent in school, apparently to draw attention to claims of “anti-LGBTQ behavior.” According to GLSEN, which was founded by gay activist and former Obama administration “Safe Schools Czar” Kevin Jennings, the “Day of Silence” is “a national student-led demonstration where LGBTQ students and allies  all around the country—and the world—take a vow of silence to protest the harmful effects of harassment and discrimination of LGBTQ people in schools.”..........

‘Gay’ Lawmaker to Christians: ‘We’ll Take Your Children’ - August 25, 2013 by J. Matt Barber - Few people doubt that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie hopes to become president in 2016. Unfortunately for him, he may have just signed away any chance of that. Last week, Christie signed A3371, a draconian piece of legislation that bars licensed therapists from helping children overcome unwanted same-sex attractions, behavior or identity. This law bans help for minors even when – as is so often the case – those same-sex attractions arise from childhood sexual abuse by the likes of a Jerry Sandusky.

 

This law will prohibit minors and their parents from receiving counseling they desire and will force counselors to violate ethical codes because they will not be able to help clients reach their own counseling goals. This law would enslave children – whether abused or not – to a subjectively determined sexual identity that they reject....[beyond] violating their first amendment rights......The governor is one of three things. He is either: 1) ill-informed, 2) politically motivated or 3) stupid.

Verrilli Jr., speaks at Georgetown Law School.  The Obama Justice Department is arguing in the United States Supreme Court that children do not need mothers.   The Justice Department’s argument on the superfluity of motherhood is presented in a brief the Obama administration filed in the case of Hollingsworth v. Perry, which challenges the constitutionality of Proposition 8, the California ballot initiative that amended California’s Constitution to say that marriage involves only one man and one woman.
The Justice Department presented its conclusions about parenthood in rebutting an argument made by proponents of Proposition 8 that the traditional two-parent family, led by both a mother and a father, was the ideal place, determined even by nature itself, to raise a child.   The Obama administration argues this is not true. It argues that children need neither a father nor a mother and that having two fathers or two mothers is just as good as having one of each….

 
Yale mulls paying for students' sex change operations - By Joshua Rhett Miller Published February 28, 2013 - Yale is considering joining Brown, Penn, Harvard and Cornell universities by picking up the tab for Ivy League students who want sex changes.  The New Haven, Conn., school is still reviewing policies regarding the procedure for its 5,322 undergraduate students and its 6,526 graduate and professional students, but has already extended gender reassignment coverage to employees.  "The benefit is offered to faculty and staff, and is being considered for students," Yale spokeswoman Karen Peart told FoxNews.com in an email. "Cost would vary depending on treatment."  Gabriel Murchison, a member of Yale’s Resource Alliance for Gender Equity (RAGE), told FoxNews.com gender reassignment surgery is just one of several areas where student health care should be on par with that offered to faculty, staff and their dependents....

 
Irate parents pummel gov't official over porn in class - By WND Staff October 13, 2019 - 'If it's not suitable to talk about with adults, how can it possibly be suitable to talk about in schools?' Parents infuriated over school-mandated lessons that "promote pornography" have confronted the education secretary in the United Kingdom.  It happened at a recent National Parent Forum of Scotland event.  The Christian Institute explained that one of the parents faced off with Education Secretary John Swinney over the curriculum. "When [a] father gave a graphic description of what he claimed was being taught, he was asked by the chair of the event to tone down his language. He responded by saying if it's not suitable to talk about with adults, how can it possibly be suitable to talk about in schools?'" the institute said. Ohio GOP Introduces Bill to Ban 'Gender Identity' Agenda in Elementary Schools K-3

Glenn Youngkin Signs Bill Requiring Parents’ Notification of Sexually Explicit Curriculum

On Friday, Virginia Governor Glenn Youngkin (R-Va.) signed a bill into law that requires all school districts to notify the parents of students if any sexually explicit material is to be taught in the classroom.

The Daily Caller reports that the bill was authored by State Senator Siobhan Dunnavant (R-Va.), which gives the state’s Department of Education the authority to develop and enforce the policy. All local school boards in the state must enact the policy by January 1st, 2023.

Under the new law, parents will be allowed to “review instructional materials that includes sexually explicit content,” and may be allowed to instead show “non-explicit instructional material” to their children as an alternative if they decline...........To Read More.....

 

How the Schools Got Queered

Years back, when I lived in Northern California, a huge controversy erupted in a town called Novato about implementing a pro-LGB curriculum and movie called That's a Family in the elementary schools.  Parents were outraged, including liberals, and it made national news for months. California was the epicenter for gay education/indoctrination in the schools, and I was fully enmeshed in these issues, with kids in public and private schools in Marin and San Francisco.  The school my kids attended at the time was grappling with the same That's a Family brouhaha.  I led the opposition, with tremendous support from mostly liberal parents, including one LGB parent, who said: "At this age, all my child wants to do is play, be with friends, and is not thinking about these issues.  It's just not age-appropriate."  How did we get from there to Disney opposing Gov. Race, the Left and Fatherhood in Black America

The Natural function of the human mind is to see patterns. I find often times I see them more easily and more quickly than others.  Now that's a good thing, isn't it?  Yes and no.  Fifty years ago I worked at a newspaper and it seemed to me the news was being controlled by a handful of people in the world because the same news, about the same subjects, kept being touted everywhere, and the AP the UPI had a major influence on that news.  

However, just about everything fascinates me and I read more than the local newspaper, so I knew there was a whole lot more going on in the world than what was typically being reported in newspapers, magazines or on television.  As a result, I could see the pattern and I said that to others.  Big mistake. 

When and if you see things farther, deeper and wider than everyone else, you might want to keep it to yourself, or you become the outsider.   It's impossible to explain anything to people who are so ignorant that they don’t even know they're ignorant. Worse yet, they think they have all the answers when they don’t even know the questions. In order to teach them the truth you have to first teach them the lie. Since they like being ignorant you're spitting into the wind. Of course they must defend their level of ignorance by attacking you personally, which compounded their ignorance with stupidity.  Furthermore, if there's a crowd they will resort to consensus stupidity and do it with great glee.

Not only have I become comfortable with being on the dirty end of the stick, I've learned to like it, and I will admit, that's not normal, since "normal" people want acceptance.  Unfortunately, that may require the "normals" to abandon their friends and their values.  And make no mistake, heterodoxy isn't for the faint of heart.  

As the years went by I saw that pattern of selective news more and more clearly, and I would often say everything you see on the news, everything you read in the newspapers is either a lie of commission or a lie of omission.  Overstated I will admit, but my intention was to make everyone think, as overall, that was true.   Now, everyone knows all the news they've been fed has been a lie, and is controlled by those with an agenda with narratives they demand everyone to accept, and will anyone who dares oppose them, attacking their character!  

The satisfaction is seeing all you said for years come into being, and that's the punishment.   I would rather have been wrong. 

In my early 30's I began to grasp the number one problem in black America was single parent families.  I doesn't matter what ethnic group it may be, single parent families destroy the foundational structure that makes a society work.  

No group can lift itself up by their boot straps without the interlinking mutually beneficial support of a community committed to family values.  The values that were the foundational moral values of the Judaic/Christian ethic that made America great, the only stable moral foundation that's ever existed.  The values that bound society.  The values America is abandoning.   

These values have been hated by the left forever, since leftism is foundationally atheistic.  Values the left has been working to destroy starting with the French Revolution and imported to America in the late 19th century.  By the middle of the 20th century, they were making huge strides in destroying those values, and it started with public education, and a corrupt media that reinforced the leftist dogma being foisted on the nation.   

Their goal was to make sure the "apple fell as far away from the tree as possible".  The government, not the children's parents nor the churches, but the government would be the ultimate moral arbitrator and all would obey, or else.

Well, many like Thomas Sowell saw this coming long ago, and now society has realized - it's here!

On April 11, 2022 Paul Bois posted this piece,  ‘That Fraud’: Leftists Rage at Tony Dungy for Standing with Gov. Ron DeSantis on Fatherhood Bill saying:

Left-wing Twitter went ballistic on Monday over coach Tony Dungy standing with Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signing a pro-fatherhood bill into law.........“This is going to be tremendous and such a good help to fathers in Florida,” Dungy said. “This bill is so important. I want to thank all of the men and women that have been behind this. It is going to allow groups like All Pro Dad and people like those here today to do great things for our fathers here in Florida.”

What was the reaction from the left:

Leftists on Twitter, however, believed that Tony Dungy had shown his true colors by standing alongside DeSantis, who they described as a homophobic bigot due to his anti-child grooming bill that will prevent school teachers from discussing sexuality with kindergarteners.

Others referred to him as a fascist prop, which means of course they have no clue what is the definition of fascism.  Not only are they historically ignorant, they've embraced Thomas Sowell's observation about language and definitions, and are not only ignorant, but stupid, and I think they're vile, like Keith Olbermann who called Dungy a "fascist political prop", and went on to attack him personally.  There's a reason has been fired by just about everyone he's worked for.  But he wasn't alone with his pathetic views. 

Here's the true story:

"I had a dad who was around me all the time and supported me, and I thought everyone was like that," he said. "I got to my job at the National Football League, started interviewing our players, and I began to understand not everyone had that same blessing that I had."..........

Dungy recalled that during his first year as coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers he visited a prison with a pastor and was surprised to see so many "19- and 20- and 21-year-old kids who looked like my boys." He asked the pastor how those boys got there.

"And he told me it’s not socioeconomic. It's not racial. It’s not education. It's none of that. Ninety-five percent of these boys did not grow up with their dad. And that hit me,"..........

His thoughts also echo the thoughts and views of Former Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke, in an interview with WND in 2020, said, It started with my dad.

"Black leaders such as Al Sharpton are largely ignoring the devastating impact of the $22 trillion spent on welfare and poverty programs over the past 50 years that have had the unintended effect of fostering fatherless homes, with 75% of blacks born out of wedlock."...."The first thing we need to do is a self-examination of our black community. Leave white men out of this for now..... "Look at the cultural dysfunction, the growing underclass, the ineffective parenting, the fatherless homes, the school failure, dropping out of school early, joining gangs, drug and alcohol abuse, teenagers having kids."

"Clarke acknowledged he was "blessed" to grow up in a two-parent household........."My dad instilled a sense of discipline in me, and he taught me to respect authority, and it started with him,"... "He was my first authority figure."..........."They carried my dad's authority when I was in the outside world," ... "They knew, 'All we've got to do if we're having problems is get a hold of Mr. Clarke.'"...........

One thing Obama did get right, and should be commended for it when he said he had "the chance to be the kind of father he never had." And as far as I can tell, he has been a good husband and father.  What I can't understand is why he then is so supportive of all the narratives and initiatives that are so antithetical to that view and destructive to family stability? 

"Dungy has responded to his critics on Twitter, but without apology. He pointed out that President Obama "said the same things almost verbatim" 14 years ago."I'm assuming people were outraged at him too," Dungy said. The former coach concluded: "I am serving the Lord, so I’ll keep supporting dads and families."  "We know the statistics – that children who grow up without a father are five times more likely to live in poverty and commit crime; nine times more likely to drop out of schools and 20 times more likely to end up in prison," Obama said. "They are more likely to have behavioral problems, or run away from home or become teenage parents themselves. And the foundations of our community are weaker because of it."

By the way, Tony Dungy and his wife Lauren are parents to ten children, seven of whom they've adopted.  Keith Olbermann, who's stunningly obnoxious, who's never been married, never had children, thinks he's qualified to judge whether of not Dungy qualifies as a loving parent.

• Poor Kieth Olbermann Can't Find a Job: Imagine That!  -March 20, 2013 By Rich Kozlovich -  Yesterday this article, “Out-of-work, liberal news anchor 'seeks sympathy' -Report: Leftist host has tough time getting another job", was posted by Joe Kovacs. As I read this post I had to chuckle since Olbermann has never been a person for which one easily feels sympathetic. When he was fired by Current TV I posted this article, "Olbermann: Imagine That!" on Saturday, March 31, 2012.  After reading Kovac’s post I thought it might be worthwhile to repost it below.  There has got to be a comedy skit somewhere in this whole story for Saturday Night Live.  I certainly find it humorous…..  

The Pendulum Swings Back Eventually

I recently took my twelve-year-old for his annual check-up. The process was rather routine, except for two distinct differences. First, he needed three vaccinations, all of which he received and second, I wrote “No” across a form that the nurse handed him without my permission. 

You see, the nurse bypassed me and handed my son two pieces of paper and a pen. She asked him to answer two questions on one and then the entirety of the next. She then proceeded to leave the room. Not once did she ask me to look at the forms prior to handing them to my son nor even question whether I wanted him to complete them. It left me annoyed and feeling disrespected. 

My son proceeded to answer the questions (the first two of which he couldn’t even understand). This was met with my words “Don’t answer anything until I take a look.” So he stopped and I read. And what I read had nothing to do with my son’s physical health at all and everything to do with facets of his life quite personal to him and me, all of which fall outside of my pediatrician’s jurisdiction, in my book. So I picked up the pen and wrote the word “No” across both forms and called it a day.

When the pediatrician came in, she disregarded the papers and examined my son, engaging in the usual chit-chat that a parent would expect from a pediatrician. The appointment ended on an uneventful note but it got me to thinking how much things have changed since I was small and my mother was sitting in the pediatrician’s office with me. I was basically a third-party participant in the visit with all questions traveling from the nurse or pediatrician directly to my mother. The few that went directly to me were simple and up for debate with my mother. That’s how it was. Parents weren’t bypassed. The buck stopped with them and, in that, everyone stayed in their own lane… unlike today...........To Read More....

The blurred lanes are dumbfounding. Combine that with the vulnerability and naivety of children. Parents are now forced to remain “on-guard” at all times simply to keep their kids out of harm's way… or so they feel.
