The Common Threads That Bind

The common threads which held our Country together through the years since the Revolution has been coming apart like the thread on an old garment. There are groups and causes which have no intention of becoming productive members of our society and assimilating. They would rather tear the Country down. There are monsters who are being celebrated by people in this country.

A considerable amount of what is taking place is because there is no real leadership in this country. The person who is supposed to be the leader of the Free World is an Empty Suit and half of the time has no idea where he is. All that permeates down to the people. Especially those who seek to destroy this country because they know that they can get away with their violence. The world is slowly becoming a battlefield in one area after another.

Russia invaded Ukraine, Hamas has invaded Israel, China is Saber Rattling in South China Sea area. We are all at risk because there is no strong leader in the White House. Which was evident recently in Frisco between Biden and Xi. There are people supporting and defending the murderers and terrorists, while attacking anyone who differs with their point of view.

There are terrorists who murdered, raped, executed, and kidnapped people who were attending a Music Festival, and now they are celebrated, much like those celebrating Bin Laden and his 'Letter to the American People'.   A man responsible for murdering 3,000 of our people and he is be celebrated as some hero! What is becoming of that Shinny City on a Hill?

Higher Ed: Now it’s Just Loco

Decades ago, higher education was held to a standard of legal responsibility for the welfare of its students. The Latin term in loco parentis (in place of parents) gave them the right and duty to act as parents would. In recent decades, a better description of the how they manage their responsibilities to all students in their care is just plain loco.  David Burge explains:

The idea that virulent antisemitism on campus is some kind of shocking unforeseen phenomenon that suddenly appeared out of nowhere in October 2023 is f***ing willful blindness. Every "elite" university in the US has spent 40 years creating sinecures and chairs and entire departments for Jew-hate-peddling lunatics, and for the last 20 years panhandled donations from every lunatic oil sheikhdom to pay for them.

So, college presidents and deans can spare me the shock when some of their edgy pity-hire faculty members chant support for Hamas into a bullhorn. My Take - This article is a long and very disturbing depiction of the corruption of academia in America by leftists, antisemites, and Islamists funded by American hating enemies,  praising the vile and disgusting actions of Hamas, and attacking Jewish students on American campuses, and being allowed to get away with it.  One thing rings clear as a bell.  The nation is in trouble when this kind of thing is not only allowed to go on, it's celebrated. End all funding to "higher" education in American now, and end educational accreditation of any educational institution that allows this.  These institutions need to be dismantled.

Lift up the Rocks and See the Snakes

 As media polls continue to mislead about the state of the presidential race, there are many reasons to believe the Democrats are crazed with fear that they will be trounced more soundly this time -- as they should be, given their nominees. Here are some indicators to me: The majority of voters think they are better off now than they were four years ago; the crowds at Trump rallies are enormous and Biden can barely pull a 10-person minyan; outside of university towns there are few Biden-Harris signs up, but American flags (a safe sign when Trump signs would be stolen) are seen waving on front lawns and guns are flying off the shelves to people who have lost faith in their elected local officials to protect them. There are more, of course, but believe what the media would call your own lying eyes.

The President has been fighting idiotic policies and corruption bit by bit across both aisles, but it’s hard to find any institution that could pass a smell test. This week is no exception. We learned the Department of Defense has been forcing the troops to undergo anti-American propaganda; the VOA had peddled a video of Biden attacking the police and calling for jihad; and the Commission on Presidential Debates has ruined its reputation forever and is likely to never again be seen after this year.

Judicial Watch filed a FOIA to force the Pentagon to disclose its training manual. If you are not shocked to read what almost $20 million of your tax money has been paying for, I’d be surprised. 1. Academic Disaster 

For at least the past two decades, our colleges and universities have devolved into leftist training camps where free speech is labeled hateful and induced leftist conformity is the order of the day. Even professors at the University of Chicago, famed for its free speech code, fear to speak out.

Mr. Cochrane wrote on June 15, “I spent much of my last few years of teaching afraid that I would say something that could be misunderstood and thus be offensive to someone. Many of my colleagues report the same worries.”

If that level of fear accurately describes the situation at the University of Chicago, where the university administration has deservedly won national attention for coming down clearly, decisively, and publicly on the “open debate” side of the campus speech wars, imagine just how bad things are in the rest of academia.

In a moment when black Americans fear being killed by police, the concern that tenured professors might be inconvenienced might seem trivial. The worry at Chicago, as described by Mr. Cochrane, was less that university administrators would, on their own initiative, rule speech out of bounds.

It was more that a student would lodge a grievance that would in turn generate an investigation that would then accumulate a momentum of its own -- with no due process. Double Exposure: The Dems Coddling of Criminals and Iranian Terrorists

This week, the Democrats have been revealed as the party that exposes us to (1) criminal mayhem (often anti-Semitic) on the streets of New York and (2) terrorism everywhere as they consistently ignored it, indeed, paid off the perpetrators with pallets of airlifted unmarked bills and praised the worst of its perpetrators.

The President has the magical power, it seems, to get idiots and criminals to expose themselves......
