Observations From the Back Row, with News and Views for March 26, 2025

By Rich Kozlovich

Eliot Pattison made it clear curing the problems of democracy is possible, but curing stupid.... well, that's another story as he says:

After four long years during which our democracy was under constant peril, one might say the November election cured that crisis, at least for now, returning the American voter and American values to center stage. Zealots of the Left, however, continue their tired chorus of accusation and cancellation. It is staggering how blind to election results and deaf to the voices of voters they seem to be. Wokeness may be in retreat but this core cadre, still including many in legacy media, continue their ranting about existential threats and trying to shame us into shedding crocodile tears over illegals. They have doubled down on their playbook even though its tenets have been hollowed out, proven false again and again.

He went to show the left embraces concepts they claim to be "truths" that are demonstrably false, and quotes  Benjamin Franklin saying:

“We are born ignorant but one must work hard to remain stupid”.

Ignorance is the natural state, and we're all ignorant about a great many things because there's so much out there to learn about.  To be ignorant simply means we don't know.  But that's fixable by learning.   Refusing to learn, and refusing to believe what is known, and justifying untruths by making up things that are unknown is embracing lies, and that's stupid.  The left is now, and has always been, foundationally stupid, irrational, misanthropic, and morally defective.   The true moral foundation of leftism is hate, greed, envy, lust, with a love of violence, but hate is the foremost quality of leftism, and lies are the glue that binds them all together.

Since WWII and the Bretton Woods agreement, which was based on the obvious conclusion the allies were going to win the war, and the after the war the only allied nation that wouldn't be broke was America.  So it was decided that America would open it's markets to Europe, to get them back on their feet, and eventually to the rest of the world, assure their defense relieving them of that burdensome cost, which they could ill afford, and patrolling the worlds oceans to prevent piracy.  Yes, piracy existed, and still does.  While Bretton Wood officially ended decades ago, the principles behind Bretton Woods became the foundational foreign military and economic policy from America's political community.  Well, Bretton Wood is over, permanently!  And now Poland is claiming if Russia attacked their defensive capability is so poor they could only sustain operations for two weeks or less, and they've openly asked for an American nuclear umbrella.

Canadian politicians, and even Canadian citizens, have been shooting off their mouths how they hate America because of Trump's polices, but the reality is they always resented America. Get over it, that's reality.  And now they've come to a hard truth that no amount of rhetoric and chest beating can change.  They're freeloading days are over, "the gravy train has reached it's final stop", and are in need of another "sugar daddy", and think the European Union will lovingly embrace them.  Ya just gotta see the humor in that. The EU?

Yes, the EU, which is already a dysfunctional hodgepodge of economically wobbly, over regulated, self-important bureaucracies desperately trying to keep the Germans from remembering they’re Germans. The EU, where the French still think they run things, the Italians operate on a three-hour-lunch workday, and the Eastern Europeans are wondering why they even bothered leaving the Soviet Union if they were going to get ruled by Brussels instead. And now, Canada—who fancies itself the Turkey of North America—wants in. The cold, harsh reality? It’s not Turkey. But its former prime minister? A turkey, from beak to tail feather.

And it gets worse, as bad as things are in Europe, they're view regarding Canada's eligibility? A solid "No"!   We don't need them, and they need us, desperately, including their defense:

Canada’s most significant economic contribution to the world is pretending to be more European than American while simultaneously relying on American capital, American trade, and American military protection. It thrives on a paradox: publicly scorning the United States—while privately praying that Washington keeps ignoring its antics. But now, with Trump back in office, the free ride is over. The United States is no longer in the business of subsidizing Canada’s socialized bliss, which is a polite way of saying “socialized purgatory”—though given the state of things, even Dante might have to add another circle for Canada’s bureaucracy. And hell has officially frozen over.

Canada is now going to hold an election, and the new Prime Minister, who wasn't elected, has ordered a "snap election", whatever that means, as I find Canada's Parliamentary political system as confusing as England's and Australia's.  A man who is so far left he has to turn to the right to look at Xi, so it will be interesting to see what happens.

India is now trying to secure trade agreements around the world in preparation for sanctions, tariffs, and trade restrictions Trump may impose, which they and the rest of the world is outraged over, but one has to ask, if all those things are so terrible, they way has India been one of the world's worst offenders?   Why are they all so upset that Trump dares to do to them what they've been doing to America for decades?

Let's try and get this right, there are seven foundational rules of geopolitics, and the first one is a combination of four factors, "geographics, demographics, economics, and that most elusive factor of all, the happiness factor", and the world isn't happy, it's going broke, and the demographics pyramid in many nations is all out of whack, including China.

Turkey has hundreds of thousands marching in the streets outraged at Erdogan's arrest of the opposing candidate for President.  Will that work?  The Experts say no, and after they've been using rubber bullets, tear gas, water cannons, and arresting over a thousand people, which may be underestimated, the experts say it will peter out.   I say, we'll see, since the experts have been wrong about Turkey for years.

Africa is always in a state of "unhappiness" and unending violence, instability, and corruption at levels that makes Washington look pure.  Mozambique's President and opposition leader claim they have an agreement to end the violence,  and Sudan is threatening "retaliatory" attacks against Chad and South Sudan, and South Africa is directly and openly calling for the genocide of whites.  And this is the arena both China and Russia are trying to inject themselves into?

Australia has released it's budget for 2025/26, which is usually a precursor to holding new elections.  As I said, I understand their parliamentary political system as well as I do Canada's and England's, meaning... I don't have a clue.  This budget is heavy on defense spending to contend "with intensifying strategic competition, particularly from China".  Which I find interesting since their Asianification strategies are allowing such massive immigration from China that soon foreign born Chinese will have a major voice in their political system, and China makes sure to control those immigrants be threatening their families back in China, as has been done in the US with their "China police stations".  Australia isn't a good ally.

Africa

  • Musk Exposes South African Political Leader Pushing for Genocide Against White Farmers -Elon Musk, a key advisor to Donald Trump, has once again spotlighted the openly racist and genocidal rhetoric of some of South Africa’s most influential politicians, along with the government’s blatantly discriminatory policies against white Afrikaners. In a post to his social media platform X, Musk—responding to a video where Julius Malema, the leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters’s party, is chanting “Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer” in front of a massive crowd—wrote: Very few people know that there is a major political party in South Africa that is actively promoting white genocide.”......

Canada

  • Carney’s Snap Election -- And Trump Saw It Coming - Mark Carney’s snap election is a globalist power grab disguised as leadership, continuing Trudeau’s agenda with a more polished image. But Donald Trump saw this coming -- and he may be the only one ready to stop it.  Mark Carney’s sudden rise to power isn’t a win for democracy -- it’s a globalist takeover in a Canadian suit. Recently installed as Prime Minister of Canada without a single vote, Carney now leads both the country and the Liberal Party just months before a federal snap election that he called. This isn’t about Canadian politics -- it’s about global control. ....

Democrats

"
  • Dem Admits: Party Doesn’t Have Plan for Progress - During portions of an interview with NPR aired on Monday’s broadcast of “All Things Considered,” Rep. Marcy Kaptur (D-OH) declared that Democrats “better shape up and put together a plan for progress, starting in the places that have fallen behind where people are voting for change simply because the economy is not working for them.” And that those voters voted for Donald Trump because they knew where they live isn’t great.......
  • Let's Go Line-by-Line About How the Dems Are Totally Screwed Right Now - Demography is not destiny—an axiom that fell on deaf ears among the Democrats’ political strategist class. They were still enthralled with the notion of the Obama coalition being a path to a permanent political majority. After 2024, that coalition has been shattered, as young voters are now becoming more conservative and deeply ingrained in the Make America Great Again movement. Axios had a good one yesterday morning, going line-by-line about how screwed the Democrats are heading into the midterms. There’s a lot of bluster and talk, but there is no strategy, leader, message, or unity.....
  • "Tesla Takedown’ Movement Plots ‘Day of Action’ Against Musk - The “Tesla Takedown movement, which organizes protests against against Elon Musk and his role in the Trump administration, is gearing up for its biggest demonstrations yet with protests planned around the world this weekend on its “global day of action.”...........
  • Rashida Tlaib Won't Condemn Acts of Domestic Terrorism Against Tesla -  As Telsa car dealerships have experienced violent attacks, Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-MI) refuses to denounce these acts of domestic terrorism.  Footages shared on Tuesday morning by the Daily Caller shows Tlaib, sporting a keffiyeh, greeting the reporter who has identified himself as Myles Morell, though she pivots to ask about how much he's being paid, since she claims that "I believe you should be paid a fair wage."...............
  • In California, an anguished Dem base urges its politicians to be more crazy  -  The headline at SFGATE, a San Francisco news website, grabbed my attention: “‘Fear and anger’: California town halls are not going well for Democrats, either.”........the Democrat base has its priorities: It wants big government, even if that government is deeply corrupt and inefficient; it wants to destroy wealth creators in America, even if that means destroying the very industries the base once worshiped; it wants to keep gang bangers and terrorists in America; and it wants to continue the sexual mutilation of children.........
  • Maxine Waters Breaks Down in Public, Spouts Bizarrely Wild Lies About Melania as Ignorant Crowd Eats It Up - Well, at least give California Rep. Maxine Waters this much: She’s consistent. Consistently bonkers, sure, but there’s at least some dependability there. Fresh off declaring that America was headed toward a “civil war,” the Democratic octogenarian told the crowd that if President Donald Trump was looking to deport non-citizens who are illegally in this country, he should look first at first lady Melania Trump — his U.S. citizen spouse — or her parents, both U.S. citizens themselves......
  • Democrat Dimwitt Jasmine Crockett Physically Attacks Journalist for Asking a Question Regarding Her Sick Comments About Elon Musk and Tesla - Despicable Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) may have opened herself up to legal trouble after attacking a journalist for daring to question her about her violent remarks toward Elon Musk and Tesla. As The Gateway Pundit reported, Crockett spoke last Wednesday on a livestream organized by #TeslaTakedown, which has engaged in multiple actions designed to harm the company........ Downs is currently at Capitol Hill Police headquarters right now and will be filing a police report for assault. She adds that Burchett will be listed as well since he was a witness.............
  • Crockett Calls Greg Abbott the “Hot Wheels Governor” in Low Blow of All Low Blows - Lately, our politics has gotten a little below-the-belt, but this comment right here from sitting U.S. Congresswoman Jasmine Crockett crosses a line I hadn't thought would be crossed even in this political climate.  Listen to the comment Crockett has for this guy ......Texas Governor Greg Abbott, who has been paralyzed since 1984:"So we out in these hot ass streets with the hot wheels governor who a hot ass mess" ..........
  • Rep. Jasmine Crockett mocks Texas's wheelchair-bound governor Abbott as 'Gov. Hot Wheels,' then keeps digging - Rep. Jasmine Crockett of Texas is fairly new on the job in the House, but already being touted as the Democrats' great presidential hope for 2028.......  what kind of person makes fun of someone else's handicaps? Only a very indecent one. Then she put out this in the wake of criticism:......
  • Jasmine Crockett's 'Hot Wheels' Narrative About Greg Abbott Just Imploded -  You knew this apology was never going to hold up. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), the emerging face of the Democratic Party, who I hope becomes a permanent fixture, mocked Republican Gov. Greg Abbott, calling him “hot wheels” at a Human Rights Campaign dinner in Los Angeles last weekend. She has tried to deny that it was about Abbott’s wheelchair. .....
  • MTG: Jasmine Crockett Had ‘Police Escort’ Through Halls of Congress - Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) claimed that she saw Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) with a “Capitol Police escort” walking through the U.S. Capitol building after she reportedly tried to take a reporter’s phone over questions regarding the ongoing attacks against Tesla...............
  • Jasmine Crockett Gone Wild: Texas Democrat Claws Her Way to Become Superstar of Broken Party - Jasmine Crockett was not a well-known name in 2023 or really, in 2024, but she is busying herself making headlines with her bombastic and controversial remarks, clawing her way to the top of a party left in complete shambles after the last presidential election............
  • The Democrats Are the Party of Hate - Back in the Vietnam War era, many protesters on college campuses were proud Democrats who chanted slogans about “peace” and “love.” They flashed the peace sign and railed about the war and police brutality while professing support for “free speech.”  Never mind that the Vietnam War was escalated by a Democrat President and ended by a Republican President, these protesters claimed that they were “non-violent” and that the federal government, and especially Republican politicians, were trying to limit their freedoms............
  • Liberals Are OK With Slavery - Liberals love to talk about the slavery of 400 years ago, which the Republican Party successfully abolished in this country, but when it comes to slavery today, it is a different story. And there is quite a bit of slavery today–mostly in Islamic countries, which for many centuries have been the prime centers of slave owning and slave trading, and in China..............
  • Malicious Imbeciles - In our dawning Era of Common Sense, here’s some common sense. If you unchain junkyard dogs, you better be sure they won’t bite you in the rear. Democrats are being bitten in their collective behind lately. Not just once, but repeatedly. Siccing DEI and woke dogs on folk -- those not them -- is turning on them. It’s a big part of what’s devouring the ex-party of Jefferson and Jackson.......

 DOGE

  • There's a DOGE Update on Dead People Getting Social Security- The Department of Government Efficiency, led by Elon Musk and a team of tech savvy young people, is cleaning up the Social Security rolls and clearing out ineligible recipients. More specifically, those who are deceased. President Donald Trump held a Cabinet meeting at the White House Monday and ridding the federal government of waste, fraud and abuse was a central focus. Musk attended and Attorney General Pam Bondi thanked him for finding fraud the Department of Justice plans to pursue for prosecution. ..........

Economics

  • How Mississippi eliminated the income tax - Mississippi has made history as the first state in the U.S. -- aside from oil-rich Alaska -- to pass legislation aimed at phasing out its income tax.  This monumental achievement, spearheaded by Governor Tate Reeves and House Speaker Jason White, marks a significant victory for the state. The newly passed bill outlines a plan to eliminate the income tax over the next decade, starting with incremental cuts and followed by a series of budget-driven "triggers."......... What happened next was both fascinating -- and, if you support income tax elimination, rather fortuitous.......

Education

  • Can Trump Really Abolish the Department of Education? - Since the department was established in 1979, it has thrown at least $1 trillion down the rat hole with little to show for it.  In a powerful letter, “Our Department’s Final Mission,” Secretary McMahon explained to her staff that “student outcomes have consistently languished,” alluding to NAEP scores showing that less than a third of U.S. students today are “proficient” in the core subjects of reading and math...........Despite the unconstitutionality of federal involvement in education............The Department of Education has been highly successful at what it was intended to do.  Established as political payback to teachers’ unions for support of Jimmy Carter.........

FBI

  • New report: NYPD officer accused of spying for the Chinese…from the same building as the FBI field office - According to Shawn Cohen’s exclusive article at the Daily Mail, Zhu Jiang, a sergeant with the New York Police Department has been suspended without pay as he is reportedly under investigation for allegedly committing acts of espionage on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party. And…Zhu was apparently working out of the same building that housed the FBI’s local field office—yes, the same field office that refused transparency regarding its prosecution of J6 defendants, and allegedly withheld crucial documents related to the Epstein investigation. (I now have to wonder if there’s any connection between the CCP and this lawless FBI department.).............
Immigration
  • Face the Nonsense, Again: Margaret Brennan’s ‘You Should Watch the News’ Moment - The exchange centered on Brennan’s insistence that the arrest and detention of Mahmoud Khalil, a doctoral student at Columbia and leader of CUAD, somehow raised troubling “free speech” concerns. Brennan seemed genuinely perplexed—and more than a little miffed—that the federal government would dare remove a foreign national who leads a group that has:
  • Advocated violence,
  • Obstructed Jewish students’ access to campus,
  • Forced Columbia University into lockdown,
  • And called for the overthrow of the West, including the United States.

Rubio calmly explained that Khalil is not a U.S. citizen and that his activities constitute grounds for deportation. When she doubled down, Rubio fired back: “You should watch the news.".......

  • Trump, the Mullahs and Skin in the Game - Trump took out Qassem Soleimani for attacking the US Embassy. Who wants to be next?  You could call it the Donald Trump theory of international relations: getting skin in the game without sending US troops. That’s what you saw when President Trump offered Zelenskyy the deal to exploit Ukraine’s rare earth minerals. The Z-man was obsessed with getting US “security guaranties” – a promise to send US troops should Russia attack again in the future.  Trump rightly said, no. Instead, he offered to put US companies on the front lines, essentially making those civilians a tripwire should Russia dare attack..............
  • 1,100+ Arrested Protesting Detention of Erdogan Rival - Turkey has arrested over 1,100 people since the Istanbul Mayor Ekrem İmamoÄŸlu was apprehended on March 19, the country’s interior minister confirmed Monday  İmamoÄŸlu is one of the most popular politicians in the country, a member of the opposite Republican People’s Party (CHP), a secularist party founded by Mustafa Kemal Atatürk. He has for years been seen as a frontrunner in the presidential race against President Recep Tayyip ErdoÄŸan, whose Islamist Justice and Development Party (AKP) has been in power for over two decades. The CHP made that challenge official by nominating İmamoÄŸlu as its candidate for the next presidential election on Sunday; the election is currently scheduled to take place in 2028....... The detention has prompted hundreds of thousands of people to take to the streets in protest in Turkey’s largest cities, most prominently Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir.........
  • ‘Hamas Out!’: Palestinians Launch Rare Uprising in Gaza Strip - Hundreds of Gazans marched through the northern town of Beit Lahiya carrying white flags and chanting anti-Hamas slogans, according to videos posted from the scene, which showed participants calling for peace, press coverage, and the release of hostages............
  • Hamas-Linked Georgetown Academic Faces Deportation Following MEF Report - Badar Khan Suri, a Fellow at Georgetown University’s Prince Alwaleed bin Talal Center for Muslim-Christian Understanding, Has Been Arrested and Faces Deportation Proceedings. This follows an article published by the Middle East Forum (MEF) exposing Suri’s repeated praise of Hamas terror and relation by marriage to a senior figure in the designated terrorist organization...........

Trump

  • Trump Has Broken the Press - That probably isn’t news: the fact that Trump has broken the Democrats, including their reporters and editors, has been evident for quite a while. But it is remarkable that even abroad, Trump seems to create a force field that renders otherwise-normal people bonkers.....

My Take - In all fairness, that's simply not true that Trump broke the media.  It's a part of the story, but the real story is all about those alternative news sites that challenged the left, and the corruption of the Pravda media, exposing the lies they've been feeding America for decades.  It's taken about 20 years, but it was the alternative media, with all the citizen journalists, who broke the media.  Trump is just part of that story.

Voter Fraud

  • Civil Rights Experts Worry Trump Exec Order Mandating Proof of Citizenship Will Block Illegal Aliens From Voting - "This measure discriminates against the most oppressed people in our society". President Trump’s new executive order requiring voters to show proof of citizenship has voting rights advocates concerned that it will prevent undocumented voters from voting.  “Our undocumented friends and neighbors already collect earned income tax credits and serve in prisons, now this will put another roadblock in their way of full and equal participation in our society,” complained Columbia Anacsota of the non-partisan immigrant rights group Muerte America.....

My Take - And they're undocumented why?  Because they're here illegally, and they have no rights, they have no right to vote, they're not citizens, and they have no right for a hearing to decide if they should be deported or not.  That's a "right" that's being created by corrupt leftist rogue judges.   If they're arrested and found to be here illegally, then their story is over, and should automatically be deportation.  Period.

Slavery Reparations: An Exercise in Occam's Razor

By Sean Gabb @ Free Life For Life, Liberty and Property

The Daily Telegraph reports that the Foreign Office has opened discussions regarding the payment of reparations for slavery. According to the article, the government is considering financial compensation to nations and communities affected by the transatlantic slave trade, a move influenced by pressure from Caribbean nations and international advocacy groups. While no formal policy has been announced, the discussions signal a potential shift in British Government policy on historical accountability.

The article notes that this development follows previous gestures of atonement, including symbolic apologies and funding for educational projects. Critics of reparations argue that such payments would set a dangerous precedent, making governments liable for historical injustices committed by past generations. Supporters, on the other hand, claim that economic disparities in former colonies are a direct consequence of slavery and that Britain, having benefited from the trade, has a moral duty to compensate affected populations.

However, the push for reparations ignores the basic facts of human nature as evidenced in universal human history. It also appears to serve a more contemporary ideological and political agenda, one that has little to do with justice and much to do with a project of rewriting British history as a story of perpetual villainy and guilt.

One of these basic errors in the reparations argument is its selective moral outrage. Slavery was a universal institution until the early 19th century. Every major civilisation, from Ancient Egypt to Imperial China, practised some form of coerced labour. The Greek and Roman economies were built on slavery, as were the Arab Caliphates and the African kingdoms that supplied slaves to European traders.

Human beings are hierarchical and self-interested creatures. Those with power have always sought to dominate and exploit those without. The notion that slavery was an aberration unique to European colonialism is historically illiterate. If reparations are to be paid for historical slavery, should Italy compensate the descendants of Germanic tribes enslaved by Rome? Should Turkey compensate the Balkan nations for centuries of Ottoman enslavement? The entire notion is absurd.

The first great power to decide that slavery was morally indefensible was Britain. Slavery was declared illegal in England by the Somerset v Stewart judgment of 1772, which established that no person could be both in Britain and a slave. The slave trade was abolished throughout the British Empire in 1807, and slavery itself was abolished in 1833, and British taxpayers paid for this.

Unlike other empires, which tolerated or even expanded slavery well into the 19th century, Britain used its global power to eradicate slavery. The Royal Navy established the West Africa Squadron, which patrolled the Atlantic, seizing slave ships and freeing those aboard. Between 1808 and 1860, the Royal Navy intercepted over 1,600 ships and freed more than 150,000 African slaves. Britain engaged in diplomatic and military pressure against countries that continued the trade, straining relations with powers such as Brazil, Spain, and the United States.

If reparations are a matter of historical reckoning, then Britain has already paid its debt. The British people have no reason to feel ashamed of their history on this matter.

A central claim of the reparations lobby is that the wealth of Britain and other Western nations was built on slavery. This is demonstrably false. If slavery were the key to economic success, then Spain and Portugal, nations with deeply entrenched and long-lasting slave economies, should have been the richest nations of the 19th century. Instead, they were economically stagnant. Meanwhile, Germany, which had no significant involvement in the transatlantic slave trade, underwent an industrial transformation that outpaced many nations that had historically engaged in slavery.

Britain's Industrial Revolution was driven not by slavery but by technological innovation, property rights, and free markets. The expansion of industry and finance occurred after the abolition of slavery, not before. Slavery was an archaic system incompatible with the efficiencies of industrial capitalism.

If reparations for slavery are to be demanded, why are they not being demanded from every civilisation that practised it? Where are the calls for reparations from Islamic nations, where slavery continued into the 20th century? The Ottoman Empire ran a vast slave trade in white Europeans, capturing men and women from the Balkans, the Caucasus, and even as far as Iceland. Catherine the Great's conquest of Crimea in the 1780s ended the Crimean Khanate's lucrative trade in Slavic slaves, but there has been no campaign for Turkey to compensate the descendants of those enslaved.

Similarly, African kingdoms that sold slaves to European traders do not seem to be held accountable. The Kingdom of Dahomey (modern Benin) was one of the most aggressive slave-trading states in history. Yet, no one is demanding that the descendants of these African rulers pay reparations to their own people.

The reparations movement is not about justice; it is about politics. And it is a politics that operate with a selective sense of historical responsibility.

Occam's Razor suggests that the simplest explanation is usually the correct one. Why, then, is Britain being pushed towards reparations for slavery when many other nations, just as complicit (if not more so), are not?

The answer is simple: Britain's ruling class is not motivated by a mistaken understanding of history. Nor is it driven by genuine remorse. It is engaged in an ideological project to delegitimise British history, demonise the native population, and redistribute wealth in ways that serve the interests of a globalist elite.

The modern British state, proximately controlled by a managerial class that despises its own people, sees historical guilt as a useful tool. It uses it to weaken national identity, to justify mass immigration, and to entrench the belief that the native population has no legitimate claim to its own institutions. Reparations are not about compensating the descendants of slaves; they are about furthering an agenda of demographic transformation and wealth extraction from ordinary working people to benefit a parasitic ruling class.

This is not historical justice. It is a racket.

Britain owes nothing to those demanding reparations. The British people should be proud of their country's role in ending slavery, not ashamed of it. The entire reparations movement is an exercise in political manipulation, not historical redress.

Slavery was a universal human institution. Britain was the first great power to abolish it and fought for its suppression across the world. If reparations are owed, they are owed by every civilisation that ever practised slavery. Selectively targeting Britain, and, by extension, white Europeans, exposes the true motive behind this campaign: not justice, but anti-white politics.

The answer to this push for reparations should be a firm and unapologetic "no." Of course, there should also be a revolution, one purpose of which should be that no one active in this evil demonisation of British history and the British people should never again be allowed to come so close to power in Britain. To be sure, so far as they may be one, and there is not, Britain has already paid its debt through its moral leadership, and through its power when this existed. It should not be forced to pay again merely to further the modern attempt to enslave the British people.

Nikki Haley, Slavery, and Our Democracy

By Rich Kozlovich

While I agree with all those who comment about the valuelessness of Nikki Haley as a candidate, and I think she's toast after the primaries, but I also think all this clabber about her response regarding the Civil War is way over done, and by Republicans.  The fact is the argument over the cause of the Civil War has been whether it as state rights issue, or slavery.   And the answer is? Yes!

States rights and secession wasn't just a Southern states issue.  In years earlier the New England states threatened to succeed over tariffs. But tariffs isn't a hot button issue, and probably not to most of the citizens in those states. But make no mistake, slavery was. Tariffs was an economic issue, but slavery was a moral issue of massive proportions.

So, was it a states right issue? Yes, but only slavery could have divided the Union. The United States was so unique in world history many believed, including many in the South, it was a creation of God, and only the issue of slavery could have triggered that disaster.

So then, we have to ask and answer this question to arrive at the correct answer. If slavery didn't exist in America would there have been a Civil War? The answer is No!

She admitted it was slavery, but the way she handled it shows a lack of depth, and ability. She should have given them a short history lesson and then moved on.

Of course the real blame for this goes to Donald Trump.  And we know that must be true because MSNBC told us so. Right?

Tunisian president warns of country being ‘overrun by blacks’

By

Though officially slavery is outlawed everywhere, in Africa hundreds of thousands of blacks are still enslaved by Arab masters. In Mali, there are up to 800,000, in Niger there are 45,000, and in Mauritania, which in 1981 became the last country to abolish slavery, there are over 100,000. No one raises the matter at the UN General Assembly, no Special Rapporteur has been appointed to study the “situation of black African slaves in Muslim lands.”

In Tunisia, black Africans — both those who have arrived in order to then try to make it to Europe by boat, and those whose families have been in Tunisia for generations (15% of Tunisians are black) – find themselves the object of racist attacks by individual Tunisian Arabs and by the Tunisian government. The Tunisian President has deplored the presence of so many black Africans who, he claims, are “overrunning” the country; sub-Saharan migrants have been arrested for the “crime of being black,” and now the police have been taking black Africans to desert areas, near the borders inhospitable with Algeria and Libya. There they are left without food and water, to fend for themselves. The local................How do the Tunisians escape condemnation? They have the political protection afforded them by the other 21 members of the Arab League, and by the 56 other members of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. Neither at the UN Human Rights Council, nor at the General Assembly, have the matter of Arab enslavement of blacks, or of Arab anti-black racism, ever been raised, nor will they ever be..................To Read More...

If We're Doing Reparations, Here's Who Should Pay Them

By Nina May  March 12, 2023

With the growing push to pass some type of reparations legislation, it becomes increasingly necessary to lay the foundation for both the support for and opposition to such a move. Florida state senator Blaise Ingoglia introduced S.B. 1248, "The Ultimate Cancel Act," which would require the Florida Division of Elections to cancel the filings "of any political party that has ever endorsed slavery in its official party platform."

This comes on the heels of a cancel culture movement to tear down statues, ban Confederate flags, remove portraits of slave-owners from the U.S. Capitol, and rename thousands of public buildings across the country that carried the names of slave-owners.  It is often overlooked that all these statues, the portraits, the school names...were all Democrats.  All slave-holding Democrats.  Because it was their party that fought a war causing hundreds of thousands of innocent people to lose their lives, as they fought to end slavery.................To Read More....

Politicized Black History And The Great American Shakedown

For Black History Month 2022, Disney released a Proud Family episode asserting that slaves built America, and Hulu began streaming the 1619 Project docuseries. The latter builds on The New York Times’s 1619 Project, which presents American slavery as the cruelest in the world. This is nonsense and, even as Black History Month 2023 is in the rear-view mirror, it must be countered because it serves as the basis for a never-ending, society-corrupting shakedown.

Both productions assert that, in addition to the basic immorality of slavery itself, whites were unrelievedly cruel to black slaves. From that foundation, leftists insist that the world’s most prosperous and educated black population are still victims of white oppression, justifying economy-busting reparations. It’s a shakedown.

In fact, the uncontested winners for “world’s cruelest slavery” exist outside America’s borders and history. In Haiti, for example, slaves were treated so poorly that they died after a few years. It was cheaper to purchase new slaves than to treat slaves humanely.

Non-American slave owners discouraged reproduction because children often died before they were productive. In 1802, the U.S. black population was 1 million. If the US had duplicated conditions in the Caribbean, the black population would have been 186,000—and that attrition rate would still have been better than in Middle Eastern nations. A thousand years of black slavery are concealed by the virtual absence of black people.

In the Middle East and Africa, it was normal to castrate young boys without pain reducers. The greatest demand, though, was for female sex slaves—”mats of pleasure.” When women became old, say 40, they were often left to die. The immorality of slavery in America, notwithstanding, American enslavers were, uniquely, required to care for their slaves until they died..............To Read More

SPECIAL EDITION FRIDAY: Let’s Demand ‘Reparations’ From Blacks For Riots and Violent Protests

By Mychal Massie February 10, 2023 @ Daily Rant Economy / Education / Public Schools

The next time someone tries to guilt you about white privilege and the lies surrounding slavery; here are facts that I shared in a syndicated column from 2017 titled: “Let’s Demand ‘Reparations’ From Blacks For Riots and Violent Protests.”  It’s too bad these facts are not taught to children in Florida taking the ‘Advanced Placement African-American Studies Program.’  It is too bad Nikole Hannah-Jones didn’t use these facts to tell the truth, instead of the crock of fantasy and outright lies she spread like manure in a wheat field called The 1619 Project.

BEGIN MY ARTICLE HERE:

Certainly not all, but it’s safe to say the majority of blacks openly claim or quietly believe the lie that America was built by slaves. Many people, and especially many black people, are not interested in factual truths; they’re only interested in lies and distortions that augment and support their ignorance.
The truth about slavery in America is that it existed. It was immoral but it was not illegal. At no time did America supplant any Eastern country as having the most slaves or a country that supplied slaves to other countries. America participated in slavery only briefly and only in limited locales. America didn’t invent slavery any more than America created crazed jihadists.

When American Republic was founded in 1776, slavery not only literally existed everywhere on earth, but it was an accepted aspect of human history for centuries before Moses was born and eventually led Israel out of Egyptian bondage.

Following are facts about slavery that the purveyors of white guilt are ignorant of: Aristotle further opined that “it is clear that there are certain people who are free and certain who are slaves by nature, and it is both to their advantage, and just, for them to be slaves.” The Romans seized so many captives from Eastern Europe that the terms “Slav” and “slave” bore the same origins.

All the great cultures of the ancient world, from Egypt to Babylonia, Athens to Rome, Persia to India to China, depended upon the brutal enslavement of the masses – often representing heavy majorities of the population. Contrary to the glamorization of aboriginal New World cultures, the Mayas, Aztecs and Incas counted among the most brutal slave-masters of them all — not only turning the members of other tribes into harshly abused beasts of burden but also using these conquered enemies to feed a limitless lust for human sacrifice.

The Tupinamba, a powerful tribe on the coast of Brazil south of the Amazon, took huge numbers of captives, then humiliated them for months or years, before engaging in mass slaughter of their victims in ritualized cannibalistic feasts. In Africa, slavery also represented a timeless norm long before any intrusion by Europeans. Moreover, the Portuguese, Spanish, Dutch or British slave traders rarely penetrated far beyond the coasts: the actual capture and kidnapping of the millions of victims always occurred at the hands of neighboring tribes.

As the great African-American historian Nathan Huggins pointed out, “virtually all of the enslavement of Africans was carried out by other Africans” but the concept of an African “race” was the invention of Western colonists, and most African traders “saw themselves as selling people other than their own.” (Six Inconvenient Truths About The U.S. and Slavery; Michael Medved; Townhall.com; 9/26/2007)

The myth that America became wealthy because of slave labor is just that – a myth. America became wealthy despite slave labor. The most prosperous states in the country were those that first freed their slaves. As Medved states: “Pennsylvania passed an emancipation law in 1780; Connecticut and Rhode Island followed four years later (all before the Constitution). New York approved emancipation in 1799. These states (with dynamic banking centers in Philadelphia and Manhattan) quickly emerged as robust centers of commerce and manufacturing, greatly enriching themselves while the slave-based economies in the South languished by comparison…All analyses of Northern victory in the great sectional struggle highlights the vast advantages in terms of wealth and productivity in New England, the Mid-Atlantic States and the Midwest, compared to the relatively backward and impoverished states of the Confederacy.”

Devin Foley, co founder and president of the Intellectual Takeout wrote: “Turning back to ‘Warfare In The Western World,’ we find statistics that show just how dramatic the differences in populations and economic power were between the free North and the slave South. … “But in a longer struggle the North’s advantages were substantial. With a population of 20 million, the Northern states obviously possessed a much larger military manpower base, but their industrial capacity was far greater as well. In 1860 the North had over 110,000 manufacturing establishments, the South just 18,000.

The North produced 94 percent of the country’s iron, 97 percent of is coal and – not incidentally – 97 percent of its firearms. It contained 22,000 miles of railroad to the South’s 8,500. The North outperformed the South agriculturally as well. Northerners held 75 percent of the country’s farm acreage, produced 60 percent of its livestock, 67 percent of its corn, and 81 percent of its wheat. All in all, they held 75 percent of the nation’s total wealth.” (No, Slavery Didn’t Build America: It’s A Popular Narrative, But History Doesn’t Support It; 3/2/2016)

Foley also notes:

“That final statistic combined with the North’s victory in the Civil War should be sufficient to dispel the idea that America was built on slavery. Keep in mind, too, that not all of the wealth in the South was generated by slaves. Free men in the South also worked their own fields and industries.”

Medved further points out that:

“Yale historian David Brion Davis in his definitive 2006 history ‘Inhuman Bondage: The Rise and Fall Of Slavery In The New World’ notes that colonial North America…surprisingly received only 5 to 6 percent of the African slaves shipped across the Atlantic. Meanwhile, the Arab slave trade (primarily from East Africa) lasted longer and enslaved more human beings than the European slavers working the other side of the continent… when taking the prodigious and unspeakably cruel Islamic enslavements into the equation, at least 97 percent of all African men, women and children who were kidnapped, sold, and taken from their homes, were sent somewhere other than the British colonies of North America. In this context there is no historical basis to claim that the United States bears primary, or even prominent guilt for the depredations of centuries of African slavery.”

Armed with these facts it would be nice to enlighten “The National Coalition of Blacks for Reparations in America” to factual reality. Said Reparationists are in the midst of attempting to shake down and extort money from University of Chicago; because supposedly: “Like so many other venerable American institutions, the University of Chicago is built on slavery…Hundreds of enslaved people lived and died on [the Douglas] plantation to make the University of Chicago and its $7 billion endowment, possible. [Ergo,] reparations are long overdue.” This is based upon a published paper by four University of Chicago graduate students from the history department. The paper detailed the University of Chicago’s founding with profits from enslavements.

The very idea of this extortion attempt should be subjected to harshest rebuke. It’s time for blacks that bathe in the immiseration of lies and blackmail, to cease and desist. In the absence of that I say we should counter their arguments by holding them financially accountable for the cities and personal property they have destroyed by rioting, violent protest, and the looting that accompanies same.
Instead of allowing institutions and businesses to be blackmailed under the guise of being held accountable, I say we teach blacks what accountability is, by holding them financially responsible for the murder and mayhem they commit.

Take action and share this!

Creative Historical Interpretations Are Not History

The dominating narrative in American schools and the popular culture today is that slavery began in America in 1619.  Unfortunately, there is about as much truth in that scenario as there was in the “Hands Up, Don’t Shoot” media crusade in August 2014.  Nikole Hannah-Jones and her Critical Race Theory comrades prove beyond doubt the accuracy of Arthur Schlesinger’s maxim that “history is a weapon.”  They distort the historical narrative by omitting key facts that, if told, would present an entirely different view of the past.

There seems to be a general consensus, regarding the arrival of African slaves at Jamestown in 1619. They were first captured in Angola, and sold to Portuguese slavers based in Luanda. While in transport towards Mexico, two English corsairs flying a Dutch flag captured this Portuguese ship in the Gulf and removed some of the slaves, who were then brought to Jamestown, which was in desperate need of laborers. Here, “some twenty odd” Africans were exchanged for “victuals.”

Then, the historical concurrence stops.  Hannah-Jones argues that all the Africans were reduced to slavery, while others argue that they were given the same status as White contracted laborers. Some argue that the word “servant” and not “slave” was used in Virginia’s first census of 1620. What complicates matters is that indentured servants sometimes referred to themselves as slaves.

The status of the Africans is also unclear because after the 1625 census we lost sight of them.  In putting forth the claim that those Africans who arrived in 1619 were life-long slaves it’s necessary to generalize events and omit key facts. For example, in 2011 Barack Obama signed a proclamation at the landing site, which read:

The first enslaved Africans in England’s colonies in America were brought to this peninsula on a ship flying the Dutch flag in 1619, beginning a long ignoble period of slavery in the colonies and, later, this Nation.

Unfortunately, that’s not the entire story. The words probably, may, and likely, are freely used to support the argument that the enslavement of Africans in colonial America began in 1619.  The Africans were indeed slaves when they arrived in Virginia, and they undoubtedly would have continued to remain slaves had they reached their intended destination in Mexico.  What the historical record in Virginia does show is that the small group of Africans was repeatedly referred to as “servants” in the annual censuses of 1620, 1624, and 1625.  Moreover, several of them appear later as free persons.  For this to happen, they undoubtedly had to have been accorded the status of their White equals (indentured servants).  Anthony  Johnson — one of the earliest Africans to arrive — began his life in Virginia as an indentured servant who gained his freedom and eventually became the owner of 250 acres of land through the headright system. His African wife, Mary, arrived in Virginia around 1622 or 1623 and was reported as living with Anthony in 1625.  They were both free before 1645 and “became comparatively prosperous landowners” on Virginia’s eastern shore.  In February 1653, Johnson’s home and some outbuildings were consumed by fire and he received public assistance from the colony because of his “hard labor and known service.” There’s more:

Two years later, when he and his family had again attained a modicum of prosperity, he successfully sued a prominent planter who he accused of illegally confiscating some of his livestock. Then in 1654, an incident took place that proved that Johnson, a black man, not only owned another member of his race, but was able to keep him in bondage for the rest of his life. The man in question was a ‘Negro called John Casor,’ who convinced a white neighbor that he was an indentured servant who should have been freed at the expiration of his tenure. Believing Casor, the man took him home to work in his own tobacco fields . . . In the end, the justices decided that Casor ‘shall forthwith be returned unto the service of his master Anthony Johnson.’

It’s ironic that this civil suit, which is cited as the first example of an enslaved African, had an African master.  The life of John Pedro provides another example: in 1625, John was listed in the household of Francis West, but was a free landowner in Lancaster, Virginia by the 1650s. Another, John Phillip, was thought to have been “the only African to arrive in Virginia free.”

Unfortunately, the scant records do not tell us much about the lives of these few dozen Africans.  Some Africans achieved free status and successfully sued — not just once, but twice — more prominent White colonists.  It is true that by the 1660s, the colonies were increasingly moving towards the institution of slavery, but when viewed within the context of global events, this is hardly seem surprising.  English civilians had long been at risk of enslavement themselves by Africans — as the White aristocrats in charge of the early Virginia colony were fully aware.  The coasts of England, Scotland, and Ireland had been targeted by Muslim slavers from North Africa.  Since the Berber invasion of Spain and France, large Islamic armies had launched massive slave raids against Christian Europe.  Unlike Europe, which sought spices, Muslim armies sought “white gold” — slaves.  Men  were prized as galley slaves, eunuchs, and laborers who were worked to death in the mines and  quarries of North Africa.  Between 1400 and 1700, hundreds of thousands of white Christian boys and girls were seized by the Ottoman Empire in a form of “child tax” called devshirme.  It should be noted the early English explorer of Virginia, James Smith, was a soldier of fortune whose military experience fighting the Ottomans helped the colony to survive.  In August 1625 — the very year the Virginia census listed 25 Africans living there — Muslim slavers from Africa seized over 60 English residents who sought refuge in a church in Cornwall.  That same month, the Plymouth mayor decried that “27 ships had been taken and all the men on board, over 200 of them – had been made slaves.”

From Lundy Island, Muslim slavers established a permanent base and preyed upon England and Ireland for years. On two occasions, they sailed to Iceland, successfully capturing nearly 400 people, leaving more than 36 dead, some burned alive.  In 1631, African slavers seized 89 women and children and 20 men from Ireland, selling them in Algiers.  African-based slavers even attacked the Faroe Islands while continuing to ravage helpless towns all over coastal Europe. One Icelandic historian writes:

By the 1650s, there were 30,000 prisoners from coastal lands all over Europe in Algiers alone… As one of the hapless 400, Guðríður spent nine years in what’s now Algiers before the Danish government finally came up with ransom money… She was ransomed in June 1636 but had to leave her son behind in Algiers.

Ben Johnson succinctly summarizes it here:

For over 300 years, the coastlines of the south west of England were at the mercy of Barbary pirates (corsairs) from the coast of North Africa… Between 1677 and 1680 the English were losing 3,000 people to Muslim slavers per year, highlighting a problem that had not abated for the entirety of the century.

In the first half of the seventeenth century, more White Europeans were seized and taken to Africa than Black Africans seized and taken to America.

Nor were the English unfamiliar with events in eastern Europe — Ottoman slave raids from the Crimean Khanate enslaved an estimated 2 million people over hundreds of years.  Nor were the colonists in America immune.  The enslavement of White Americans and Europeans continued until actions by the United States in 1815 and England in 1816 finally brought it to an end. By this time, both the nations had outlawed the trans-Atlantic slave trade by stationing fleets of warships to intercept and free any slaves they encountered.  It’s worth remembering that very few of the slaves from Africa ever arrived in North America.  African-American historian Henry Louis Gates, Jr. states that — of the 10.7 million who disembarked in the New World — only 450,000 African slaves were ever brought to North America.  Africans from Algiers, Tunis, and Tripoli, on the other hand, are estimated to have enslaved 1.25 to 1.5 million  White Europeans.  Just as the facts surrounding the details of those few dozen Africans who disembarked in Virginia remain unclear, so the total number of Europeans who suffered enslavement by people of color remains hazy.

What is clear is that there has been a deliberate omission of the historical record in American schools regarding the subject of slavery and how it influenced the foundation of America.  Nor are many Americans aware that in its first 100 years as a nation, the U.S. fought three anti-slavery wars — two to free White slaves and one to free Blacks.  To deliberately ignore these historical truths is not only deceitful and wrong, it’s malicious.  What has been the result of this deliberate distortion of our nation’s past? National division.  Increased racial tension and hate crimes, emanating from a false narrative.  A lack of patriotism in our younger generation.  New forms of discrimination and racial segregation aimed against those who supposedly “enjoy” the benefits of “White privilege.”  Increased social upheaval within our once grand cities.  A collapse of our educational system.  A weakened military. Increased tribalism all across the nation.

This has been the toll of the false historical narrative. Literally, the survival of our nation is at stake.

How do we correct the problem? Simple.  We demand a return to the honest teaching of American history.

African Feminist Slave Traders vs. White Male Slave Liberators

September 22, 2022

Sony, spurred by the success of Black Panther, decided to make the ‘Amazon’ Agojie warriors of Dahomey, the inspiration for the fictional female warriors of the comic book, into a movie.

The Woman King had a $50 million budget to bring the real Wakanda to life. It opened at the top of the box office as a black nationalist story of female empowerment about heroic slave traders. While a movie celebrating the Confederacy could never be made, African slave traders who sold hundreds of thousands of slaves and engaged in mass sacrifice are Hollywood heroes.

Despite the fact that the movie had originated with white actress Maria Bello of Coyote Ugly, Gina Prince-Bythewood, its half-black director, made sure “people of color” would be in charge during the production. Prince-Bythewood, who had been given up for adoption by her white birth mother and was raised by a white couple near the vineyards of Monterey, claimed that she cried about her “connection to the material” glorifying one of the worst slave trading tribes in Africa.

The Woman King’s absurd wokeness extended even to Prince-Bythewood claiming that she based the movie’s rape scene on “Christine Blasey Ford’s testimony at Brett Kavanaugh’s Supreme Court nomination hearing.” And the media was appropriately fawning.

But then the protests on social media began.

The Dahomeys and the female warriors had sold hundreds of thousands of members of rival tribes into slavery. They had also overseen gruesome mass sacrifice rituals of their slaves.

While black nationalist movies routinely ignore history, this one hit home with some descendants of slaves, especially those from the Bahamas. The slaves sold by the Dahomeys tended to be shipped to Brazil which was notorious for the mass death of black laborers. The slave ships intercepted by the British Navy however occasionally set the slaves free in the Bahamas.

The actual history of the Dahomeys of the ‘Slave Coast’ has sabotaged what was supposed to be a smooth rollout for The Woman King and its mingled tale of female empowerment and black nationalism. But while The Woman King’s feminist warriors were real life villains who helped enslave countless black people, there were real heroes who fought the slave trade.

Unfortunately they were white men. Now long dead and defamed by leftist revisionist historians.

While Black Lives Matter has conducted its own rampage in the UK, it was the British Navy that fought African and Muslim slave traders. In Dahomey and the Dahomeyans, Frederick Forbes, a British naval officer who had come to lobby the monarch to end the slave trade, described “guards of amazons” following in a procession behind a member of the king’s harem using umbrellas to shade her. One such umbrella was “decorated with 148 human jaw bones.”

When wealthy Dahomeyans were dying, they took some of their wives and slaves with them as human sacrifices. Large scale mass sacrifices were practiced, including the brutal and horrifying killings of hundreds to thousands of slaves to honor Dahomey’s monstrous monarchs.

One account from 1860 presented in Parliament described how “a great pit has been dug which is to contain human blood enough to float a canoe. 2000 persons will be sacrificed on this occasion.” Those killed were captives from other tribes where the “young people among these prisoners will be sold into slavery, and the old persons will be killed at the great custom.”

The New York Times reprinted a description of “thousands of people are being sacrificed, (decapitated and afterwards cut in pieces,) and thousands are kept for the slaves.”

This was the real-life Wakanda.

It was the British and the Americans who put an end to this nightmare through colonialism and imperialism. Even before the Civil War, the United States had signed the Webster–Ashburton Treaty (for Daniel Webster) under which the US Navy and the Royal Navy conducted patrols to intercept slave ships.

US Navy efforts to intercept slave ships actually dated back as far as 1820 when Congress passed the James Monroe Piracy Act. Importing slaves had already been banned under the Jefferson administration in 1807, but the Monroe Act equated the slave trade with piracy.

Any American who would “on any foreign shore, seize any negro or mulatto, not held to service or labour by the laws of either of the states or territories of the United States, with intent to make such negro or mulatto a slave, or shall decoy, or forcibly bring or carry, or shall receive, such negro or mulatto on board any such ship or vessel, with intent as aforesaid, such citizen or person shall be adjudged a pirate; and, on conviction thereof before the circuit court of the United States for the district wherein he may be brought or found, shall suffer death.”

Famous naval vessels including the USS Constitution, USS Constellation, and USS Yorktown hunted for and captured slave ships bringing slaves from Africa to this hemisphere. The Navy’s African Squadron cruising off the ‘Slave Coast’ and patrolling as far as Cuba managed to capture over a hundred slave ships.

But it was the British whose embargo of Dahomey and pressure on Brazil and Portugal proved especially effective in shutting down the slave trade. All those dead white men shut down the trade in slaves across the water. Later, the British imperialists fought to stop the land traffic in slaves through Egypt and to the Muslim Middle East. They were successful until the end of colonialism restored the old and new kinds of slave trade bringing cargoes of human beings from Africa and Asia to the Middle East where, as in brutal Islamic tyrannies like Qatar, they are worked to death much as they were before the dreaded days of European imperialism.

These are movies to be made and stories to be told about the British white men, long since dead, who put their lives on the line to stop the slave trade practiced by the heroic African feminist warriors of Dahomey. And those movies will never be made, because they don’t fit the narrative propounded by the 1619 Project and Ibram X. Kendi in which slavery was a European crime against Africa, rather than an Islamic and African tribal crime ended by Europeans.

Specifically, by the European imperialism and colonialism that liberals love to hate.

The scope of the African slave trade was massive. It encompassed much of human history and the known world. There were black slaves in China over a thousand years ago. The Middle East is dotted with large populations of former black slaves and in some cases current slaves. The American role in the slave trade was relatively brief in both historic scope and scale. It’s a sin, but it was certainly not, as Obama put it, our original sin. It was a crime that began in Africa.

Westerners did not invent slavery, but they did more than anyone else to put an end to it.

That’s a truth that cannot be told. And Hollywood would rather make movies celebrating slave traders, as long as they’re black women, than the dead white men who fought to end slavery.

Democrats still embrace their slavemaster roots

The party of slavery, segregation and the Klan now runs eco-slavery operations

Paul Driessen

History isn’t always quite what’s portrayed in popular culture or taught today in schools, especially regarding racial politics. Do your kids know the Republican Party was formed in 1854 to keep slavery out of new American territories? Or that for over a century Republicans battled Democrats who supported slavery and segregation, poll taxes, pre-vote “literacy” tests, Jim Crow and Ku Klux Klan terrorism?

Today, Democrats and their media, social media, teacher union, Black Lives Matter and “mostly peaceful” Antifa rioter allies advance 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory (CRT) claims that America was founded on racism and is still plagued by systemic racism – while hiding, whitewashing and rewriting the Democrat Party’s long, sordid role.

Commentators accurately observe, “This is not your parents’ Democrat Party.” Indeed. The Democrat Party now embraces some of the most radical, anti-Semitic, anti-Israel, anti-energy, America-bashing elements in American history. A favorite tactic is “greenwashing” policies with assertions that Democrats are “saving the Earth” from climate change and other purported environmental disasters.

Their power grabs recently led an African-American Democrat California Assemblyman to say these policies “systematically drive racial economic inequities and fuel environmental racism,” by constantly and repeatedly increasing energy costs for poor and minority families and businesses.

It’s not rocket science. Ban leasing, drilling, fracking, pipelines and coal use, as the Biden-Harris team is doing – and energy prices skyrocket as supplies dwindle. Since the 2020 election, crude oil prices have doubled, to over $80 a barrel, and US gasoline is up more than a dollar a gallon. Families that heat with natural gas could pay up to 50% more this winter than last year.

That’s still well below Europe’s Green Madness prices, but congressional Democrats continue to push “clean power” fantasies that would eradicate secure, reliable, affordable US energy – and the Biden-Harris Administration could unilaterally impose numerous equally destructive measures. And for what?

A recent study in Nature calculated that reducing US carbon dioxide emissions 95% by 2050 would have an annual price tag greater than what America spent in 2019 on Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid combined: nearly 12% of our Gross Domestic Product – $11,300 per person per year! Meanwhile, China, India and 100 other countries will continue using fossil fuels and emitting prodigious amounts of plant-fertilizing CO2. Net climate benefits? Somewhere in the neighborhood of 0.06 to 0.30 degrees F by 2100!

Moreover, this entire energy-and-climate-crisis charade is based on the assumption, the assertion that – after countless millions of years of natural climate change – every climate and weather fluctuation and aberration today is due to fossil fuels and greenhouse gas emissions. The Democrat ruling class and its government-funded “scientist” acolytes have models but no actual data or evidence to back up their claims.

But they don’t need any, because pressure groups, the media and academia endlessly repeat and validate their unfounded claims – and cancel, silence, deplatform and defund alternative viewpoints and evidence. Meanwhile, their corporate collaborators rake in billions in taxpayer subsidies and guaranteed loans.

Climate change is their ticket to controlling our livelihoods and living standards: they as our masters, we as their servants – with no accountability for their mistakes and lies, or the damage and death they cause.

Wags like Dave Chappelle would be banished if they suggested that the Master Race has devolved into the Master Party. But today’s Democrats are the most radical in Congressional and Executive Branch history. Egged on by even more radical activists, they truly think they’re smarter than the rest of us, and were ordained to rule us unwashed masses, employing all the powers of centralized government.

The way they see it, we and our states and communities must simply accept our new subservient status, our lost personal freedoms, our reduced living standards – and the overseas child and slave labor and environmental desecration that Green New Deal technologies are inflicting.

40,000 Congolese children as young as four already labor alongside their parents – for slave wages, under constant threats of cave-ins and exposure to toxic mud, dust and water – to mine the cobalt needed for electric vehicle and backup batteries. The ore is sent to China for processing in plants with equally abominable safety and pollution conditions.

Rare earth mining and processing in Inner Mongolia has destroyed agriculture, created a vast toxic dump, and brought life-threatening health issues to workers and residents. China also uses thousands of Uighur slave laborers to manufacture solar panels for sale to the US and EU.

John Kerry doesn’t think Uighur slavery should affect America’s climate strategy – and Democrat California legislators voted down a bill requiring that the state certify that electric vehicles sold there must be free of any materials or components involving child labor. Certification would cost too much and imperil state climate goals, they said.

Fair Trade and Fair Wages are vital for T-shirts, coffee and sneakers. But ignore them for Green Tech.

Green New Deal schemes would multiply these human rights abuses many times over. They would make the US dangerously dependent on an increasingly belligerent China for “green” metals and minerals.

Worse, Democrat overseer roots have metastasized into a global cancer that infects government programs, foreign aid and financial institutions, with often deadly results. It is eco-imperialismGreen power that brings widespread Black death.

People desperately seeking better health and lives in Africa, Asia and Latin America are told any US and Western help will be limited to what radical activists determine is ecological and climate friendly.

Improve your living standards, the Masters say, but only to degrees that can be supported by wind and solar power – not by fossil fuels, nuclear or even hydroelectric power. Our banks and other institutions will approve and finance only land-intensive, wildlife-killing, raw materials-hungry “renewable” energy.

Improve your agricultural productivity and crop yields – but only through agro-ecology. Modern herbicides, insecticides, fertilizers and even tractors must be banned. Stoop labor will reign supreme.

Reduce malaria and yellow fever – but only with bed nets and “integrated pest management.” Larvacides and insecticides, or DDT to keep mosquitoes out of homes for months with one spray – absolutely not.

Climate change will make summers hotter and winters colder; people will die. Wrong. With today’s housing and energy systems, people will do just fine – unless climate and energy policies take away their air conditioning and heating, ration them, make them unaffordable, or subject them to recurrent blackouts.

Americans “use too much” and “live too well,” they claim – so our overseers want to limit our homes to 640 square feet and “allow” us to fly on vacation or to see family only once every three years!

Bear in mind, all this is just the climate and energy cabal of the Democrat Master Party. Other equally loud, demanding, unaccountable elements want to defund the police, and disarm us as crime skyrockets. They’re indoctrinating our kids in CRT, gender fluidity, preferred pronouns, explicit sex, and far more.

Virginia gubernatorial candidate Terry McAuliffe doesn’t think parents should have a say in what schools teach. (The UN Human Rights Declaration specifically says “parents have a prior right to choose the kind of education that shall be given to their children.”) Attorney General Merrick Garland has a growing list of outspoken parents and other conservatives whom he and the National School Boards Association want investigated, harassed, prosecuted and even jailed as “domestic terrorists.” They embrace and impose seemingly endless totalitarian Covid mandates.

All this is why the 2021 Virginia elections are so critical: Glen Youngkin versus Terry McAuliffe, Winsome Sears vs. Hala Ayala for Lt. Governor, Jason Miyares vs. Mark Herring for AG, and dozens of senate and delegate seats. Other state elections two weeks hence are equally important. And the 2022 national elections will be a watershed moment in US history. Responsible voting is an absolute must.
