Blinken Pledges to Connect US Mayors to Globalist Ruling Order

“The world will be shaped increasingly by metropolitan values.”

By: Joe Schaeffer January 23, 2023 @ Liberty Nation News

Secretary of State Antony Blinken recently unveiled yet another plank in the Biden administration’s multi-leveled effort to normalize transnationalism in the sovereign United States. Blinken gave the keynote address at the US Conference of Mayors’ 91st Winter Meeting. Why would a secretary of state, whose duties are confined to the foreign policy field, need to speak to an audience of American mayors? It’s all about setting precedents and spreading the spirit of internationalism in towns throughout the nation.

“This marks the first time a Secretary of State has addressed the Conference and underscores the critical role mayors are playing on the international affairs stage,” the group noted in a news release before the speech.

Blinken Says UN is ‘Where It’s Actually Happening’

Blinken warmed to the task. His words reveal how the progressive ruling establishment sees the growth of mega-cities in the US to be an extremely valuable tool in imposing globalism upon a citizenry that has been traditionally skeptical of international governing bodies. “Public health, climate, supply chains, the future of technology, economic security – these are the issues that our diplomats, your diplomats, are working on day in and day out,” he said. “It’s what we mean when we talk about a foreign policy for the middle class. It’s what we mean when we say that the line between foreign and domestic policy is more blurred than it’s ever been.”

Note how Blinken casually throws in the strange idea of cities having foreign diplomats. Naturally, he emphasized climate change as a leading issue for urbanite envoys to pursue on the world stage, regardless of official US foreign policy.

“When Washington pulled back from the Paris Agreement [on climate change], it was America’s mayors and governors who stepped up,” he told the assembled mayors. “As the effects of climate change came to your doorsteps, you found the solutions to keep people safe, to transition to clean energy, to cut emissions, to conserve ecosystems. And you’ve worked with counterparts from around the world to share lessons and to raise one another’s ambitions.”

But Blinken was most direct when discussing the “global technology revolution.” He openly stated that Americans must accept having internationalist organizations such as the United Nations decide how technology will affect their lives:

“We need to make sure that critical and emerging technologies – and all of their applications, from artificial intelligence to biotechnology – actually protect our privacy, our security, our democracy, even as they usher in incredible opportunities in your communities here at home.

We’re forging new partnerships to bring our closest economic partners and fellow democracies together to try to shape, uphold, and promote common rules of the road to do just that. A lot of these rules get shaped in windowless conference rooms around the world, sometimes in the United Nations system. That’s where it’s actually happening. That’s where decisions are made that actually affect the way that everyone gets to use this technology.”

‘Connecting You With Multilateral Organizations’

Blinken announced that the State Department would be harnessed to help wed US cities to global ruling bodies. “And that’s why the State Department launched a new subnational diplomacy unit,” he declared. “With the subnational diplomacy unit, mayors now have an address at the State Department when they need help. The subnational team will also strengthen partnerships between America’s mayors and the world. US mayors are already leading in the global arena – last fall at COP27, where the Mayors’ Conference hosted sessions on climate migration, social justice, and financing.”

COP27 is the 2022 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.

“So we’re here to accelerate that engagement, to support it, including by connecting you with our partners beyond our borders, like fellow mayors, as well as national governments, businesses, multilateral organizations,” he told the audience. “Join us in initiatives like the Open Government Partnership,” he continued. “Sign onto the Global Mayors Declaration for Democracy to defend the rule of law, to empower our citizens, to help fight corruption.”

‘The World Will Be Shaped By Metropolitan Values’

Blinken’s astonishing address furthers a cause dear to cosmopolitan progressives such as multi-billionaire ex-New York City mayor Michael Bloomberg. As Liberty Nation noted in December 2019 while documenting his disastrous 2020 presidential run, Bloomberg sees mega-sized US cities operating on a supra-national level to be the ideal antidote to barbaric “America First” beliefs:

“The world’s first Metropolitan Generation is coming of age, and as a result, the world will be shaped increasingly by metropolitan values,” Bloomberg wrote in a 2015 article in Foreign Affairs magazine. “That is a hopeful development for humanity and an overpowering counterweight to the forces of repression and intolerance that arise out of religious fanaticism and that now pose a grave threat to the security of democratic nations.”

He didn’t stop there.

“As those in the Metropolitan Generation assume leadership positions, cities will become not just more culturally significant but also more politically powerful,” he added. “Influence will shift gradually away from national governments and toward cities.”

And now a Biden administration that has repeatedly shown its devotion to transnationalism is using the State Department to aid urban mayors in cementing its cherished “rules-based international order” at the local domestic level. Do Americans have the faintest idea of how their ever-growing cities are being cultivated to destroy their national existence?

Blinken: Iran has plotted to assassinate Pompeo, other top US officials while negotiating nuke deal

While U.S. work to deter assassination threats, American negotiators remain at the table in Vienna to work towards a deal.

Secretary of State Antony Blinken indicated this week that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard Corps continues to plot the assassination of both current and former top United States officials while talks regarding the Iran nuclear deal are still underway. Blinken made the comments during his Senate Foreign Relations Committee testimony when Texas GOP Sen. Ted Cruz asked if it’s “true that the IRGC is actively trying to murder former senior officials of the U.S.?" Blinken responded that "there is an ongoing threat against American officials both present and past."

He reportedly said Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, under the previous Trump administration, has and continues to be a target. In March, members of the IRGC were reported to be plotting the assassination of former National Security Advisor John Bolton even while American and Iranian diplomats mingled in Vienna. Secretary Blinken’s comments were first to suggest that currently U.S. officials are also being threatened..........To Read More.....

The Pick of the Left's Litter

November 7, 2021 By Rick Fuentes

The cascade of unforced domestic and international policy errors of the current administration, each more damaging to our economic well-being and national security than any fabricated misstep of the Trump presidency, has not dissuaded most Republican senators from allowing radical ideologues to assume positions of power. Juxtapose that to the mistreatment of Trump nominees, when Democrats flashed a middle finger across the aisle at those who had previously anointed the way for Obama’s cabinet picks.

In the catbird seat, Biden seems more a cat’s paw president, a career politician who upended mathematics and political history by winning more votes than voters after a bumbling basement campaign that sparked little public interest.  He has brought both sympathy and worrisome attention to the cognitive plight of the elderly.  Reflexively, he rubber-stamps executive orders that appear out of nowhere and level a wrecking ball at the American economy.  Without White House meddling, the legacy economy would have sailed out of the COVID storm.  Instead, the concurrence of inoculation mandates, supply gridlock, needless energy dependency, putting the unvaxxed labor force on the breadline, and government alms that encourage unemployment in a favorable job market papered over with Help Wanted signs, all have the economy circling the drain.

Biden is most troublesome when he wanders away from the teleprompter and the country.  Recently, he jetted off to Glasgow with an entourage of 13 cabinet members and hundreds of staffers.  Along the way, he took a convoy of gas guzzlers to the See of Rome to charm the papacy with his devoutness to climate change. Biden was blessed to feast on the Lord’s host, a sure sign that Marxist kinship trumps the sanctity of life and values expected of all good Catholics...........To Read More....

Could Common Sense Yet Prevail Over Biden’s Plan for Taxing and Spending?

By , Special to the Sun | September 14, 2021

My overall take on the reconciliation information coming out of the House is simple: Go woke, go broke, and this whole reckless tax and spend and regulate plan will inflict great damage on the blue collar, middle-class workforce, jobs, wages, and prosperity. Great damage.

I love it today when Secretary Blinken blamed President Trump’s conditional Afghan withdrawal plan for the catastrophe executed by the Biden administration. Love that. Let me get this right — they were absolutely bound and hand-cuffed to Mr. Trump’s plans.

Yet wait a minute, the Democrats have religiously, obsessively, derangedly overturned every Trump policy. They overturned his tax cuts, his regulatory reduction, his energy independence, his support for Israel, his Iranian hostility, his border policies on security and immigration, his policies towards police, recidivist crime, among other things.

Are we supposed to believe that Mr. Biden’s Trump Derangement Syndrome forced him to follow Mr. Trump's Afghan withdrawal policies? Which, by the way, were conditioned and gated in a number of areas that were never fulfilled. The former president himself said he would have taken fierce combat action against the terrorist Taliban if they acted out as they did in breaking his deal during the Biden evacuation.........To Read More......

Blinken and Austin head to Gulf and Europe on damage limitation trips

by Emily Brooks, Political Reporter | September 06, 2021

Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin and Secretary of State Antony Blinken set off on separate overseas trips starting in the Persian Gulf to thank allies for assistance in Afghanistan withdrawal efforts after a chaotic and deadly several weeks.

Blinken landed in Doha, Qatar, on Monday, where several diplomatic exchanges with the Taliban have taken place in recent years and where diplomatic operations serving Afghanistan have been based since the United States closed its embassy in Kabul, Afghanistan................. With the trips, Binken and Austin aim to reassure allies in the Gulf and Europe that the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan does not mean a U.S. abandonment of working with partners to combat extremist threats in the region..........To Read More....

My Take - Apparently they haven't gotten the memo.  "That door is closed" and no amount of clabber from incompetent ideologues like Austin, Blinken, Milley and Biden is going to change that because you are what you do, not what you say.

Jen Psaki may be able spew their leftist propaganda and the main stream media will eat it up, but in the real world leaders have to make real decisions that impact their nations.

No matter what they may say publicly, they're going to act in what they believe is in their nations best interests, and the Biden administration's actions tell the story.  He and his gang of misfits are incompetent and corrupt anti-American leftist ideologues who've clearly demonstrated they're not to be believed and not to be trusted.

If a President of the United States is willing to sell out his own nation, why would they believe he won't sell them out?

Articles of Impeachment Introduced Against Secretary of State

There was great hesitation from the Republican members of Congress when they were deciding whether or not to approve the nomination of Antony Blinken for Secretary of State.  Now, it's become very apparent as to why they were so hesitant. He's utterly incompetent.  Time's up for Blinken as the Republican members of the House of Representatives have introduced articles of impeachment against Blinken.  Representatives Andy Harris and Ralph Norman are putting much of the blame on Blinken for the loss of lives in Kabul, even though Little Joey B said that the buck stops with him.

The articles of impeachment single out the State Department for promising in April that the American Embassy in Kabul could be kept open and operational for more than 1,400 American citizens in Afghanistan after U.S. troops completed their planned withdrawal, and then failing to keep that promise.

"Secretary Blinken has failed to faithfully uphold his oath and has instead presided over a reckless abandonment of our nation's interests, security, and values in his role in the withdrawal of American forces and diplomatic assets from Afghanistan," the articles of impeachment state...............To Read More.....

Secretary of State Blinken is setting us up for paying reparations

Secretary of State Antony Blinken is neither naïve nor stupid. So why did he invite United Nations officials to investigate systemic racism in the United States? It cannot be for the sophomoric reason he stated:

“Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record; rather, they should acknowledge it with the intent to improve.”

It is the responsibility of the American people and their elected representative, not the UN, to examine and improve, if needed, the human rights record of the US. An April 2021  polls shows that nearly  two-thirds of Americans and 90% of Republicans oppose the idea of providing reparations to the descendants of slaves, according  to the results of a nationwide University of Massachusetts Amherst/WCVB poll. So the Administration is seeking ways to affect the public’s views: bring in the UN and supposedly world opinion.

The State Department invitation for an official visit, issued on July 13, was to the UN Special Rapporteur on contemporary forms of racism and the UN Special Rapporteur on minority issues. The State Department plans to  issue invitations to other UN experts who “report and advise on thematic human rights issues.”

These other “experts” are the members of the UN Human Rights Council. Secretary Blinken welcomed the UN Human Rights Council’s adoption of a resolution on July 13 that calls for  action to combat systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the context of law enforcement........To Read More...

Binken also welcomed "the UN Human Rights Council's adoption of a resolution that calls for action to combat systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the context of law enforcement."
  •  Haley: Rejoining UN’s Council of ‘Genocidal Maniacs,’ Thugs and Dictators Sends ‘Worst Possible Signal’ - By Patrick Goodenough | July 19, 2021 - The U.N. Human Rights Council is “a who’s who of genocidal maniacs, murderous thugs and tinpot dictators,” and the Biden administration was sending “the worst possible signal” by rejoining it, former U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said on Sunday. Haley, who oversaw the Trump administration’s withdrawal from the Human Rights Council, told the Christians United for Israel 2021 summit that the Geneva-based body’s obsessive focus on Israel was “the height of hypocrisy and insanity, and it shows how broken the council really is.”

July 14, 2021 Blinken invites UN racism investigators to inspect the U.S. By Monica Showalter Joe Biden's secretary of state, Tony Blinken, has invited the United Nations's racism investigators to come inspect the U.S. According to Reuters: The U.S. State Depart

Joe Biden's secretary of state, Tony Blinken, has invited the United Nations's racism investigators to come inspect the U.S.  According to Reuters:

The U.S. State Department has invited U.N. experts who investigate racism and minority issues to conduct an official visit to the United States, Secretary of State Antony Blinken said on Tuesday.

"Responsible nations must not shrink from scrutiny of their human rights record; rather, they should acknowledge it with the intent to improve," Blinken said in a statement.

"I urge all U.N. member states to join the United States in this effort, and confront the scourge of racism, racial discrimination, and xenophobia," he said.

Blinken said the United States welcomed the U.N. Human Rights Council's adoption on Tuesday of a resolution to address systemic racism against Africans and people of African descent in the context of law enforcement.

That'll fix 'er. They'll get to the bottom of all this systemic racism in the U.S. and hold up America's sins for all to see. We can't do this ourselves. So, Blinken's called the United Nations in.  None of these members of the vaunted United Nations Human Rights Council involved in this resolution that led to this "inspection" would have an agenda, would they? Who are their members?

According to the UN, they're:

Bolivia, China, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, France, Gabon, Malawi, Mexico, Nepal, Pakistan, Russian Federation, Senegal, Ukraine, United Kingdom and Uzbekistan.

Who better to judge us than communist Cuba? Let's have China weigh in on U.S. human rights. Pakistan will judge the U.S. best. So will Russia. Just ask the Cubans protesting in the streets and waving the American flag about the communist Cuban government. Just ask the Hong Kongers about China's record on human rights. Or the Uighurs, who are in Chinese concentration camps for having the wrong race and religion.

According to Blinken, these nations he's inviting in to judge us have only the purest of intentions........To Read More.....
