Knowing that major news outlet Fox News has a habit of promoting questionable polls on President Donald Trump, Canada Free Press (CFP) decided to take a closer look at their latest one: ‘Nearly half of Americans think Trump should suspend 2024 campaign after indictment: poll April 10, 2023’.
This particular poll, an ABC News/Ipsos one claiming that nearly half of Americans think Trump should suspend his 2024 campaign after the last week DA Alvin Bragg’s indictment—polled only 566 people. So 566 people is their version of “nearly half of the 300-million American population? “Many” does not come close to “more than half” of Americans
How’s that for Fake News! To be perfectly clear the poll is an ABC News/ Ipsos one—but Fox News promoted it on their front page. “As former President Donald Trump
ramps up his 2024 presidential campaign, new polling reveals that while
more than half of Americans believe he intentionally did something
illegal after his indictment, many believe it was politically
