Trump/Bragg Saga

There are some great articles here, but the one I like best is J.R. Dunn's Bragg vs. the Windmills, where he notes for two years Trump has been telling America the left is really after them, and he's just standing in the way.  Now with what is clearly a political persecution Bragg is calling a prosecution, America believes it, and now Trump is ascendant, and Bragg is now the target.  They went after a man who thrives on confrontation, and wins over and over again, and the reason why, as Dunn makes clear:

1. American Left is fundamentally stupid
2. American leftists have a thickheadedness all their own.
3. They think only in terms of slogans. 
4. They can’t read or understand the historical record
5. They can’t come up with any kind of rational program. 
6. They almost always wind up sabotaging themselves. 
7. They are their own worst enemies.
8. Can't define reality.

Bragg and his leftist minions have turned belief into crimes, all operating under the same principle as Lavrentiy Beria, Stalin's ruthless secret police chief who made it clear it didn't matter to him if someone was innocent or not, bragging, "Show me the man and I’ll show you the crime".  

But this isn't the Soviet Union.  It's the United States of America, and as badly as the federal judiciary has corrupt the simple and understandable text of the Constitution with nonsense such as emanations and penumbras, which is an open invitation by activist judges to twist and malform the law, in effect, making the federal judiciary a real but illegitimate legislature, the fact remains they can only get away with this for so long.  

The people of America will wake up and put in a Congress that will put them in their place, because the Constitution give the Congress the power to decide the jurisdiction of the federal judiciary,  not the judiciary.

(Official White House photo by Tia Dufour) Alvin Bragg, the Manhattan district attorney who assembled a 34-count case against President Trump that top legal experts have described as nothing but a political attack, now wants to make sure no one interferes with his claims. Especially Congress. Bragg's case essentially is based on claims of misdemeanor bookkeeping problems for which the statute of limitations has expired. But he claims they're felonies, and still can be prosecuted, because they somehow contributed to the furtherance of other crimes, which he has not specified.

Trump at the Gates. April 12, 2023 By J. Robert Smith - A few days ago, we heard from William Barr, D.C. lifer, former attorney general of the United States, and elections savant.  Barr made a prediction about Trump’s fate, via Fox News and the Murdochs, who hate the former president with a passion.  Or, at least, Fox board member and quisling, Paul Ryan, does.  How outsized Ryan’s influence is on the Murdochs is anyone’s guess.  Or, since Ryan is so spineless, maybe it’s the other way around.    Bill Barr is less a savant than a channeler of D.C. conventional wisdom.  Here’s Barr parroting his D.C. chums, from Fox News, April 9: "I think ultimately the savvy Democratic strategists know [the Manhattan District Attorney's Office probe] is going to help Trump, and they want him to be the nominee because he is the weakest of the Republican candidates, the most likely to lose again to Biden," Barr said on ABC's "This Week" on Sunday.   Where to start unpacking Barr’s stupidity? Or rather D.C.’s stupidity, which abounds.  D.C. is an echo chamber and all they do is talk among themselves and run with whatever line emerges...............  

 

Alvin Bragg's Office Offers Stunning Gaslighting on NYC Crime Stats Ahead of Next Week's Hearing,  April 11, 2023Rebecca Downs -  Someone should tell Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg to look in the mirror, when it comes to how the George Soros-backed woke prosecutor is clearly looking to make a name for himself. On Monday, as Julio had reported, Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) tweeted that the House Judiciary Committee, which he chairs, would be holding a hearing in New York City to look into the rise of violent crime in New York City. On Tuesday, as Spencer covered, Bragg announced that he was suing Jordan............As former law clerk Mike Davis highlighted, the lawsuit is already off to a bad start..............It is particularly rich that Bragg's office would claim that House Republicans are the ones engaging in "a political stunt" when it comes to the hearing..............And let's not pretend that New York City is some crime-free paradise. The New York Post in particular had been sounding the alarm for years about crime and Bragg, but even The New York Times provided some acknowledgment as well. "Major Crimes Rose 22 Percent in New York City, Even as Shootings Fell," read a headline from January 5...............when it comes to the 30 cities with the highest homicide rates as of June 2022:  Not surprisingly, of those 30 cities, 27 have Democratic mayors, the exceptions being Lexington and Jacksonville, which have Republican mayors, and Las Vegas, whose mayor is an Independent. And within those 30 cities there are at least 14 Soros-backed or Soros-inspired rogue prosecutors.Those Soros bought-and-paid-for or inspired rogue prosecutors include................

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg asked a federal judge Tuesday to block a House Judiciary Committee subpoena that seeks information on his office’s investigation into former President Donald Trump.Bragg also asks the judge to preemptively block any further subpoenas for him or his employees from the committee helmed by Ohio Republican Rep. Analyst confirms Bragg likely violated 6th Amendment with Trump indictment, By Bob Unru April 6, 2023-  Former President Donald Trump appears in court at the Manhattan Criminal Court in New York City on Tuesday. As the media scrum fades and the facts start to emerge following Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg's cryptic indictment of President Donald Trump on bookkeeping charges this week, analysts have raised the charge that he violated the U.S. Constitution with his political agenda against the likely GOP candidate for president in 2024. A report from Fox News explains it involves the 6th Amendment, which requires that any criminal defendant be told of the accusation against him.  Fox documented that the amendment provides for a defendant to "be informed of the nature and cause of the accusation; to be confronted with the witnesses against him; to have compulsory process for obtaining witnesses in his favor…"  However, Bragg's indictment left most of the details of what he's charged Trump with obscure and cloudy........

 

Bragg vs. the Windmills, April 14, 2023 By J.R. Dunn - It has always been my contention, drawn from long experience along with wide reading, that the American Left is fundamentally stupid. This is both in a general and particular sense. You have to be a little dense – more than a little – to accept left-wing ideas in the first place. But even among the Left in general, American leftists have a thickheadedness all their own. European leftists have often been true intellectuals – people who do the reading, who are open to debate, who believe in ideas. But American lefties are simply punks. They think only in terms of slogans. They can’t reconcile experience and ideas. They can’t read or understand the historical record, or even grasp why it has any connection to the current situation – which strongly argues for a lack of understanding of simple cause and effect. They can’t come up with any kind of rational program. They almost always wind up sabotaging themselves. They are their own worst enemies.  Which brings us to Alvin Bragg, the dumbest attorney in the United States of America............

Polls show that 60 percent of Americans believe it to be the case, including 70 percent of independent voters, and even 30 percent of Democrats.  Bragg has so far failed to reveal any legal merit to his prosecution, especially since he bumped the charges from misdemeanors to felonies. Incidentally, his tenure as district attorney has been marred with a staggering 22 percent increase in crime, partly due to his decision to downgrade 52 percent of felony charges to misdemeanors.................
