It's March 23, 1775. Patrick Henry just issued his historic call to arms before the Virginia House of Burgesses. His words spread through the Colonies like wildfire. Men take up their muskets. An ocean away, a tyrant trembles.
This is the essential freedom of speech America's founders guaranteed to all.
It's 2019. Americans bypass the establishment media (followers of the king) and share Henry's words on social media. They go viral, or would have, had algorithms written by 25-year-olds (indoctrinated in college to defend the prevailing orthodoxy), not kicked in and throttled Henry down. His words pass not with a bang, but a whimper. The tyrant rests easy. Maybe retaliates.
President Trump held a "social media summit" to discuss the critical importance of keeping today's high tech public square free and open to all.
Trump praised organizations like CFACT which "challenge the media gatekeepers and the corporate censors to bring the facts straight to the American people...You communicate directly with our citizens without having to go through the fake news filter."

The big-tech sponsored Ted Talks emailed a group in Holland after a forum featuring climate skeptic Marcel Crok, "the ultimate consequence could be that they would lose their TEDx license."

The closer America comes to our next national election, the stronger the pressure will be to block Americans from using social media to bypass the prevailing P.C. left-wing orthodoxy.
Facts are powerful. They must sink or swim challenged by an ocean of free speech and thought.
Orwellian attempts to ensure only one side be allowed to speak must not be permitted to succeed.
