Stephen Moore bullied into withdrawing from Federal Reserve nomination by gutter journalists at NYT, WaPo and CNN

May 3, 2019 By Thomas Lifson

Whatever you think of the merits of having Stephen Moore on the board of the Federal Reserve (and I think he would have been great), he has withdrawn his name from consideration. The reason has nothing to do with an examination of his views on the economy and everything to do with personal attacks. Jokes that he wrote or told long ago are being judged by the current standards of #MeToo humorless prudery, but probably even more relevant was what he disclosed to Tucker Carlson last night (go to 1:55 on the video below where he reveals that the New York Times, Washington Post, and CNN all got his ten year old divorce proceedings unsealed. Note that the entire interview is worth watching and raises other important points.).......... Read more

My Take - Please be sure to watch the video.  I've met Stephan Moore and I'm completely impressed with them. He's a really decent person.  It amazes me how the left functions.  During the Clinton years when it was being reported that Clinton fooled around with a young female staffer, raped a woman, and sexually harassed who knows how many others, that "character doesn't count".  And it was said with a smug, self righteous, looking down their nose smirk at the provincials.  There's a couple of things the left has been consistent in however.  They don't care about facts and they don't understand consistency, and the reason why is they have no moral foundation other than getting and holding power over the lives of others.  In short, they're animals.

I'm truly sorry this has happened to someone we need on the FED.
