Browns’ Anthem Protest Gets Nasty Backlash from First Responders

The nonsensical actions of former NFL quarterback Colin Kaepernick have yet to disappear over the American horizon, and Cleveland’s first responders are not thrilled. Kaepernick became a household name last season, not for his abysmal play on the field, but for his ability to usurp his own dignity to take a cheap shot at the nation’s law enforcement professionals. The once-competent quarterback began a trendy, anti-American movement by refusing to stand for the national anthem during his time with the San Francisco 49er’s, a move that was soon emulated by a number of players within the league who too were hoping for 15 minutes of fame.
