Media Picks a Fight With Trump Over South Africa – Big Mistake

When the left-wing press insists something isn’t happening, it’s happening.

The establishment media has gotten itself into another fine mess, as the late, great Oliver Hardy would have put it. And, once again, it is destined for humiliation at the hands of President Donald Trump. On May 21, he hosted Cyril Ramaphosa, the president of South Africa, at the White House. This meeting came on the heels of 59 Afrikaners arriving in the United States – white South Africans of primarily Dutch descent who chose to flee a regime that is openly hostile toward them.

At one point during the encounter between the two leaders, Trump made his South African counterpart watch a video of a black South African politician, at a packed outdoor rally, inciting the murder of white farmers.

The US leftist media was not happy, but they have already picked out the paint and chosen the corner into which they will paint themselves – again. As if any more proof were needed that there is no independent journalism on the left and that these media outfits all draw from the same progressive talking points, the rebukes were swift and all but identical.

Trump’s claim that the white farmers of South Africa are the victims of genocide was attacked by much of the left-wing legacy media as “unfounded,” “false,” “unsubstantiated,” etc.

The New York Times and ABC News, in particular, took a drubbing on the X social media platform. Their attempts to deny the existence of a deadly situation for which the evidence is copious and beyond rational dispute drew much scorn and ridicule.

Reality in South Africa

The Encyclopedia Britannica defines genocide as “the deliberate and systematic destruction of a group of people because of their ethnicity, nationality, religion, or race.” Whether what has been happening in South Africa can be called genocide, then, is a matter of perspective. Race is not the only factor driving the undeniable victimization of Afrikaner farmers – but it is a factor. That’s hard to deny, given the videos of hundreds of black rallygoers chanting “kill the white farmer.”

The former African National Congress (ANC) leader and president of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, once sang, “Shoot the Farmer, Kill the Boer” at a party rally, even though the song was officially banned. Boer means farmer, but only white South Africans call themselves – or are known as – Boers.

It should be noted that South Africa’s ruling Marxist ANC doesn’t allow unsanctioned rallies. If a huge crowd of people is whipped into a frenzy and chanting for the death of certain people, then the ANC has given that event at least tacit approval.

In 2017, the Australian website news.com.au published the story of Sue Howarth and her husband, Robert Lynn. They had a farm in Dullstroom, South Africa. One night, their home was invaded by three black men who tortured them for hours – partly with a blowtorch – before driving them out to the side of the road and shooting them. Somehow, Howarth survived and was found the next day by passers-by. However, she died in the hospital from her injuries.

This is just one of a great many similar attacks. The news report noted, “Nearly every day, horrific acts of rape, torture and murder are carried out on a community under siege.” The story also cited figures from the Transvaal Agricultural Union (TAU) and AfriForum, a civil rights group. “In total, between 1998 and the end of 2016, 1,848 people have been murdered in farm attacks — 1,187 farmers, 490 family members, 147 farm employees, and 24 people who happened to be visiting the farm at the time.”

Not All Black and White

At the same time, there’s no all-out race war being waged in South Africa, which would justify the term “genocide.” The government isn’t openly killing whites, and there are in fact some minority political parties with white members of the government. Whites make up around 7% of the population. Most are descended from the Dutch, who began settling in what is now South Africa in the mid-1600s. Their language, Afrikaans, is predominantly a Germanic language, a form of Dutch but with its own characteristics.

It is also worth considering the overall crime rate. After the ruling white National Party ended the system of apartheid and ceded power to the ANC, South Africa – by far the most stable and prosperous country in sub-Saharan Africa – rapidly descended into chaos and poverty. For nearly three decades now, South Africa has been one of the most dangerous countries in the world.

Trump’s claims, then, may need some context, but they are neither false nor unfounded. White farmers are indeed the targets of systematic violence, whether one calls it genocide or not. The media has chosen to downplay the many lethal assaults on white farmers as merely a part of South Africa’s out-of-control crime wave.

Yet, the statistics – never mind the homicidal threats by South Africa’s black government-approved activist community – point to the deliberate targeting of white-owned farms. TAU spokesman Henk van de Graaf in 2016 told Swedish newspaper Nya Tider, “The average murder ratio per 100,000 of the population in the world is nine, I believe. In South Africa, it is 54. But for the farming community it is 138, which is the highest for any occupation in the world.”

Media Opens Pandora’s Box

America’s legacy media is battered and bruised and, figuratively, near death after a brutal few years. Promoting stories that turned out to be hoaxes while refuting an almost countless number of claims that were eventually verified has taken its toll.

Give Cable TV the Boot – Check This Out!

This was not the hill anti-Trump editorial boards should have chosen to die on. The president has now shone a spotlight on South Africa. While the so-called mainstream media will not investigate the plight of the Afrikaners, others no doubt will. The more they dig, the more apparent it will become that the South African regime is allowing, or at least ignoring, an ongoing murderous campaign in which whites are the victims and blacks the aggressors. That’s not something the American left wants people to hear.

The cacophony of indignation over Trump’s remarks about South Africa was too swift, too loud, and too orchestrated. Now, a lot more people are going to be taking an interest in something about which the leftist media would rather Americans knew nothing.

That corner seems to be getting smaller and more uncomfortable – and that paint isn’t drying anytime soon.

Black South Africans rediscover the blood lust of an old song

“Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer” is not a new song. It’s been kicking around South Africa for more than a decade. What is new, though, is the frenzy with which tens of thousands are seen singing it. When you combine this with a rapidly collapsing infrastructure and an uptick in violent attacks on white farmers, it’s not hard to predict that South Africa will soon explode in a genocidal fury before lapsing into complete dysfunction.

When the old apartheid government in South Africa ended in the early 1990s, all decent people saw that as a good thing. Apartheid discriminated against blacks while a much smaller number of whites (descendants of Dutch and English settlers) experienced freedom and prosperity. After Less Than Three Decades of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion, Africa’s Richest City Has Turned Into a “Crumbling Hellscape”

Not too long ago, Johannesburg, the capital city of South Africa, was a wealthy, vibrant and beautiful place – an economic gem and the pride of the vast African landscape. Today, however, the city has descended into a "crumbling hellscape" due to the imposition of diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) politics.  DEI, by the way, is code for anti-white racism. Wherever it rears its ugly head, white people end up being mistreated – or in the case of Johannesburg, driven out of the city entirely because it is no longer safe to be white while living there.

According to reports, Johannesburg saw a mass exodus of white people beginning in the 1990s and running through the early 2000s. Escalating violence, rampant anti-white racism, and limited employment opportunities for white people resulted in the once-successful city becoming a toxic, crime-ridden cesspool.

"This once vibrant city, built on a foundation of wealth, has transformed into a bleak wasteland reminiscent of the novel 'Lord of the Flies,' overrun by chaos, violence, and despair," reports Revolver – check out the below video to see for yourself what has happened to Johannesburg:...........

America: If you don't stop the DEI and CRT takeover, your country will look just like Johannesburg..........  Technically the first entire country to be rebuilt based on so-called "Critical Race Theory" (CRT) ideals – CRT is similar to DEI in that it is basically anti-white racism under another name – South Africa has declined to such a degree that it no longer even resembles what it once was. 

The United States is another country currently in the crosshairs of the DEI and CRT agenda, bringing with it similar chaos and destruction the more these concepts become embedded into everyday life. "South Africa did everything that is being done in America right now," Revolver warned, noting that it starts with rioting and looting of the kind that became normalized in America after the George Floyd psy-op. "As a hyperdiverse multiethnic, multilingual society, South Africa has followed almost every prescription embraced by the globalist ruling class." "This is about more than riots. 

This wave of violence will eventually peter out. But there is no reason to be optimistic when that happens. There will be no sense of having survived a calamity, and having a chance to rebuild. When this wave of burning and looting and killing are over, there is nothing to look forward to but the next wave." 

Some were hopeful that things might turn around in Africa after it hosted the World Cup in 2010, but that hope has been dashed the more the country has declined. South Africa is now stricken with failing water infrastructure, widespread government corruption, and out-of-control crime – with no end in sight. "In the meantime, Johannesburg has fallen thanks to CRT and DEI,".................. "It's nearly impossible to live normally, let alone run a business; power outages can last upwards of ten hours a day in the city." Anti-white racism is destroying cities, states and even entire countries.........

South Africa And The Green Energy Wall

It’s obvious to any person with the faculty of critical thinking that intermittent renewable “green” energy will never work to power a modern economy. So as various U.S. states and foreign countries press forward on their crash programs to go fully “green” with their electricity generation, the next obvious question immediately arises: who will be first to hit the green energy “wall”? That is, which state or country will be the first to find that without enough reliable generation its electricity system no longer works? And how will that impact the population?

In previous posts I have examined the progress toward energy disaster of various wealthy jurisdictions that have embarked on this supposed transition to renewable electricity. For example, here is a December 17, 2021 post titled “Which Country Or U.S. State Will Be The First To Hit The Renewable Energy Wall?” That post focused on California and Germany. My March 15, 2023 post, “Countdown To New York’s Rendezvous With Energy Impossibility,” considered New York as another candidate for the first to hit the wall.

But let’s now look at South Africa. South Africa is one of the wealthiest countries in Sub-Saharan Africa, which is not saying much. The World Bank gives its per capita GDP as about $7000 for 2021. (For comparison, the U.S. per capita GDP is around $70,000. while wealthier European countries like Germany, the UK and France have per capita GDP in the range of about $40,000 - $50,000.).

Unlike wealthy Western countries, South Africa is far from completely developed, and has never achieved a fully-built-out electrical grid. The country has a legacy electricity infrastructure, almost entirely based on coal generation, dating from prior to the accession to power of the ANC in 1994. But South Africa needs a big increase in its electricity supply to become a fully-developed economy. Its population has grown rapidly (from about 43 million in 1994 to 60 million today). Meanwhile its electric utility, Eskom, is heavily indebted with little further ability to raise private capital. Thus the country substantially relies on Western aid to support and expand its supply of electricity. As an example of what is occurring in the realm of Western aid for electricity infrastructure, the World Bank stopped financing coal power plants in 2013 and stopped financing oil and gas extraction projects in 2017.

And thus South Africa has become a mostly-willing guinea pig for the green dreams of Western elites. According to Climate Home News from September 19, 2020, the South African government put out a so-called Integrated Resources Plan in 2019 “outlin[ing] a transition from polluting coal generation to renewable sources like solar and wind.” In September 2020, according to the same CHN piece, “the South African cabinet . . . approved a goal to reduce greenhouse gas emissions to net zero by 2050.” South African President Cyril Ramaphosa is on record on multiple occasions over the past several years as supporting a Net Zero transition for his country.

On the ground in electricity generation in South Africa, here’s what I can learn. The New York Times reports on March 14, 2023 that over the past decade plus, since the wind/solar fad took hold, the country’s coal power plants have been allowed to become “dilapidated” due to poor maintenance and disinvestment. Meanwhile, the focus going back as far as the turn of the century has moved to developing wind and solar resources to provide electricity. A December 2021 piece from the Alexandria Engineering Journal provides a comprehensive overview of the growth in renewables in South Africa. The initial demonstration wind project was constructed by Eskom in 2002. Here is the lengthy list of wind projects subsequently completed:

Nor has South Africa lagged in the march to solar energy. From the same piece in the Alexandria Engineering Journal, here is a list of solar projects (for some reason not including the years, but they are almost entirely post-2010):

So surely by now the wind and sun must be providing the abundant and nearly-free electricity for all? Hardly. Here is a pie graph of the current electricity generation mix, stated to be based on data from the UN’s International Energy Agency:

Yes, after all of that effort, the wind generation is up to a full 2% of South Africa’s electricity, and solar 1%. And, from CNN, January 18:

South Africans have endured power cuts for years but 2022 was the worst on record with 205 days of rolling blackouts, as aging coal-fired power plants broke down and state-owned power utility Eskom struggled to find the money to buy diesel for emergency generators. So far this year, there have been outages every day. The situation worsened again last week when Eskom said it would implement more cuts because of breakdowns at 11 coal-fired generating units.

According to CNN, any individual home or business is getting hit with about 12 hours a day without power, generally coming in increments of about 4 hours at a time, and often without notice. It’s disgusting to watch what the self-important international functionaries are doing to this poor country. But at least we’re learning what the green energy “wall” looks like in practice.

UPDATE, April 26, 2023: Here are a couple of useful addenda that I came across in the process of research for this post.

First, from Energy News Report, November 21, 2022:

The World Bank has approved $497 million in loans and other assistance to finance decommissioning and repurposing of one of the world’s largest coal-fired power plants—the 1,000-MW Komati facility in South Africa that is owned by its largest public power utility, Eskom. The Komati plant, permanently shut down in October, will be repurposed for 220 MW of renewable energy, including a 150-MW solar photovoltaics facility, 70 MW of wind power generation and150 MW of onsite storage batteries, “which together will help to improve the quality of electricity supply and grid stability” said the bank.

And second, from Macrotrends, South Africa GDP per capita, 1960-2021:

Funny how all that “free” electricity and near-daily blackouts don’t lead to rapidly increasing per capita GDP. Instead, it’s the further impoverishment of already-poor people.

After Billions in US Aid, South Africa Sides With China

In November 2022, Climate Envoy John Kerry announced a giveaway of $1 billion in foreign aid to South Africa. The failed racist state which regularly suffers blackouts from its socialist power system was being offered billions to subsidize electric cars and green energy.

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen claimed that “President Ramaphosa and the South African Government have created a bold plan identifying a clear strategy for achieving South Africa’s most ambitious climate targets.”

In reward for that $1 billion and the billions in foreign aid dispensed over the years, South Africa is conducting joint military exercises with China and Russia.

The Biden administration had little to say except that it was “concerned”, but wasn’t about to tear up that $1 billion check to make sure that a crime-ridden country with $500 million in car thefts a year has all the electric cars its car thieves need to steal and resell.

Naledi Pandor, the African National Congress’ Foreign Minister, a Muslim convert, claimed that it was just “an exercise with friends” and that objecting to her government’s decision to conduct military exercises with China and Russia was an “abuse of international practice.”

The ANC government has the right to conduct joint military exercises with our enemies. And we have the right to stop funding the corrupt ANC Communist party destroying the country.

The United States provided over $500 million in aid to South Africa last year. In 2020, we delivered over $600 million. That’s part of over $3.5 billion in the last decade.

What have we gotten in exchange for that?

In 2018, then UN Ambassador Nikki Haley commissioned a report which noted that South Africa was among the countries least likely to vote with the United States. That put the ANC government in a club with Cuba, Iran, Zimbabwe, North Korea and Venezuela. Almost all of the countries on the list were America’s sworn enemies. That was not a coincidence.

There were suggestions that the United States might condition foreign aid on support at the UN. Aid to South Africa did fall from $386 million to $271 million before shooting up again in 2020.

Biden’s billion dollar giveaway to the ANC regime more than makes up for any brief shortfall.

South Africa’s ANC government views us as an enemy while we continue to view the country and its government as some sort of success story.

In America, pictures of Nelson Mandela decorate billboards and the relationship between Nelson and Winnie Mandela was made into a movie, ‘Winnie Mandela’, despite her role in murdering Stompie Moeketsi Seipei, a 14-year-old boy, in a failed effort to get him to make a false accusation of molestation against a white Methodist minister fighting Apartheid.

Mandela, a Communist terrorist mythologized into a plaster saint, was succeeded by Thabo Mbeki who claimed that AIDS was caused by malnutrition and who began the country’s blackouts, who was succeeded by Jacob Zuma, who was accused of raping an HIV-positive woman before taking a shower to get rid of the virus, who was succeeded by Ramaphosa.

The State Department claims that “South Africa has made notable strides toward building an inclusive democracy that provides increased opportunity for its people.” Not remotely true.

A fifth of adults in South Africa are HIV positive. More than half the country is living in a state of poverty. 74 people were murdered every day making for one of the highest murder rates in the world. Blackouts are constant with more days of blackouts than not over the course of a year.

All of this is the legacy of the African National Congress. Apartheid ended over three decades ago. The ANC has burned through the country’s infrastructure and its capital. Decades of corruption have destroyed any future and it’s stuck with a $130 billion national debt that is estimated to pass 100% of its GDP by 2025. Worse still, its GDP shrank by 1.3%.

Western governments and protesters got the regime they wanted. So did China.

The ANC’s Cyril Ramaphosa recently expressed his love and admiration for China’s Communist government and declared that, “South Africa applauds China’s principled foreign policy posture.”

“We therefore readily align ourselves with the four calling-ons articulated by President Xi, which call on all countries to respect the diversity of human civilisations and perspectives while advancing the common values of humanity.”

Then let President Xi fund the ANC.

In the last years of the Bush administration, US foreign aid to South Africa rose from the single digits to the triple digits. Under Obama, writing $300 million checks a year to the failed state became the new normal. It’s time to cut off all foreign aid and end this one way relationship.

It may be too much to expect a reevaluation of Nelson Mandela: the bosom buddy of every international monster of his day including Castro, Arafat, Gaddafi and Mugabe. But under a series of ANC leaders, South Africa has evolved into a murderous racist oligarchy where white farmers are murdered every day in an ongoing state-sponsored campaign of ethnic cleansing.

“The expropriation of land without compensation is envisaged as one of the measures that we will use to accelerate redistribution of land to black South Africans,” President Ramaphosa threatened.

That didn’t stop Biden from holding a high-profile meeting with him last year or from his administration offering billions in green energy subsidies to a corrupt failed state.

South Africa’s military exercises with China and Russia make it clear that’s treason.

The Biden administration claims that “the United States and South Africa share vibrant educational and people-to-people ties, significant economic and political interests, as well as common development objectives throughout Africa.” Not one of these things are true.

America has no political interests in common with the ANC. The only objective the ANC has is taking our money while allying with our enemies. Supporting Mandela and the ANC was a tragic mistake that led directly to the deaths of as many as half a million people in South Africa due to crime, violence and the spread of HIV. Our alternatives are another bout of regime change to set things right or to stop writing $300 million checks to try to fix South Africa.

The sight of South Africa’s military and a Chinese warship conducting exercises ought to make it clear that the ANC is our enemy. And that any further foreign aid just funds our enemies.

The collapse of civilization on the altar of equity and diversity

Tribalism: The World on Parade

One of the things I never cease to be fascinated with is why so many smart people who write about international affairs miss what I consider the most important component in understanding international affairs, and that is, most of the world has no concept of capitalism or democracy as we know it.  It's just not part of their historical and cultural paradigm.  As a result, when we make economic or political decisions on our concept of how the world should work, and then when those decisions fail to produce the desired results, which is often, then we're shocked they just don't seem to get it.  Imagine that.

After all, we explained it to them didn't we?  Why don't they get it?  Because their cultural and societal structures are antithetical to the very concept of American democracy and American capitalism. 

In Muslim controlled countries democratic institutions are impossible because Islam requires all to obey those at the top, and we have to remember, the real violence is mostly going on in these countries because of two factors, tribalism and Muslim sectarianism.  Right now Christians are being murdered in Islamic nations to the point of genocide, and no one seems to care. 

Millions of Christians in the region have been uprooted from their homes, and many have been killed, kidnapped, imprisoned and discriminated against, the report finds. It also highlights discrimination across south-east Asia, sub-Saharan Africa and in east Asia – often driven by state authoritarianism.

Let’s take as an example of what happened in Libya and Syria.  When you scratch the surface of those who took sides in Libya and Syria what we find are competing tribes fighting the dominant tribe, just as they’ve always done.  These are medieval societies with modern trappings imposing tyranny on those from a different tribe, or different religion, and even different Muslim sects. Capitalism, democracy and the rule of law cannot exist in that kind of political drama.

Aside from its religious veneer, Islam can easily be defined and understood by one wholly a religious word: tribalism — the bane of any democratic or pluralistic society.  The fact is, the entire appeal of Muhammad's call to the Arabs of his time lay in its compatibility with their tribal mores, three in particular: loyalty to one's tribe, enmity for other tribes, and raids on the latter to enrich and empower the former.............the tribe was what humanity is to modern people: to be part of it was to be treated humanely; to be outside it was to be treated inhumanely.  This is no exaggeration.................Muslims were to become "friends one to the other to the exclusion of outsiders."

Hence, the umma — an Arabic word etymologically connected to the word "mother" and which signifies the Islamic "Super-Tribe" that transcends racial, national, and linguistic barriers — was born, and its natural enemy remained everyone outside it..........the Islamic umma in one tent and the dehumanized tribes of the world in another — Muslims were exhorted to attack and subjugate all these "infidels" in order to make their Super-Tribe supreme............

The goal of Islam was to create "one tribe" predicated on religion, and it failed, except for creating the violence and destructiveness of jihad that prevails throughout Islam.   They view them as inferiors to be exploited. In the Muslim world these leaders and their governments are nothing more than tribal societies with one tribe in charge. Many times made up of one of the sects of Islam, and consider the other sects, who may be members of other tribes, as infidels, and can subsequently exploited, even murdered without consequence. 

In most African countries it really is all about tribes.  It isn’t about capitalism versus socialism, it’s about tribal culture and tribal dominance, including South Africa.  White South Africa was at one time was one of the world’s most stable economies.  It’s now a third world nation due to the black South African leaders thinking that had been molded by the socialists of the ANC, and now they are a third world country needing financial aid. 

First we need to understand that "tribalism" is foundational to the human condition.  We have an internal emotional, psychological and intellectual need to belong.  Take the passion we display in sports.  It's a them against us mentality, and often times, around the world it breaks into violence.  A war actually broke out in South America over a soccer game.  The game was the trigger, but the explosion was actually caused by underlying issues involving national interests.  National interests are a form of tribalism.   The need to belong, it's the us against them gene in action.

Tribalism as I've defined it can take the form of politics or religion.  Socialism is a form of tribalism. Islam is a socialist concept in its practical application.  Those at the top make all the rules and everyone else obeys.....or else!   Until all that changes, it doesn’t matter what outsiders do.  They will always be a mess, and that prevents solid long term investments that are beneficial to these societies from anyone - inside or outside of Africa, or the Middle East. 

As for those on the outside:  They will merely take advantage of whatever opportunities arise and then walk away when those opportunities end, leaving Africa will less than what they started out with, and it’s the fault of tribal culture mentalities. 

Let’s try and get this once and for all.  Giving these “nations” untold billions and crying a river of tears over their plight won’t change that.....ever!  In fact, it exacerbates the problem since those billions go into the pockets of corrupt petty dictators and their corrupt myrmidons, allowing them to stay in power and abuse those not in power.  Remember, whether it’s in the nations of Africa or the Middle East – if you’re not part of the ruling tribe, you’re not a real citizen.  The dominant tribe treat those of other tribes as a conquering army would treat those conquered.

For some years it’s been obvious the white population of South Africa was going to face genocide. Going back to 2012 in an article by Alex Newman entitled Genocide looms for white farmers  he notes: 

South Africa's black president sings killing songs as thousands massacred...........The eyes of the world were on South Africa two decades ago as the apartheid era came to an end and Western governments helped bring the communist-backed African National Congress to power. However, when Genocide Watch chief Gregory Stanton declare that white South African farmers were facing a genocidal onslaught and that communist forces were taking over the nation, virtually nobody noticed. Few outside of South Africa paid attention either when, earlier this year, the president of South Africa began publicly singing songs advocating the murder of whites.  

What was the response from America’s leftist government under Obama?

“The silence is so deafening that Secretary of State Hillary Clinton didn’t even publicly mention the problems when she was there last week. Instead, she was busy dancing, pledging billions of dollars and praising the ruling government.”

Here’s how the author describes this outrage:

“Tens of thousands of whites have been murdered throughout South Africa, too, according to estimates……Disemboweled, drowned in boiling water - Many more victims have been savagely tortured, raped, disemboweled, drowned in boiling water or worse. The horrifying evidence is available for the world to see on countless sites throughout the Internet: pictures of brutalized dead women and children – even babies.”

Remember the outrage of the left in America over South Africa’s apartheid policy with what was an unending theme at the time - End Apartheid Now! But where’s the outrage over what can’t be called anything less than white genocide from those on the left who were so concern over “civil rights” in South Africa?

End Apartheid Now! Wasn't that the sign that Bill Cosby demanded the show’s producers put up on the set of The Cosby Show, insisting on it's importance to black Americans, and that every black home would have one, or something of that nature, and the media blasted anyone who disagreed!

Who knows, he might have been right, maybe every black home had one, but I serviced a lot of apartments occupied by black folks in those days and I don’t remember seeing one. There may have been some, but the numbers would have been so small as to not make it a noticeable situation. 

Moving up to 2018 Rick Moran points out the consequences: 

There has never been such a radical government that has taken power in South Africa.  What was promised in the constitution about property rights is in the process of being trashed.  If the murders continue and the government refuses to do anything about them, South Africa will become another economic basket case in Africa.  And the government will have only itself to blame.

That was the prediction and that's what happened.  So much for all the feel good demonstrations and virtue signaling by left wing activists and Hollywood misfits.   Where is the media and Hollywood now! Where are the protestors now? Where is the Federal government now? Where are the embargoes now? Most importantly…..Where are the Nelson Mandela’s and Bishop Desmond Tutu’s demanding justice? Perhaps dancing with Hillary Clinton, who while in South Africa found time to dance but had no time to notice the atrocities against whites in South Africa.

Remembering that South Africa was a country that abolished slavery in 1833 I would like to ask; did the white government of South Africa perform the atrocities that the black South African government is either perpetrating, promoting or allowing to happen now? If so, I don’t remember it on the news of them doing so in main stream media, or from historians.  So I think we can assume those kind of atrocities weren’t normal or ongoing.

We can argue unendingly the correctness of this, but the issue we are dealing with is this. Were the founding Fathers believers and did they subscribe to the idea that the only way this Republic could work was if America continued to be a nation of believers based on the Judaic/Christian principles that with extraordinary rights went with an understood requirement for accepting extraordinary responsibilities. Multiculturalism is antithetical to Americanism. We really need to start seeing the world as it is and the consequences of adopting insane policies. Multiculturalism is based on the mistaken idea that all cultures are equal.  Only the PC crowd wants us to think that all cultures are equal except the American culture.

I have a question. If the American culture is so bad why are so many trying to get here...even illegally...and with the support of those who decry our culture! And if the American culture is so bad why is it Americans aren't flocking to get passports to live in every other country in the world?

The problem with Americans is that we only see their world through binoculars in reverse and in irrational ways. We think because we live the way we do that's the way everyone should live, and everyone should have the same privileges we have, and the result would be the world would be filled with "little Americas" because we will then all think alike and see the world in the same ways, and no one would worry and everyone would be happy.   And this goes to both sides of the philosophical spectrum.

Does anyone really believe Bush’s drive to bring democracy to the Muslim world worked so well? Well, the reality is the minute they had the right to vote they promptly voted in a radical Islamist groups who promptly worked to take away their right to vote. Voting and individual rights are antithetical to the Muslim faith, and what's going on in Afghanistan right now is proof positive of that, and that's the tip of the iceberg. 

What does the word Islam mean?  In Arabic usage, Islam implies “absolute submission, surrender and obedience, that is obeying the injunctions of the ruler without objection.”  No matter what anyone says to the contrary --we need to observe reality-- and that is what goes on in reality.

As for South Africa; they have the same problem that all of Africa has:  Corruption of leadership on a massive scale that is foundational to the African experience. In days before the European colonization of Africa, they were ruled by tyrannical kings. That is their social, intellectual and cultural foundation. They have merely returned to that which is foundational to their societies.

America is unique in the world today and for that matter in all of world history. We really believe we won’t be told what to do, what to eat, what to wear, what we are taught or what we will believe. Why? Because for the first time in human history we were a society created from the bottom up.

Demanding that Africa or the Middle East and other Muslim dominated nations be just like America is irrational, because the rest of the world, filled with very complex societies, often times are without any national standard as to language, religion or societal structure and philosophy.

In 1948, “National Party leaders argued that South Africa did not comprise a single nation, but was made up of four distinct racial groups: white, black, coloured, and Indian. These groups were split further into thirteen nations or racial federations. White people encompassed the English and Afrikaans language groups; the black populace was divided into ten such groups.”

If there was ever a good reason to abandon this insanity called ‘multiculturalism’ South Africa is a perfect example, but certainly not the only one.  In Ethiopia, Ethnic Violence Endures Despite the Government’s ‘Humanitarian Truce’.  This map appeared in a Stratfor subscription article showing how disconnected these societies are.

 

The French Revolution was such a failure for the very reason that the American Revolution as such a success. Minimal government with every man making his own decisions about life versus the French concept of central planning run by an elite, which promptly started murdering untold numbers that had done nothing to deserve having their heads cut off. There is a reason the current French government is the Fifth Republic and may be on the way to a Sixth. Central planning and all power at the top. 

As for Africa:  As bad as some things were under the colonial powers, it can be argued that it couldn’t have been as bad as it is now. No one in America…at least among normal people…. likes the idea of anyone being declared officially inferior. It's now antithetical to our very concept of existence. However, that's what goes on in much of the rest of the world....... all the time........ especially in Africa and the Middle East and Muslim dominated lands.

They do not view non-members of their "tribe" as equals.

 

How "equity" ideology plunged South Africa into inequality and chaos

Van Wyksdorp, South Africa - As South Africa erupted into chaos, my thoughts turned to the United States  a great country brought low by the same toxic and demented racial politics that set afire my homeland last week. As I write, shell-shocked South Africans are trying to muster a response to an orgy of arson and looting. Cargo vessels are being turned away from some of our largest harbors, because it's too dangerous to unload them. Hundreds of thousands face hunger thanks to the destruction of warehouses and disruption of food-supply chains. Tens of thousands of jobs and small businesses have been destroyed; the property damage is incalculable. 

Former President Jacob Zuma's refusal to be held accountable for corruption triggered this mayhem. Rather than face the prospect of imprisonment and disgrace, he seems to have attempted a preemptive coup against his successor. But this is just part of the picture. The overarching truth is that an idea pushed South Africa to the brink. You guys know this idea, because it animates the sermons of critical race theorists trying to force you to take the knee and atone for your supposed sins. I am going to call it the Beautiful Idea, because it is beautiful in a way, but also dangerous.

The Beautiful Idea holds that all humans are born with identical gifts and should turn out to be clones of one another in a just society. Conversely, any situation in which disparity survives is in itself proof of injustice. This is the line promoted by CRT pundit Ibram X. Kendi, who blames all racial disparities on racist policies. 

South Africa violence continues to spiral, causing food and fuel shortages But what policies is he talking about? Kendi is reluctant to be drawn on this score, and with good reason: He can’t name the policies, because they don’t exist anymore. In your country, all discriminatory laws have been repealed, all forms of overt racism outlawed and replaced by laws that enforce preferential black access to jobs, housing and college admissions.

So Kendi must insist that an invisible miasma of "systemic racism" infects white people and propels them to act in ways so subtly racist that most of them aren't even aware they're sick until it is pointed out to them by diversity consultants...........To Read More....

Sights and Sounds: South Africa

Though most media covered it sparingly, South Africa nearly collapsed. Revolver has an excellent article suggesting that South Africa has reached the endpoint of Critical Race Theory, or state-sponsored racism against whites. I’m not so optimistic.

I’m reminded of an old Ronald Reagan joke about Soviet citizens discussing Communism: “Is this it, have we achieved full Communism? Oh no, it’s going to get a hell of a lot worse.”

Blacks, more specifically, some blacks have taken over the government of South Africa and are running the country in their own interests. The new “Rainbow Nation” is built on repudiating the old, successful white South Africa. I suspect things will not get “so bad” that the people will rise up and overturn the corrupt African National Congress. Black radicals will probably gain power and push through more attempts to punish whites — even in tiny villages such as Orania — and there will be more attacks on “white monopoly capital.”................

Leftists occasionally invoke South Africa as a model for the United States. In These Times, Slate, Politico, Foreign Policy, NPR, The Nation, and other publications have called for “Truth and Reconciliation Commissions” for the United States. These commissions have made divisions worse. Some in South Africa speak of the possible separation of a greater “Orania” from “Azania.” That would be the best solution...............

Unfortunately, the most likely solution is that the country will be held together by force. Moreover, South-Africa-style chaos could come here. Joe Biden and others who helped destroy the old South Africa bear moral responsibility.

One popular explanation of the violence is that supporters of former president Jacob Zuma are trying to get President Cyril Ramaphosa to pardon his predecessor and resign. It may have started that way, but now the process can’t be controlled.

It now appears that South Africa has imposed a tenuous order — after at least 212 deaths. President Ramaphosa responded energetically, making three national addresses in six days, and calling it an insurrection................This is not just a “race war” between whites and blacks. This is often a conflict between blacks and other blacks (sometimes between different tribes, or, really, nations.) Indians and blacks are also not getting along................

South Africa is a nation in name only. It is a loose confederation of hostile tribes, and our white kinsmen are the most endangered. Every white in South Africa should be eligible for refugee status in the West.  The best solution is something even National Review suggested: a homeland for South Africa’s white tribe..........To Read More....

Bad to Worse in South Africa

In February 2019, I wrote that South Africa’s government would make “apartheid denial” a crime. It’s not technically illegal yet, but South Africa’s president likens it to treason: “[A]partheid was so immoral in its conception and so devastating in its execution that there is no South African living who is not touched by its legacy,” said South African president Cyril Ramaphosa. “I would even go to say that to deny this, in my view, is treasonous.”

Treason to what? To “nonracialism,” which President Ramaphosa says, “is a fundamental and immutable principle that defines the character of our democratic nation.” He has an odd conception of “nonracialism.”

South Africa’s Black Economic Empowerment policy (BEE) discriminates actively against whites. Mr. Ramaphosa chaired a commission that started the practice. Even the leftist The Nation reports that he used race preferences shamelessly to line his own pockets.

According to South African law, the people who get systematic preferences under BEE are “African, Coloured, or Indian persons,” so Indians get race preferences, too. It is common to point out that South African Indians benefited from apartheid.

Some South Africans think there is still “Indian privilege.” The Indian Gupta family became rich and powerful through political connections and bribery. Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) head Julius Malema says Indians in Natal treat [black] Africans worse than Afrikaners do.

When he lived in South Africa, Mahatma Gandhi didn’t care about the rights of blacks. He said that the “British race should be the dominant race.” His objection was that the British “dragged [Indians] down to the position of a raw Kaffir.” Needless to say, Gandhi is not much of a hero in South Africa..............The lesson for whites is that you can’t secure protection by surrendering power.

Constitutions, promises, hopes, and wishes are no substitute for numbers, money, and sovereignty. Nelson Mandela’s “Rainbow Nation” was a transition phase in black state conquest of South Africa. My Take - Just as South Africa's economy has tanked, crime has skyrocketed, I think we can safely assume South African agriculture is going to suffer just as badly, and probably worse.
