What To Do About Drugs?

By Rich Kozlovich

Recently I saw an article by someone I have a great deal of respect for involving the legalization of drugs.  And like him, I’ve always been an anti-drug guy, and like him I’ve thought legalization could end much of the problems associated with drugs.  But it only took me nanosecond to pass on that as it really wouldn’t, it would increase them.  And of course the usual stuff about how Prohibition actually created organized crime in America.  It didn't, it was already here, it just made it rich.

Alcohol has always been a component of every culture that ever existed, and in fact is considered part of the food matrix in European nations.  It also can be consumed without addiction if used moderately, and won’t destroy the mind used in that form, and within 24 hours nothing of it will remain in the body.   It’s part of human culture, and culture is king.

These illegal drugs become addictive very quickly, alter the mind early, and there’s talk of genetic damage associated with some of them.  Legalizing them will increase use, poverty, misery, suffering and early death.

As I thought about the legalization I determined the only way it would work would be adopting the policy that once someone went down that path, they cut themselves off from any financial/medical support from society, and let the cards fall where they may.  If they died as a result, that was the solution.  But we all know the bleeding hearts would demand all sorts of support for these people and the costs would skyrocket right along with the number of addicts.

When the communists took over China in 1949 they had, per ratio, the largest drug addicted population on earth, largely due to the efforts of the first drug cartel, the British Empire.  England had a massive trade imbalance with China, as the Brits didn’t have a thing the Chinese wanted, so Britain shipped in opium from other nations causing massive societal problems, which along with other things, triggered the Boxer Rebellion.

In five years the communists ended their addiction problem.  First, they ended importation of opium, put the dealers out of business, and I think they shot them, but my memory is cloudy on that.  They then arrested those addicted and put them through rehabilitation, at least twice, and I think a third time.  After that they were arrested as criminals, and while my memory cloudy on this, I believe they were either worked to death or shot.  And for a leadership responsible for the murder of tens of million of their citizens, killing drug addicts would be no big deal to them.

The same kind of thing happened to end the black marketeering in China the late 70’s.  They kept warning society there would be terrible consequences if it didn’t end.  It didn’t, so they arrested those involved and shot them.   I doubt if either of those scenarios ended those problems entirely, but there was a vast reduction in both.

There’s no easy solution to end drug addiction in a society.  If they really want to seriously reduce it they have to ignore international boundaries and kill all the suppliers and dealers, and then put the addicted into work camps/prison permanently.

Since that won’t fly in America, it won’t go away as long as there’s an economy to support it!  That leaves increasing the penalties for those involved just to keep them off the streets, and if they commit crimes while under the influence of drugs, the penalties should automatically be doubled, and depending on the crime, that should include execution.  None of that will happen either as the bleeding hearts are probably users.

The illicit drug trade is so lucrative they'll risk anything, even the Mafia in America succumbed as the money was too huge to ignore.

The Dominican Republic chased a cocaine carrying boat for 12 hours and found 1.5 tons of cocaine, which would have translated into between $37.5 million to over $300 million depending on purity, and that was small potatoes as the Dominican Republic seized more than 46 tons of drugs last year, which would have translated into billions.

And that kind of money buys protection, not only from the thugs they hire, but also from police, military, judges, and politicians, and in countries like Mexico, they're can easily be considered a shadow government filling society with fear and intimidation.  If the penalties aren't severe enough, there will be no control.

SOTU, SOBAD, SOSAD

By Rich Kozlovich

First, in my old age, I never.....ever .... watch SOTU addresses, political debates, convention speeches, or anything of that ilk because it's always a lot of BS, boring BS, and that's especially true of the SOTU addresses.  News clips maybe, but not the actual event. One side applauds wildly...and insanely, as if something great and grand was just stated, and the other side sits on their hands.  It's all theatre, political theatre filled with massive loads of horsepucky.....and did I mention boring.

I give J.D Vance, Clearance Thomas, and Amy Barrett a lot of credit for not bothering to go.  Vance didn't want to waste his time hearing Joe lie, which he did over and over again, Thomas and Barrett gave no reasons.

Besides, there are people being paid to watch all this clabber in order to write about it, so over the next couple of days I will have read a bushel basket full of articles and commentaries from both sides, but by the end of the first day, I know what was said and if any of it was of any value versus what was hogwash.  However, since the patterns of life play out unendingly, I usually already know the gist of what's said, it's just the details that remain.

As a side bar, the only assigned seating at SOTU is for the Cabinet, Supreme Court justices, members of the Diplomatic Corps, the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Commandant of the Coast Guard.  For everyone else it's first come first served.  So when you see members seated on the aisle in order to be seen shaking the President's hand, they may have had to get there hours ahead of time to get that seat.  Which I think is really nuts, but it is telling.  Especially when years ago a representative from my state, who's supposed to be a conservative, was sitting right on the aisle and gave Obama a hug.   Gag!  She lost the next election.

As for this SOTU, of all the commentaries I've read, I like Daniel Greenfield's the best, Biden Uses State of the Union to Threaten Civil War Not even Obama violated political norms the way Biden just did, saying:

Biden’s addresses have gotten longer as he has had less to say. Last year’s State of the Union was the 8th longest on record and this year’s clocks in behind Obama’s 2010 rant. The only reason it wasn’t even longer is that Biden rushed to get through it, mumbling and slurring words, rattling off threats and insults at a speed that made them all but impossible to understand.....Biden began his speech name-dropping presidents who people liked better than him (a long list) and threatening and berating Republicans, babbled, ranted, and came across as a weak demented old man boasting about accomplishments that weren't, and conditions that aren't.

Here are his claims, the clabber, the threats, and just plain lies.

He compared himself to FDR, Abraham Lincoln, and even Ronald Reagan, and attacked Trump over and over again, which isn't considered a norm of SOTU, and accused Republicans of .....well..... everything.... and lied over just about everything, and from the clips I saw I have to ask, did he look and act normal in any sense of the word?

Here was Daniel's assessment of this travesty:

Biden violated the most elementary State of the Union decorum. He gave a speech that he should not have been allowed to deliver.......Presidents deliver these addresses as guests of Congress. As a guest, Biden insulted his hosts, soiled the drapes and tried to wrap his partisan hatefest in name dropping and the flag......His legacy concludes with a series of unhinged meanspirted rants in which he demands absolute power to save the country from the threat of political dissent. Americans would be scared if they could understand what he was saying.

Here are the assessments of others:

  • Biden Had Even More Terrible Things to Say on Immigration After He Sort of Said Laken Riley's Name -  As Matt covered last night, President Joe Biden said Laken Riley's name, finally. He only sort of said it, though, given he actually said "Lincoln Riley," which has been trending. It was also only after he was heckled by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) into finally addressing her name and the fact that she was murdered. An illegal immigrant who had been arrested for other crimes before, Jose Antonio Ibarra, has been charged with her murder. ...............
  • Biden’s SOTU address was, quite simply, horrible  - Joe Biden’s State of the Union (“SOTU”) was unlike anything I’ve seen before, and I started watching these speeches in the mid-1980s. No president has ever been so maniacally wired, periodically incoherent, or viciously angry. That was style. The substance was worse. Biden opened by calling Trump a Nazi, shifted to Ukraine, promised to stamp out “insurrections,” and attacked Republicans—and then ended by calling for non-partisanship and comity. Throughout it all, he lied and then lied some more. This was a Dark Brandon campaign speech, not an SOTU.
  • Obama-Biden Administration Was Creeping Fascism -The similarities between the Obama administration and Italian fascism have been pointed out many times. Over a dozen articles about this are on this site alone (1, 2, 3, 4). It is usually said that fascism is a strain of socialism in which the means of production are beneficially owned by private persons but controlled by the government. Both the Obama administration and Mussolini used a financial crisis to take over banks and industry. Mussolini openly assumed complete control of them, even though partial private ownership was allowed to remain..............
  • The State of the Union - March 8, 2024 by J.A. Frascino -Regardless of what POTUS says, it’s what he’s doing that counts.Trump followers want to make America great again. No one seems to know what the Republican Party wants. But the goals of the Democratic Party are clear. The defining position of today’s left, now more than ever, is one of dissatisfaction and dissidence. Socioeconomic classes and inequalities are resultant of the oppressed being subjugated by the oppressors in an unjustly evolved social system based in racism, xenophobia, misogyny, and capitalistic greed. There is little or nothing in current American society that warrants perpetuation. The Democrats want to remake American society into a system they alone control..........

All of which was as predictable as night follows day:

  • Mean-Spirited Joe, Joe Biden is delivering his State of the Union speech tonight. Apparently he will chide Americans for not appreciating his wonderful economy; declining real wages will not be mentioned. He will denounce “shrinkflation,” as though people are too stupid to know inflation when they see it. Nor will Biden mention the eight million or so illegals who have streamed across the border, wreaking havoc, since he opened it......
  •  “The Man Behind the Mask in Tonight’s SOTU Charade Is This Angry Foul Creature” - James Woods unloads on ‘Forked Tongue” Joe Biden in Runup to Tonight’s Speech - And he will do it all with the same forked tongue he has used to slither through half a century of politics, corruption, and lies. He is the worst person ever ensconced in the Oval Office.....

Final conclusion:  He's intellectually and neurologically challenged, he's morally challenged, he's incompetent, and he's leading the nation to it's doom.  Why is that so hard for so many of these misfits to grasp?  Sorry, that's clearly the wrong question.  Here's the right question. Why are they so willing to accept that and call it saving democracy from Donald Trump and fascism?

There's a reason they're calling him Dementia Joe.  He's nuts and stupid, but it's also clear they're just as nuts and as stupid as Biden.  In point of fact, they're even nuttier than Joe.  They don't think he's nuts enough.

Update 3/9/24:

The above cartoon appeared on Townhall.com, and as I said, over the days following the SOTU speech there would be a lot of verbiage about what went on, and after a couple of days, you will get every variation possible on reality.  The leftist main stream media proclaimed his address was "fiery", and Joe Scarborough says he's known Biden for years and he's the best he's ever been intellectually and analytically.  Now that's certainly worth an eye rolling, head shaking chuckle if there ever was one.  However, others who see things that are versus delusions that aren't, think Joe's performances was a demonstration of drug induced nuttiness, and I think Joe Scarborough is either as dumb as dirt or as corrupt as Joe.... or both.

 Here are some additional pieces!

  • In Scream of ages Silvio Canto, Jr.  asks, "Well, what do you say after all of that screaming in front of Congress? Did he get any sleep after screaming at everyone for an hour or so?......all that screaming was disturbing and a clear sign that these guys are in panic..........Where did they find whatever they gave him? Do you need a prescription? What border did it cross? Who determined what dosage to inject him? That was scary..........something about a screaming 80-year-old and it doesn't smell good.......
  • In this piece, which follows a caveat "I don't like Trump either" piece,  And in This Corner: A Reflection on the State of the Union, James Spencer says: "The spectacle was revealing. If the angst and anger evident in the room are reflective of the way the broader American public feels, it seems clear that the United States is headed toward a battle royale. While the frustration is troubling, the most disturbing aspect of the State of the Union address was that many of our elected officials have decided to drop the façade of decorum. They don’t seem to feel the need to present a nonpartisan fiction to the American people. Presenting some sense of unity or even a measure of respect for those across the aisle has, evidently, been deemed unnecessary for some of those representing the United States......
  • Biden’s SOTU: 'Old Ideas' Talk Back to an Old Man Selwyn Duke notes Biden rants about old ideas and how they're destroying the nation, but Duke points out it was those old ideas that created a stable, productive, safe, economically viable society the world envied.  He notes: "The problem with Biden is not that he’s old. The problem is that he has repeatedly shown himself to have little relationship to Truth."
  •  Since I don't watch these things, but I do review clips, I thought does this man like an act like there's something seriolsy wrong with him, so I can understand why someone would claim  he gives the impression of being possessed, so I can understand piece in the Canada Free Press,REAL JOE BIDEN Comes Out From Behind The Curtain In Highly Visible DEMONIC Form saying: "It was above all, an evil attempt at the ‘Collapse of Civilization’ on full public display during last night’s so-called State Of The Union Address. The stench of sulfur hung heavily in the air as Lucifer’s favorite demons goaded on a crazed, mask-off Joe Biden at his sinister best."  She went on to say "Joe Biden looks demonic. There is just no other word for it"......"Only the spawn of the devil could put their lust for killing babies, mutilating youngsters as they continue to transgender them; only the very spawn of the devil could prioritize abortion, the war in Ukraine above the feeding, safety, security and well being of their own people!"....
  • Anger, shouting, word salad makes expert suspect Biden was juiced.  - 'He wasn’t just talking loudly'. Joe Biden these days mostly is slow and stumbling in both his walk and his talk. He often braces himself on a podium to speak. And he's gained a reputation for randomly looking around and wandering across a stage, trying to get off. So why, during his State of the Union, was he, as supporters claimed, "fiery?" He shouted and spit words out at hyperspeed, sometimes making a verbal slip but moving on without a correction. Drugs, suspects one expert. Amphetamine. Uppers...........
  • Biden's Biggest SOTU Lies Debunked -  "This is a moment to speak the truth, to bury lies," President Joe Biden declared Thursday night during his State of the Union address.  Then, the president proceeded to do nothing but lie before the nation. Biden's deceitful 2024 SOTU address was filled with so many falsehoods it may have broken a Guinness World Record for the number of lies told within an hour.......Inflation..... Wages......Federal Deficit.....Job Creation.....Consumer Confidence.......Bonus B.S.,  .......a self-proclaimed constitutional scholar, said he "taught the Second Amendment for 12 years!"......he's never instructed anyone on constitutional law.......and......never taught a single class......

Bombs, Rockets and Torture Cells: The EU is an Islamic Narco-State

By September 21, 2023 @ Sultan Knish Blog

Less than an hour from the capital of the European Union, gangs fight gun battles in the streets or bomb each other’s outposts. Crime reporters, police and prosecutors are bought off or killed. Torture cells are set up in shipping containers and bodies can be cleanly disposed of, but when the gangs really want to send a message they set up a public execution or fire off a rocket.  That’s the way things are done, not in Bogota or Beirut, but in Antwerp.

Europe’s initial Islamic migration followed port cities. Among those leading port cities were Rotterdam and Antwerp which have become the hubs of Europe’s cocaine crisis. The Moroccan Muslims who came to the quintessentially European cities used them as links to their relatives who were growing marijuana back home. While Islam ruthlessly suppressed the use of alcohol, hashish use became widespread among the invading armies of the new religion. Islamic terrorists nourished on the drug became some of the most useful Jihadis carrying out attacks against Christian knights during the Crusades. Morocco was one of the world’s largest producers of hashish and the new Muslim immigrants established local drug empires.

The drugs grew harder and so did the gangs. Marijuana made way for cocaine in Rotterdam and Antwerp. The gangs became organized crime syndicates whose power rested on control of the docks. The docks in Antwerp are under the control of a hard leftist Belgian union that gleefully shuts down the country and violently clashes with the police during its strikes, but it knows better than to stand up to the Muslim gangs. Leading union figures have allegedly been bribed and ordinary dock workers who refuse to transport the cocaine off ships disappear.

A 2020 bust turned up a secret torture room in a shipping container with a dentist’s chair, handcuffs, pliers and scalpels. And cameras set to record it all as a lesson to others.

The Muslim gangs aren’t subtle. That we hardly hear about them is due to politics and terror.

In the Netherlands, they sent a message to the media by firing an anti-tank rocket at one magazine and then smashing a van through the lobby of the country’s biggest newspaper and setting it on fire. Reporters and bloggers have been killed, and abduction threats have been issued against everyone from the crown princess to the prime minister.

The terror is obvious, but so is the politics.

The Mocro Maffia, which controls a third of Europe’s cocaine market, was built by Moroccan immigrants to the Benelux countries. Media accounts make a point of describing most of the perpetrators in an attack as being “of Dutch origin” or from some other part of Europe to obfusticate the immigration issue. With a Moroccan Muslim criminal organization whose roots in Europe go back to the 1960s, it stands to reason that many of its younger members were already born in Europe: some even to second generation immigrants also born in Europe.

But that doesn’t make them European. And even Europe’s native criminal population is becoming Arabized and Islamized from prison level converts to more elite figures.

When Robert Mink Kok, a major Dutch drug trafficker who had considered becoming a lawyer before turning to crime, was targeted, authorities raided his compounds in Lebanon, including in Hezbollah’s drug hub in the Bekaa Valley where they found anti-tank rockets. Kok had married into a Lebanese Arab Muslim drug clan with its own drug labs and private army. The Lebanese drug clan and Kok had allegedly been working to bring two metric tons of cocaine into Europe.

The majority of drug kingpin figures, like Ridouan Taghi, once the most wanted man in the Netherlands, are North African Muslims and, when they go to ground it’s either in Muslim countries (Taghi was identified in Dubai) or, like Taghi’s associate, Sayid Razzouki, head for the shelter of the Latin American cartels whose drugs they move into Europe.

The immigrants, some of whom have been in Europe for 60 years, others who were born there, are not becoming integrated, instead parts of Europe are turning into Lebanon or Morocco. The same ports that once brought Muslim immigrants to Europe are now controlled by immigrant crime bosses who are making Europe play by their rules.

It’s not just Belgium and the Netherlands: Sweden had 90 gang bombings last year.

While the media harps on gun ownership in the United States, Muslim gangs in Sweden have taken to throwing hand-grenades and home-brewed explosives at each other. While the Muslim gang members still shoot at each other, they also like hurling explosives at apartment buildings.

At the end of August, there were four blasts in one hour at different buildings in Gothenburg where 10% of the country’s Muslim settler population lives. Unlike Belgium and the Netherlands, Sweden’s gangs and their weapons come from the shattered remnants of the former Yugoslavia: Bosnians and Albanians brought as refugees formed gangs and smuggled weapons from family members in their own homelands. They were joined by the Black Cobra gang: an Iraqi, Lebanese and ‘Palestinian’, organization expanding out of Denmark.

Authorities blame some of the infighting in Sweden’s Muslim gang scene on Rawa Majid, also known as the ‘Kurdish Fox’, who operates out of Turkey.  Majiid had come to Sweden as a refugee baby only to build a massive criminal empire and plan RPG attacks. The killers are particularly indiscriminate. “If there are more than one on the scene, shoot all of them. Women, children, it doesn’t matter,” one gang member ordered.

The state of terror is serious, but perhaps even more serious is the growing role of the Muslim mafias in politics. Some gang bosses bribe everyone from police officers to inspectors to local politicians. Other gangs have been getting their members involved in elections, delivering votes, and even moving their members into public office. It’s unknown to what degree elected public officials have been compromised, but some are beginning to call localities and even entire cities, narcostates.

Some of the Benelux countries, always prone to financial corruption, have become hubs for drug smuggling, human trafficking, and organized crime. Muslim gang members openly battle for territory. And the proceeds of the money are laundered through local family businesses. Rising businessmen financed by drug money are getting involved in politics. Hip-hop gang culture crossbred with Korans and mosques is transforming European cities into Islamic narco-states. The next Afghanistan or Beirut may turn out to be in Europe after all.

The Price of Eliminating Consequences

Victor Davis HansonVictor Davis Hanson Mar 09, 2023

Recently there were some remarkable online videos of a Portland, Oregon good Samaritan confronting shoplifters and forcing them to dump loads of their pilfered goods.  More stunning, however, was the sheer outrage - of the thieves! They pouted. They screamed. They resisted. How dare anyone stop them from stealing anything they wished.  The criminals entertained no fear of any consequences for walking out with bags of things that were not theirs. They had no care that mainstreaming their habits would undermine the entire fabric of society.

What is common to the pandemic of smash-and-grab, carjacking, fighting on airliners while in flight, and deadly Saturday night shoot-outs is this same apparent assurance there will be no consequences. That expectation of exemption is why the Antifa thugs in Atlanta were so bold in their latest violent attacks on the police.  And why not, after the 120 days of rioting, looting, arson, and assault in the summer of 2020 which resulted in few Antifa indictments, fewer convictions, and almost no imprisonments?............

Could the FBI and the CIA recover their tarnished reputations if their directors knew in advance they would go to jail for lying under federal oath?...........Nations are no different from people. Without expectation of a severe reaction to their provocations, they only escalate their aggression..........When our state and federal governments allow criminals and foreign nations to injure with impunity their own law-abiding citizens, is it any wonder the civilized world we once knew has vanished - replaced by the Hobbesian rule of the wild?............ Amnesty, Crack and Other RINO Senate Sellouts

By On December 15, 2022

It’s December. The cold winds are blowing and darkness comes early. Worker productivity drops across the board except for the one class of workers who don’t work any other time of the year.

Congress.

With the midterm elections in the rearview mirror, the Senate is a furious hive of activity, dirty deals and furious negotiations as its small membership uses the opportunity created by the incoming House Republican majority to rush legislation through the lame duck session.

A dozen Senate Republicans already voted to abolish the Defense of Marriage Act, eliminating both marriage and religious freedom in one fell swoop, just as the Supreme Court was moving to protect it. Some of the senators then had the chutzpah to claim that they did it to protect religious freedom. The betrayal is bad enough, treating voters like bamboozled idiots is worse.

And that’s just the beginning of the lame duck sellout session.

Senate Republican RINOs are rushing through their betrayals while they hope no one is paying attention. Next up is amnesty for illegal aliens. Every time you hear about secret negotiations to reach a deal on immigration, it’s always the same damn sellout that it’s been for decades.

The latest incarnation of “immigration reform” once again promises more money for “border security” in exchange for amnesty for illegal aliens. Trading amnesty for border security is like trading your alarm code for a better alarm system. And after multiple rounds of these deals, our border is more open than ever and our country is more filled with illegal migrants than ever.

While Senate sellouts are conducting secret negotiations in the latest incarnation of amnesty (as befits a nation where the people answer to the government, not the other way around), it starts by ratifying Obama’s illegal DACA amnesty to legalize at least 2 million illegal aliens.

And, if past immigration dirty deals are anything to go by, the dirty deal will get much worse.

Republican proponents of making Obama’s lawlessness, lawful, call this a “DACA fix”. An actual fix would end the lawlessness and enforce immigration law, instead of finding new spin for their sellouts. But many of the Senate Republicans who had voted to abolish marriage and religious freedom have also been longtime supporters of illegal alien amnesty. And this is their hour.

Most Americans, in poll after poll, say that they’re sick and tired of Biden’s immigration policies, and yet, somehow, a number of Senate RINOs looked at those numbers and decided that they want a piece of those 60% disapproval ratings while giving Democrats millions more voters.

Why try for win-win, when lose-lose is so much better.

Senate Republicans keep promising that their latest bipartisan deal will finally secure the border. Only the most naive human being alive who had already bought the Brooklyn Bridge with the crypto millions from FTX would take them seriously. Money won’t secure the border. Only a consensus to follow the laws of our country will do that. Politicians who cut the heart out of immigration laws while promising that they’ll enforce them in the future don’t mean it.

Just like a drunk who promises to stop drinking tomorrow doesn’t mean it.

Illegal alien amnesty would be bad enough on its own, but Senate Republicans rushing it through a lame duck session to avoid a Republican House is a lawless act of contempt for midterm voters whom they begged to turn out only to cynically deprive them of their influence. If a lame duck president shouldn’t be able to appoint a Supreme Court member, how does a lame duck Senate legalize millions of illegals?

After abolishing religious freedom and legalizing millions of illegals, the next great RINO sellout on the lame duck horizon is crack.

After illegal aliens, crack dealers will get their turn at a Senate bailout. And then, who knows what depths of evil they’ll plumb, child molesters, Al Qaeda, or a bailout for the media? (The latter is actually on the agenda in the form of the Journalism Competition and Preservation Act.)

But first the crack dealers must be served.

Pro-crime activists are convinced that crackheads are unfairly discriminated against in sentencing. They argue that there’s a sentencing disparity between powder cocaine and crack cocaine users. And that since the latter are more likely to be black, the disparity is racist.

The disparity is real and has nothing to do with race. Crack cocaine offenders have the highest recidivism rates.  While the stockbrokers powdering their noses in the bathroom have the lowest rates. The former are also a whole lot more likely to assault you randomly on the street.

While a higher number of crack cocaine offenders are black, more powder cocaine offenders are still black than white, so the claims of racism simply don’t hold up.

The sentencing disparity between crack and powder cocaine was not systemic racism, it came at the request of black communities who were struggling with the crack epidemic. This was an era when black ministers called for shooting crack dealers and community groups endorsed the death penalty for dealers. The crackdown on crack was a response to black anti-crime activism.

But after House Democrats passed the EQUAL Act, some Senate Republicans are negotiating their version which would match up crack cocaine and powder cocaine sentences. Even as crime is surging, some RINOs have decided that crack dealers need to be a protected class.

But if crack dealers are getting bailed out, where’s the bailout for meth?

The sentencing guidelines for meth are the same ones that pro-crime campaigners for crack dealers have complained were racist. The crack cocaine guidelines continue to be watered down and, if the Senate RINOs bail out crack dealers, then meth will have the 1-to-100 sentencing disparity with crack cocaine. If the crack cocaine disparity was racist, why isn’t the meth disparity racist? While black people made up 88% of crack cocaine offenders, whites represent 48% of methamphetamine offenders while black people made up only 2.5%.

Classing drug offenses by the race of the offenders, not by the severity of the consequences, is classic racism. Pro-crime activists, like most lefties fueled by critical race theory, claim that they see systemic racism everywhere except in their own systemically racist pursuit of equity.

Too many black crack dealers behind bars is a civil rights crisis, but white and Hispanic meth dealers behind bars is equity. And equity is what lefties and RINOs call social justice.

It’s no coincidence that the three big agendas, abolishing religious freedom, immigration law and public safety are all giveaways to identity politics groups that are key to the Democrat base.

The unhappy question is why are Senate RINOs so eager to jump on the bandwagon for the special interests of the Democrats, but refuse to do anything for their own beleaguered base?

Why are they obsessed with cutting dirty deals to fill our cities with crack, our country with illegal aliens and our culture with the wreckage of what used to be our values? What, one might ask, would the RINOs do differently if they were honest and simply ran with Ds next to their names?

Every so often, the RINOs remind their voters that they don’t work for them, they serve the criminals, junkies, illegal aliens and worsening every crisis that we are already drowning in.

While you hang up your Christmas lights and light your menorah, in Washington D.C. they’re finally getting to work on their real jobs of destroying our lives, our beliefs and our country.

Democrats Decriminalized Drugs to Help Black People. Black Overdoses Skyrocketed

July 26, 2022 @ Sultan Knish Blog

Last year, Squad members and leftist Democrats introduced the Drug Policy Reform Act which would decriminalize drugs at a federal level. The Act falsely claims that the drug war led to "the deaths of countless black and brown people".

Rep. Cori Bush contended that ending "criminal penalties for drug possession at the federal level" would help "repair harm in black and brown communities".

But even without a federal law, drug decriminalization has swept the country.

While 38 states decriminalized marijuana, that's just the first step. Oregon decriminalized heroin and cocaine even though the state has the second-highest substance abuse rate. Last year, drug overdose deaths in the state rose 41% compared to 16%nationwide.

Despite that, New York, Washington and a number of other states are considering also decriminalizing “personal possession” of small amounts of drugs. Beyond legislative and proposition decriminalization, numerous jurisdictions dropped prosecutions, lightened existing laws, and rolled back street level enforcement creating urban drug overdose paradises.

Over 1,300 people died from drug overdoses in San Francisco in the last two years on pro-crime DA Chesa Boudin’s watch. "The days of giving dealers a free pass to flood the streets with fentanyl are over," DA Brooke Jenkins, the black female replacement for the white leftist pro-crime activist, promised. “We cannot allow our residents to die on the street of overdose."

Supporters promoted Oregon’s drug decriminalization as a way to “dismantle systemic racism.”

Oregon's Secretary of State and the Oregon Criminal Justice Commission claimed that racial disparities would be almost entirely eliminated by drug decriminalization.

But racial disparities in drug convictions were caused by disparities in drug use. And while you can eliminate disparities in sentencing by eliminating the crime, you can’t eliminate the real world consequences.

That’s what the latest CDC report shows.

Drug overdose deaths shot up 44% among black people nationwide.

The number of black overdose deaths rose from 5,452 in 2019 to 7,467 in 2020 leading to over 2,000 extra black deaths.

Among young black men, 15 to 24, the demographic that Democrat and some Republican politicians had particularly taken care to protect from the impact of the so-called "prison pipeline" through drug decriminalization, overdoses skyrocketed 92%. Among black people 25-44, drug overdoses climbed 55% and even among black people in their sixties, overdoses were up 44%.

2020, the year of the Black Lives Matter race riots, proved particularly deadly to black people due to the black nationalist hate group’s insistence on dismantling the criminal justice system.

The number of black people murdered in 2020 rose 62% as the culture of lawlessness unleashed by police defunding, prison releases, court shutdowns and general decriminalization claimed the lives of 5,839 black people.

That was an increase of 2,244 black deaths in one year.

Combined with the over 2,000 extra overdose black deaths, that’s 4,259 added black deaths due to criminal activity in the year when black lives were supposed to finally “matter”.

While black nationalists and their leftist allies falsely accused law enforcement of committing "genocide", the culture of criminality that they unleashed was so horrifying that a Johns Hopkins report on gun deaths in 2020 found that “In 2020, one out of every 1,000 young Black males (15–34) was shot and killed.” It noted that, “More than half of all black teens (15–19) who died in 2020—a staggering 52%—were killed by gun violence.”

The over 13,000 total black deaths from criminal activity in 2020 and, in particular the catastrophic increases in criminal deaths among young black men, look a lot more like a genocide, but it’s a self-inflicted genocide enabled by white wokes who claim to want to save black people from a fictious “systemic racism” while causing thousands of black deaths.

The CDC’s drug overdose death report shows that drug decriminalization proved to be as deadly to black people as the rest of the leftist and black nationalist agenda. In the face of these numbers, the media and pro-crime activists claim that the real problem is the lack of treatment.

But the CDC's own report notes that "among black persons, the drug overdose rate during 2020 in areas with the highest mental health provider availability (46.7) was more than 2.5 times as high as the rate in areas with the lowest rate of providers."

Drug overdoses increased across the board in 2020, but the highest impact was on those who were the most vulnerable, not because of false constructs like “systemic racism”, but a history of addiction. The populations most likely to use drugs were most affected by drug overdoses.

That included not only black people, but American Indians as well who also have high abuse rates.

Back in Oregon, black people were twice as likely to die of drug overdoses than white people. Decriminalizing drugs hadn’t defeated systemic racism, it led to more black deaths.

None of this is a surprise.

Pro-crime leftists accuse President Nixon of racism over the drug war, but he was frantically trying to win black votes. It was former Rep. Charles Rangel who had urged Nixon to go to war on drugs. “Public enemy number one in the United States is drug abuse. In order to fight and defeat this enemy, it is necessary to wage a new, all-out offensive,” he had argued.

In 1973, 71% of African-Americans in New York wanted drug dealers to be sentenced to life in prison without parole while some civil rights ministers and black intellectuals were calling for the death penalty for the men who were destroying black communities.

"Those of us who fight for our children's lives know what we have to do," Orde Coombs, a contributing editor to New York Magazine wrote. "We must walk through our Harlems and find the black pushers and kill them in their burgundy jump suits."

His was not a lone view.

The only thing surprising about what happened in 2020 was that anyone was surprised by it.

The drug war, like the war on crime, was not the invention of white racists, but black community leaders who were seeing their neighborhoods devastated by drugs and drug dealers. Black nationalists advocated against any kind of law enforcement, not because they cared about black lives, but out of a separatist agenda aimed at dismantling the country and its institutions. Leftists joined the campaign to take apart the criminal justice system out of the same overriding goal.

13,000 black deaths in one year are a small price to pay for the destruction of America.

Decriminalizing drugs, like decriminalizing all crime, has nothing to do with helping black people. Short of bringing back slavery, it’s hard to think of a single policy more likely to quickly destroy black neighborhoods and kill black people. Pro-crime activists claim that they want to save black people from racial inequity, when they are the single greatest force driving racial inequity.

Thousands of dead black people are the Left’s latest achievement in anti-racism and equity. From Planned Parenthood to pro-crime, the only thing leftists really help black people do is die.

Mask Mandates Return to College Campuses Where Students Have a Greater Chance of Dying from Opioid Overdose, Suicide or a Fall

Mask mandates are returning to college campuses. Healthy college-age Americans have next to zero chance of dying from COVID. It just doesn’t happen.

And, scientific studies show masking was mostly worthless.  A recent Oxford study found that a 25-year-old man had a 0.00 percent chance of dying from COVID. Via Western Journal — An ordinary American reportedly has higher odds of dying from cancer (1 in 7), from suicide (1 in 88), from an opioid overdose (1 in 92), from a fall (1 in 106) or a motor-vehicle crash (1 in 107), than dying of COVID...........To Read More....

Slow-Motion Suicide in San Francisco

The city is carrying out a bizarre medical experiment in which they are helping homeless drug addicts use drugs. ‘It’s handing a loaded gun to a suicidal person.

At this point all I can say is: go and see it. Over the past two years, more than 1,360 people have died from drug overdoses in San Francisco. That is more than double the number who have died from Covid.  But you don’t need more stats. You don’t need more numbers about how the tent encampments are exploding. Or about the amount of money that the city is paying for each person doing drugs on the sidewalks. You need to see it.

I’m serious. Everyone in San Francisco should make a trip downtown. Walk around. And do not avert your eyes to the people dying slowly on the streets. The politicians that run my hometown are relying on you not noticing what’s going on because it’s been bad for so long and who cares if it gets a little worse. Don’t let them. Go see it.  The city is using intimidation. They used it on me when I went to see what was going on at a new addict-services facility, which they’d set up in a public plaza. And they tried to intimidate my friend Michael Shellenberger, as you’ll read below .........To Read the Main Article...

Biden Admin To Fund Crack Pipe Distribution

$30 million program will provide 'smoking kits' to vulnerable communities

   February 7, 2022

The Biden administration is set to fund the distribution of crack pipes to drug addicts as part of its plan to advance "racial equity."

The $30 million grant program, which closed applications Monday and will begin in May, will provide funds to nonprofits and local governments to help make drug use safer for addicts. Included in the grant, which is overseen by the Department of Health and Human Services, are funds for "smoking kits/supplies." A spokesman for the agency told the Washington Free Beacon that these kits will provide pipes for users to smoke crack cocaine, crystal methamphetamine, and "any illicit substance."

HHS said the kits aim to reduce the risk of infection when smoking substances with glass pipes, which can lead to infections through cuts and sores. Applicants for the grants are prioritized if they treat a majority of "underserved communities," including African Americans and "LGBTQ+ persons," as established under President Joe Biden's executive order on "advancing racial equity."...........To Read More...

How China Fuels America’s Drug Problem

John Mac Ghlionn John Mac Ghlionn October 26, 2021

The vast majority of pharmaceuticals used in the United States come from China. That’s bad news for Americans, as both countries are now engaged in a new cold war.  .............Most of the pharmaceuticals used in the United States come from China. As relations between the United States and China become increasingly frosty, “much of America’s collective health not only depends on diet and exercise,” but on relations with China, according to Healthline’s Tom Hicks.

Two years ago, in an interview with NBC, retired Brigadier General John Adams argued that the United States had essentially “outsourced” its entire pharmaceutical industry to the Chinese.............. “That is a strategic vulnerability. I think they [China] know exactly what they’re doing and they’re incredibly good strategists. They’re doing this, they select their industries for the future and they’ve got a plan.” His warnings went largely unheeded.............., the Chinese regime has waged a “stealth war” on the Untied States. While the United States slept and continues to sleep, the CCP strategized and continues to strategize..............To Read More....

The New Social Justice War on Drugs is Bigger Than Ever

July 07, 2021 @ Sultan Knish Blog

California legalized pot 5 years ago, but you couldn’t tell that from the scale of the drug war.

Every few months brings another massive bust. A 40-acre illegal pot farm in an obscure part of Death Valley, the "most elaborate illegal marijuana" setup in Mendota with 50,000 pot plants that was so big that police could smell it from 1,100 feet in the air, “vast groves” worth $169 million in the eastern Sierras, and $285 million in the old Shasta region of the gold rush.

In 2019, California seized almost 1 million pot plants. One busted operation not far from San Francisco was processing 500 pounds of marijuana a day.

Governor Newsom had kicked things off with an address announcing that he was pulling the California National Guard from fighting what he described as President Trump’s “manufactured crisis” on the border to “refocus on the real threats facing our state”, like “illegal cannabis farms”.

Next year, 7 Laotians were brutally murdered at an illegal marijuana operation in Riverside by Mexican cartel members over Labor Day. With helicopters piloted by the Air National Guard and black SUVs full of DEA agents showing up in small towns, it’s like the drug war never ended.

Somehow the drug war in California is worse than ever.

Pro-pot advocates promised that legalizing drugs would bring in the money. And it did. Billions of dollars have been spent on “legal drugs”, but far more is being spent on illegal drugs.

The old drug war was fought by Republicans who believed that drugs were bad, but the new drug war is being fought by Democrats who love pot, but love drug money even more.

The issue isn’t morality: it’s money.

An ounce of pot is estimated to cost as much as $100 more bought legally than on the street. The profit margins are great and decriminalization expanded the illegal market even more than the legal one. Buyers no longer fear being busted, sellers have little to worry about, and even the growers who take much of the risk don’t have to worry about the stigma. Illegal growing has become an environmental and financial violation. The only real thing to fear are the cartels.

Mexican cartels now control much of the wilderness that California’s militant environmentalists had insisted on protecting from development. But while developers might fear the Sierra Club and its government allies, the cartels and the immigrant growers under their control don’t. What they’re afraid of is having their throats cut in the middle of the night. And as massive marijuana growing operations take off in wilderness areas, it turns out that the environmentalists were saving all that land so that drug lords from south of the border could grow millions in pot.

While California’s legal agriculture industries are dying: its illegal pot industries are prospering. If you want to grow avocados, good luck getting the water. Instead, Californians are buying Mexican avocados, from which the cartels take their cut, while the water goes to illegal operations that aren’t worried about permits or environmentalist pressure groups in Sacramento.

California's rice production will fall by 20% and its avocado production fell by nearly half in 2019 from 338 million pounds to 175 million pounds, while its illegal pot production vastly increased.

The old drug warriors wore suits and ties. The new drug warriors are the “entrepreneurs” who spent fortunes lobbying politicians in the hopes of cornering the market only to be stuck with a small slice of it aimed at upscale buyers willing to pay premium prices at boutique pot shops.

The environmentalists who once got high to commune with nature are among the most vocal special interests urging an aggressive war against this new form of agriculture which can’t be regulated. Behind them are identity politics groups and unions which want their cut of the cash.

A glance at the members of the Cannabis Advisory Committee shows some of the special interests involved from the pot workers branch of the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union to the head of the California NAACP to environmentalists. Legal drugs means money for unions and community groups, which really means money for Democrats.

Mexican drug cartels don’t pay consulting fees or offer donations to environmentalists, they don’t provide a cut to the black caucus, or hire unionized workers. It’s not the beheadings or rapes that bother California Democrats who shrug at such things from their gated communities.

But the illegal drug business is cutting into the profits from their legal progressive drug cartel.

That’s why Governor Newsom claimed that massive invasions of the country by illegal aliens are a “manufactured crisis”, but illegal pot farms that don’t pay his party are a serious threat. Illegal aliens build the power and wealth of the Democrats, but illegal pot farms steal from it.

Karl Marx observed that history repeats itself as farce. California’s Marxists are doing everything possible to live up to their leader’s teachings. After spending two generations fighting against the old drug war in the name of civil rights, they’re fighting a new drug war for civil rights.

Civil rights being anything that increases the power and wealth of California Democrats.

That’s why California’s Democrat majority passed a $100 million bailout for the “legal” pot industry. The widely reported bailout is really for the Democrats because it pays cities to hire experts to work with the industry on environmental compliance. What’s really going on is that the Democrat machine is paying its own environmental consultant class nine figures to navigate the roadblocks that same consultant class created in order to profit from the pot business.

That’s part of why an ounce of pot is $100 cheaper from the street than from a store.

Social justice is just a bunch of Marxist rhetoric behind which the same political mafia is moving money into its own pockets while laundering them through whatever ‘ism’ it’s fighting this week.

Whether it’s the environment or systemic racism, it’s another way for Democrats to get paid.

The old drug war was justified as a battle against a serious social ill, while the new drug war is just corrupt rent-seeking. The new drug warriors ridiculed the idea that locking up people for the harm caused by drugs was morally justified, but insist that locking up people because they haven’t paid the Sacramento mafia its share of the vigorish is completely morally justified.

California Democrats legalized drugs, further wrecking working class families, trashing what’s left of local agriculture and water supplies while feeding organized crime, to score $1.8 billion in tax revenues. But the illegal market is estimated at $8.7 billion. The new drug war is about the Democrats getting their hands on those extra billions by going back to the old drug war.

Why did California Democrats legalize drugs? It wasn’t to end the war on drugs, nor to make marijuana accessible to users with medical problems, or any of the other lies and excuses.

It was to make billions of dollars.

California’s new drug war pits socialists against drug lords over control of the drug market. It’s a familiar dynamic in South America that, like so much else, has crossed over the border.

The Democrats cloak their new social justice drug war in racial justice, offering “reparations” from their drug money to black people, in environmentalism, decrying the impact of illegal grows, in unionization, and in the whole colorful spectrum of leftist virtue signaling. But virtue signaling is no match for the ruthless determination of the cartels and their state sponsors.

In the battle between the legal drug cartels of the Democrats and the illegal drug cartels of South America, the illegals are winning as they have won everything else in California.

The Morning They Beheaded The Drug Smugglers: It Wasn’t Pretty, Believe Me

July 6, 2019 By Allan C. Stover

Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, 9:50 A. M., Tuesday, August 31, 1999. “They will kill four today,” one Saudi in the crowd said. “No, fifteen,” said another. “You’re all wrong,” said one of the dozens of soldiers deployed around the parking lot of the city’s central mosque where the executions take place. “They will kill eight. They killed eight last Tuesday, and two more on Friday. And today is Tuesday, and they will kill eight again.” The method of execution is decreed in the Qu’ ran: beheading by sword. Saudi Arabia is the only nation that regularly beheads offenders.

I’m the only Westerner in the crowd. I'd arrived early with my Saudi military friend, Tariq, and I got a choice spot in the front row overlooking the platform where eight people would soon die. “We need these executions,” Tariq insists. “Without them we would have even more crime and more of a drug problem. God willing, we will never have a drug problem like America and Europe.” Their crime rate is lower than in the West, but they do have a drug problem, although it admittedly isn’t as severe as ours.

Saudi Arabia performs beheadings for murder, rape, armed robbery, drug smuggling, and other offenses that “threaten the public order,” such as armed robbery. When I first arrived in Saudi Arabia, their newspapers reported the beheading of two Saudis who raped a 12-year-old shepherd girl. I sent the article to my favorite pub in Maryland. I heard that waitresses and customers alike said they wished we meted out the same punishment to child rapists in America. Another article told of a gang of Nigerians who stole a car and robbed a bank. The sentence for the gunmen: off with their heads. The getaway driver got off easier: he had a right hand and left foot severed before the stumps were plunged into hot oil to cauterize the wound.......To Read More....

The Narcosocialist Republic of California

Posted by Daniel Greenfield 0 Comments Wednesday, March 06, 2019 @ Sultan Knish Blog

In California, history, like everything else, repeats itself as farce.

Governor Gavin Newsom came into office announcing that he was canceling high-speed rail to nowhere, doubling down on high-speed rail to nowhere, and pulling the National Guard from, what he called, Trump's "manufactured crisis" at the border to deal with the greatest threat to California.

Pot.

The green crosses of marijuana dispensaries in Southern California easily outnumber the white crosses of churches or the red crosses of hospitals. Every other billboard in Los Angeles is either for a marijuana store, a marijuana app or a marijuana cookie. Wealthy shoppers in pricey areas browse through MedMen, a drug dispensary whose bare wood and glass are designed to make buying drugs feel like shopping for the iPhone X at the Apple Store. (The prices for MedMen’s drugs and the iPhone X might be comparable, but the Apple Store doesn’t have four burly security guards or an ATM at the counter.)

Lazy potheads with smartphones don’t have to bother making the trek out to a licensed drug dealer. Eaze is the app that wants to be the Uber and Eat24 of drugs. Its slogan is simple. "Eaze: Marijuana Delivered." The $52 million company operates in 100 cities giving Californians the ability to get their drugs without even having to get up off the couch for more than a few minutes at a time.

But, Governor Newsom, in his State of the State address, praised illegal aliens, declared that “the border ‘emergency’ is a manufactured crisis and California will not be part of this political theater”, but that the National Guard would “refocus on the real threats facing our state”, like, “illegal cannabis farms”.

Forget the illegal aliens, it was time to go fight illegal pot.

Could the most dazed place in America have suddenly harshed its mellow? Did the University of Montreal study showing permanent damage to teenage brains from marijuana use, the University of Pennsylvania study showing lower test scores for drug users, or the Lancet study showing lower graduation rates and higher suicide rates have miraculously burst through the progressive drug haze?

Nah.

California’s new drug problem is a familiar one to drug cartels across the world. Its own drug cartel, the Bureau of Cannabis Control, isn’t getting a big enough piece of the action. Most of California’s potheads prefer getting their pot the old-fashioned way, without MedMen’s Apple Store ambiance or Eaze’s apps.

80% of California’s pot is ‘illegal’. 4 out of 5 California potheads choose unlicensed drug dealers.

Think of them as discount cannabis shoppers. They’re not in it for the Silicon Valley shtick or the culture. They just want to get high as cheaply as possible. And they don’t want to pay high taxes on their pot.

Governor Newsom’s crackdown on ‘illegal’ pot operations is no different than when El Chapo’s thugs burst in on a drug operation that wasn’t “licensed” by the Bureau of Machetes. Drug legalization has turned California’s law enforcement and its National Guard into the enforcers for El Newsom.

California’s cartel boss is pulling the National Guard off stopping illegal aliens (who can find work in the new legal weed agriculture sector) to cracking down on drug growers who aren’t paying protection money to El Jefe to finance the fantasy of a high-speed rail to dreamland.

Not to mention universal health care for people “unwilling to work” because they won’t leave the couch.

Eisenhower federalized the Arkansas National Guard to enforce desegregation. When a state abuses its National Guard, pulling it off national security duty to protect the flow of drug money to the narcosocialist cartel running California into the ground, the way its fellow narcosocialist cartel ran Venezuela into the ground, Trump has excellent grounds for federalizing the California National Guard.

If President Trump invokes U.S. Code Title 10, instead of Title 32, he can take control of National Guard troops directly, instead of relying on the patriotism of Dem governors who see every illegal alien as another vote. And that will prevent Newsom and other Dems from undermining national security.

President Trump has failed to federalize the National Guard until now. But the withdrawal of Guard units by Democrat governors gives him every reason to do so. And Governor Newsom withdrawing the National Guard personnel to act as enforcers for California’s federally illegal drug industry adds insult to injury. The National Guard shouldn’t be abused to protect California’s “licensed” drug dealers.

But that’s what California’s second drug war is all about.

The first drug war was fought because drug use had devastating social effects. It destroyed minds, spread crime and generated misery. The second drug war is being fought by politicians who think that drugs are great, but want to protect the flow of drug money to their narcosocialist regime.

The big pitch for decriminalization was that law enforcement would no longer have to focus on busting dime bag dealers. Prisons would empty now that the hoi polloi would get its drugs from MedMen instead of the dealer on the corner. Gangs would see their revenues disappear. The cartels would break up. Crime would drop. And the Age of Aquarius would finally be upon us.

Nope.

Governor Newsom has declared a second drug war because the majority of drug sales are still black market. In an age where you can swipe right to get pot, government pot is still too expensive. New York’s OTB gambling monopoly went bankrupt and an apocryphal story has the IRS losing money on a Nevada brothel. California is proving that the government can fail at drugs along with sex and gambling.

Compliance costs at the growing level alone were estimated to add $408 in costs per pound.

The Cannabis Advisory Committee's 22-member panel (the government can’t even try to cash in on drugs without a committee consisting of, among others, a fisheries attorney, four union reps for drug workers, and an NAACP president) warned that “Lack of enforcement is creating a thriving environment for the unregulated ‘underground market,’”

Now that we’ve legalized drugs, let’s start cracking down on drugs.

Let’s send out the National Guard to go after anyone who’s growing drugs without using union labor from any of the four unions represented on California’s 22-member cartel committee.

“We believe that this governor is committed to addressing our concerns, and he has a Legislature that is showing their willingness to author bills that will strengthen the regulated market while minimizing the illicit market,” declared the spokesman for the California Cannabis Industry Association.

We used to fight drugs because they were an evil. Now we’re fighting drugs and putting people in prison to protect the financial interests of the California Cannabis Industry Association.

California’s illegal pot market racked up $3.7 billion. That’s money that the narcosocialist regime in Sacramento isn’t getting its manicured hands on.

Here are some scenes from California’s second drug war.

State and city drug enforcement units are busy cracking down on unlicensed drug dealers who don’t want to pay high taxes in Los Angeles. The National Guard has been dispatched to fight unlicensed growers whose workers aren’t paying union dues. Weedmaps, an online app, was ordered to stop listing unlicensed drug dispensaries by the Bureau of Cannabis Control. Weedmaps replied that it isn’t licensed by the BCC, but that the Communications Decency Act, a Federal law meant to fight pornography, allows it to continue listing whatever drug sites it wants to without asking Sacramento’s cartel for permission.

California would have to ask the Federal government to enforce the state’s drug cartel jurisdiction laws against Weedmaps, all of which are completely illegal under the Federal laws that California is defying. But Weedmaps did the smart thing, it hired a lobbying firm run by Governor Newsom’s policy director. Now the lobbies have to fight the drug union bosses over how to best extract drug protection money.

El Chapo had an easier time getting businesses to pay protection money because he didn’t use as many lawyers. Sadly, Chapo doesn’t have a seat on the 22-member cartel committee even though he’s more qualified than all of its members put together, and could straighten out the business in a month.

Governor Newsom wants the Federal government to pay for his drug dealer protection racket. Even as he was pulling troops from the border, he had the chutzpah to send a letter to Trump’s Deputy Secretary of Defense demanding more funding for the “Counterdrug Task Force”, claiming that helping California crack down on “illicit drugs” would address the “root cause” of illegal immigration.

What was he smoking?

Governor Newsom boasts that the California National Guard has seized 71,488 pounds of marijuana. But why should taxpayers pour tens of millions into having the Guard seize pot when it's being sold legally in stores and through apps?

Why are Wisconsin or Idaho taxpayers on the hook for enforcing California’s drug cartel revenues?

Drug legalization has created a small upscale market for California’s wealthy drug users while leaving the rest of the pot marketplace in the hands of the same drug dealers who offer a cheaper product without any of the licensing and regulatory hassles of the booming government cartel. A second drug war is being fought between the government drug cartel, Mexican cartels and unlicensed growers and dealers.

History suggests that the dealers and cartels will win because the government has dismantled all the social deterrents to drug use, boosting public demand and delegitimizing the idea of a war on drugs.

Legalization proponents insisted that wars on drugs don’t work. Then why fight one now?

The Godfather considered drugs a “dirty business”. Don Zaluchi countered that the huge profits from drug dealing were irresistible. “I want to keep it respectable,” he insisted in the classic movie. “I don't want it near schools. I don't want it sold to children!”

California wants to keep it respectable, but that’s impossible. All that’s left is greed and violence.

The second drug war is being fought between the government cartel and unlicensed dealers for control of the market. And it’s being fought by diverting the National Guard from the border for drug profits.

President Trump should take away the National Guard from Sacramento’s narcosocialists. Our soldiers deserve better than acting as enforcers for a government drug cartel instead of protecting America.
