On the hand, they're every bit as extremist as the new crop of Democrats coming right out and calling for Utopia - free health care, free education, green new deal, open borders. Here a trillion, there a trillion...sky's the limit. On the other hand, while they weren't particularly responsible with money themselves, they did hold power, and in the context of the real world.
That meant dealing with an opposition, courts, and other checks and balanes even if President Obama tended to govern by executive order. My Take - Let's stop being coy. The only thing these leftist loons care about is getting elected. They have no moral foundation except for the insane desire to have power. They believe in nothing, so they attack anything that stood in the past and anything that stands now, if the current philosophical flavor of the day gets them votes. They will betray their comrades, they will betray their party and they will betray the nation if that will get them what they want. And 45% of the nation is willing to vote for people who have no moral foundation. And no matter how terrible their plans and schemes work out, that same group of misfits will continue to vote for them.
It's clear the Congress, and the government, is filled with people who hate America. Did you ever wonder why? Because we are funding that insanity through our education systems, from kindergarden right through graduate school. If that isn't brought under control we're doomed.
