On September 19, 2019 Thomas Lifson posted the article, Desperate Dems turning to fatally flawed Warren. Over recent months so many of my customers and friends, on both sides, ask me who I think will be the Democrat nominee. I keep saying Biden. They all laugh, including the Democrats, saying he's lost it. I agree with them, but note that look at those running around him. Biden is a dummy, and a bumbler, but the others are dummies and if they really believe what they're saying, they're insane. So that means Democrats are caught between a Dumbler and lunatics. And I would think Dumbling is better than insane.
Now of course Warren is the hot item for the media right now. Kamala was, but she's so transparently phony that even Diane Feinstien is throwing a fund raiser for Biden in Kamala's home state of California, and apparently is going to have more for him.
Her conduct during the Kavanaugh hearing was revolting to everyone except the far left. As for the second and third tier candidates like Pete, Beto, Spartacus and the rest, they're looking like complete fools.

Bernie has always been an irritating boil on the butt of American politics, and there's a large segment of the population that thinks he's downright traitorous in his views. But so are the rest. They may not be quite as irritating, but they're clearly as dangerous as Bernie to the economic and sovereign health of the nation.
So, now they think Pocahontas is going to be the Chosen one. But she's clearly nuts. This will go down in American history as one of the saddest commentaries on America politics. Never would I have believed so many elected officials in the Congress could clearly and obviously hate America, and work so hard to bring the nation down. Never would I have thought so many would think it was a good idea.
As I've watched this develop I've concluded there are two options that as far as I can tell no one has entertained.
First, Warren and Bernie have enough support between them to overcome Biden. If one of them were to drop out as the Presidential candidate and decide to become the Vice Presidential candidate, that would almost assuredly place both of them on the ticket. I can't see Bernie doing that, and I think Warren has invested to much of herself in this to back away now with anything less that defeat.
The second option could be the result of a hung convention. After enough votes are taken and no one can get the required votes the back room boys may find a Dark Horse Candidate that would be more acceptable to all parties. I think Chuck Shumer could be one such choice. He's a far left loon that's more acceptable to the moderately left loons. He certainly has name recognition.
But being Jewish might be the big draw back since so many Democrats are absolutely antisemitic, except he's hardly a Jew in the traditional sense and the conservative New York City Jews don't like him, and pretty much consider him an apostate. So I don't know what impact any of that would have. However, there are others that could fill that role also, but they need name recognition. And I don't see anyone else with that level of recognition in the Democrat party.

But as the author says about Warren:
Warren does play well with the elites of the Democratic Party. She's almost certainly popular in faculty lounges across America. But while the educated elites control a lot of the levers of power in the party, they don’t vote in numbers sufficient to elect a president. The media loves her because she’s well-spoken and is a woman. But I don’t think she can win without the enthusiastic support of blacks. But the truth of the matter is that could be said of all of them. I can actually see all of these candidates being dumped and a Dark Horse Candidate getting it at the end, but I just can't see who.
