Desperate Embrace At Europe’s Core

By |  January 24th, 2019

Europe’s most powerful personages on Tuesday signed a treaty for the “unification,” of Western Europe’s biggest countries. French President Emmanuel Macron and German Chancellor Angela Merkel inked the deal at Aachen/Aix la Chapelle. It was there in the chapel that Charles de Gaulle and Konrad Adenauer had knelt at Holy Mass to celebrate the signing of the 1963 Franco-German treaty of cooperation that sealed their peoples’ vow of friendship and cooperation. In the ensuing half century, it produced just that. France and Germany became the core of the Common Market and then of the European Union.

Today’s treaty, its pretensions notwithstanding, is between regimes that are overwhelmingly occupied trying, with decreasing success, to fend off domestic challenges to their legitimacy. The treaty is a desperate attempt by France and Germany to change the subject from their internal struggles. Nevertheless, the treaty cannot but have major and deleterious effects on intra-European relations as well as on relations between Europe and the United States........To Read More....

My Take - Well, now the cat is out of the bag.  The EU was all about France and Germany when it started and now the world sees it for what it is.  The reality?  None of this matters because sometime between 2020 and 2030 the EU will be gone and Europe will be in the throes of a massive economic downturn they'll not be able to fix and civil war between ethnic Europeans and Muslims will be rampant.

That will only divide Europeans from their leadership and government even more than what it is now.  Many of Europe's countries will no longer be countries.  I already see that developing in Italy, Spain, Greece and the Balkans.  Europe will revert to the patchwork continent of nations it was for centuries with the different languages and cultures being the binding force for each.  Europe is a geographical designation, and no longer counts!

Europe will descend into economic chaos from which there will be no return to the glories of the past.  Survival will be all they're going to care about, just like post WWII, but there will be no US bailing them out this time.  Bretton Woods will finally be dead.

Also, Russia and China will soon follow as they're economies are blatantly corrupt and will fail without a major market like Europe.  Add restrictions by the United States and they'll collapse just like Venezuela.
