The New York Times is Doomed

Okay, so I've been saying that for years and they still manage to continue fouling up the world of "journalism", which they've been doing for over 100 years.  Here are my commentaries about not only the NYT, but the media as a whole.

But now the NYT story has taken an interesting twist.  It appears "Hundreds of New York Times Staffers Strike Before Election Day", and what are their demands?  And this is really interesting.  These are the techies, a lot of them, 600 in fact, picketing and shouting, “Shut it down”.  Really?  Shut it down?  Remarkable, and if that happens they already have high paying jobs where?   But perhaps they have good reasons for that view, after all they did try to negotiate a settlement and apparently the NYT didn't go it.    So what did the union ask for? 

1. No scented products in break rooms.  
2. Unlimited break time. 
3. Accommodations for pet bereavement.
4. Mandatory trigger warnings in company meetings discussing events in the news. 
5. Non white staffers being paid more to attend conferences.  (A flagrant violation of employment laws)

And the management found these demands outlandish.  Imagine that.   Here's what they offered:

1. A 2.5 percent annual wage increase.  Given inflation that's not that good. 
   
2.  A minimum 5 percent pay increase for promotions.
3. A $1,000 ratification bonus, whatever that means.
4. A promise to maintain the pandemic-era hybrid work schedule of two in-office days per week through June.
5. Allowing staff to work fully remotely for three weeks each year."  

So, you can see why it was necessary to hit the picket lines with outrageous offerings such as this, right?  Actually having to come to work two days a week.  Outrageous!

 

Are they striking over what I would consider an inadequate increase in pay, or the other five idiotic demands?  Who knows, they're leftists, rational thought has little influence on why they do what they do.  

Well, there's a degree of schadenfreude here as the NYT is a hub for promoting far left fantasies, lies, and corruption of thought.  This reminds me of theof misfits who fled Hitler's Germany and contaminated America's universities promoting all the student violence that started in the 60's.  They were shocked when the very students they were corrupting revolted and their classrooms became out of control. 

When the NYT finally does close it's doors, the nation should declare that day a one time national holiday, and the same goes for CNN, MSNBC, CBS, ABC, and the rest of the Pravda media. 

• Fight! Fight! Fight! Vs. Fake, Fake, Fake, .......an assassin kills one Trump-supporter, injures several others, and nearly takes President Trump’s life, and the propaganda press acts as if it never happened.  If that glaring inconsistency does not vividly demonstrate how fake the J6 “insurrection” narrative has been, nothing else can.  Unlike Kamala Harris, Donald Trump was nominated for president through a democratic process, and when democracy actually came under attack, the news media minimized it as a trifle.

Where are the Texas fugitives?

Every morning, I pick up my Dallas Morning News and check the front page.  I can't recall the last time that "The Texas 57" were a headline or front page story.  I don't see them anywhere.   Maybe they are busy Zooming each other in the nation's capital.

President Biden won't see them.  I think that's common sense given that the President is 78 and you don't want him around people who have got COVID.  Nevertheless, the "57" are not happy............The "Texas 57" are facing a few realities:Nobody is talking about them.  At the same time, they get more hysterical every time that someone turns on a microphone; and, the U.S. Congress is not helping much, according to this analysis in the Texas Tribune:    ..........To Read More....

My Take - Let's pause and enjoy this schadenfreude moment.  

Okay, now, let's think about this.  What do they think is going to happen to them when they return to Texas?  

First, they're stiffing their constituents.  The claim there's no taxpayer money in involved for this little hissy fit of childish petulance, but the governor has kept the Texas legislature in session until they return and do their jobs.  Cost?  A million or more, and all of these Texas Legislators, who are still getting paid their salaries, are also getting a per diem rate of $221.00 a day as long as the legislative session continues.  Even if they're not in the state, and now Texas Democrat party is asking people for donations to provide "care packages" for these misfits.  

I wonder just how well this is going to play with their constituents back in Texas in the next election?

Texas Dems’ tangled web

On Monday night another Texas Democrat in the celebrated caucus fleeing Austin to shut down the legislature tested positive for Coronavirus. Having made the rounds in Washington to gladhand fellow Democrats in the corridors of power, the caucus from hell is also spreading the virus. In Washington the caucus has met with kacklin’ Kamala Harris and others to advance the unconstitutional federal takeover of election law.

Kacklin’ Kamala has since tested negative for the virus, but others are kacklin’ no more. They include a White House official and staffer for Nancy Pelosi who tested positive after the staff member helped the delegation around the Capitol last week, according to the Axios story here. Both the White House official and the Pelosi staffer attended the same rooftop reception at the Eaton DC hotel on K Street last week.

A supportive Texas Tribune story drily notes that “the confirmed cases have prompted the delegation to make adjustments for how to continue having such conversations.” If you can stop laughing for a few minutes — if you can put yourself in their place and imagine yourself an exhibitionistic political fool — you may find it all deeply poignant.............To Read More....

My Take - They acted like petulant children and then ended up being fools.  If there ever was a schadenfreude moment...this is it.  

 

Schadenfreude: AOC casts blame on Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg for Capitol riot

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez said that Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg is "part of this problem" surrounding the Capitol riots on January 6, 2021.  In a battle of social media superstars, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez slammed Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg for what she said was his role in fomenting the Jan. 6 riot at Capitol Hill.  “He is part of this problem,” the Democrat said at an online town hall meeting Friday with Bronx and Queens constituents. “And Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook bear partial responsibility for Wednesday’s events, period.”

The social media magnate, she said, has coddled white supremacist groups on Facebook — and even, she charged, attended “dinner parties with white supremacist sympathizers.”  “They specifically treated this type of radicalization differently, aka with kid gloves,” AOC said, pointing to her contentious exchange with Zuckerberg in a congressional hearing in 2019.........To Read More....

My Take - As The left is now being exposed for causing this riot at the capitol, they now need scapegoats.  When are these useful idiots going to learn?  Leftists eliminate the very people who mindlessly supported them and brought them to power.  

 

Lenin did it, Hitler did it and so to will this snot and her handlers.  She might even be sacrificed on the alter of power mongering leftists if it becomes necessary to scramble more eggs.   After all, you can't make an omelet without breaking a few eggs.  

 

As for Zuckerberg?  Well, he clearly suffers from a serious case of weird compounded by a massive infection of ignorance, arrogance and stupid.   And let's face it, you can't fix stupid!  But if it was possible; when stupid is compounded by arrogant ignorance, and a serious case of weird, it's no longer possible.

Sorry, Democrats: Party's Over

There is something deeply satisfying about watching the ironically named Democratic Party consume itself at every turn. I have tried to summon up some human pity for the carnage -- but frankly I just can’t.

If Joe Biden weren’t a corrupt, crude, shallow, self-righteous fondler of people’s children I could probably muster some sympathy for him. There he stands behind the bright blue podium, almost dizzy under the lights, recounting past accomplishments no one ever heard of. He is a creature beyond his time -- a sad figure who has made the subtle crossover from predictable dishonesty into agonized dementia. But Joe is a corrupt, crude, shallow, self-righteous fondler of people’s children. His dementia only makes his ugly nature more apparent. I think they park him next to Bernie mainly to ensure he doesn’t shamble over and sniff Amy Klobuchar’s hair. Joe has fallen in the polls and he can’t get up.

The Kiev Connection: Have the Democrats opened Pandora’s box with successful demand for investigation of foreign influence on the 2016 election?

Democrats may regret their years of hyperventilation over allegations of foreign "collusion" to influence a presidential election. In what amounts to slow-motion political jujitsu, the nefarious acts attributed to the Trump campaign may end up being applied to the Obama administration and Hillary campaign. A formal criminal investigation already is being launched overseas, making an American counterpart investigation awkward to suppress.

Anyone who has paid attention to the genesis of the Mueller investigation understands that it was opposition research paid for by the Democratic Party and Hillary presidential campaign and corrupt senior officials at the FBI that sparked the appointment of the special counsel. But new information developed by John Solomon of The Hill suggests that there was indeed an effort by a foreign government to influence the 2016 election, and that it was the government of Ukraine attempting to sway voters in Hillary's favor. ................

Keep in mind that there are many other potential sources of evidence for turning the Democrats' efforts to rid themselves of President Trump by investigation against them.  President Trump can de-classify and release the FISA warrants that appear to have concealed relevant facts from the Court — a criminal offense — and other information about the corruption at the FBI.

My assumption all along has been that as the most successful reality TV producer in the history of the medium, Donald Trump is managing the "story arc" for maximum effect on the 2020 electorate. Journalistic karma

 In 2014, Kentucky coal miners found themselves unemployed after Michael Bloomberg funneled tens of millions into an anti-coal campaign, but journalists were there to help. Article after article started appearing in publications from ABC to NPR and everything in between offering unsolicited advice to these blue-collar workers: learn to code. Now, when faced with their own economic uncertainty after massive job cuts to their own industry, fired journalists are not happy to be offered the same unsolicited advice.........Now the tables have turned in what can only be described as cosmic justice, and journalists from platforms like Huffington Post and Buzzfeed are finding themselves begging for jobs on Twitter. Commenters weren’t forgetting their advice from years ago and began suggesting that they follow it by educating themselves..........Talia Lavin has even gone so far as to call the internet comments advising her to learn to code  “coordinated harassment” and has the audacity to place herself as a victim being targeted. ....... To Read More

My Take - Schadenfreude!  I love all these leftists who have all the answers.....until reality strikes and then they don't even know the questions.  Let's face it.  With the Internet and bloggers galore the public has come to realize these "journalists" lie......a lot.....and have been doing so forever.  The reason people read blogs is because they no longer trust the media, and rightly so, recognizing so many of them as nothing more than left wing propagandists. 

Bloggers provide interesting insights to the world.  Many are experts in certain fields and can take an opposing view of the media's "consensus" view of the world intelligently.  Many are self-educated.  Many are readers who've become quite knowledgeable in other fields.  Many are only interested in seeing that the truth gets out there, much to the dismay of Dan Rather and many other "journalists". 

Neocons are called liberals who've been smacked in the face by reality.  I wonder what you call a journalist whose been smacked in the face with reality?  At this point they have two options.  Get a real job or become an anarchist.

Isn't This Time For a Little Schadenfreude?

As you read the articles in he next post from Benny Peiser's Global Warming Policy Foundation I would like for everyone to do a little history with me. 

 

When all this claptrap about solar and wind “renewable” energy first became popular ie was during the Carter Administration.  Why?  We were running out of oil and pollution was cooling the planet and we were going into another ice age, with absolutely fatal consequences to human civilization.  It didn’t’ happen, we didn’t’ run out of oil and solar and wind energy was an abject failure. 

Now we have more claptrap about solar and wind “renewable” energy and the reason’s given is we’re running out of all traditional energy sources and the rise in CO2 is warming the planet to the point we’re all going to roast, devastating humanity. 

 

Well, it’s turned out we’re not only ‘not’ running out of fossil fuels, we have enough proven reserves to last for decades to come, the CO2 levels the last 20 years has risen dramatically and yet the tiny rise that was occurring stopped 18 years ago, and may actaully be reversing.  Ergo – temperature and CO2 have nothing to do with one another. 

 

Now we’ve been shown over the last ten years all the data and predictions from the warmers were either based on lies or computer models which were filled with inadequate data, a fact many believe – including me – was done deliberately to get a preconceived result.  And now every one of those model predictions has failed to materialize, except in reverse. 

So for those of us who have believed from the very beginning this was just another green scam filled with lies, and speculatory predictions based on those lies, I have a question.

Isn’t this time for a little Schadenfreude now?

A Little Schadenfreude on the Side Please

Today I posted another one of Alan Caruba’s articles that is a harbinger of the eventual obituary of Anthropogenic Climate Change. There are those who have taken pride in the fact that they were "deniers" and "skeptics" from the very beginning.  Alan was one of them and I am happy to say that I was also. It turns out that there was a lot more of us than the media would have you believe. I am watching this unfold with a degree of schadenfreude.

What is really interesting is to watch those bloggers and writers who have been the most arrogant, most obnoxious and the most adamant that we all accept this "theory", lie and contort logic to maintain their position. If you analyze their arguments you find that they are full of red herring fallacies and the fallacy known as an appeal to authority. That has been their real position from the start and it failed; yet they continue to toot that horn because they have nothing else.

When I hear leaders toot this horn I have to wonder at their intelligence and integrity. Especially when they quote the idea that over 95% of all scientists agree on this.   That has been shown over and over again to be based on a small number of scientists and a further twisting of truth and logic.  Why in the world do they cling to that?  Lack of intelligence, lack of integrity or both.  Both are disqualifying qualities to be a real leader.

Recognizing the lack of validity on this issue wasn’t all that hard. You didn’t even need all that science that shows how false it was. AGW failed the test of history. In times past it was substantially warmer than it is today. Why? There was very little in the way of “industrialization” then! Then we have to ask; did all the things they are predicting for today occur then? The answer is a resounding NO! So why should we believe that these things would occur today? We shouldn’t! The final piece of information everyone should have been looking at from the beginning was who was supporting this scientific fraud? The irrational and misanthropic green movement, socialists, grant chasing scientists, corrupt politicians and bureaucrats (well, more corrupt) and businessmen  (also corrupt) who would profit from all of this.

Years ago I predicted that this issue was going to be the turning point for the green movement's credibility with the public. They put all of their eggs in a basket that was full of holes. If the internet had been in existence during the Montreal Protocol days it would have suffered the same fate as the Kyoto Accords are now. Now the green movement has lost all credibility with a large segment of the public, the media is thought of more contemptuously than ever in the past (hard to believe) and scare mongering doesn’t work so easily any more. At the end of this story careers and reputations will be destroyed, and the professional devastation will be in the camp of the warmers. It just bothers me that they won’t be prosecuted for fraud. That would be a gigantic step forward in stopping future actions such as this.
