Leftists Alarmed At Trump Hopes For Mideast Peace

No sooner has the Arab-Israel Spring started to blossom than the Leftists are up in arms. Gulf capitals now formalizing relations with Jerusalem are, they complain, ruled by non-democratic bad guys. Exhibit a: Bahrain, where a Sunni minority, backed by Saudi Arabia, rules over restive Shiite population.

Bahrain has just announced that it will join the United Arab Emirates Tuesday at a White House ceremony, where President Trump and his top Mideast aide and son in law, Jared Kushner, are scheduled to host Prime Minister Netanyahu and the U.A.E.’s foreign minister, Abdullah bin Zaid. In the event, the first peace agreement between (now two) Arab countries and the Jewish state in a quarter century will be sealed with hand shakes.

Mr. Trump hints of more to come. Saudi Arabia, vying for leadership in the region, is the big prize. The U.A.E., and certainly Bahrain, wouldn't have signed on without its blessing, but, even as it allows for Israeli flights over its skies, Riyadh has yet to join them.

Critics won’t be inaccurate in noting the failures of the Gulf’s emirates, sultanates ,and theocracies involved in this breakthrough. Yet haven’t those same critics for years insisted that “you make peace with enemies”? Don’t they push the line that there can be no true peace before Jerusalem comes to terms with the Palestinian Authority, which similarly fails the paragon-of-democracy, benevolent-ruler test?.............To Read More.....

Various of the numberless swarm of presidential aspirants in that party have glibly chimed in with their views of how to modify American government to assure a permanent “progressive” majority. Gathering steam now are absurd ideas to side-step the Electoral College, pack the Supreme Court, lower the voting age to 16, and divide the political rubble heap of California into three or four states to create more Democratic senators.

A Modern Day Fable – Hillaryland

Not so long ago, and not too far away, there lived in a swamp in a place called Hillaryland a wicked and evil witch. The witch of Hillaryland was angry at the world because she felt that she was being denied something that belonged to her, something that she felt she was entitled to. Something that she had devoted her whole life to achieving, only to be prevented at the last second from attaining her life-long goal. To put it bluntly, she wanted to rule the world and all of it’s people. But she had been trumped at the last minute by destiny.
 

Also in Hillaryland lived a man who was particularly untalented at much of anything, suited at most to be nothing more than a Court Jester. But what he did have was an engaging smile, and as long as he had someone prompting him on what to say he could almost sound intelligent. Almost.
 

The witch hated the Court Jester because several years earlier he had come to Hillaryland out of nowhere and ended up preventing her from completing her first attempt at ruling the world. And while he certainly wasn’t capable of even ruling Hillaryland much less the world – after all he was just a Court Jester, everybody laughed at him – his arrival prevented the witch from ruling.
 

The witch, being the most dishonest, corrupt, and despicable individual to ever try to rule the world; she decided to bide her time and patiently wait for her opportunity to rise to power. It’s a good thing President Trump canceled the Democrats’ overseas excursion this weekend because Representative Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) has some work to do here at home. For starters, he needs to take a red pen to his memo that defended the deceptive tactics used by the FBI to obtain a FISA warrant on Trump campaign aide Carter Page days before the 2016 presidential election.

The new chairman of the House Intelligence Committee authored a memo dated January 28, 2018, ironically titled, “Correcting the Record—The Russia Investigation.” But it is Schiff who needs to correct his own record in light of new and damaging information that contradicts several claims he made in that document..........To Read More.....

Manny’s, a new business in San Francisco’s Mission District, is part cafe, part bookstore, part political event hall. Owner Manny Yekutiel, a 29-year-old rising star in the world of liberal political organizing, calls it a “civic social gathering space.” 

It’s hosted incoming House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, San Francisco Mayor London Breed, activists with Black Lives Matter — and on the sidewalk outside, protesters upset because Yekutiel is a “Zionist gentrifer.” 

“Zionists out of the Mission!” one marcher yelled on Wednesday, Dec. 26, as about 20 members of the Lucy Parsons Project and allied groups gathered outside Manny’s.

Apparently, the creeps doing this couldn't find any Trumpsters to harass, so Manny got it.  This, frankly, is brownshirt stuff............. Now open Nazi tactics against anyone who supports Israel is out there as the avant-garde setting the tone............ Is it part of the crackup of the left........... and how the left always eats its own here? Many of the leftists upset at the Democrats, Bernie-ites and others, aren't embarrassed at all about their open embrace of anti-Semitism and if Manny is aligned with Pelosi, as his events page suggests, is he a target because he's seen as part of her establishment?

I’ts time to update the GOP’s Marquess of Queensbury Rules. If you saw Ruth Bader Ginsburg at Brett Kavanaugh’s swearing-in ceremony, you know that we may need to fill her seat in about 4 1/2 minutes. Naturally, I hope she lives to be 300 – although parenthetically, it seems she already has.

The confirmation hearings for Kavanaugh made Robert Bork’s hearings look like a day at the beach. At least liberals only lied about Bork’s judicial philosophy. They didn’t accuse him of being Ted Bundy. The next nomination hearing will make Kavanaugh’s look like an ice cream social.
Just because it didn’t work this time doesn’t mean Republicans’ work is done. They have to make sure this never happens again.

Democrats are already pushing the idea that Kavanaugh’s confirmation was somehow illegitimate because of the shoddy FBI investigation. From the moment that Trump won, liberals sought to overturn the election and invalidate his presidency. To say Judge Brett Kavanaugh has been accused, judged, and convicted in the court of public opinion is an understatement. Rule of law be damned. In fact, Judge Kavanaugh's accuser and her enablers have obliterated any fairness or equity as these apply to the foundational legal belief mandating that everyone in society be considered innocent until proven guilty. Senate Judiciary Committee members Senators Kamala Harris and Amy Klobuchar, both former prosecutors, have decreed that reasonable doubt does not apply in the case of the accuser's claim of sexual assault. Incredible as it may sound, her accusation doesn't need to be proven, either. In summation, Dr. Christine Blasey Ford simply made the accusation, therefore it must be true............Make no mistake: crafting this debacle began months ago and was set into motion just after Judge Kavanaugh's formal questioning ended.  Senator Feinstein admitted publicly she's been aware of Dr. Ford's letter since July.  Not surprisingly, and days after the accuser's revelation, Senator Feinstein also stated that she can't attest that the information contained within the letter is truthful.  In other words; Senator Feinstein is attempting to establish plausible deniability.  Sorry, Senator, but it's a little late for that – it was you who unleashed the maelstrom..............To Read More

Sen. Hirono: Men, collectively, are guilty

There are three crimes that I consider worthy of capital punishment: murder, rape, and treason. I consider forcible rape to be one of the most heinous crimes that can be committed against another human being. In my view, forcible rape deserves to be a capital offense. Any person proven guilty of forcibly raping another person should be executed. I suspect that many people would not agree with my view on this. But I state it for perspective. I consider sexual assault to be a very serious crime. Not deserving to be classified a capital offense in most cases, but, nevertheless, deserving of very harsh punishment...........

Though he's yet to be afforded an opportunity to present a defense before the American people, many Democrats have already tried and convicted Judge Brett Kavanaugh on charges of sexual assault.

Christine Blasey Ford is accusing Brett Kavanaugh of forcing himself on her at 1982 party somewhere in Montgomery County, Md. Kavanaugh has released statements denying the allegation. Neither party has yet to provide full testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee.

No matter.

Kavanaugh, many Democrats say, is clearly guilty.

Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-N.Y.) said Thursday: "I believe her because she is telling the truth and you know it by her story."   "Judge Kavanaugh has not asked to have the FBI review the claims," Gillibrand added. "Is that the reaction of an innocent person? It is not." When Sen. Duckworth (D-Ill.) was asked about Kavanaugh denying the accusation, the senator responded, "Well, I have heard, you know, many, many predators say and refute allegations against them."   Former spokesman for Bernie Sanders and CNN contributor, Symone Sanders, said she didn't even need to wait for more information: "For me there is no debate. My Take - So, Gillibrand "knows" she's telling the truth....really?  How does she know that?  She knows that because Kavanaugh hasn't asked the FBI to investigate him.  Huh? 

And where and when did Kavanaugh ever lie under oath?  I can't find it anywhere but a spokesperson for Bernie Sander somehow knows he's lied "multiple times under oath".  If there ever was an event putting leftist hypocrisy and their unhinged thinking on parade....this is it. 

Others in this article insist they believe her for multiple reasons, but not one thing they say shows any they believe her because the evidence is insurmountable.  And there's a reason for that.  The evidence keeps shifting and crumbling.

Gillibrand: Asking Kavanaugh’s Accuser to Testify ‘Is Silencing Her’

Giving Christine Blasey Ford the opportunity to testify about her unsubstantiated accusations of sexual assault against Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh is, somehow, silencing her, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY) declared Wednesday night.

Refusing to launch an FBI investigation into Ford’s claims is also “silencing her,” Sen. Gillibrand said in a tweet:

“Denying Dr. Ford an FBI investigation is silencing her. Forcing her into a sham hearing is silencing her. And pushing through Brett Kavanaugh’s confirmation is silencing her.”

Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) has offered Ford four options:

1. A public hearing;
2. A private hearing;
3. A public staff interview; or
4. A private staff interview.

"I am even willing to have my staff travel to Dr. Ford in California -- or anywhere else -- to obtain her testimony," Grassley said, noting that Judge Kavanaugh "immediately agreed to cooperate" and he sat for a transcribed interview, under penalty of felony, on Monday...........To Read More....

Chris Hayes Compares The Republicans' Deadline Given To Kavanaugh's Accuser To Her Actually Getting Raped

MSNBC’s Chris Hayes made a comparison between the Republican-set deadline for Christine Blasey Ford to decide whether she wants to testify in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee and an actually rape on Friday night.

He tweeted, “So even though Dr Ford is saying please stop, slow down, I’m not comfortable with the way this is going, the GOP is gonna plow through, ignore her telling them to stop and just take what they think is rightfully theirs?”
