Nothing offends people more than unequal justice -- disparate treatment of protected persons and classes. This week, the FBI and Department of Justice’s hash of equal justice became even clearer and the media’s fat thumb on the scales as well.

If you read nothing else this week, read this essay by Lord Conrad Black in the New York Sun, who links the Special Counsel fiasco and the Jussie Smollett hoax and concludes that we just avoided the “biggest constitutional crisis since the Civil War”:

The authors, accomplices, and dupes of this attempted overthrow of constitutional government are now well along in reciting their misconduct without embarrassment or remorse because -- in fired FBI Director James Comey’s formulation -- a “higher duty” than the oath they swore to uphold the Constitution compelled them. Or -- in fired FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s words -- “the threat” was too great. Never mind that the nature of “the threat” was that the people might elect someone he and Mr. Comey disapproved of as president, and that that person might actually serve his term, as elected........................

He asserts, and I agree, that the defamation campaign against the president continues with the now-debunked tale of racism by the Covington students and the thoroughly debunked tale of assault on Jussie Smollett.

I believe the concept of “hate crimes” is an oxymoron. If you assault or murder someone it’s fair to assume it was out of improper animus. Adding a kicker for “hate” in which attacks on certain classes of people result in enhanced sentences strikes me as an improper “thought crime” punishment, inconsistent with constitutional law...........

Why the Washington Post has got to be worried about the quarter-billion-dollar defamation lawsuit filed by Nick Sandmann and his parents

Jeff Bezos, the richest person in the world and owner of the Washington Post, is about to encounter Kentucky justice, and I suspect he is not going to be happy with it.

The parents of Nick Sandmann chose well in hiring renowned lawyer L. Lin Wood, who won over $5 million from NBC over its coverage of Richard Jewell during the Olympic Park bombing incident.

Wood and associated counsel launched a lawsuit in federal court in Covington, Kentucky (the Eastern District of Kentucky, Northern Division).According to the Diocese of Covington, 18% of the area's population is Catholic. The Eastern District Court of Kentucky is within the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, which is based in Cincinnati, generally regarded as the most conservative major metropolitan area in the United States.

The results of an independent investigation into the January 18, 2019 Lincoln Memorial confrontation between leftist activist Nathan Phillips, black supremacist group the Black Hebrew Israelites and students from Covington Catholic High School were released Wednesday by Greater Cincinatti Investigation, Inc.

The report, which is four pages long, shows what everyone could have known initially if the time was taken to reach for context: Covington students didn't use a single racial slur against either Phillips or the Black Hebrew Israelites and they didn't instigate the confrontation. In fact, it was the opposite.
"We found no evidence of offensive or racist statements by students to Mr. Phillips or members of his group,” the report states. My Take - As you watch the video that appears at the bottom left of this site the first thing you have to be thinking is - this drumb beater is a ignorant, rude, stupid misfit.  He imposes himself on these polite young people and the media condemns the polite people.  We need to stop being saps.....why is that so hard to get?

One more thing.  What do you think would have happened if these kids had been Hells Angels and this loser pulled this stunt?  What do you think would have happened if this was a Gay Rights march and he pulled this stunt?

Covington kid Nick Sandmann’s lawyer: ‘Nathan Phillips will be sued’

One of the most disgusting phony propaganda gambits to discredit Trump supporters is to face the civil justice system, where the truth will come out. Most AT readers already know that a wide array of media and political figures have been put on notice that they will be sued for libel of Nick Sandmann, the parochial school kid who was approached by Indian “elder” Nathan Phillips, who drummed inches from his face. Based on edited video, Sandmann was vilified as the aggressor.

But now comes word that in addition to media outlets, writers and politicians, Phillips himself will be sued.  This is important not for the monetary damages at stake, because Phillips shows no signs of having any financial resources, but because he will be placed under oath and questioned, where he will have to face videotape evidence of his behavior, contrasted with what he has said to the media. Steve Jalsevac reports in Life Site News:...........Naturally, the media would prefer that this examination of their accuracy and bias just go away. But that will not happen, thanks to the civil justice system. Federal courts do not permit video cameras, but many state courts do. Last month’s incident involving the boys from Kentucky’s Covington Catholic High School at the Lincoln Memorial may be over — but the legal battle has just begun.

Attorneys for Covington junior Nick Sandmann made a splash this week when they sent letters to 54 news outlets, lawmakers, celebrities, media figures and Catholic institutions asking them to preserve information related to the episode and warning of a possible lawsuit.

“There was a rush by the media to believe what it wanted to believe versus what actually happened,” attorney Todd McMurtry told The Cincinnati Enquirer.

Libel and defamation cases are notoriously difficult to win, but Mr. McMurtry is working with famed attorney L. Lin Wood of Atlanta, who represented the family of 1996 murder victim JonBenet Ramsey as well as Richard Jewell, the falsely accused Olympic Park bomber.

“I think the whole fighting-back part benefits Sandmann in some way, to restore his reputation in the court of public opinion as well as in the court of law,” said Clay Calvert, who teaches media law at the University of Florida..........To Read More....

Members of a black supremacist group known as The House of Israel set off the confrontation in Washington, D.C. last week that created a national media firestorm. Many in the media, however, were all too anxious to blame the clash on white Catholic high school students from Kentucky who were in the nation’s capital to participate peacefully in the annual March for Life.

 

The media vultures pounced on an out-of-context video clip that appeared to show the students disrespecting a Native American elder very nearby who had approached them while chanting and beating on a drum. Once a longer video emerged, however, it was clear that the black supremacists who were in the same vicinity, not the Catholic students, were the culprits.

Nathan Phillips, the Native American activist who falsely accused Covington Catholic High School students of blocking him during a confrontation he initiated, has a criminal record — including assault and escape from jail — and appears to have misrepresented his military service.

Phillips, 63, suggested high school junior Nick Sandmann, the teenager at the center of the viral encounter after separate D.C. rallies, face expulsion for failing to "accept any responsibility” or apologize to Phillips publicly.

To recap, Sandmann, is a student from Covington Catholic High School in Kentucky.........a white, male, heterosexual, pro-life, Catholic Trump supporter wearing a red pro-Trump “Make America Great Again” baseball cap made an irresistible target for the nation’s howling outrage brigades...............Sandmann is a living embodiment of everything today’s Left’s despises –whites, males, straights, Catholics, and especially Trump supporters— somehow the young man’s remarkably restrained, mature posture turned into a threat to the republic in the minds of leftists.

Jihadist, Jew-hating congresswoman Ilhan Abdullahi Omar (D-Minn.) joined the lynch mob, spreading the provable lie that the pro-life kids chanted “it’s not rape if you enjoy it” and deliberately antagonized black counter-protesters.

The students attended the March for Life last weekend and were confronted by a kooky group called the Black Hebrew Israelites at the Lincoln Memorial, who hurled obscenities at them. The students did sports chants to drown out the vulgarity. Nathan Phillips, a Native American man, approached the group of kids and beating a drum with the intention of diffusing the situation. This turned into ‘a bunch of white kids harassed a Native American,’ which set the Internet on fire. Of course, that was fake news. There was no racism, no harassment, and no chants of “build the wall.” It has been refuted, but the kids were white, Catholic, and wore Make America Great Again hats. They must be marked for termination. They cannot be allowed to live.

As a lawyer, one of my most important jobs is telling people “No,” as in “No, you got shafted and lied about by scummy people but you have no remedy in the courthouse.” I tell that to a lot of people all the time. The hard fact is that you don’t want to get into any lawsuit if you can help it, and you especially don’t want to get into one that you can’t win. And when it comes to lawsuits over damage to your reputation, you mostly can’t win...........So, can the Covington Kids sue? The short answer – yes............It’s a new age. It’s brought forth new atrocities. We need to decide as a society whether we are going to accept this dreadful phenomenon or stamp it out by making the perpetrators pay. If the old legal framework cannot right this wrong, then we need to create a new legal framework that will. And you do that by suing the hell out of them.

A cellphone video that checked all the boxes on the liberal media’s insidious game of identity politics score sheet was recently captured in Washington D.C., and it caught some conservative sites and writers in the unsurprising web the liberal media messily spun.   The story involving some students from a Catholic Kentucky high school supposedly confronting a Native American activist with a reported military service past had all the desired variables. It included whites, males, religion, abortion (March for Life), a protected class (Elderly Native American veteran), and the best visual of all for the liberal media—people involved wearing the Make America Great Again hat. It was visual overload for the salivating, race hustling, agenda-driven liberal press.  It came complete with a bonus—the ability to drag President Trump into the narrative and smear him.  Finding this story was like hitting the identity politics lottery.

A Covington High School mother is speaking out about the viral video clip depicting an encounter between a group of pro-life teen boys, and a Native American activist.  On Tuesday’s “Fox and Friends,” Jill Hamlin described what initially lead up to the confrontation. She explained that the teens from the all-boys’ Catholic school in Kentucky had attended the March for Life, as they do every year, and found themselves being verbally attacked at the Lincoln Memorial by a group called the Black Hebrew Israelites.

Covington Disgrace: Corruption of the Left

The left is utterly contemptible in all it does.  What's disturbing is how cowardly those who should be supporting these kids have crawled under the rock with these leftist worms, and I include the cravens at the Covington diocese, and these contemptible virtue signaling false conservatives, like Bill Kristol who deleted his tweet and yet fails to apologize for jumping on phony story of MAGA hat kids harassing Native American.  It seems no guts and not glory Bill Kristol was willing to "courageously" attack these innocent kids, but lacks the courage and integrity to say he was wrong and then attack the leftists and propagandists who promoted this lie. 

Here is a list of what I've found that's written thus far.  There's more of course, but I think this is enough to establish just how disgusting and degenerate is the left and their propaganda machine known as the media. 

Take your time and review it all.  The first article is profound and provocative, it's also shows just how scary and insane are the left, and how violent they are, and that insane violent streak penetrates every part of their social strata. 

They're the fascists.....we really need to get that.  And we need to understand just how dangerous they are.  I do fear this is going to lead to the kind of violence we haven't seen since the Civil War and pre-Civil War era. 

Can we be thankful if we live in Ohio?  We may not even be immune at some point, after all, this was in our Southern neighbor, Kentucky, and Covington is only 100 miles away from Columbus, Ohio.
