Rep. Omar: ‘This Is Not Going to Be the Country of White People’

At a Capitol Hill press conference held to demand that President Donald Trump be censured for tweeting about the well-documented anti-Semitism of Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), left-wing activists joined with Omar to denounce the president, and the representative declared that America was founded on “the history of Native American genocide.”

Omar added that Trump’s “demented views” are not welcome and that America “is not going to be the country of white people.”

“We are collectively saying [to Trump], your vile attacks [and] your demented views are not welcome here,” said Omar at the event #InDefenseOfIlhan. “This is not going to be the country of the xenophobics. This is not going to be the country of white people.”

“This is not going to be the country of the few,” said Omar. “This is the country of the many. This is the country that was founded on the history of native American Genocide and on the backs of black slaves, but also, by immigrants.” ...........To Read More...
