Take California out of the mix and what do we get? Republicans collected 1.88 million more than the Democrats. So using their logic - should at least one Senate Democrat chosen by the people of their state - Oh, let's just say Chuck Shumer - have to give up his seat because it's unfair, unjust or even undemocratic for the Democrats to have as many seats as they have when there was no Republican candidate in California? How about this? Extending this bit of insanity to it's extreme - if in every state the Republicans took more votes than Democrats, the Democrats must give up a seat from some other state?
Imagine that, no Republican candidate in California for the Senate, and the Democrat still won by only won by a mere 8 million votes. Kind of reminds me of the old USSR when Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev won all the votes running against.....well....no one.
Hey....I just had a thought. The lefties in California are talking secession. Now, how's that for a really good argument for the Soviet Socialist State of California leaving the nation? Of course they would have to figure out who's going to pay for everything if that happened. Oh, wait, I know, I know. Illegal immigrants in the sanctuary cities! Right? Sound good to you? Sounds good to me!
Liberals love the idea of changing the Constitution by judicial fiat but despise the idea of actually amending the Constitution through the amendment process as outlined in the Constitution.
The same applies across the board with lefties. It wasn't so long ago these brand new leftist Constitutional doomsayers were praising Obama and his "phone and pen" approach to government - and the Democrats refusal to pass an annual budget as required by the Constitutional - are now crying conservative tyranny because he's not choosing liberals to be in his Cabinet in the name of diversity. Name one conservative picked to run any part of government in his administration! There are none! Why didn't the left get outraged about that? Not one word about diversity for eight years from the left, and it never occurred to the right it should be different. After all, it was his administration.
The same who cried "obstructionists" against anything done by conservatives are now demanding Trump give them the same kind of department heads and Supreme Court Justices as he ran against or they'll "obstruct" his choices.
For decades the Democrats have resorted to calling those who disagree with them traitors for trying to rein in an out of control central government. They claim the Tea Party is as dangerous as terrorists and secessionists attempting to destroy the Constitution and the Union. A Constitution they've eviscerated for decades.
It's being claimed Trump is going to restore the Constitution. That's a welcome change, but he can't do it alone. If the members of Congress don't stand up on their hind legs and dig in tendentiously against the ravages of leftists and their allies nothing will change for long, and that change has to start with his first Supreme Court pick.
Then and only then can the Constitution be the infernal force, an unending irritation standing against leftist depravations of Constitutionally guaranteed rights of Americans, as was intended by the founding fathers.
There's a new sheriff in town and he's not the least bit of concerned about what the left and their propaganda machine - the main stream media - thinks. The bloggers are now the real source of information and the Internet is King.
Let's hope he's concerned about what bloggers think.
