You Can't Handle the Truth: Part IV

 Since tomorrow will be my last post for 2022, I thought I had better get this one out now.  So far I've posted three articles with the titled theme, You Can't Handle the Truth!, You Can't Handle the Truth! Part II and You Can't Handle the Truth: Part III, mostly, but not all, dealing with the invertebrate failure of Republican leaders. 

 Well, this continues in this vein, and I'm inclined to think this won't he the end of this series because it's clear philosophically the Republican party leadership does not want to change the direction they've been going all these years lying to the base when running and turning into enablers of leftist insanity once elected.  And with the exposure of the RNC's reckless spending it's clear there's not all that much difference between the corruption of the Democrats and the Republicans.

I've been asked more than once what I think the difference is between the Democrats and the Republicans.  I said the Democrats want to steal and waste all you money and control every aspect of your life right now, and the Republicans are willing to be patient and wait a week or two.   

Let's start with the $1.7 Trillion, 4,155-page omnibus bill this lame duck Congress is wanting to push down everyone's throat.  Four thousand and one hundred and fifty five pages of corruption, that no one will have time to read, but what has been read is extraordinary. 

 Let's meet the Senate RINOs who voted to advance this massive stinking bag of pus:

Blunt, Boozman, Capito, Collins, Cornyn, Cotton, Graham, Grassley, Hyde-Smith, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Romney, Rounds, Rubio, Shelby, Thune, Tuberville, Wicker and Young.

Some of whom are considered "conservatives", like Rubio, Thune and Grassley.  While Grassley and Graham have the tendency to bounce back and forth giving little confidence in either of these two, I had no delusions about the others, and now small confidence in Rubio, and should that surprise us?

Rob Bluey in his December 19 article, No Surprise: Republicans Won’t Hold Biden accountable states:

In just two weeks, Republicans will control the U.S. House of Representatives. They’ll be able to conduct oversight of the Biden administration that’s badly needed after two years of unified Democrat government.  And yet, even before House Republicans get the gavel, they are about to lose their leverage to hold the Biden administration accountable.   Why? At least 10 big-government Senate Republicans are likely to join Democrats to approve the massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill in Congress this week.  Doing so would undermine one of the House GOP’s campaign promises. When rolling out the “Commitment to America” in September, Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., made government accountability a core pillar of the plan.

Ear marks are back, and one of them will allot over $500 Million to murder babies.  Their justification? Population growth may “threaten biodiversity”.  In short, plants, bugs and animals will take priority over human life.  

And Republicans voted for that? 

Passing Omnibus Means FBI ‘Unaccountable’ for Twitter Files“: 

This FBI is out of control. … Who is funding this? I mean, Congress has to step up in the next few days and say, we’ve got to wait until January to fund these government agencies, or else they’re going to continue to be unaccountable.”

Omnibus Allocates Hundreds of Millions for J6 Prosecutions, FBI 

U.S. attorneys will see a $212.1 million increase in funding over FY2022 levels, “including to further support prosecutions related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and domestic terrorism cases,” a summary from the House Appropriations Committee states. 

And Republicans voted for that?

Not only are the Senate Republicans being Democrat enablers, they're partakers also, as retiring Inhofe slips $511 million into $1.7 trillion legislation.  What does he want?  Well, here are some of the bigger earmarks for Inhofe:

• $114 million for the Air Force for KC-46A 1 Bay Depot Corrosion Control Hangar
• $90 million for the Air Force KC–46A 2–Bay Program Depot Maintenance Hangar
• $86 million for the Army Advance Individual Training Complex Phase 2  in Oklahoma
• $40 million for the Tulsa International Airport (TUL) Air Traffic Control Tower

The omnibus spending bill also includes $45 billion in military and economic aid for Ukraine, which Inhofe has been a vocal advocate for despite Americans’ declining support for entanglement in Ukraine.

This is for a Pentagon that has out on control and unaccounted for spending. The Pentagon can’t even account for most of its assets.  If any business in America operated like they do they'd end up broke and probably in jail.

GOP Rep. Dan Bishop reveals ‘some of the most egregious provisions’ in Dems’ massive omnibus bill with massive give aways and hugely expanded health care costs, which we can't pay for now.  It also forbids improving border security, while at the same time allocating $410 million towards border security for Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman. 

And Republicans voted for that?

When you read where Dem Sen. Murphy says the Omnibus Bill Won’t Be Extraordinarily Inflationary because much of this money is going overseas, it's because 40 billion is allotted to Ukraine, and "$1,438,000,000 for membership in global multilateral organizations, including the UN."  Out of a 1.7 trillion dollar spending bill about 1.5 trillion will go to those who aren't even Americans.  Even Palestinian terrorists will be compensated for being....well....terrorists, as the Palestinian Authority will receive, either through this package or some other corrupt deal, nearly $1 billion in aid.  Which is in violation of American law, "the Taylor Force Act...... prevents taxpayer funds from being given to an entity that supports terrorism". 

And Republicans voted for that?  

It turns out resistance to McCarthy's run for Speaker of the House has had some effect, as McCarthy supports  House conservatives who threaten revenge if RINO Senators vote for the Omnibus Bill.

It's the House that controls the purse, not the Senate, but if McCarthy wins the Speakership just how reliable will he be when the pressure starts to mount?  I've little confidence in McCarthy, and total distaste for McConnell who claims ...... now get this..... America's 'Number One Priority' is helping Ukraine.  

• Not a reduction is spending.  
• Not a reduction is government overreach.  
• Not a reduction in taxes.  
• Not out of control crime. 
• Not out of control illegal immigration. 
• Not the rising cost of energy. 
• Not the rising cost of virtually everything as a result of inflation that's quickly becoming uncontrolled because of all this massive and insane spending.  

No, it's defense of Ukraine.  Could anything make it more clear how corrupt and out of touch he is with reality and a total failure as a leader?  As Andrea Widburg states: 

Slightly over a month ago, 37 out of 49 Senate Republicans re-elected Mitch McConnell as their leader.  Yesterday, speaking on behalf of those Republicans, McConnell stated in the clearest terms possible what matters to the GOP: Ukraine.  During a time of economic upheaval, border breakdown, soaring crime, and rising energy costs, it's Ukraine that matters..........And there you have it.  You were not imagining it.  When it comes to what matters to our elected politicians, it's not you.

And the Republicans in the Senate voted for him because Senate Republicans could care less about you.  Imagine that!

Bipartisanship or Gridlock? I'll Take Gridlock

Over the years I've been asked what's the difference between Democrats and Republicans, and my answer is that Democrats want to take all your money and control every aspect of your life, and they want to do it right now. Republicans are willing to wait a week or two. Admittedly that's a bit trite, but it also demonstrates what's wrong with both parties. 

The Democrats are now out and out Marxists, and no matter how insane their views my be, at least they absolutely know what they think and what they want, all of which should be fought tooth and nail.  The Republicans, as a party, are clueless, and what's most disturbing is the electorate is even more clueless.  

If you take out the blatantly provable fact Democrats are being elected all over the nation via massive and nationally organized efforts at , you then have to believe the public is actually voting for Democrats.  Because if they are, that means they're in love with massive national debt, high energy costs, inflation, unbridled immigration, crime and drug gangs running out of control, overbearing regulations, medical tyranny, a totally collapsed and incompetent education system turning out propagandized dunderheads, a national policy to create victims who will receive taxpayer funded lifestyles and a massive overpaid under worked bureaucracy that is stunningly incompetent.   And the Republican leadership is party to all that, and has been for decades.

Currently there are two stories that play into this which are important. Spending, and Republican leadership in the House.  Since the Senate has already compromised any idea they're conservative and fiscally responsible with their choice of Mitch McConnell as their leader, the Republican's choice for Speaker of the House is the story, along with their latest budget spending frenzy for a  $1.7 Trillion Funding Deal:

Key lawmakers on Tuesday announced that they had struck a deal on the framework for funding the government through the end of the current fiscal year, with government funding set to run out on Friday. Retiring Senate Appropriations Chair Patrick Leahy (D-VT) announced that appropriators have “reached a bipartisan, bicameral framework that should allow us to finish an omnibus appropriations bill that can pass the House and Senate and be signed into law by the President,” according to Politico.

A deal that will contain Over 7,500 earmarks totaling $16 billion that will:

..."allow lawmakers to put “pork” in bills that fund projects in their districts — which could also be used to reward their donors and special interests. Breitbart News’s Joel Pollak said the typical argument lawmakers use for earmarks “is that they can help to relieve partisan gridlock. A politician might agree to break ranks with his or her party if there is something in it for the folks back home (or the campaign coffers).”

Senator Ron Paul, who has been a maverick among the Republican Senators for so long even the McConnell myrmidons don't bother to attack him, says the GOP has been emasculated by the budget deal, noting:  

“This brings upon us the lie that Republicans really are fiscally conservative. The Democrats aren’t. They will not pretend to be fiscally conservative. Not one of them up here gives a darn about the debt. The Republicans all profess to be, but when you make them vote on the PAYGO resolution, pay as you go, that we can’t have new spending without offsetting it, they always vote to exempt it. So the omnibus will be 3,000 pages. We’ll get it two hours before they want to pass it. No one will read it. But hidden in the 3,000 pages will be we’re going to wave PAYGO.” “It would take 41 votes. Forty-one votes would stop the big spending. If 41, one of us said no and held our ground until there was a compromise, we could force Democrats to reduce spending. We have completely and totally abdicated the power of the purse. Republicans are emasculated. They have no power, and they are unwilling to gain that power back.”

Former Speaker Republican John Boehner cried at Nancy Pelosi portrait unveiling.  What is wrong with these people's minds? has been an absolute embarrassment for so long I didn't think it possible he could be more embarrassing, but he's succeeded.  This was the guy who blamed 'knuckleheads in Congress' who listen to talk radio for shutdown.  "Knuckleheads" who were trying to stop all the insanity he was a party to. 

Nancy Pelosi, along with Schumer, has done more harm to this nation than anyone in recent years other than Obama and Biden, and this nitwit gets choked up and has tears, and his daughters admire Pelosi.  Imagine that!  And the conservatives in Congress were the "knuckleheads".

At what point will the Republican party develop a back bone and decide, enough is enough?  Never, as long as the current leadership is in place.  They're a corrupt and self serving bunch of spend thrifts, as the figures coming out of on the spending habits of the RNC since 2017 shows.  They've been living the high life on the donations of Republicans instead of getting good people elected, especially good conservative people who want to put a stop to all this.   

 

 Daniel Greenfield in his article,  The Value Systems of Two Americas,  notes:

And that gets at the heart of the Two Americas crisis. The Left has successfully warped the country, but its overall institutional capture successes were focused on using education and culture to capture the elites. And the elites are, for the most part, captured, especially on a generational level. The elites are ruthlessly and unthinkingly enforcing their value system, even as it changes from year to year, and its absurd paradigms on the country..............And many conservatives are coming to realize that. A country controlled by a minority elite that is out of step with the people and yet insists on regulating them is a tyranny, no matter whether the nature of that tyranny is political, cultural or economic.  Freedom comes from independence. As long as America is dominated by a leftist oligarchy, it can never be free.

America is in debt to the tune of over 30 trillion dollars and Biden, the Democrats and nitwit invertebrate Republicans are are pledging to give South Africa untold millions to "go green" for their energy.   A government that's so corrupt and violent they make the  look clean.

Apparently Biden sent the Taliban $40 million dollars in ‘humanitarian aid", and a $55 billion gift for Africa, in order to compete with the Chinese and Russians for the affections of corrupt and incompetent dictators.  Then another $1.1 billion for Ukraine.  Think about this.  What happens when and there's a peace treaty, who will pay to rebuild Ukraine?  Russia, or America? 

 

Years ago while in Washington DC for my industry's Legislative Day we saw a discussion between Pat Buchanan and who claimed she never saw corruption in Washington. Imagine that, but then that was before she became part of it when she was Chairman of the Democratic National Committee, angling everything to put the fix in for Hillary.   Make sure to follow the link. 

 

My comment to them was "there are a lot of people in this room who think the only time America is safe is when the Congress was gridlocked and Ruth Bader Ginsburg was fast asleep on the bench". 

 

Nothing has happened to change my mind, except now that Ginsburg is dead the nation is just a tiny bit safer, and since bipartisanship has gotten us into the mess we are now, maybe we should warmly embrace gridlock.  Extended gridlock!
