You Can't Handle the Truth: Part IV

 Since tomorrow will be my last post for 2022, I thought I had better get this one out now.  So far I've posted three articles with the titled theme, You Can't Handle the Truth!, You Can't Handle the Truth! Part II and You Can't Handle the Truth: Part III, mostly, but not all, dealing with the invertebrate failure of Republican leaders. 

 Well, this continues in this vein, and I'm inclined to think this won't he the end of this series because it's clear philosophically the Republican party leadership does not want to change the direction they've been going all these years lying to the base when running and turning into enablers of leftist insanity once elected.  And with the exposure of the RNC's reckless spending it's clear there's not all that much difference between the corruption of the Democrats and the Republicans.

I've been asked more than once what I think the difference is between the Democrats and the Republicans.  I said the Democrats want to steal and waste all you money and control every aspect of your life right now, and the Republicans are willing to be patient and wait a week or two.   

Let's start with the $1.7 Trillion, 4,155-page omnibus bill this lame duck Congress is wanting to push down everyone's throat.  Four thousand and one hundred and fifty five pages of corruption, that no one will have time to read, but what has been read is extraordinary. 

 Let's meet the Senate RINOs who voted to advance this massive stinking bag of pus:

Blunt, Boozman, Capito, Collins, Cornyn, Cotton, Graham, Grassley, Hyde-Smith, McConnell, Moran, Murkowski, Portman, Romney, Rounds, Rubio, Shelby, Thune, Tuberville, Wicker and Young.

Some of whom are considered "conservatives", like Rubio, Thune and Grassley.  While Grassley and Graham have the tendency to bounce back and forth giving little confidence in either of these two, I had no delusions about the others, and now small confidence in Rubio, and should that surprise us?

Rob Bluey in his December 19 article, No Surprise: Republicans Won’t Hold Biden accountable states:

In just two weeks, Republicans will control the U.S. House of Representatives. They’ll be able to conduct oversight of the Biden administration that’s badly needed after two years of unified Democrat government.  And yet, even before House Republicans get the gavel, they are about to lose their leverage to hold the Biden administration accountable.   Why? At least 10 big-government Senate Republicans are likely to join Democrats to approve the massive $1.7 trillion omnibus spending bill in Congress this week.  Doing so would undermine one of the House GOP’s campaign promises. When rolling out the “Commitment to America” in September, Republican Leader Kevin McCarthy, R-Calif., made government accountability a core pillar of the plan.

Ear marks are back, and one of them will allot over $500 Million to murder babies.  Their justification? Population growth may “threaten biodiversity”.  In short, plants, bugs and animals will take priority over human life.  

And Republicans voted for that? 

Passing Omnibus Means FBI ‘Unaccountable’ for Twitter Files“: 

This FBI is out of control. … Who is funding this? I mean, Congress has to step up in the next few days and say, we’ve got to wait until January to fund these government agencies, or else they’re going to continue to be unaccountable.”

Omnibus Allocates Hundreds of Millions for J6 Prosecutions, FBI 

U.S. attorneys will see a $212.1 million increase in funding over FY2022 levels, “including to further support prosecutions related to the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol and domestic terrorism cases,” a summary from the House Appropriations Committee states. 

And Republicans voted for that?

Not only are the Senate Republicans being Democrat enablers, they're partakers also, as retiring Inhofe slips $511 million into $1.7 trillion legislation.  What does he want?  Well, here are some of the bigger earmarks for Inhofe:

• $114 million for the Air Force for KC-46A 1 Bay Depot Corrosion Control Hangar
• $90 million for the Air Force KC–46A 2–Bay Program Depot Maintenance Hangar
• $86 million for the Army Advance Individual Training Complex Phase 2  in Oklahoma
• $40 million for the Tulsa International Airport (TUL) Air Traffic Control Tower

The omnibus spending bill also includes $45 billion in military and economic aid for Ukraine, which Inhofe has been a vocal advocate for despite Americans’ declining support for entanglement in Ukraine.

This is for a Pentagon that has out on control and unaccounted for spending. The Pentagon can’t even account for most of its assets.  If any business in America operated like they do they'd end up broke and probably in jail.

GOP Rep. Dan Bishop reveals ‘some of the most egregious provisions’ in Dems’ massive omnibus bill with massive give aways and hugely expanded health care costs, which we can't pay for now.  It also forbids improving border security, while at the same time allocating $410 million towards border security for Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Tunisia, and Oman. 

And Republicans voted for that?

When you read where Dem Sen. Murphy says the Omnibus Bill Won’t Be Extraordinarily Inflationary because much of this money is going overseas, it's because 40 billion is allotted to Ukraine, and "$1,438,000,000 for membership in global multilateral organizations, including the UN."  Out of a 1.7 trillion dollar spending bill about 1.5 trillion will go to those who aren't even Americans.  Even Palestinian terrorists will be compensated for being....well....terrorists, as the Palestinian Authority will receive, either through this package or some other corrupt deal, nearly $1 billion in aid.  Which is in violation of American law, "the Taylor Force Act...... prevents taxpayer funds from being given to an entity that supports terrorism". 

And Republicans voted for that?  

It turns out resistance to McCarthy's run for Speaker of the House has had some effect, as McCarthy supports  House conservatives who threaten revenge if RINO Senators vote for the Omnibus Bill.

It's the House that controls the purse, not the Senate, but if McCarthy wins the Speakership just how reliable will he be when the pressure starts to mount?  I've little confidence in McCarthy, and total distaste for McConnell who claims ...... now get this..... America's 'Number One Priority' is helping Ukraine.  

• Not a reduction is spending.  
• Not a reduction is government overreach.  
• Not a reduction in taxes.  
• Not out of control crime. 
• Not out of control illegal immigration. 
• Not the rising cost of energy. 
• Not the rising cost of virtually everything as a result of inflation that's quickly becoming uncontrolled because of all this massive and insane spending.  

No, it's defense of Ukraine.  Could anything make it more clear how corrupt and out of touch he is with reality and a total failure as a leader?  As Andrea Widburg states: 

Slightly over a month ago, 37 out of 49 Senate Republicans re-elected Mitch McConnell as their leader.  Yesterday, speaking on behalf of those Republicans, McConnell stated in the clearest terms possible what matters to the GOP: Ukraine.  During a time of economic upheaval, border breakdown, soaring crime, and rising energy costs, it's Ukraine that matters..........And there you have it.  You were not imagining it.  When it comes to what matters to our elected politicians, it's not you.

And the Republicans in the Senate voted for him because Senate Republicans could care less about you.  Imagine that!

You Can't Handle the Truth: Part III

On November 23, 2022 Sarah Arnold published this piece, More Republicans Oppose Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker: 'No', saying:

Republicans are facing mixed emotions when it comes to supporting House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as the next House Speaker.  On Tuesday, Rep. Ralph Norman (R-SC) didn’t have to think twice about whether he would vote for McCarthy to be the speaker of the House. “No,” Norman said when asked about his thoughts on the matter.  “There are a growing number of us who have just lost faith that McCarthy can do the job, and the speaker is the most important position at this point in this country,” Norman said while appearing on CNN.

Now, my view of McCarthy is that at best he's a leaky vessel.  Take for example how he initially supported Liz Chaney when it was obvious who and what she was, and then later "had an epiphany" .....an epiphany mind you......and turned on her. Does anyone doubt McCarthy is a leaky vessel as an ally?  If the wind changes, so will McCarthy.  

Remember, this is the guy who didn't want Liz Chaney removed from her position as a Republican leader in the house, and later condemned Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Paul Gosar, R-Ariz. for speaking at the America First Political Action Conference, or AFPAC, calling it "appalling and wrong", and his despicable actions regarding  driving Trump out of politics, was followed by another "epiphany", and ran down to Mar-a-Lago, genuflected and kissed Trump's ring seeking forgiveness "because on reflection he realized just how wrong he was".

You mean he needed time to see what was obvious to the most casual observer?  Wow!  I never knew the words epiphany and polls were interchangeable?  If that's so, and his "epiphany" is called a "poll", then it's a clear demonstration of his "leadership" qualities. That being somewhere between weak to non existent, with no stable moral foundation, especially given the cozy relationship he has with swamp creatures.

His "promises [to] Republicans [that] he shares their values, [and that] he’s on their side......that he will fight for them against permanent Washington, the forces that would like to destroy their lives", runs somewhere between questionable to highly dubious.

So, what does he really believe in?  We can only know after he reads the polls for his next "epiphany".  After all, being a California Republican is an exercise in capitulation and compromise in order to get elected, which I'm told by one of my e-mail correspondents involved in Californian Republican politics, is a major failing in California's Republican leadership.   

It's clear the Republicans will have to come together and pick someone soon if they hope to accomplish anything, and for that reason I've said I thought McCarthy would be Speaker, but I'm not so sure now as this is unfolding.  He absolutely needs the Freedom Caucus, which is now a group of substantial size with 44 members (membership by invitation only) in the House, and they are hot to deal with these outrageous budgets Biden and the Democrats have imposed on the nation.  I'll tell you what.  We'll come back to that. 

As it turns out McCarthy's not willing to give in to them, even on their budget plan, and the "proposed rules changes from the House Freedom Caucus have already been rejected by GOP leadership, creating more tension between conservatives and GOP leaders."  This isn't just a war between McCarthy and the Freedom Caucus, it's a war with the Freedom Caucus and the entire Republican leadership, and the new members coming in who are now more conservative.  

McCarthy has been vindictive in the past to the Freedom Caucus for daring to vote against him as leader,  and now he can't become Speaker without the Freedom Caucus, at least with his current stand on things, and I'm sure there are bad memories and hard feelings in that conservative group regarding McCarthy that are not going to go away.....ever. 

So unless he appeals to the Democrats it seems he can't win.  Remember, the Speaker of the House is mandated by the Constitution, so all members of the House vote for the Speaker's position.  There are no do-overs, and it's beginning to look as if he can't get elected without the Democrats.

Is that possible?   According to the Congressional Research Service (CRS) things have been changing over the last 25 years:

"In 11 of the 14 elections since 1997............some members s have voted for candidates other than the official nominees of their parties. Only in the initial election in 2015, however, were any such candidates formally placed in nomination. Usually, the additional candidates receiving votes have been other Members of the voter’s own party, but in one instance, in 2001, a Member voted for the official nominee of the other party............."

However, if he appeals to the Democrats he could probably win, but then what would he have to agree to and capitulated on to appease them?  Now, if he's elected by Democrats without appealing to them, but they act in his favor because they see a false conservative and a weak leader who can be manipulated by public criticism, can he possibly believe there won't be a massive revolt from the Republican members? 

Jim Hoft posted this article, Kevin McCarthy currently does not have enough votes for Speaker. This is a very good thing, saying:

While Biden, Pelosi and Schumer are destroying the country like never before Kevin McCarthy is way too weak to stand up against this destruction of the USA.  This is because McCarthy has never shown strength.  He’s Paul Ryan’s puppet in the House.... after two years Kevin McCarthy there is no indication that McCarthy will suddenly stand up against the Biden regime............looking at the 220 members of Congress based on their merits, their skills, their qualities, their leadership demonstration that you would settle on Kevin McCarthy at the expense of the other 219 or so Republicans....

After reading this piece, Stopping a Clean Debt Limit Hike Is an Early Test for Republican Leadership, one can reasonably ask: Is McCarthy the man to lead that charge? 

What happens when, or if, it becomes obvious most of the members of the Freedom Caucus will absolutely not vote for McCarthy and he can't get 218 votes, which seems that's the the position of the Freedom Caucus?  Now we're finding the, House GOP leadership rejects 6 of 8 rules changes sought by conservatives, with more pending.  Well, that certainly gives the impression the leadership's position is:  We're in charge, you're all whacko birds, so shove it.   

Does anyone besides me think that's not a good sign they'll convince the Freedom Caucus members to vote for McCarthy?   Just a thought.   

However, what happens if other members start to defect in their support of McCarthy?  What if that starts as a trend and becomes an avalanche? 

In 2018 Jim Jordan said, he was willing to run for U.S. House speaker, but this time he said he's not running against McCarthy, but what happens if they keep voting and McCarthy can't get 218 votes?   Will Jordan change his mind?   Will members decide to support Rep. Andy Biggs, who has openly challenged McCarthy?

But this presents a dilemma.  What about the new members?  It's the Speaker of the House who swears in the new members.  Does it have to be an elected Speaker?  As far as I can find out, yes, it does.  If that's the case, and it appears that it is, they must have a Speaker in place on January 3rd who is sworn in by the Dean of the United States House of Representatives, followed by the Speaker of the House swearing in the new members.

How about this.  McCarthy realizes his position is untenable, and removes himself from the running?  Since it certainly seems clear he can't be elected, at least by the Republicans, and he can't be their leader even if he gets the Democrats to vote for him, and if he's truly concerned about what's good for the nation isn't that what you would expect?  

Ya gotta admit, this is really getting down to the nitty gritty, and this is the test that will expose the character of McCarthy.  Is this all about him, or is it about the mission? We'll see!

You Can't Handle the Truth! Part II

On Monday, April 25, 2022 I published this piece, You Can't Handle the Truth!, wherein I cover my views on leadership.  Leaders often aren't really leaders.  They're mostly managers who organize the direction everyone wants to go, hence, most leaders are popularity contest winners, and never really get anything changed that needs to be changed.  

Change isn't just an intellectual effort, it's an emotional effort, requiring certain mental and psychological characteristics, and a really tough hide, because the personal attacks are going to come in droves.  Real leaders striving for change aren't interested in money, power, prestige, privilege or position.  For the real leaders it's all about the mission, and they're prepared to face the consequences to accomplish that mission.  What's that mission? They despise the lies and the corruption, and they just want what's right.   One of my personal heroes is Col. John Boyd who made what I think is a fundamentally profound statement in it's simplicity:

"Ask for my loyalty, I’ll give you my honesty. Ask for my honesty, you’ll have my loyalty."

In that piece I discussed Kevin McCarthy saying: 

First, I have little confidence the Republican party, as it's now configured, will accomplish anything after they take control in 2023, at least not without Trump as President.  However, I do think there may well be enough actual conservatives who get elected this time to throw out Kevin McCarthy as Speaker of the House, and possibly Mitch McConnell as the Senate leader. 

Well, most of that turned out to be wrong.  I also listed links to these articles, and McCarthy's intrinsic ability to capitulate under pressure.

Of course when the tide changed, AKA polls, McCarthy who wanted that ‘son of a b....' Trump out of politics, had an epiphany.  An epiphany mind you, must of been kinda like Paul on the Road to Damascus!  So, he went to Mar-a-Lago, genuflected and kissed Trump's ring seeking forgiveness, "because on reflection he realized just how wrong he was".  Lions, tigers and bears, Oh My!

You mean he needed time to see what was obvious to the most casual observer?  So, that's the quality of his intellect and political insights? Remarkable!

Well, two things. First the Senate didn't go Republican and the House barely became Republican, a situation that will only get worse if they don't fix the massive fraud going on in American elections.  As a result the most unpopular Republican in the nation, Mitch McConnell, is still going to be Republican leader in the Senate, and kicking McCarthy out as Speaker has now become problematic.  Why?  Two things.  

Unlike Senate leadership roles, which was created by the Senate, the Speaker of the House is a Constitutionally mandated position, and all members of the House vote for the Speaker, which takes  218 votes to become speaker, and McCarthy doesn't have them.  As of November 19th he only got 188 Republicans to vote for him.  And once someone is elected, they're there for two years, there's no do over.

So it's actually possible for a Democrat to become the Speaker for a Republican house, not likely, but not impossible either.  Also, the Speaker doesn't even have to be a member of the House, which is why there's all this foolish talk about making Trump Speaker.  That's not going to happen.  

•  Update:  11/21/22, 07:44 AM - This American Thinker piece shed some light on the vote for Speaker of the House and McCarthy.  MAGA and the House, which might explain the new spine McCarthy has seemingly developed.  Also, those 31 votes against McCarthy went to Biggs.  One more thing, although he claims he won't do it, McCarthy could ask Democrats to vote for him, and if that happens, he's toast as a Republican leader, no matter if he's Speaker of not.   RK

Here are some pieces on McConnell and McCarthy that outlines their history, and McCarthy is in my mind a notorious flipflopper, first supporting Liz Chaney and then condemning her, and all done with the same information at his disposal, except of course the last poll that created an "epiphany" and motivated his "moral" outrage.

So, now we have House Republican Freedom Caucus members, like Andy Biggs,  saying I cannot vote for Kevin McCarthy as House Speaker.  As for Kevin McCarthy, he's always been...at best....a leaky vessel.  Now McCarthy and his leadership team are refusing to adopt desired rule changes by conservatives, especially those involving spending reductions and restrictions, including ear marks, which the Democrats reintroduced.  House conservatives are disappointed, but claim they're not defeated.  We'll see, and in the meanwhile Kevin is putting on a vertebrate "show" by declaring:

That when he becomes the speaker of the House of Representatives in January he plans to remove “Squad” member Rep. Ilhan Omar, (D-MN), from the House Foreign Affairs Committee due to her “antisemitic” comments.

That's it?  How about Mad Maxine who has been a virtual fog horn for violence against Republicans, including those in office?  How about "The Squad" for their outrageous actions and statements?   Don’t get sucked in to supporting Kevin McCarthy just because he’s doing the right thing with Ilhan Omar.

Well, he's claiming  I'll keep promise to bar Swalwell, Schiff and Oman from committees,  We'll see, but that isn't nearly enough.

One of my favorite writers is Clarice Feldman, and on November 20, 2022 she posted this piece, Congressional Hearings -- Do Them Right or Not at All, stating:

At the Federalist, Jordan Boyd offers up a proposed agenda for the new House of Representatives.................Assuming, for the sake of discussion, Republicans can overcome McCarthy and his presumed uniparty aspirations, Boyd argues that the limitations on legislative ability and to keep the promises the party made to voters it must “punish the Biden bureaucracy and its Democrat allies for creating endless crises.”  Boyd’s agenda is the following, not necessarily in the order he ranked them:

• Impeach Joe Biden
• Impeach Merrick Garland. Impeachment is something McCarthy said earlier he would not want to start with. I hope he will change his mind, because I think it essential.
• Defund the FBI
• Disband the J6 Committee (Note: I disagree, this should be extended and expanded with conservatives on that committee, and recall everyone who has testified in order to be properly questioned, including Nancy Pelosi. Then and only then will the truth be exposed.  RK)
  
• Probe the Biden family business
• Subpoena COVID Tyrants -- Anthony Fauci, Deborah Birx, former CDC Director Robert Redfield “who lied about the origins, research, effects and mitigation of COVID-19.”(In this regard we have learned that the odious FTX crowdfunded studies “through TOGETHER Trial falsely claiming hydroxychloroquine, ivermectin weren’t effective Covid treatments.”)
• Impeach Myorkas and others over failures to secure the border.

Will McCarthy end up being Speaker.  I think so.  Will any of this happen?  We'll see, but given McCarthy's ability to collapse under pressure, I certainly have misgivings.   Just like Joe Biden, never underestimate McCarthy's ability to screw things up.  And all this is a sad commentary on the Republican party. 

You Can't Handle the Truth!

I'm going to say some seemingly contradicting things in this piece in order to lay foundation for my views about leadership.

First, I hated the military, yet I've often said, you couldn't pay me a million bucks to repeat it, but you couldn't pay me a million bucks to have missed it.  Truth is, usually only those who served understand that.  Military life alters you in subtle ways, and often times we're not aware of just how much until years later, and in spite of what I've said, those subtle alterations were beneficial, at least for me.

I've made no bones about two things in my writing.  First, the Uniform Code of Military Justice is neither uniform, nor justice.  Secondly, I despised the officers when I was in the service, and so much of what's happening now shows how they're openly demonstrating why they deserve my contempt, along with everyone else's.  This scene,You Can't Handle the Truth! - A Few Good Men , is in my opinion, a classic example of the military's system of justice and the officer corp. 

 

Remember, they gave this case to a Lieutenant Daniel Kaffee.  A lawyer with an amazing record of plea bargaining.  The goal?  Make Col. Jessup's crime just go away and place it squarely on the shoulders of obedient, honorable, loyal and duty bound enlisted men. The fact he didn't do that is immaterial to the reality of military justice.

The rules never apply to them.  I found them to be arrogant bullies pushing the lower ranks around because they could, and get away with it, like Medieval lords.  I had issues with that, and I still do, so after over 50 years, I still despise the officers.  I worked for some great Chief Petty Officers, and the Navy could be grateful for them.  They make the Navy work.  But after hearing from a neighbor's son who made a career of the Navy, I'm not sure that's the case any longer. 

I found officers to be foundationally lazy and more than willing to kiss their superior officer's butts in order to get promoted.  They're much like PhD's in academia.  Arrogant.  As one PhD said, the lowest form of life in the planet is a PhD. candidate because those working toward their PhD's will do anything to get it.  After they've gotten it, they'll say or do whatever it takes to get government grant money.  

They both represent the get ahead by going along to get along crowd. 

• Show me a PhD candidate who tells the PhD's grading him they're all wrong, and worse, demonstrates why, and I will show you a lifetime Master's degree.  
• Show me a junior officer who tell his superiors are wrong and demonstrates why, and I will show you a career junior officer.  
  

For the history buffs out there who've studied the Generals of WWII, you will see just how badly, with the exception of Patton, they went along to get along, and how it cost an unnecessary loss of allied soldiers lives.   While much of what I've said is a generalization there are a few real leaders among them who are prepared to be the rock in the current.  People like Col. John Boyd:

"One day you will come to a fork in the road. And you're going to have to make a decision about what direction you want to go."..... "If you go that way you can be somebody. You will have to make compromises and you will have to turn your back on your friends. But you will be a member of the club and you will get promoted and you will get good assignments."...... 

 

"Or you can go that way and you can do something— something for your country and for your Air Force and for yourself. If you decide to do something, you may not get promoted and you may not get the good assignments and you certainly will not be a favorite of your superiors. But you won't have to compromise yourself. You will be true to your friends and to yourself. And your work might make a difference." He paused and stared. "To be somebody or to do something. In life there is often a roll call. That's when you will have to make a decision. To be or to do? Which way will you go?" 

 

"Ask for my loyalty, I’ll give you my honesty. Ask for my honesty, you’ll have my loyalty." 

People like Boyd are not interested in money, power, prestige, privilege or position.  For the real leaders in those two groups it's all about the mission, and they're prepared to face the consequences to accomplish that mission.  What's that mission? They despise the lies and the corruption, and they just want what's right.

So, that brings me to the point.  That kind of conduct and mentality isn't exclusive to academia or the military.  Life is all about patterns, and we need to see those patterns.  We need recognize them for what they are.  All I've said thus far was to lay foundation for what follows dealing with these same kind of  "leaders" in the Congress.

Now it appears McCarthy went to Mar-a-Lago and kissed Trump's ring seeking forgiveness "because on reflection he realized just how wrong he was".   You mean he needed time to see what was obvious to the most casual observer?  Wow!  Well, maybe he had an epiphany?  If so, that epiphany is called "polls".

 Allison Quinn posted this piece dealing with both McCarthy and Mitch McConnell who wanted that ‘Son of a B*tch’ Trump Out of Politic quoting:

“What he did is unacceptable. Nobody can defend that and nobody should defend it,” McCarthy reportedly told Republican associates on Jan. 10.....Republican leaders wanted to see then-President Trump impeached after the deadly Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol, and spoke openly behind the scenes about their hopes for him to be ousted from politics, according to a new report.

“I’ve had it with this guy,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) is said to have told associates in the immediate aftermath of the insurrection.  That’s according to a new book, This Will Not Pass: Trump, Biden and the Battle for America’s Future, which The New York Times detailed in a report out Thursday.  Before they voted to acquit him of impeachment, McCarthy and Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell reportedly blamed Trump explicitly for the violence at the Capitol..........Trump’s behavior on the day of the riot “atrocious and totally wrong” and accused him of “inciting people” to storm the Capitol, according to claims in the new book. Two days later, he went even further and vowed to urge Trump to resign, the book claims.

But, McCarthy had an epiphany, and after McCarthy's epiphany Trump forgave him.  He even says he likes him?  Really? Well, I've watched how Trump deals with things, and if I didn't know better I'd swear Trump was Serbian.  He's not going to let this go, no matter what he's saying publicly.  

 

Does anyone doubt McCarthy is a leaky vessel as an ally?  Does anyone doubt Trump can't see that?  If the wind changes, so will McCarthy.  Remember, this is the guy who didn't want Liz Chaney removed from her position as a Republican leader in the house, and later condemned Marjorie Taylor Greene, R-Ga., and Paul Gosar,   R-Ariz., for speaking at the America First Political Action Conference, or AFPAC, calling it "appalling and wrong".  I see Jordan as Speaker of the House, after this exposure. 

 

But what about Mitch McConnell? Apparently he agreed with McCarthy echoing McCarthy and the leftist mob's outrage over AFPAC, which means they must be doing something right, like being being for all the conservative values, which apparently Mitch is likens to being a "white supremacist" and an "anti-Semite".  When questioned about his turnabout and supporting Trump during the impeachment he stated:

 

My point is what happened in the past is not something relevant now, we’re moving forward. We’ve got a new administration.”

So, what can be gleaned from that?  

It's kind of like what Muslims call the law of abrogation, where what he says today abrogates anything he said in the past.  Polls are the wind that makes the ship change direction, and that's of concern, because it would appear nothing he says is based on any real moral foundation that can be trusted to be the same yesterday, today or tomorrow.   Boy, doesn't that just give you a real sense of confidence? Or perhaps it gives the impression Ole Mitch has been around entirely too long, and it's time for ole Mitch to be put to pasture as Senate Leader.   As Oliver Cromwell told a corrupt Parliament he dissolved in 1653:  

"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... In the name of God, go!"

Who will take his place?  There's talk of Scott, which is Trump's choice, and Thune.

Personally I like Kennedy, Cruz, Hawley or Cotton, but they don't seem to making any sounds about running, however, I do think their influence will be huge this time.  For some reason McConnell has deep support in the Senate, which is a clear demonstration of how flawed is the Republican party, but that may change after November depending on who enters the Senate, and I do believe outside the beltway, McConnell absolutely lacks credibility with almost all conservatives and a lot of Republicans.

If that's the truth, and it is, can you handle it?
