In China Things Head South Quickly

If you follow developments out of China at all, you have likely noticed a spate of bad news recently. For years, even decades, it seemed that China could do no wrong in its growth toward becoming a major world power: China reported economic growth of 10% and up every year; it was becoming the hub of manufacturing for the entire world; and as its economy grew, its clout on the world stage increased rapidly. Pundits on the left (and occasionally on the right as well), often with overt admiration for the Chinese model of authoritarian state-directed crony capitalism, widely predicted that China would supplant the U.S. as the world’s leading power some time not too far into the 21st century.

Suddenly that’s looking much less likely. What happened? The fault lines have been there for a long time, but well-concealed by a regime with tight control over information flow, let alone by a Western press with a deep hatred of the West and not hiding its cheerleading for success of the Chinese model. In the last few months, as conditions have deteriorated, the regime has lost a big piece of its ability to keep the lid on.

Here’s my two cents: If the goal is long-term success for the country and the people, the Xi regime is doing pretty much everything wrong.

As a Manhattan Contrarian reader, it will not have come as a surprise to you that China would soon be facing serious reverses. As long ago as a post in September 2018, I asked “What Are The Long-Term Prospects For China?” That post reviewed various destructive policies of the Chinese government that included things like the pervasive surveillance system, tight and increasing state control of investment, suppression of religion and of ethnic minorities, and more, and concluded by asking: “[I]n a world of tough competition for talent and investment, what does China really have to offer?” In another post in March 2021, I asked “Is China About To ‘Win’ The Battle For The Future?” That post reviewed the prognostications of multiple pundits, on both left and right, predicting, often in exactly those words, that China was “winning the battle for the future.” But my conclusion was that various self-inflicted wounds stemming from the authoritarian governance model would soon undermine Chinese progress:

China’s system has enormous disadvantages, mostly self-inflicted by the ruling Communist Party, that show every prospect of greatly hindering and undermining its ongoing economic advance.

So with that introduction, let’s review some of the latest news:

Covid. Since the outset of the pandemic, China has pursued what it has called the “zero Covid” policy. Somehow Xi or others in the regime got the idea that they could accomplish the ultimate demonstration of the superiority of their system by imposing the strictest lockdowns and other control measures, and thereby preventing the disease from ever spreading in their country. In a post on April 16, 2022, I described conditions in Shanghai at that time, largely as then reported by The New York Times:

China has adopted an absolutist “zero Covid” policy without any rational weighing of the actual costs and benefits of the policy. Young adults and children with little to no risk of death from the disease are locked in their homes, often starving, and deprived of all normal human social contact for weeks and months on end. And since the disease has not yet worked its way through the population as it has elsewhere, China has no end in sight for these draconian policies. . . . The New York Times reports on April 10 about how the recent Shanghai lockdown is affecting the residents: “Residents have swarmed the police officers who enter their neighborhoods wearing white protective suits. They have shouted out their windows, demanding to be given supplies. Others have banged pots and pans in protest. . . . “We just want to eat, is that so hard?” [residents] yelled.”

The post included this picture of a street scene from Shanghai, with police and health officials in haz-mat suits and no civilians to be seen outdoors:

At the time, the Worldometers site, using official Chinese government data, was reporting what appeared to be a huge success for the zero Covid policy, at least if the only measure of success is number of cases and deaths from Covid and you think that imprisoning people in their homes for months is OK and that official Chinese government data are real. The death rate for China from Covid at that time was given as 3 per million population. My comment was that the official death rate “is highly likely to be wildly understated, but nobody knows by how much, because any local official daring to report accurate information would likely be fired if not jailed.”

By December, there were widespread reports that Covid was surging in China — although if you followed the Worldometers site, you could still not find the surge in the officially-reported data. But some Western news sources at last started to get curious. Here is the latest from NBC News today:

SHANGHAI — Patients are crammed into hallways, stairwells and lobbies, and still the sick keep coming. In scenes reminiscent of the start of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Chinese hospitals are struggling to cope with a surge in Covid-19 cases following the country’s decision to scrap its “zero-Covid” policy in early December.

So is the Chinese government starting to get honest?

After international criticism that it had not been transparent about the severity of the outbreak, the Chinese government said last weekend that it had recorded 60,000 Covid-related deaths since Dec. 8.

That’s a start — Worldometers as of today continues to show a total of only 5,272 Covid deaths in China. But NBC continues:

An estimate on Tuesday by Airfinity, an independent forecaster based in London, put the number of Covid-related deaths in China since Dec. 1 at 608,000, 10 times the official figure.

608,000 deaths would be about 425 per million population. That’s still a fraction of the U.S. rate (which is about 3,300 per million), but those 608,000 deaths in China are only in the last month and a half. The real number in China since the start of the pandemic remains anybody’s guess, and the current surge of cases and deaths could well result in rapid catch-up to the rates in the Western countries that had far less severe restrictions. The Chinese have lived in near prison conditions for the last three years — and for what? To make the leaders look good (by some twisted definition of “good”)?

Population. The Wall Street Journal reported on January 16, based on official Chinese data, that China’s population had actually declined year-on-year in 2022 over 2021.

The National Bureau of Statistics said Tuesday that China’s population dropped to 1.412 billion in 2022, from 1.413 billion in 2021. It was the first decline since the early 1960s, when the country was devastated by famine after Mao Zedong launched his “Great Leap Forward.”

It may sound like a rounding error, but the difference between 1.413 billion and 1.412 billion is a whole million people. And the decline represents almost entirely excess of deaths over births. In simple terms, nobody is having children in China any more. The data on number of births are quite astounding. From the WSJ:

The number of births declined to 9.56 million from 10.62 million in 2021, Tuesday’s data showed. China’s birthrate—the number of births per thousand people—dropped to 6.77 in 2022, compared with 7.52 in 2021.

By contrast, according to Macrotrends, the U.S. birthrate for 2022 was 12.012 per 1000 people — close to double the Chinese rate. The U.S. rate is right around the level that is sufficient to maintain the population; and with ongoing rapid immigration, the U.S. can expect continued increases in population. For China, at this extremely low birth rate, the population is almost certain to continue to decline. And the way the math of this works, unless the birth rate reverses quickly, the decline will accelerate. The UN put out a prediction in late 2022 that China’s population would decline by nearly half by 2100, to under 800 million. And others have even more dire projections. (A University of Wisconsin study in 2021 projects a population for China in 2100 of between 350 and 450 million.)

China also has negative net immigration (that is, more people emigrate than immigrate), according to Macrotrends. What foreign citizen would want to voluntarily enter this prison/surveillance state, where ethnic minorities are treated like second-class citizens when they are not put into forced labor camps?

Economic “Growth”. As reported in many sources, citing official Chinese government data, China reported economic growth for 2022 as 3%. Here is a quote from Reuters, January 17:

2022 GDP grows 3.0%, far below official target. . . . China's economic growth in 2022 slumped to one of its worst levels in nearly half a century as the fourth quarter was hit hard by strict COVID curbs and a property market slump, raising pressure on policymakers to unveil more stimulus this year.

3% year-on-year economic growth is far lower than the levels of growth reported by China for the past several decades. Compared to the U.S., the 3% may still not sound too bad, until you realize, again, this is official Chinese statistics. There could be endless amounts of padding in there.

So overall, how is Xi doing? I’d say, he’s giving an object lesson on how to drive a country into the ditch. Until the government is ready to accept a large role for freedom and entrepreneurialism outside state control, they are likely in for a long period of stagnation. I don’t see Xi and his crowd going that route.

Two remarkable things happened last week.

First, I wrote a column about my own personal COVID-19 vaccine death and disease cluster. I wrote about my wedding on Nov. 21, 2021, to the beautiful Cindy Parker Root. We're still in our honeymoon year as that was only eight months ago. But a strange and tragic thing has happened since that date. Thirty-three. That is a remarkable number. That is an unimaginable number. That is an impossible number. That is a one-in-a-billion number.

How prominent public health agencies are skewing vaccine effectiveness statistics in the US

The Centers for Disease Control (CDC @CDCgov) and the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (NYC Health @NYCHealthy) are misleading us about the risk of being unvaccinated against SARS-CoV-2 (CoV2).

They are doing this through two basic errors. First, they appear to be using outdated population estimates that grossly undercount the actual number of unvaccinated persons in the United States. This leads to artificially inflated estimates of COVID-19 case rates among the ever-shrinking unvaccinated population.

Second, they appear to be counting every person for whom they cannot verify vaccination status as an “unvaccinated person.” In many cases, it appears that it is taking health agencies weeks, if not months, to properly match COVID-19 hospitalizations with vaccination status, and we have no assurance that it is ever done properly at all. This has led to some jurisdictions quietly publishing significant corrections to their data weeks after initial publication — and after the media and public health officials have already run with the erroneous numbers. Israel's Most Prestigious Hospital: '70% to 80% of Serious Covid Cases are Fully Vaccinated

Despite Israel being one of the most “vaccinated” and “boosted” countries in the world, the number of Covid deaths continues to break record after record. Understanding the Covid Odds

If you’ve been vaccinated and still feel mortally threatened by the virus, please read this.

It’s obviously not easy to give up fear of Covid-19, to judge from a recent survey showing that the vaccinated are actually more frightened than the unvaccinated. Another survey found that most Democratic voters are so worried that they want to make it illegal for the unvaccinated to leave home. But before you don another mask or disinfect another surface, before you cheer on politicians and school officials enforcing mandates, consider your odds of a fatal Covid case once you’ve been vaccinated.

Those odds can be gauged from a study by researchers at the National Institutes of Health, published by the Centers for Disease Control. They tracked more than 1 million vaccinated adults in America over most of last year, including the period when the Delta variant was surging, and classified victims of Covid according to risk factors such as being over 65, being immunosuppressed, or suffering from diabetes or chronic diseases of the heart, kidney, lungs, liver or brain.

The researchers report that none of the healthy people under 65 had a severe case of Covid that required treatment in an intensive-care unit. Not a single one of these nearly 700,000 people died, and the risk was minuscule for most older people, too. Among vaccinated people over 65 without an underlying medical condition, only one person died. In all, there were 36 deaths, mostly among a small minority of older people with a multitude of comorbidities: the 3 percent of the sample that had at least four risk factors. Among everyone else, a group that included elderly people with one or two chronic conditions, there were just eight deaths among more than 1.2 million people, so their risk of dying was about 1 in 150,000.

Those are roughly the same odds that in the course of a year you will die in a fire, or that you’ll perish by falling down stairs. Going anywhere near automobiles is a bigger risk: you’re three times more likely during a given year to be killed while riding in a car, and also three times more likely to be a pedestrian casualty. More preliminary evidence that the vaccines have led to a spike in deaths

A recent shocking report in American Thinker suggests that life insurance payouts are considerably worse than executives expected.  Obvious question: Is it an aberration, or is it for real?  Alas, a cursory examination suggests that it may be for real.

The scan of the following insurance companies confirms the initial report.  For Prudential, they have had a massive 87% increase in death benefits paid comparing the third quarter of 2020 to the third quarter of 2021.  Such a detailed breakdown wasn't available for New York Life, but their 2021 year to date (1 Jan to 30 Sep) death benefit payout is up by 27%.  Examining Pacific Life documents identifies multiple units.  For Pacific Life, the year-to-date claims are up by only 12%.  But for a subsidiary, Pacific Life and Annuity, claims are up by over 80%.  This is an opportunistic search; more data may be forthcoming. ......To Read More

 

Covid and Corrupt Federal Statistics

Federal agencies don’t count what politicians don’t want to know. President Biden and other Democrats continuously invoke “science and data” to sanctify all their Covid-19 mandates and policies, but the same shenanigans and willful omissions have characterized Covid data.

During his update on his Winter Covid Campaign on Tuesday, President Biden declared, “Almost everyone who has died from COVID-19 in the past many months has been unvaccinated.” This was true from the start of the pandemic in early 2020, until the vaccines’ efficacy began failing badly in recent months. Oregon officially classifies roughly a quarter of its Covid fatalities since August as “vaccine breakthrough deaths.” In Illinois, roughly 30 percent of Covid fatalities have occurred among fully vaccinated individuals. According to the Vermont Department of Health, “Half of the [Covid] deaths in August were breakthrough cases. Almost three-quarters of them in September were,” as well, according to Burlington, Vermont TV station WCAX.

The Biden administration guaranteed that the vast majority of “breakthrough” infections would not be counted when the Centers for Disease Control in May ceased keeping track of “breakthrough” infections unless they resulted in hospitalization or death. Ignoring that data permitted Biden to go on CNN in July and make the ludicrously false assertion: “You’re not going to get COVID if you have these vaccinations.” But federal data on fully vaxxed Covid fatalities is far flimsier and less reliable than the numbers compiled by some states. Honestly recognizing the limits of vaccines could be fatal to Biden’s push for compulsory vaccinations.

The same policymakers who claim to be guided by data have little or no idea how many Americans have been hit by Covid. According to the CDC, there have been 51,115,304 Covid cases in America. But a different CDC web page estimates that there had been 146.6 million Covid infections in the US as of October 2, 2021. That CDC analysis estimated that only one in four Covid infections have been reported, which would mean that based on the latest official case numbers, more than 200 million Americans have contracted Covid. For Biden and his fellow policymakers, a potential error of 150 million Covid infections is “close enough for government work.” Relying on the lower number is convenient for policymakers who want to continue ignoring the natural immunity acquired by 199 million Americans who survived Covid infections.

Deceptive federal Covid data is not an anomaly. The same charades permeate the official data guiding both domestic and foreign policies.

Federal education policy has perennially been exempt from the fraud penalties that the Federal Trade Commission inflicts on private corporations. The No Child Left Behind Act, passed in 2002, promised that federal mandates would make all students proficient in reading and math by the year 2014. Almost half the states responded to the law’s perverse incentives by “dumbing down” academic standards, lowering passing scores on tests to avoid harsh federal sanctions. It was obvious within the first year that the law was backfiring, but the feds covered up the catastrophe to permit President George W. Bush and other politicians to continue lying about saving America’s children.

Food stamps have been one of the most popular ways for politicians to prove their love of downtrodden Americans. Liberals perennially claim that the food stamp program has a fraud rate of only one percent. But that is based solely on the number of violators who get caught, and federal rules discourage states (which administer the program) from vigorously pursuing violators. New Mexico Human Services Secretary Sidonie Squier complained in 2013 that the biggest fraud issue in her state was recipients selling their food-stamp Electronic Benefit (EBT) Cards and claiming that they were lost or stolen. Roughly 70 percent of all the EBT cards issued in New Mexico in 2012 were replacement cards. Squier told Albuquerque’s KOB-TV, “We know that there are some people who lose them four, six, or eight times, and it’s pretty suspicious, but you can’t do anything about it based on the federal rules. They want people to have the cards — they want the cards replaced.”

The Peace Corps, one of the most sainted federal agencies, is also guilty of perennially covering up deadly risks to its recruits. The Peace Corps has long acted as if its volunteers’ good intentions are body armor that shield them against all perils. But its basic model – sending inexperienced young college graduates to live and work alone in many of the world’s most dangerous nations – is failing mightily. The Peace Corps routinely buries evidence of rapes suffered by its volunteers. Michael O’Neill, the Peace Corps’ security director from 1995 to 2002, commented, “Nobody wanted to talk about security [for volunteers]. It suppresses the recruitment numbers.” After a 29-year-old volunteer was gang-raped in Bangladesh, Rep. Ted Poe (R-Tx) condemned the agency’s reaction: “For political reasons, the Peace Corps did everything it could to ignore and cover up the dastardly deed, blaming the crime on the victim.” A 2021 USA Today investigation found that the agency continues suppressing evidence even though almost half of the female Peace Corps recruits “who finished service in 2019 were sexually assaulted in some way.” But this horrendous failure rarely shows up in the agency’s endless press release victory proclamations.

Federal statistics cannot raise the dead, but they can make troublesome corpses vanish. The Obama administration vastly increased drone killings of terrorist suspects in many nations and claimed that almost all the victims were bad guys. A Salon analysis, summarizing an NBC News report, noted, “Even while admitting that the identities of many killed by drones were not known, the CIA documents asserted that all those dead were enemy combatants. The logic is twisted: If we kill you, then you were an enemy combatant.” Daniel Hale, a former Air Force intelligence analyst, leaked information revealing that nearly 90% of people who were killed in drone strikes were not the intended targets. Biden’s Justice Department responded by coercing Hale into pleading guilty to “retention and transmission of national security information.”

Since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, the media has portrayed federal officials like Tony Fauci as America’s “best and brightest.” But Washington is full of Towers of Paternalist Babel built on statistical quicksand. Bureaucracies conspire against admitting their failures, and politicians often rig reporting requirements to hide the damage their laws inflict. Anyone who has blind faith in federal data is unfit to judge public policy in the real world.

How Bad Is the Data on COVID? New Numbers From New York Provide Insight

Recent studies have shown, for example, that while previous variants heavily attacked the lungs, omicron is far milder, mostly infecting the upper airways and not deep lung tissue.  Not that that stopped the usual suspects from pressing the panic button, or course. But evidence continues to grow that omicron is a signal that the worst of the pandemic is over. Scientists are now saying omicron appears to have a death rate 100 times less than that of the delta variant.

“Covid killed one in 33 people who tested positive at the peak of the devastating second wave last January, compared to just one in 670 now,” according to analysis from the Daily Mail. “But experts believe the figure could be even lower because of Omicron” — and likely less than the case fatality rate of the seasonal flu, which is one in 1,000.

What if the largest experiment on human beings in history is a failure?

A report from an Indiana life insurance company raises serious concerns.

A seasoned stock analyst colleague texted me a link today, and when I clicked it open, I could hardly believe what I was reading.  What a headline.  “Indiana life insurance CEO says deaths are up 40% among people ages 18-64”.  This headline is a nuclear truth bomb masquerading as an insurance agent’s dry manila envelope full of actuarial tables.

People frequently write to Jill and myself. People we have never met.  They call, they arrive at the farm by appointment or unannounced, they fill our email in boxes with their inquiries. They all want something; time, attention, an interview.  Many want to tell us about their fear, illness, nightmares, or (what often seems like) outright paranoid conspiracies.  And then, over time, these fears and “conspiracies” keep getting confirmed.  As Jan Jekielek (a senior editor with The Epoch Times) recently said to me, it is getting harder and harder to tell which ones are mere conspiracy theories and which are true reality.    ...........To Read More....

Covid cases are rising rapidly so it must be Trump and his supporters’ fault

COVID cases are rising rapidly this fall, and Biden's and Fauci's poll numbers are dropping rapidly, so the N.Y. Times dutifully runs an article blaming Trump and his voters.  No matter what Biden screws up, it is never his fault. 

Omicron Threatens Red America

The article says that counties that voted for Trump have higher case rates than counties that voted for Biden.  According to Reuters, 2,547 counties voted for Trump and 509 voted for Biden.  83.3% of counties in the United States voted for Trump.  Trump voters are on average older than Biden voters.

Fewer Black and Hispanic people have gotten the vaccine than others.  I had no idea these minorities were Trump-supporters living in red states.

Latest Data on COVID-19 Vaccinations by Race/Ethnicity

Across these 42 states, as of December 13, 2021, 58% percent of White people had received at least one COVID-19 vaccine dose, which was close to the rate for Hispanic people (56%) but higher than the rate for Black people (51%)

Maybe the N.Y. Times should have looked up the recent data before it published this piece of fictional propaganda.  The following case information comes from the New York Times.  These are average cases per day for the last seven days.  The population is for 2021................In almost all cases, the red states have fewer cases per 100,000 people than the blue states.  Almost all those states do not have mask or vaccine mandates, so why are they safer?  Doesn't it show that the things Fauci says make us safe, like social distancing and masks, are not based on facts? We are told constantly that the vaccine is the cure, yet countries like Gibraltar, Singapore, and Ireland are almost 100% vaccinated, yet they are having serious outbreaks...........To Read More....

 

Continuous shaming of the unvaccinated

As COVID continues to ravage through Vermont, so too does the increasingly invective rhetoric deployed against those who are unwilling or unable to take the vaccine.

A vaccine so remarkably ineffective at preventing contagion, that Vermont – the state with the highest vaccination rate in the nation – recently made national headlines for also having the highest case rate in the nation.  And higher case rates have led to more deaths – many more deaths.  There have been three times as many COVID deaths since the vaccines than before.

Now, we should not repeat Governor Scott’s favorite illogic by inferring causation where only correlation has been observed, but that does look a bit funny, doesn’t it?  What kind of vaccine leads not only to more infections, but also to more deaths?  Don’t dig too deep, Vermonters – remember, this is “science” and you just don’t understand it.

Don’t worry though – Governor Scott understands it, and he knows whom to blame.  He told us with great conviction and contempt at his weekly press conference that 5% of Vermonters are responsible for burdening Vermont’s healthcare system with 75% of Covid hospitalizations.  He added, “…the 95% of adult Vermonters who have done the right thing are not the problem… …and they should not be punished.”.........To Read More....

 

When will the CDC correct its COVID death counts, as Italy just did?

The Summit caught a fascinating story out of Italy: The Italian Higher Institute of Health decided it had miscounted COVID deaths. Instead of looking at people who died with COVID, as it once did, it looked only at people who died from COVID—leading to a 97% decrease in Italy’s COVID death count. So far, though, the CDC shows no signs of following suit.

According to The Summit:

The Italian Higher Institute of Health has drastically reduced the country’s official COVID death toll number by over 97 per cent after changing the definition of a fatality to someone who died from COVID rather than with COVID.

Italian newspaper Il Tempo reports that the Institute has revised downward the number of people who have died from COVID rather than with COVID from 130,000 to under 4,000.

“Yes, you read that right. Turns out 97.1% of deaths hitherto attributed to Covid were not due directly to Covid,” writes Toby Young.

Of the of the 130,468 deaths registered as official COVID deaths since the start of the pandemic, only 3,783 are directly attributable to the virus alone.

“All the other Italians who lost their lives had from between one and five pre-existing diseases. Of those aged over 67 who died, 7% had more than three co-morbidities, and 18% at least two,” writes Young.

“According to the Institute, 65.8% of Italians who died after being infected with Covid were ill with arterial hypertension (high blood pressure), 23.5% had dementia, 29.3% had diabetes, and 24.8% atrial fibrillation. Add to that, 17.4% had lung problems, 16.3% had had cancer in the last five years and 15.7% suffered from previous heart failures.”

Americans are fighting back against vaccine mandates

On February 5, 1777, George Washington issued an order for all troops to be inoculated against smallpox. He feared the deadly disease raging through his troops was a worse threat than the British. In Washington’s time, the only way to protect against smallpox was variolation, a procedure involving obtaining smallpox scabs from those sick with the disease, making a small cut into a healthy person’s arm, and then inserting the scab into that cut.

Most variolated people would get a mild form of smallpox and become immune although several a certain percentage would get full-blown smallpox. Smallpox is a dreadful disease, killing many of the people it infects and leaving the survivors disfigured for life. Its 30% mortality rate justified Washington’s drastic order.

Covid is another story. It has a survival rate between 97% and 99.75%. With that survival rate, there is no reasonable way to claim that it’s serious enough to warrant the government mandating vaccination on the population. The saying that desperate times call for desperate measures was never more true than when applied to vaccination. Consider the first vaccine in 1796, when a young boy was inoculated against smallpox. It had been noticed that milkmaids almost never contracted smallpox. Milkmaids frequently caught cowpox, a mild illness related to smallpox. British physician Edward Jenner theorized that infecting someone with cowpox would confer immunity to smallpox............  Smallpox was a very contagious disease that killed many of the people who contracted it.............Louis Pasteur was not even a doctor when he developed a vaccine for rabies.  In our modern world, rabies is a plot point in movies like Old Yeller.  In Pasteur's time, rabid animals were so terrifying that any pet dog was suspect and might be killed out of hand.  Rabies is almost 100 percent fatal. .................

Now consider COVID.  The total population of the world is more than 7 billion people.  The number of people who have died from COVID is 4.9 million.  That's a lot of dead people, but it's less than a fraction of one percent of the world population.  Most people who get COVID don't get very sick.  Some of them don't have any symptoms at all and only find out they've been infected with COVID when they test positive for it or turn out to have antibodies.  The survival rate is estimated at between 97% and 99.75%. ................ This New Peer-Reviewed Article Could Be a Game-Changer

Every now and then, right in the middle of the ongoing politicization of our universities and public health institutions, some actual science breaks out, almost spontaneously, as if it simply can’t be contained. Science, after all, is the pursuit of truth, and in Shakespeare’s immortal phrase, fromThe Merchant of Venice, “Truth will out.”

Such is the case with a recent article published in Toxicology Reports by Ronald N. Kostoff, et al., titled “Why are we vaccinating children against Covid-19?”According to Dr. Robert Malone, inventor of the mRNA technology used to produce the current Covid “vaccines,” the article is peer-reviewed and appears in a reputable journal. It is not a new “study” but rather an in-depth analysis of existing data from various government sources. And it isn’t just about children. It basically confirms everything Team Reality has been saying since the push for mass vaccination began.

In early August, in an op-ed for The Washington Times, Malone and former Trump advisor Peter Navarro (one of the driving forces behind Operation Warp Speed) called for a halt to the Biden administration’s mass vaccination program, which they argued will do more harm than good. Instead, they said, we should target the most vulnerable while allowing those at lower risk to make their own cost-benefit analysis. They likened over-vaccination to overuse of antibiotics and warned that it could produce vaccine-resistant strains or “variants.”............

First, from the introduction, here’s what Kostoff, et al. have to say about the roll-out and possible impact of the vaccines: “Clinical trials for these inoculations were very short-term…had samples not representative of the total population, and for adolescents/children, had poor predictive power….Further, the clinical trials did not address changes in biomarkers that could serve as early warning indicators of elevated predisposition to serious diseases….[or] long-term effects that, if serious, would be borne by children/adolescents for potentially decades.”........

On the reported 600,000-plus Covid deaths: “Most deaths attributed to COVID-19 were elderly with high comorbidities….Attribution of death to one of many possible comorbidities or especially toxic exposures in combinations is highly arbitrary and can be viewed as a political decision more than a medical decision. For over 5% of these deaths, COVID-19 was the only cause mentioned on the death certificate. For deaths with conditions or causes in addition to COVID-19, on average, there were 4.0 additional conditions or causes per death. These deaths with comorbidities could equally have been ascribed to any of the comorbidities. Thus, the actual number of COVID-19-based deaths in the USA may have been on the order of 35,000 or less, characteristic of a mild flu season.” (Emphasis mine.).............

Ultimately, the authors conclude, “There appears to be modest benefit from the inoculations to the elderly population most at risk, no benefit to the younger population not at risk, and much potential for harm from the inoculations to both populations. Soaring through the roof: Vaccine deaths skyrocket

Since start of COVID, more than 14,000 fatalities reported to CDC

The U.S. government database that keeps track of deaths from vaccine side effects has exploded by 10-fold since the advent of COVID-19, and the experimental vaccines that have been developed in response.

The Beltway Report revealed there are about 1,400 deaths reported to the system each year, among the thousands of reports of adverse events from vaccines.

The report explained the Virus Adverse Event Report System gets more than 60,000 reports each year, including 1,400 deaths that are documented on average.

But since COVID was unleashed on the world, "there have been 14,701 deaths reported," the report said.

"Many of those have come from within the last month and a half with around 3,300 deaths. That’s about 70 per day!" the report said.

Since 1988, I’ve been pointing out that relabeling and repackaging disease is standard operating procedure in the field of “pandemic medicine.”  And now we have this, from FOX News (7/25/21): “But while cases of COVID-19 soared nationwide, hospitalizations and deaths caused by influenza dropped.”

“According to data released by the CDC earlier this month, influenza mortality rates were significantly lower throughout 2020 than previous years.”

“There were 646 deaths relating to the flu among adults reported in 2020, whereas in 2019 the CDC estimated that between 24,000 and 62,000 people died from influenza-related illnesses.”

Massive 300% Spike in Covid-19 Deaths Recorded by Johns Hopkins University Skewed by Old Data

A massive 300 percent hike in nationwide COVID-19 deaths recorded Friday by Johns Hopkins University was skewed by states dumping data – that in one case dated back as far as last spring, according to a report.  The university, which has been a trusted source of coronavirus information since the start of the pandemic, reported that US deaths surged from 321 on Thursday to 891 on Friday, as the Delta variant quickly spreads throughout much of the country.

Florida was responsible for a huge chunk of the increase, with 409 of Friday’s death toll coming from that state, according to The Daily Mail. However, Florida only releases weekly data on Friday, making the day-to-day totals reported by the university unclear and overblown, the outlet said.

Figures released by Delaware also added to the surging daily increase, as that state announced 130 new deaths Friday, the tabloid reported. The dramatic figure was misleading because those deaths actually occurred between mid-May 2020 and late last month, and were added after The First State reviewed death certificates, according to the article............To Read More.....
