Climate extremism is making America mentally ill

By |October 25th, 2022|Climate|275 Comments @ CFACT

America is floundering in an epidemic of anxiety, depression and drug use.

One in six Americans takes some kind of psychiatric drug, mostly antidepressants, a medical study concluded, and some of them (Prozac and Paxil) are linked to acts of violence. A third of high school students cannot shake feelings of sadness or hopelessness, another report found, and nearly 2 0% of teens have contemplated suicide.

Still more frightening, both studies are based on data collected before the COVID pandemic sent college, teenage and younger children into lockdowns, social isolation, minimal physical activity, hours spent playing video games and reading censored and self-selected online media — and rampant depression and “chronic incapacitating mental illness.” Nor is the problem confined to America.

Researchers and psychologists are constantly finding new reasons to explain the growing inability to cope. Their newest “explanation” is — climate change!

“Climate grief” is “real,” they insist, and it’s spreading rapidly among young people. “The future is frightening,” 77% of 10,000 young people aged 16-25 from the USA and other countries told analysts who investigate “climate anxiety.” Large numbers of children are having climate nightmares.

“The climate mental health crisis” already affects people who have “lost everything in worsening climate infernos,” laments a NASA scientist and climate activist fear-monger who’s convinced we face “the end of life on Earth as we know it.”

“I don’t want to be alive anymore. The animals are all going to die, and I don’t want to be here when all the animals are dead,” a four-year-old child wailed.

Parents fantasize about killing their children, over fears of the “climate-ravaged future” they face. Parents and children alike consider suicide. Indeed, there’s a clear link between increased global temperatures and suicide rates, a Stanford economist asserts.

Dr. Thomas Doherty has built an entire psychology practice around climate psychoses, the Climate Psychology Alliance provides an online directory of “climate-aware therapists,” and a “peer support network” offers grief therapy modeled on twelve-step drug addiction programs.

There’s only one real solution to this epidemic, “experts” insist: Governments must act immediately to “fix” the climate, and eliminate “the death knell of climate chaos hanging over people’s heads.”

Fomenting Fear, Grabbing Power

Excuse the bad pun — but this is insane! The hysteria and histrionics have gotten completely out of hand. They have no basis in reality.

We do not have a climate “crisis.” We have a climate fear-mongering and cancel-culture crisis.

The solution to the climate drug and mental health crisis is not to “fix” grotesquely exaggerated climate problems. It is to end the indoctrination and censorship that dominate discussions about climate change, from kindergarten through graduate school, and in almost every realm of science, politics and news.

The supposed climate crisis exists in computer models, headlines and hype about “unprecedented” temperatures, extreme weather, floods and droughts that have scant basis in Real World evidence. Viewpoints, evidence and experts questioning and challenging these claims are banned from classrooms, school curricula, news and social media, and government policy discussions – starting at the top.

The White House “national climate adviser,” for example, works hand-in-glove with Big Tech and news organizations, suppressing facts about climate change reality. Most federal (and many state) government agencies have similar officials and programs. Meta (Facebook), Twitter, YouTube and other Big Tech companies routinely, consistently and happily assist with this deplatforming and censorship.

The so-called Next Generation Science Standards feature climate alarmism as a guiding principle for students K-12, and determine what is being taught in over a third of America’s classrooms.

Meanwhile, as America and Europe are propagandized and prodded to eliminate their fossil fuel use — with enormous costs in jobs, living standards and lives — China, India and 100 other countries are rapidly expanding their oil, gas and coal use, to lift people out of rampant poverty.

Worse, China increasingly dominates raw material and “green tech” supply chains — and gets a free pass on its fossil fuel use, greenhouse gas emissions, environmental destruction, and slave and child labor.

All these realities are studiously and systematically ignored and cancelled.

Fortunately, millions of parents are becoming more involved in their children’s homework and school boards. Fight for Schools and other such efforts are working to bring science, honesty and accountability back to education. They recognize that we desperately need diversity of political and scientific thought.

Without it, the United States and Western Civilization will see their liberties and living standards rolled backward by decades.

The shrill, alarmist cries of climate extremists must be confronted and doused with sound reason. This, for the sake of the children and everyone’s peace of mind.

Climate Hysteria: A Mass Delusion to Demonize Carbon Dioxide

By Jerome Corsi September 13, 2022

Climate hysterics like to throw around the world “denier” to castigate those who don’t get with the green agenda. The term is deliberately intended to echo the phrase “Holocaust denier” to those anti-Semites who like to insist that the Holocaust never happened. While the comparison is obscene, it’s certainly true that the Holocaust, like the climate agenda, have something in common: They both reflect a blind fanaticism untethered to actual facts.

Climate hysterics demonize carbon dioxide (CO2) much as Hitler stereotyped Jews. They then demonize their critics as “Holocaust deniers” because the psychological link is to demonize critics of the anthropogenic theory as if they were Jew-haters. However, the term “climate deniers” outside the context of Holocaust denial makes no sense. No rational person would deny that this planet has an atmosphere, weather, and climate. But honestly, it is climate hysterics who hate their critics, seeing them as “evil,” greedy, hydrocarbon-burning capitalists willing to make Earth’s climate unbearably hot and dangerous for all living things,.............To Read More.....

Omicron upends the class politics of Covid

Until Omicron came along, the official response to Covid served as an instrument of class warfare against blue collar workers and small businesses, on behalf of the tech oligopolists and selected big businesses such as Target, which were deemed “essential.”  Not coincidentally, blue collar workers and small businesses are the core of the GOP base, while Silicon Valley and the plutocracy are the cash cows and power base of the Democrats.

But the Omicron Variant has – at least for now – turned that class dynamic on its head. Writing for the Brownstone Institute, Jeffrey A. Tucker explains:

The initial lockdowns had a strong class-based component. The working classes were assigned the job of delivering groceries, tending to the sick, driving the trucks filled with goods, keeping the lights on, and keeping the fuel running. The professional class, among whom were the people who pushed lockdowns in the name of disease avoidance/suppression, were assigned the job of staying home in their pajamas and staying safe.

It all happened seemingly in an instant. We all had to figure out whether our job qualified and what we should do. More striking at the time was the very notion that government bureaucrats could slice and dice the population this way, deciding what can open and what cannot, who must work and who must not, what we can and cannot do based on our station in life.

So it now seems obvious to me. This whole disaster would finally come to an end (or at least the end would begin) when it became obvious that the great strategy of class division and demarcation would fail to protect the Zoom class from infection. ..........To Read More....

Latest COVID Story Out of Houston Shows That We Have All Lost Our Minds

Matt Vespa Matt Vespa Jan 08, 2022

COVID is here to stay. We better get used to seeing it around because like the tides, it will come and go. If you’re vaccinated, the chances of you dying or suffering from severe illness is virtually erased. You can still get it. That’s the big lie that was peddled by the Biden administration. Remember in July, get the shot and take the mask off. Well, wrong—Omicron is raging like the Great Chicago Fire. Is it less lethal? Yes, but it’s more contagious. I’ll take that mutation.

Everyone is going to get COVID. It’s only a matter of time. It’s nothing to be shameful about. It’s nothing to be embarrassed about. It was always that way, but liberal America decided to shame those who got COVID to satisfy their insufferable self-righteous complex. Now, liberals are coming down with the virus by the fist-full.

It’s endemic. Everyone needs to relax over a virus with a 99 percent survivability rate. Unfortunately, Anthony Fauci, the CDC, Democrats, and their liberal media allies have turned half the country into total psychopaths when it comes to the virus. I mean, they’re unhinged. Were at the point where some are risking the lives of their children to the point where it becomes a child endangerment situation. Take this Houston woman for example who locked her son in the trunk of her car at a testing center because he tested positive. She wanted him to quarantine, so she locked him in the trunk. And yes, the police are involved (via KHOU 11):.............To Read More.....

How Bad Is the Data on COVID? New Numbers From New York Provide Insight

By Stacey Lennox Jan 08, 2022

To competently manage any situation, accurate information is a requirement. Americans require precise data about the COVID pandemic to analyze the performance of our leaders and assess personal risk. Unfortunately, it is becoming more apparent that the corporate media and public health officials have subjected us to inaccurate data and word games for the last two years. We all remember the CNN death ticker that ran until Joe Biden’s inauguration, and Americans are still subjected to regular hysteria about hospitalizations and cases. One new statistic from New York is just the tip of the iceberg on how the “experts” have manipulated some Americans into mass hysteria.....To Read More....

Panicky Would-Be COVID Victims Line Up for Hours to Find Out if They’re Sick

By Athena Thorne Jan 02, 2022

Pity the poor patient who is suffering with serious symptoms and needs to obtain a COVID test — in some cases, where early intervention would be indicated as a matter of life or death; in others, as a precondition of an urgently-needed procedure. Weep for the worker whose employer requires he be tested regularly, or else risk losing paid hours or outright termination. Cry for the caregiver who already takes time out of her day to tend to someone too weak to care for himself, and who must now spend additional hours waiting in interminable lines for that crucial nasal swabbing.

Now, imagine, if you will, a devastating pandemic of a variant so virulent that victims don’t even know they have it unless they obtain a positive test. This twilit nightmare is reality for the COVID-panicked, a new kind of Karen who has turned her controlling tendencies inward and will do everything in her power to make sure she herself never, ever spreads the dread disease. And therefore, it is crucially important that she gets tested … no matter what..........To Read More..........

Vaccine Mandates and the Death of Personal Choice

December 23, 2021 @ Manhattan Contrarian

The arrival of Omicron is causing COVID déjà vu in the U.S. With cases surging, many political leaders are considering lockdowns right before the holidays. In New York, the Rockettes have announced the closing of their Christmas Spectacular, and the fate of NYC’s annual New Year’s Eve ball drop in Times Square is in question

Meanwhile, existing vaccines against COVID seem to have no effect on the spread of this variant — and even the New York Times admits it. Pfizer is already indicating that it will use the occasion to urge a “fourth dose” of the vaccine. In New York City, where 90.6% of adults are vaccinated, officials have announced that the City has broken its COVID case record two days in a row.  An Atlantic article reporting on the case-rate in NYC has the simple headline, “No, like, everyone has COVID right now.

But even though the fear-mongering is out in full force, and extremely restrictive lockdowns are going into effect in many European countries, the news is not actually all bad. The best information we have about the Omicron variant comes from South Africa, where the strain was originally identified. Doctors there have reported that, despite being extremely contagious, Omicron almost always presents with mild symptoms and that only 1.7% of reported cases have led to hospitalization. Even better, Bloomberg News reports “the number of hospitalizations in this wave is also being inflated by the fact that milder patients are being admitted because there is room to accommodate them.”

Says Waasila Jassat, a researcher with South Africa’s National Institute for Communicable Disease, “We have seen a decrease in a proportion of people who need to be on oxygen. They are at very low levels.” [sic]. And that’s true in a country with a “full vaccination” rate hovering around 26%. The U.S., with a full vaccination rate closer to 62%, should see even lower hospitalization rates.

So, we know that Omicron travels very fast and seems to be the most contagious version of COVID yet, but also that symptoms tend to be milder than prior variants and Omicron is so far requiring far less hospitalization.  I’d say that altogether there is reason to be optimistic — after all, almost everyone catches a cold in the winter.

And furthermore, if vaccines slowed the spread, surely we wouldn’t be seeing record case numbers in NYC with every passing day. Per the most recent (December 20) CDC guidelines: “CDC expects that anyone with Omicron infection can spread the virus to others, even if they are vaccinated or don’t have symptoms.” Lacking evidence that vaccination lowers the rate of spread of infection, and thus lacking evidence that people need to get vaccinated to protect others, you might think political leaders would reconsider their stance on vaccine mandates. Instead, they’re doubling down.

Here’s a statement from the White House that could be satire and unfortunately isn’t: “For the unvaccinated, you’re looking at a winter of severe illness and death for yourselves, your families, and the hospitals you may soon overwhelm.”

My personal instagram feed always gives me good insight into the way the mainstream Left is thinking. As COVID cases rise, my feed has once again become home to plentiful pro-vaccine propaganda and lots of hate towards the unvaccinated and the vaccine-hesitant. This is despite the fact that we know Omicron is infecting both the vaccinated and unvaccinated in record numbers.

My peers are virulent and dogmatic about COVID vaccination, even though they are in the 25-45 age range and therefore not in a high-risk group for ill-effects of COVID. The prevailing view among them is that getting the vaccine is about fulfilling our responsibility to others, and that not getting the Covid vaccine marks one as a selfish, careless — practically violent — member of society: someone who thoughtlessly spreads disease and death to the most vulnerable among us.

My belief is that the government pushes vaccine mandates because without them it’s hard to think of a good reason for a young person with no comorbidities to get vaccinated. That person’s risk from the disease is already low enough that the vaccine may not have much effect against it. And so, the narrative about protecting others persists, even though the only coherent argument in favor of vaccination – even before Omicron – was to protect yourself from the worst effects of the disease.

But even as the Omicron variant continues to undermine the necessity of getting vaccinated, there is unwavering insistence that vaccination is the key to ending the pandemic and that to remain unvaccinated is a burden on society. As an example of the most recent argument in favor of this idea, here is a post from one of my Instagram friends. It is a quote taken from a New York Times opinion piece:

https://images.squarespace-cdn.com/content/v1/503a5bade4b0b543ed240317/9bd970d8-27f2-481b-8a2b-31a9ebd4d9d2/unnamed-2.png?format=750w

I did not engage this friend in a conversation about her post (as I have with other friends in the past) but if I had, the first thing I would ask is: Since our choices might always have consequences that affect others, do we have a right to any personal choice at all?  Why stop at vaccination?

If the unvaccinated are a strain on the healthcare system, then obesity is significantly more of a burden. Should the government control what people can and cannot eat, and what the portion size is? Does the government have the right to mandate exercise? If the unvaccinated stress our emergency care resources, then drug and alcohol addicts do so tenfold. Does that mean the government can — or should — force-prevent substance use?

Many of my progressive friends fail to see the contradiction between freedom and subordination that exists within their own views. The same friends who promote vaccination as a moral obligation for the “greater good” will un-ironically follow it up with a post in support of the “fat positivity” movement.  These are the same friends who have grown up in the aftermath of the failed war on drugs. They have likely been smoking pot since they were in high school, and they have certainly lent their voices to the drug legalization movement.

How can they not see that those movements are dependent on a belief in individual freedom and the right to personal autonomy — even when those choices have negative consequences for other people? In their pro-vaccine zeal, they don’t see that there’s a slippery slope in saying that “your” choices – any of your choices – can become “our” choices if there’s a compelling enough reason.

Of course, seemingly unbeknownst to them, that truth was always buried inside the proposition of “healthcare for all.” Maybe COVID will help expose it. Individual choices are a liability when resources are scarce and must be shared. The people overseeing the supply of healthcare resources will have to be able to draw lines and pull plugs. Those who make what are deemed to be “bad decisions” will get the first cut.

I wonder if my friends who think “healthcare for all” simply means “make it so that I don’t have to pay” — the same ones who insist that coverage should include sex changes and abortions, among other voluntary treatments — will catch on to that before the die is cast.

The Only Pandemic We Face is a Pandemic of Fear, Hysteria and Lies

By Rich Kozlovich

This "pandemic" insanity has been a conspiracy to implement tyrannical government worldwide, and to do that they must destroy the American identity, American culture, American economy and the Constitution, which is being attacked unremittingly.  As the Canada Free Press states in it's logo,

Below is a series of linked articles, not necessarily in chronological order, demonstrating how all I've said is an accurate interpretation of the reality we're seeing unfolding before our eyes. Don't take my word for it.  Everyone should question my interpretation of events and ask:   Is all this true, and if so, how did this happen?

Debra Heine's December 9th piece, CDC: About 75 Percent of Omicron Cases Are in Fully Vaccinated People states:

The Omicron variant has been detected in at least 19 states in the U.S., and is striking mainly fully vaccinated people, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). Forty-three people in 19 states have tested positive for omicron, according to remarks made to the Associated Press by Dr. Rochelle Walensky, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. About 75 percent of those cases are in people who are fully vaccinated, and one person has been hospitalized. One-third of those individuals had traveled internationally; one-third had received a booster. The cases so far have been “mild,” she said. Preliminary data from South Africa meanwhile show that people who have previously had COVID-19 have more protection against the Omicron variant than those who have been vaccinated, the UK Telegraph reported......

Once again, both natural immunity and acquired immunity, are more effective than these so-called vaccines that are in reality just treatments, yet we constantly hear otherwise from Fauci and his band of misfits, and this effort to put those who disagree and refuse to get these treatments are being ostracized by governments worldwide.

posted this piece this yesterday, Shocking! LA School Turns Away ‘Unvaccinated’ Officers, Who Were Responding To School Threat saying:

The public school system has morphed from the Boston Latin School which was established as the first public high school in 1635 in Boston, Massachusetts to failing social justice portals of Marxism and low expectations, public schools, in 2021.  Parents are frustrated that schools are mandating vaccines for their children when less than 2 percent of children known to be infected by the coronavirus are hospitalized, and less than 0.03 percent of those infected, die from the virus.  In spite of the scientific data, the COVID hysteria on CA campuses is forcing school administrators and teachers to make decisions, in compliance with all new laws and directives.

"On or around 3 pm PST, Wednesday, December 8, local law enforcement officers were notified of a potential school shooting threat made against Watts Middle School in Los Angeles, CA........ It is unsure what the specific events were around the exact moment, when the school director, Angelique Sims, then asked the police officers if they had their proof of vaccination status, citing school mandate/policy. The police responded that they did not have proof of vaccination, and were then instructed by school Director Sims, that as per school policy, they could not be allowed on campus, if they were unvaccinated. The police then left the school campus."

So, what kind of insanity is this?  You call the police to investigate a potential crime ..... a potentially serious crime.....and then like the Nazi's in the old time movies arrogantly ask..."papers please".... all in order to see if these people coming at your request, and to your aid, are properly indoctrinated in the Church of Wokeness?  I wonder if they would  have been so adamant if there was a violent thug attacking them, or their family, or in their own homes?

On November 30th, H.R. 550, passed in the U.S. House of Representatives, including 80 Republicans,  called the Immunization Infrastructure Modernization Act of 2021, which would give unconstitutional authority to state and local government and health departments to track the vaccination status of American citizens.  This will set up an national vaccination registry, giving every little bureaucratic  tyrant in the nation the power to say:  "Papers please"....and who knows....maybe with a German accent for emphasis.

It's up to the Senate now, but if this passes this will not be the end, this will be the beginning of the end to our right to medical choices, and it won't end there either.  Once this data base is set up what's to prevent them from expanding it into other areas that will permit invasions of privacy, and who knows how far that can go, which I address later in this article.

On December 11, 2021 John Green posted this piece, We broke everything in the name of COVID demonstrating how incompetent the federal and state governments have been in dealing with a national crisis they created.

Our system of commerce is the engine upon which our economy depends, and it is far more complex than any computer room............Leaders ordered some workers to stay home yet allowed others to work — designating them essential..........All components of the system are required.  None is un-essential.

Yet our leaders shut the system down in a fruitless attempt to control a virus.  That is some major-league hubris.  Well, the virus is still with us, and so is the damage to our economy.  Our economy is Humpty Dumpty, and our wannabe dictators kicked him off of the wall with relish.  Now they’re looking at the pieces and acting surprised that he broke. We’ve been trying to restart the engine of commerce for over a year now, and it’s still not running right.............imposing vaccine mandates, extending unemployment benefits, waging a war on fossil fuels, expanding the regulatory state, spending like a drunken sailor (apologies to drunken sailors), and pursuing increased taxation...........Once again, we are being undone by our own hubris.  We thought we could tinker with a system of such unimaginable complexity that we don’t understand it — with no negative consequences.

Well, the consequences of these actions can potentially destroy our economy and our Constitution.  What this is in reality is what I've defined as the

Anthony Fauci is most responsible for the lockdowns that wrecked the surging Trump economy and inflicted untold suffering on millions of people. Fauci backed New York governor Andrew Cuomo, who sent some 15,000 people to their deaths in nursing homes. Cuomo claimed he was following federal policy, but when CNN asked Fauci if that was true, the man who claims to represent science declined to answer..............Fauci was unqualified. According to Mullis, inventor of the polymerase chain reaction, Fauci “doesn’t understand electron microscopy and he doesn’t understand medicine. He should not be in a position like he’s in.” But he is, and now claims to represent science itself. That smacks of megalomania...[and ye]t he wields executive-level power........“There comes a time when you do have to give up what you consider your individual right of making your own decision, for the greater good of society.”  The ultimate public servant thus reveals his inner Duce, his inner Stalin.

On December 10, 2021 this piece, Brilliant Fools Are Causing Terrible Societal Damage by Steve Apfel states:

When did it come to light that Dr. Fauci types, rather than applying the scientific method to medical issues, were foolishly pursuing political ends free from science? ...........Setting the pace is Dr. Fauci, a political mover, a briber, a bully, and a charmer. Once in power, his mandates to stop the spread turned into devices to monitor the masses. Two years later, failed lockdowns, masking, and travel bans are going strong the world over. No pedestal is more elevated than Dr. Fauci’s, nursing a fantasy that he and Science are one and the same. To go against him is to endanger the health of every American.........

Clearly, the arguments are dishonest on two levels. (1) Vaccines for COVID and vaccines for yellow fever and polio are not comparable. The latter immunize fully and don’t need boosters soon after. (2) The argument, ‘you are not free to infect other people’ is quite brazen. Everyone knows that the fully vaxxed get and spread the virus as prolifically as the unvaxxed.

Suppose the latter stopped their slanders for a day to debate heretics...........As for what goes on under the Fauci nose, public and private health have been shifting medical science into the pseudo space.......... On one side is medicine and on the other Wokeism............ Fear = equals compliance = police state.

Fortunately there are still some sane people among America's judiciary as the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Ends School Mask Mandate.  Let's take note this case went to their Supreme Court, which was brought into being by "Pennsylvania Senate President Pro Tempore Jake Corman, a Republican who is running for governor.  And here's the important part.   It was filed personally, as a parent, along with other parents, and not as part of a Senate action."  And that's what it will take to end this insanity, parents, business owners, workers, all an informed and inflamed citizenry who are "mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore."

You don't have to go crazy as did Howard Beale in the 1975 film classic Network, but at some point we have to conclude we're being turned into dhimmi forced to pay the jizya, or in this case, a Vax or tax – forced into second-class citizenship sharia-style imposed by these tyrants.

Vax or tax – forced into second-class citizenship sharia-style by on December 6 points out:

The West has finally capitulated to sharia – Covid dhimmi (unvaccinated) is subject to the newest tax piled on Americans – jizya.  Nevada has just installed what was threatened months ago, “surcharges” on anyone who has not been vaccinated.  The sheer gall of any government agency or business instituting incontrovertibly unconstitutional requirements on citizens to pay for the privilege of retaining medical sovereignty over their body is beyond understanding. ........Is this what is coming down the pike for America? Coercing “unvaccinated” to play or pay is the Covid jizya of today – imposing onerous surcharges (taxes) in an engineered inflationary economy, isolating individuals and restricting freedoms of those who don’t follow the government Covid religion......The Krystallnacht demolition of Jewish businesses in Germany has been relived from 2020 until now as Antifa, BLM and Covid adherents have bullied and destroyed businesses and lives of anyone disagreeing with the CRT-Pandemic narrative.

These misfits are turning those who disagree, and with good reason, into the "others".  Others who can be not only be discriminated against,  but one in which people like this NEA board member who suggested the unvaxed deserve to die.  This insanity was openly rejected and criticized, but is this what they really believe?  I think it is, and they will not go quietly into the night and stop afflicting America, as is noted below in this classic bit of "projection" by the Meathead, Rob Reiner who claims Trump Followers ‘Are Not Hesitant to Use Guns’ — ‘We Have to Stop’ the Coup Now.

In Germany 'Ritual humiliation' is required of unvaccinated children put in front of classroom where the unvaccinated children must explain to their classmates why they're not vaccinated.  What kind of sadistic perversion forces this on children?

And there's more.  In order to be able to shop in Germany you must have  particular "wristband" and "those people who don't have the wristbands won't be able to go shopping across a multitude of stores." ".........reminiscent of 1930s Germany."  What kind of people do this to their population?

Oregon Health Officials Seek to Make Indoor Mask Mandate Indefinite, in spite of all the studies that show and are even unhealthy.

In New York 100 Unvaccinated Employees Who Claimed Religious Exemption were fired, New York City's Mayor mandated all workers, including private sector employees must be vaccinated.  The courts have put a halt to that, and the courts are shutting down Biden's insane vaccine mandate power grab

In Australia the Australian Health Department Denies Unvaccinated Patients Organ Transplant Surgery and Supermarkets, Groceries Can Exclude Unvaccinated.  But I knew some Aussies when in the Navy and they're just not the kind of people who just roll over and play dead just because "The Tall Poppies" say so.

In this post, Bringing Balance to Australia’s COVID-19 Story: The ‘Real Rukshan’ on Lockdown Protests they note:

News outlets portrayed the “government as doing great, the police are doing great, and that everything was great” in Victoria’s handling of the pandemic........... protesters were portrayed as fringe elements of society, “extremists” and “anti-vaxxers.”.........The weeks-long protest began when several members of the Construction, Forestry, Maritime, Mining, and Energy Union (CFMMEU) rallied outside the union headquarters over vaccine mandates in the construction industry.  The protests turned ugly with incidents of violence. Soon after, the Victorian state government issued a sudden mandate to shut down all construction work in Melbourne for two weeks.  The rallies escalated into a thousands strong march over several days around the city. Currently, protest activities continue on an almost-weekly basis, now drawing in people from all walks of life.

Most neoliberal nations no longer talk about the global ideological struggle once pitting "free" and "controlled" states against each other.  Why?  Because that distinction makes little sense when Australia is hunting down citizens for fleeing its quarantine concentration camps and Finland is putting Christianity on trial.  I'm trying to remember...who won the Cold War again?

The protests continue, and I believe will grow, even as it has in Belgium.  Thousands Peacefully Protest COVID-19 Restrictions in Belgium, Small Group Clashes With Police, and with good reason.  The Vaccines aren't vaccines, they don't work and there is a long list of negative health issues with these shots.

My commentaries, Vaccine Mandates: Truth and Consequences  and Vaccine Mandates: Truth and Consequences, Part II deal extensively with this.  These  COVID Vaccines are Failures.........

Since vaccines are the only exit strategy, news was suppressed on potential early treatment strategies, COVID’s low risk to children, alternate strategies to lockdowns, and vaccine side effects. The NIH could have led by initiating RCTs on early treatment regiments, face masks, natural immunity, and vaccine-induced myocarditis. Instead, physicians now lose their medical licenses for prescribing FDA approved drugs, like ivermectin, for off-label uses that 200+ members of Congress, Japan, and India used successfully.

Disregarding natural immunity was the most blatant, dangerous CDC lie, since many who refuse vaccination understand that prior infection is more protective. Furthermore, by not separating prior infected from the vaccinated and unvaccinated cohorts, the VE becomes meaningless. Only the most blind refuse to see that first responders, who put their lives on the line in the early pandemic to treat COVID patients and quell riots, are now sacrificing their livelihoods to refuse vaccines they don't want -- many were infected early while working tireless hours to protect Americans and now have lost jobs in the midst of hospital and police worker shortages.

In this piece, Union Magazine (ALPA) Reveal That Pilot Deaths Increased 1700% Post Vaccine Mandate? on December 9, 2021 by  Bruce Hoenshell it's noted:

Pilots undergo medical examinations every year. This exam includes the heart, eyesight, hearing, brain, and so on. From a certain age, the health check must be carried out every 6 months. It is very unlikely that pilots have any previous illness that doctors didn’t know about it!  However, a recent Tweet with a piece of information from pilot’s union magazine caused a lot of controversies!  The controversial tweet states that Pilot Deaths increased 1700%  And that’s only the first 9 months of 2021 over 2020!........

We found a better picture and some more data on previous years. Comes from their membership department, so not a rock-solid dataset, but still noteworthy IMO.

Isabel van Brugen and Jan Jekielek write, a Yale Epidemiologist states this COVID-19 a Pandemic is  nothing more than fear ‘manufactured’ by authorities, saying:

In an appearance on Epoch TV’s “American Thought Leaders” program, Risch, an epidemiology professor at the Yale School of Public Health and Yale School of Medicine’s Department of Epidemiology and Public Health, argued that by and large, what has characterized the entire CCP (Chinese Communist Party) virus pandemic has been a “degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”  “Overall, I’d say that we’ve had a pandemic of fear. And fear has affected almost everybody, whereas the infection has affected relatively few,”

“By and large, it’s been a very selected pandemic, and predictable. It was very distinguished between young versus old, healthy versus chronic disease people. So we quickly learned who was at risk for the pandemic and who wasn’t. “However, the fear was manufactured for everybody. And that’s what’s characterized the whole pandemic is that degree of fear and people’s response to the fear.”

Where is this going? calls this The Covid, climate alliance saying:

Think about it. What does Marxism seek to do? It is a top-down authoritarian form of governance where control of free will and freedom of the individual is a must. This force’s dependence on the state, and in the spiritual aspect, forces a person to choose between that dependence and one’s religious belief.

So what are you seeing here? Covid policy is a tactic to control. The Virus is GOING TO NATURALLY MUTATE TO GET AROUND ANY TYPE OF ARTIFICIAL RESISTANCE. Nature does that all the time. But think what the reaction, no matter what the intention, has done. It forced a sense of fear and almost blind reliance, and outsourcing of one’s freedom, to someone who will take care of you. The age-old question of is it better to be safe or strong enough to resist a threat comes to mind, Those seeking safety first will trust someone else rather than themselves. How else can you explain an almost blind allegiance to someone who has not actively treated a patient in a practice for over 30 years, over doctors on the front lines offering suggestings on how to stop this. Dr Fauci, who is now floating the trial balloon of renewed lockdowns. Right in time for the holidays.

They want to talk math and science right? Okay. Tested positives are near 50 million. It is hugely telling that the people pushing a vaccine have not set up antibody testing stations around the country with the availability of testing or vaccination sites, You can get the shot anywhere, but you can’t tell if you have Covid antibodies in the same ratio, It is common knowledge now that natural immunity ( and for goodness sakes.  This should be intuitive),.  Why isn’t the French vaccine available here? It uses the tried and true method of prevention, stimulating your body to create its own antibodies and then becoming more mutation resistant

Nature is a stronger and longer defense against COVID. So why would you not want to get an actual count of people with antibodies?, rather than a tested count? THAT MAKES NO SENSE. And its baffling how people don’t see that.  Or don’t ask why vaccines like the one above are not available.  Dr  Fauci says it spread 5x faster than flu. By HIS IDEA the whole country should have had it by now. But no matter let’s take how many people have been vaccinated. It is over 230,000,000 million, You have 50 million immune. and if the vax is so powerful that it is our patriotic duty to get it, even though there is risk

The end result is fulfilling the left's all time goal of ending individual rights, and whether it's this false pandemic or environmentalism, it's all about control, power and tyranny of the elite over the masses.  It's insanity, and as notes:

"Covid or climate there are just too many common links to ignore."

Let's try and get this right, please.  The left is like rust, it never sleeps, it also never gives up and it always lies.  Like Satan, it's constantly changing itself into an angel of light in order to deceive the masses into giving them the uncontrolled power they so cravenly desire.  Whether it's this fraudulent pandemic or the fraudulent climate change scares, these are just tools for them to do get that power.

The consequences of leftism?  While promising utopia, what they never fail to deliver is dystopia, which follows leftism like Sancho Panza following Don Quixote, a madman.  That's history, and that history is incontestable.

Pandemic Disruptions Give Reasons for Optimism

/

No one wants to live through a pandemic. But for those who don’t have a choice, there is a silver lining: pandemics have historically brought about periods of social disruption that have had positive outcomes for the following generations. There are reasons to be optimistic that we will experience some of that today.

The most prominent historical example of this is the Black Death in 14th century Europe, which by some estimates wiped out 30 to 50% of the total population (exact numbers are not known). The comparison to COVID-19 deaths is dramatic: As of a month ago, 0.2% of Americans have died from COVID-19. (Not that you would know it was such a small percentage considering the sturm und drang). We may think the death count from this pandemic has been traumatic, but we simply cannot comprehend what it would be like to lose a third or more of the population.

But for those who survived the medieval plague, and for succeeding generations, rapid depopulation created an opening that had not existed in the entrenched social hierarchy of the largely feudal society. Labor shortages suddenly allowed for social mobility, and gave the underclass a voice. Says anthropologist Sharon DeWitte: “the Black Death marked the beginning or, at the very least, an acceleration of a huge economic and sociological shift in Europe.”

When the world seems to be ending, it might be on the verge of changing for the better. It’s possible that we’ll get to experience analogous sociological shifts today, but, luckily for us, we haven't had to endure dramatic depopulation. Policy decisions that were intended to “slow the spread” of disease instead brought every aspect of our personal and economic lives to a halt. Before the pandemic, our society was functioning on autopilot. Now we have a chance to take back control of the wheel -- and the momentum to do so.

There are plenty of things ready to get disrupted, and that energy can be felt strongly where I live: New York City. On the Reason Roundtable Podcast episode “Economy is Weird Right Now”, Reason editor-at-large Nick Gillespie described New York City as feeling like a “deflated balloon.” That’s an apt description for a place that has always considered itself to be the center of the universe. But Gillespie ends his point optimistically, noting that while it’s unlikely that New York will ramp back up to pre-pandemic levels in the near term, he believes there’s a lot of potential because there was so much detritus that needed to be cleared away.

Many New Yorkers knew that was true, but as long as the city was growing, there was little incentive to do anything about it. We complained: about the public school system that consistently failed students, the MTA that continually hiked fares while offering deteriorating service, the unaffordable housing, and the proliferation of homeless people. But New York was still New York: it was the business capital, the place where opportunities existed for everyone, and the home of theater, art, and culture. It didn’t seem like anything could radically change that.

Then, the pandemic brought the city to a standstill. More than anything, it irrevocably ended a tradition that had become a myth: that white collar work must be done from a specific office location five days a week. Thanks to computers and smartphones, office workers have known for a while that their job can be done from anywhere. But for a long time, there were good enough reasons to pretend otherwise. Once offices were closed, many young people found it was much easier to live where they could own a reasonably sized house and pay a reasonable share of their income in taxes -- places without homeless people, unreliable subways, or failing schools.

How this will affect New York in the long run will probably depend largely on how our policy makers adapt to changing circumstances. In July 2021, then-Governor Andrew Cuomo urged employers to bring everyone back to the office, and said publicly that a 15% decrease in the number of people returning to New York “would be devastating.” During the same briefing, Cuomo also addressed rising crime statistics, saying he’d heard from many people that they “just don’t feel safe in New York City.”

The city is currently glowing from reports that it’s exceeding sales tax expectations, and Wall Street has announced a record year for profit — both of which indicate a strong economy. But this month, Nicole Gelinas reports for the New York Post that 11% of New York’s pre-COVID private sector jobs are “still missing” -- and that includes a 7% drop within the financial sector. We’re hovering very close to the percentage of decline that Cuomo warned would be devastating.

The fact that New Yorkers elected Eric Adams for mayor indicates they might be waking up to this reality. Adams is a black former-cop who pledged to be tough on crime and took a comparatively moderate economic stance compared to the other candidates. There is at least some reason to be optimistic that New Yorkers believe the progressive jig is up.

New York is just one example of this trend. Disruptions are occurring across our societal landscape. A particularly exciting example is in public schooling. In 2020, school closures and virtual learning gave parents, many of whom were also suddenly working from home, a window into the classroom every day.

Issues compounded: the invasion of Critical Race Theory; teachers unions insisting that schools remain closed; ongoing mask mandates; parental frustration. This past year, parents have challenged their school boards like never before — and gone viral in the process. In Loudoun County, VA parents are working to recall their school board. An easy way to tell that the school system is receiving unprecedented pushback is that AG Merrick Garland unleashed the FBI to investigate angry parents.

But even while many parents continue to fight with school boards, more parents are pulling their kids out of institutional schools to homeschool instead. In the academic year 2020-2021, 11.1% of American households with elementary school-age kids reported homeschooling, doubling from 5.6% the year before. Among families that self-identified as black or African American, the change was even more significant, rising from 3.3% to 16.1%. “American homeschooling goes boom,” writes Suzy Weiss, in a long-form article that is well worth reading in full.

According to the New York Times, public elementary school enrollment in NYC declined 4.5% in 2020-2021, and Reason reports that NYC charter schools experienced a simultaneous 7% increase in enrollment (though Reason indicates that NYC politicians have been suppressing that information). The New York Times goes as far as to call the pandemic’s effect on public schooling “profound.”

In Virginia, the home of Loudoun county, all eyes have been on the gubernatorial election where conservative candidate Greg Youngkin made education a central feature of his run. He said in a recent speech: “this is no longer a campaign, it is a movement where we are all standing up for our children.“ Youngkin’s surprise victory over Democrat McAuliffe was immediately tied directly to his position on education. Many commentators pointed to McAuliffe’s ruinous debate gaffe, where he said “I don’t think parents should be telling schools what they should teach” as a turning point of the race. In September, McAuliffe held a lead in polls among those who ranked education as a top policy priority. By the end of October, that group had swung to Youngkin by a significant margin. Headlines following the election are already hailing Youngkin for turning the Republican Party into the “Party of Parents” -- and outlining a roadmap for the rest of the GOP to follow.

Could this be the beginning of fundamentally disrupting our education system? As a long-time proponent of school choice, I feel hopeful. Whether you believe that the school system simply needed reform or it needed to be upended entirely, the fact remains that public schools and teachers’ unions had existed to benefit faculty and staff (rather than the students) for far too long. The pandemic finally upset the status quo and gave parents back their voice. A new dynamic that puts the parents back in charge has the potential to dramatically improve the lives of future generations of students — generations that might otherwise have been stuck in a system that seemed intent on doubling down on failure.

The pandemic has been an overdue catalyst for change. I sincerely hope we can seize the opportunities available in these moments of upheaval instead of letting them pass us by. It can be tempting to “return to normal” — and many voted for Biden based on that idea alone. But our old “normal” was a process of slow decline, brought about by our entrenched, self-interested institutions. It suited them to have us believe they were too big to be challenged, and too necessary to live without. But they never were. Now that we know that, let’s go after the rest of the government.

The Pandemic of Tyranny and Hysteria Fuels Economic Crises

By Rich Kozlovich

Along with other sites I subscribe to I subscribe to Geopolitical Futures, which is a paid subscription site.  I also subscribe to a number of free sites, including the Johnstown Foundation, and the American Institute for Economic Research.

So that  no one will have to ask, I'm not getting paid to promote these sites.   What I do is follow the facts wherever they may lead.  My personal motto is "De omnibus Dubitandum", everything is to be questioned.   P&D is about good and reliable information and analysis, and they provide it, so I promote them.  That may change, and if so, so will I, as has happened with others I no longer trust as they've gotten lost in the pews of the Church of Wokeness.  Both of these sites will provide a massive level of information you will never see in the news.

So I highly recommend everyone should subscribe to all these sites in order to get daily analyses on what's going on in all parts of the world.  All presented without hyperbole, hysteria and slanted politics. I don't always agree with what's said, but I find their conclusions are predicated on the facts as they see them, and usually their conclusions are excellent.  In the case of Geopolitical Futures each writer is an expert on the area they discuss, as in the case of Geopolitical Futures, George Friedman, the owner of Geopolitical Futures, notes in  his commentary on supply chain issues:

Ekaterina Zolotova and Phillip Orchard can explain why Russian-Chinese maneuvers are insignificant. Antonia Colibasanu and Francesco Casarotto can try to explain Europe. Hilal Khashan can talk about why Lebanon will totally collapse for real this time (I thought hisThe Illusion of Arab Nationalism, was very enlightening. RK) and Allison Fedirka can explain the latest weirdness in Venezuela.

This piece started with Allison's analytic article, For Brazil, a Bad Year Could Get Worse, a subscribers only article, she outlines how:

Severe disruptions and erratic trade dynamics are wreaking havoc globally but manifest differently in each country. Brazil deserves closer examination because its $1.4 trillion economy is home to the largest, busiest port in South America, and it is among the world’s leading food producers. Major failures in this economy can ripple through the region as well as global markets.

In the course of the article she shows these trends in Brazil, and this is only the tip of the iceberg, and not just for Brazil.

  • climbing inflation,
  • food supply issues
  • imbalances in the labor market
  • limited tools to mitigate the damage
  • price jumps in electricity, cooking gas and food
  • interest rate hikes
  • unemployment and underemployment
  • persistent supply chain complications..
  • international trade

She went on to note, in Brazil "this year nearly 5 million people fell out of the middle class." Is it any wonder?

This "excellent" piece lent itself to this expanded commentary by me.  Her analysis should be read by every pundit, newscaster and opinion maker as a worldwide wake up call to end this "pandemic" of hysteria and tyranny.  I’d add every world leader to that list,  but I suspect they already know all this and have another agenda entirely.

As for America, we’re capable of re-developing our internal markets as things shift, and in point of fact, I believe this may very well start what I believed was inevitable, as least before Biden and his band of economic incompetents took over, and that is, manufacturers moving back to America.  However, our crumbling economic foundation is getting people to go back to work.  We have the jobs, just need employees.  Staying home and getting paid, not having to pay rent, etc., is our crumbling foundation, along with the cost of energy.  If we stop the hysteria, the unemployment issue could fix itself, but what about what is going to become an energy crisis, especially this winter.  The costs are going to skyrocket, and there may even be an issue with availability, as there was during the Carter years.

That needs Congress to end Biden's foolish green insanity, but this isn't just a problem at the federal level.   This dangerous green agenda to change the State of New York's Constitution, which would give them unprecedented power to destroy that state's economy, is a national trend.

It used to be Global Warming but the world is going to go into a cooling period, so it's now Climate Change, and we might very well be facing what's called a Solar Minimum, which means massive cooling.  That's what Washington faced at Valley Forge, which was about a 75 year gap between what's call the called the Maunder and Dalton Minimums, and it never really warmed up all that much during that gap.  If there's going to be a big cooling period, which the solar cycle patterns say that's what's coming, that, with all the permutations that implies,  has to be added to the equation.
But I think Allison's analysis is a recipe for what’s going to happen to much of the rest of the world, and China’s economy, which was never really what everyone claimed, is going to suffer more than ever after the Evergrande collapse, which I see as their Stock Market Crash of 29.

The Crash of 29 didn’t cause the Great Depression.  Unemployment was around 2% before the Crash, it only went up to 8% after, and if left alone it would have bottomed out mostly likely in two years or less, recovered, and been nothing more than a hard short recession since very few people owned stocks in those days.   What it did trigger was Hoover’s hysterical government responses that drove unemployment up to 15%.  Then FDR out Hoovered Hoover in spite of criticizing him for what he did during the 32 election campaign.

During the FDR years, unemployment bottomed out at 9%, topping at around 25%, and averaging 15% from 1932 until WWII with FDR’s Keynesian economics of government interference, massive spending and creating a mass of bureaus, agencies and regulations.   I might add filling them with communists, Soviet agents, socialists and fellow travelers, including "the Office of Strategic Services, the predecessor to the CIA, housed at one time or another between fifteen and twenty Soviet spies."    See Venona Intercepts.  If you haven't already done so, I would like for you to think about that for a while, and see this farther, deeper and wider than your peers as you apply it to who openly occupies the seats of power now.  Your conclusions should be startling.
I said that to lay foundation for believing this is what will happen in China after Evergrande collapses. Because Xi is another Mao, I suspect we’re going to see long term economic deterioration in China.

The Most Frightened Nation

Why the United Kingdom will never be the same

What was once the land of “keep calm and carry on” could now be the “most frightened nation in the world.” So says Laura Dodsworth, author of A State of Fear: How the UK Government Weaponised Fear During the Covid-19 Pandemic. Data seem to bear her impression out. According to an Ipsos MORI poll conducted in July, an impressive 27 percent of Britons want to impose a government-mandated nationwide curfew of 10 PM—not then in force—“until the pandemic was under control worldwide,” which might be years from now. A not-inconsiderable 19 percent would impose such a curfew “permanently, regardless of the risk from Covid-19.” Presumably, these are people who don’t get out much. While 64 percent want Britain’s mask mandate in shops and on public transport to remain a legal requirement for the duration of the global pandemic, an astounding 51 percent want to be masked by law, forever.

There’s more: some 35 percent want to confine any Briton who returns from a foreign country, vaccinated or not, to a ten-day home quarantine—permanently, Covid or no Covid. A full 46 percent would require a vaccine passport in order to travel abroad—permanently, Covid or no Covid. So young people today would still be flashing that QR code on whatever passes for smartphones in 2095, though they might have trouble displaying the device to a flight attendant while bracing on their walkers. Likewise, the 36 percent who want to be required to check in at pubs and restaurants with a National Health Service contact-tracing app forever. A goodly 34 percent want social distancing in “theatres, pubs and sports grounds,” regardless of any risk of Covid, forever. A truly astonishing 26 percent of Britons would summarily close all casinos and nightclubs forever. Are these just a bunch of fogies who don’t go clubbing anyway? No. In the 16-to-24 age bracket, the proportion of Brits who want to convert Ronnie Scott’s jazz club in London’s Soho into a community lending library, even after Covid is a distant memory, soars to a staggering 40 percent..............

Mind, with no written constitution and no bill of rights, Britain has been drifting in an illiberal direction for years. Elaborate hate-speech statutes apply to “protected” groups, such as sexual and racial minorities, the list of which grows ever longer, in defiance of the democratic principle of equality under the law. A mere claim is sufficient to make something hate speech, so guilt depends only on some touchy member of the public pointing a finger. Even posting a droll limerick on Twitter to which trans activists take exception has qualified as a hate crime, as has bannering the dictionary definition of “woman.” Police also lodge the oxymoronic-sounding (or straight-up moronic-sounding) “non-crime hate incidents” in citizens’ criminal records. Now numbering 120,000 over the past five years, non-crime hate incidents have included whistling the theme tune of Bob the Builder at a neighbor and leaving a hamburger bun in a Portuguese national’s driveway “due to their ethnicity.” Britain has imported wholesale the poisonous critical race theory / cancel culture package from the U.S., and its universities are as corrupted with this stuff as America’s. “Health and safety gone mad” is a British tabloid cliché. Thus, the U.K. was already primed for social control when Covid hit..........To Read More....
