Let's start this article with Molly Slag's July 20, 2023 article, America’s Degradation Is No Accident saying:

Do you remember the 1966 film The Sand Pebbles? In the closing scene, sailor Jake Holman (Steve McQueen) is killed by two rifle shots fired by soldiers during the Chinese Nationalist Northern Expedition. The two shots are a few seconds apart. After receiving the shock of the first bullet, the disoriented and moribund Holman mutters, “What happened?” Then, realizing his life is rapidly ebbing away, he shouts to the universe, “What the hell happened?!” With these words comes the crack of the second shot.

What happened is this is the conclusion of almost 150 years of leftist infestation and infiltration of the nation's institutions. The left has been working to destroy any sense of commonality in America forever, and have been instrumental in promoting this insane violence.  As their vile infection spread it grew and we're now reaching the point where America will be just like the Balkans.

Their religion has many branches, and they use them all.Environmentalism, feminism, lawfare, socialism, LGBT + perversion, racism, and many more. Immigration, both legal and illegal, has filled the nation with anti-American Islamists.  In England it's so bad  ‘Britain will be fully Islamic soon’:

Tate has a point. Britain (and other Western countries) are in free fall, with little or no efforts to preserve its own heritage and history. The core values of the Judeo-Christian ethic have largely been discarded. Biblical values are now deemed to be outdated and “white supremacist,” even though Christianity originated in the Middle East.  In large part due to the subversion of the Christian ethic in the West, particularly under the influence of Islam and wokeism, instability is on the rise. The rule of law, including the freedom of speech, is under attack. In such situations, the most zealous entities generally prevail. Islam and Communist China are now the most dominant forces worldwide. Unless there is a strong Judeo-Christian resurgence in the West, the West is finished. 

A strong Judeo-Christian resurgence in the West?   Really?  And whose going to lead it?  Heresy is now the rule, not the exception in Western "Christian" churches. In German a Lutheran Pastor preaches that ‘God is queer’, in Sweden the "The Church of Sweden declared teen star climate activist Greta Thunberg to be an appointed successor to Jesus Christ in a 2018 tweet that resurfaced in the wake of her speech before the United Nations."

In education the teaching of facts and reality are punished with dismissal, as a biology Professor was fired for declaring scientifically proven truth that sex Is determined by chromosomes, and if you dare to call a man who" claims" to be a woman "sir", in Michigan that's a crime of  improper pronoun use and could land you in jail, or even a fine up to $10,000.  Then there's  Rachel Levine, formally known as Richard Levine, who isn't satisfied with just a ‘pride month’.  He wants a ‘summer of pride”.  And yes, he's a he, and this isn't Michigan.

The Kennedy Family’s Love Affair With Fidel Castro and Che Guevara

“Cheryl Hines is a successful actress, director, producer, and podcast host, but the Hollywood starlet may be gearing up to add First Lady to her long list of impressive roles,” reports the Daily Mail this week. “The 57-year-old's husband, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced this week that he's officially challenging President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination for the upcoming 2024 presidential election.”

Which is interesting enough, without the following: “She (Hines) even once had lemonade with Fidel Castro at his house in Cuba. 'We went to Cuba, this was probably 10 years ago, while we were there, my husband wanted to see if we could visit with Mr. Castro'….

"'When we got to the hotel, there was a guy in a white linen suit who said, "El Presidente will see you." 'They came and picked us up in a van, it was a nice van, I was like, "Woah, what's happening?"

"'We got to his house and he was wearing a track suit. We sat down with him, [my husband] and him spoke in Spanish for a while. They talked about assassination attempts, as one does when you're drinking lemonade. He was sweet. It was the best lemonade I've ever had, I don't know what was in it but it was fantastic.'"

As luck would have it, we discussed those (mostly bogus) assassination attempts here just last week.  But naturally, RFK Jr. swallowed Castro’s hoary propaganda hook, line and sinker. To wit:

“Despite its poverty, Cuba has managed some impressive accomplishments. Cuba’s government boasts the highest literacy rates for its population of any nation in the hemisphere" ….blah…blah…blah.

I’ll spare you the rest of RFK Jr’s regurgitations of Castroite propaganda in his article for the Inter Press Service from Jan. 2015, which also predictably denounces one of the crown jewels of post-war U.S. foreign policy: the phenomenally successful “Cuba embargo.”

We’ve discussed this so-called embargo at length here at Townhall, primarily how it’s not a bona-fide embargo by any stretch of the word’s definition, since for over two decades the U.S. has been among Cuba’s top food suppliers. The main provision of this “embargo” is that the relentlessly deadbeat Castro-Crime-Syndicate (mislabeled “Cuba” by the Democrat/Media Complex) pay cash up front for U.S. imports. This has made the U.S. taxpayer among the very few on earth spared fleecing for millions by the Castro-Crime-Syndicate…..speaking of which! 

From just this week:  “A British judge ruled that Cuba’s National Bank can be sued by lenders who are owed 72 million euros.” 

And speaking of the Kennedy family’s historic affection for the mass-murdering, terror-sponsoring Stalinists who have run Cuba; remember when RFK Jr’s mother Ethel Kennedy was discovered to have decorated both her Florida home and the Kennedy family’s estate named Hickory Hill in McLean, Virginia, with pictures of Che Guevara?

And remember how even before the shrieks of “Fake News!” from sophisticated liberals against “deplorables” could commence for spreading something so patently absurd  as a famous American political matriarch decorating her homes with pictures of  an epic America-hater whose lifelong craving was to incinerate the U.S.—even before any of this, Robert Kennedy Jr himself boasted for the public prints that  “My mom loves Che Guevara! Her dog is named Che!”     

According to Pinterest, the Che Guevara picture at Hickory Hill was (is) located in the late Robert F. Kennedy’s very home office!  

This makes the Che Guevara family presence all the more “fascinating,” considering that these Kennedys were America’s twin “commanders-in-chief” during the Cuban Missile Crisis, and during the infamous Bay of Pigs treachery which took place 22 years ago this very week.

More “fascinating” still, the Hickory Hill office picture is the original uncropped version. The famous Che Guevara pic seen on t-shirts and posters was a cropped version of one taken by Alberto Korda in March 1960. Korda’s real name was Alberto Díaz Gutiérrez and he was a KGB agent, as revealed by Soviet-Bloc intelligence defector Ion Pacepa. The cropped picture was spread throughout the world by I. Lavretsky and Giangicomo Fetrinelli, respectively full-time and part-time KGB agents, as also revealed by Pacepa. 

Hence, every person you see sporting that t-shirt or poster is a genuine “Russian colluder!”— though probably unwittingly in about 80 percent of the cases, when they qualify merely as morons. 

Several fascinating questions now arise: Was that Che pic present in RFK’s office in the early 1960s, when he was head of the famous Operation Mongoose, purportedly a Kennedy/CIA plan to assassinate Fidel Castro and overthrow his regime? If so, there’s no indication the Che pic was used as a dartboard, as it sits alongside what are (presumably) revered Kennedy family members. 

Now, if the man (Robert F. Kennedy) tasked with overthrowing the Castro regime kept a cherished picture of Che Guevara in his home office, are there any more questions why Fidel Castro died peacefully in bed at 90?

 

Pigs Are Flying—A Famous Rock Star Denounces Che Guevara!

“I still don’t like Che Guevara T-shirts. [Expletive] Che Guevara!.. To be in the company of people going, 'No way, man,' I cannot hear it…There’s a funny moment when you realize that as an activist: The off-ramp out of extreme poverty is, ugh, commerce, it’s entrepreneurial capitalism.” (U2’s singer Bono in a recent interview with an instantly disgruntled New York Times Magazine reporter.)

Just maybe, Bono has read beyond Rolling Stone and The New York Times, where he would have never learned that:  

In a famous speech in 1961 Che Guevara denounced the very “spirit of rebellion" as "reprehensible." "Youth must refrain from ungrateful questioning of governmental mandates," commanded Guevara. "Instead they must dedicate themselves to study, work and military service." 

Perhaps Bona can have a word with fellow rocker Graham Nash, famous for the lyrics in his hit Chicago: 

“If you believe in justice, if you believe in freedom, Let a man live his own life "Rules and regulations who needs them!”

This same Graham Nash has long been a vocal champion of the regime Che Guevara co-founded,  which regulates more of its subjects activities than has almost any regime in the modern history of the human race, from what they eat to what they read, from where they travel to where they work, etc. etc. 

Rules and Regulations, INDEED, Mr. Nash! 

The regime celebrated by Graham Nash has bound and gagged more political prisoners than any regime in the modern history of the Western hemisphere.

In 1979, Graham Nash proudly played with his musical cohorts (Stills and Crosby) at Havana Jam, a concert strictly for the Stalinist fiefdom’s nomenklatura and their offspring. Since then, Nash has often visited Stalinist Cuba.

Youth, wrote Guevara, “should learn to think and act as a mass." Those who “chose their own path" (as in growing long hair and listening to Yankee-Imperialist Rock & Roll) were denounced as "delinquents." In his famous speech Che Guevara even vowed "to make individualism disappear from Cuba! It is criminal to think of individuals!" 

On top of jailing political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin’s and murdering more people in its first three years than Hitler’s in its first six, here’s an (abbreviated) list of the things prohibited under penalty of jail and/or forced labor by the regime co-founded by the man cheeky free-spirit rockers often celebrate: 

1. To say "Down with Fidel!" or “Che Sucks!” Cuba’s constitution mandates 18 months in prison for anyone overheard cracking a joke against Castro or Che. If the neighborhood CDR (Committee for the Defense of the Revolution, imported to Cuba by the East German STASI, who grandfathered it from Hitler’s Gestapo) overhears any such deviation from “ideological purity” the regime “will want a word with you.” 

2. Travel abroad without permission from the government. (which is granted mostly to regime toadies and hacks. 

3. Switch jobs without regime permission. 

4. Switch homes without regime permission.

5. Publish anything without regime permission. 

6. Own a personal computer, a fax machine or a satellite antenna. 

7. Access the Internet. Cuba’s Internet is under constant regime “surveillance.” By the secret police. only a tiny percentage of the Castro regime’s subjects have access to the web, a lower percentage than in Papua New Guinea. This is a nation that pre-Castro/Che had more telephones and TV’s per-capita than most European countries.

8. Send your children to a private or religious school. All schools belong to the Communist party. 

9. Tune in to any free radio or television station. In Cuba, all media is property of the Stalinist regime. 

12. Read books, magazines, or newspapers not approved by the regime. All books, magazines, and newspapers in Cuba are published by the Stalinist regime. 

13. Receive publications from abroad or from visitors. This is punishable by jail pursuant to Law 88. 

14. Openly communicate with foreign journalists. 

15. Visit or stay in hotels, restaurants, beaches or resorts for tourists (regime permission is granted to a tiny number of regime hacks and toadies).

16. Accept gifts or donations from foreign visitors. 

17. Seek employment with foreign companies allowed to do business in Cuba (regime permission is required for employment with these accomplices with Stalinism).

18. Own your own home or business. 

19. Earn more than the wages established by the regime for all employees: $7-12 monthly for most jobs, $15-20 monthly for professionals, such as doctors and government officials. 

20. Sell any personal belongings, services, homemade foods or crafts without regime permission.

21. Fish along the coastline or board a boat without regime permission. 

22. Belong to any independent trade union. The regime controls all unions and no individual or collective bargaining is permitted; neither are strikes or protests. 

23. Organize any artistic performance without regime permission. (Don’t look for this announced at the Sundance Film Festival but before Robert Redford released the Motorcycle Diaries he was mandated to travel to Cuba and give a special screening for approval to one of the film’s co/producers: Fidel Castro. So in effect, this Castroite provision can actually extend beyond Cuba’s borders.) 

24. Select a doctor or hospital. The regime assigns them all. 

25. Seek medical help outside of Cuba. 

26. Hire an attorney. All are assigned by the regime. 

28. Refuse to participate in an event or mass demonstration organized by the Communist Party. (Turn down such an “offer” and watch your food rations shrink and employment status crumble.) 

29. Refuse to participate in "voluntary" work for adults and children. (see above) 

30. Refuse to vote in a single party election featuring only Stalinist candidates nominated by the Stalinist regime. 

31. Transport any food products for either personal or family consumption between provinces. 

32. Slaughter a cow. This "felony" is sanctioned by five years imprisonment. 

33. Purchase or sell real estate or land. 

34. Select a career. In the selection process for universities (all of which belong to the Stalinist regime), regime apparatchiks select it for you, closely reviewing your record of “ideological purity,” as reported to them by regime snitches. 

35. Invite a foreigner to spend the night at your home. 

36. Buy milk in a regime outlet for any child older than seven years. Only Cuban children up to seven years of age have the right to pay a quota for milk. After that, parents can only obtain milk in the black market—if caught and their “ideological purity” (as reported by regime snitches) is in question, jail time is usually in the offing for the hapless Castro subject. 

Today the world’s largest Che Guevara image adorns Cuba’s headquarters and torture chambers for its KGB and STASI-trained secret police. Nothing could be more fitting. 

But Graham Nash has many, many hot competitors in the Cuba stupidity contest. Owing to bandwidth constraints, we’ll only mention the one most closely breathing down Nash’s neck, Carlos Santana. 

So let’s recall the 2005 Academy Awards where the famed guitarist (on hand to perform the sound score for the Robert Redford-produced Motorcycle Diaries) couldn't contain himself. He stopped for the photographers on the carpet grand entrance, smiled deliriously and swung his jacket open. 

TA-DA! There it was:  Carlos' elegantly embroidered Che Guevara t-shirt. Carlos' face as the flashbulbs popped said it all. "I'm so COOL!" he beamed. "I'm so HIP! I'm so CHEEKY! So SHARP! So TUNED IN!" 

Tune in to this, Carlos: In the mid 1960s, Fidel and your charming t-shirt icon set up forced-labor camps in Cuba for, among many others, "anti-social elements" and "delinquents." Besides Bohemian (Haight-Ashbury, Greenwich Village  types) and homosexuals, these camps were crammed with "roqueros," who qualified in Che and Fidel's eyes as useless "delinquents." 

A "roquero" was a  hapless youth who tried to listen to Yankee-Imperialist rock music in Cuba. 

Comprende, Carlos? Do you see where I'm going with this, Carlos? 

Yes, Mr. Santana, here you were grinning widely -- and OH-SO-hiply!-- while proudly displaying the symbol of a regime that made it a criminal offense to listen to music by Carlos Santana!

When Mrs. Tom Brady Modeled Che Guevara

“Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen's marital woes continue to make headlines as multiple reports claim the NFL star is 'hurt' as the supermodel is the one spearheading their likely divorce,” Reports Yahoo Entertainment this week.

And speaking of people “hurt” by the supermodel’s behavior: ask the thousands of Americans of Cuban heritage whose fathers, grandfathers, brothers, etc. were murdered in cold blood by the terrorist/coward who supermodel Bündchen once cheekily modeled on her bosom and butt.

At the São Paulo fashion show on July 15, 2002, Bündchen catwalked wearing a glamorous bikini consisting entirely of faces of Che Guevara, who rarely bathed and constantly reeked of “boiled liver” and “rotting fish,” according to his early comrades and surviving victims. 

Granted, the future Mrs. Tom Brady probably thought the cool, long-haired image clinging to her bosom and buttocks that day depicted Pink Floyd’s lead guitarist, or perhaps The Door’s lead singer, freshly-bathed and redolent of Guerlain - but still.

Bündchen, once the world’s highest paid model and a champion of “female empowerment,” comes across as a genuinely decent person, devoted mom, and sincere philanthropist. Given her childhood in Brazil, her subsequent social circles and the educational qualities of the mainstream media, expecting her to have a clue about her Bikini icon that day seems unfair if not preposterous. Chris Matthews, after all, admitted that he learned much about the Cuban Revolution from The Godfather II. Time magazine, after all, hailed Che Guevara-- co-founder of a regime that jailed political prisoners at a higher rate than Stalin’s, murdered more of them than pre-war Hitler’s, and craved to ignite a nuclear war - as “Hero and Icon of the Century” alongside Mother Teresa.

Indeed, on this issue, being a high school dropout probably helped Mrs. Brady. Given the tenor of “higher” education nowadays, an Ivy League degree in any of the social “sciences” would have probably made her into an even more fervent cheerleader for Che-wear. So I offer the following more as missionary than as heckler:

Fidel Castro and Che Guevara’s regime jailed and tortured 35,150 Cuban women for political crimes. Some of these Cuban ladies suffered twice as long in Castro’s Gulag as Alexander Solzhenitsyn suffered in Stalin’s. Whatever the term “female empowerment” actually means, surely the definition includes the type of fortitude these ladies (mostly girls younger than yourself today upon their arrest) called forth to survive in Cuba’s prisons, forced labor camps and torture chambers. If not, then the term is even more air-headed than it sounds.

Finally free, they now find their torturer and the murderer of some of their loved ones glorified on everything from T-shirts to thong underwear. This in an age where “sensitivity” supposedly rules in every venue of public discourse.

These women’s prison conditions were described by former Cuban political prisoner Maritza Lugo. “The punishment cells measure 3 feet wide by 6 feet long. The toilet consisted of an 8 inch hole in the ground through which cockroaches and rats enter, especially in cool temperatures the rat come inside to seek the warmth of our bodies and we were often bitten. The suicide rate among women prisoners was very high.”

 “On Mother’s Day they allowed family visits,” recalls Manuela Calvo from exile today. "But as our mothers and sons and daughters were watching, we were beaten with rubber hoses and high-pressure hoses were turned on us, knocking all of us the ground floor and rolling us around as the guards laughed and our loved-ones screamed helplessly.”

“When female guards couldn’t handle us male guards were called in for more brutal beatings. I saw teen-aged girls beaten savagely, their bones broken, their mouths bleeding,” recalls Polita Grau. 

Many of these heroic ladies live in the U.S. today. But no producer for The View, Lifetime TV, etc.—much less the History Channel, has ever called them. No writer for Cosmo or Glamour or Redbook or Vogue has bothered either.

But you’ve certainly seen their torturer hailed by “feminist” reporters.

Upon the death of Raul Castro’s wife Vilma Espin in 2006 the Washington Post gushed that “she was a champion of women’s rights and greatly improved the status of women in Cuba, a society known for its history of machismo.” Actually, in 1958, Cuba had more female college graduates as a percentage of population than the U.S. 

This Castroite “improvement of status” somehow tripled Cuban women’s pre-revolution suicide rate, making Cuban women the most suicidal on earth. This according to a 1998 study by scholar Maida Donate-Armada that uses some of the Cuban regime’s own figures.

On Christmas Eve of 1961, a Cuban woman named Juana Diaz spat in the face of the executioners who were binding and gagging her. Che’s Soviet-trained secret police had found her guilty of feeding and hiding “bandits” (Cuban rednecks who took up arms to fight the Stalinist theft of their land to build Soviet–style Kolkhozes.) When the blast from the Castroite firing squad demolished her face and torso, Juana was six months pregnant. 

In 1962, a Cuban Catholic nun named Aida Rosa Perez was overheard saying things about Fidel Castro and Che Guevara similar to those Joy Behar and Whoopi Goldberg routinely broadcast about George Bush. Sister Rosa Perez was quickly rounded up at Soviet gun-point and sentenced to 12 years at hard labor. Two years into her sentence, while toiling in the sun inside Castro's Gulag and surrounded by leering guards, Sister Rosa collapsed from a heart attack.

The Cuban Archive project has fully documented many firing squad executions of Cuban women by the regime co-founded by Che Guevara. Over 200 women died from various beatings, brutalities and tortures while in prison. 

Thousands of Cuban women have also drowned, died of thirst or have been eaten alive by sharks attempting to “empower” themselves by fleeing the handiwork of your cheekiest fashion statement, Mrs. Tom Brady. This from a nation that prior to Castroism towered over your native Brazil in every socio-economic indicator. 

You’d like to think that in subsequent years Bündchen had learned a bit about her one-time Bikini decoration. Instead in 2016, when Obama’s “opening” made Cuba (still run by the regime that jailed and tortured the most black, female and gay political prisoners in the modern history of the Western hemisphere) the world’s “coolest” “be-seen” locale for celebs—even at this late stage of the game, Gisele Bündchen saw fit to join her hipster colleagues and model a Che beret in Havana.

 

Why Did Prince (Now King) Charles Honor Bolshevik Cuba and Pose in Front of Che Guevara?

Well, what could be more fitting than British royals snubbing the upstart leader of an upstart former British colony—and one who was elected by “deplorables” to boot? 

On the other hand, then-Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla not only rank as the first British Royals to grace Bolshevik Cuba with a visit—but back in March 2019 (aping President Obama three years earlier) they posed for a photo in front of the image of mass-murderer and faithful Bolshevik protégé Che Guevara.

More interesting still, the following Christmas, Prince Charles’ Christmas card celebrated his trip to Stalinist Cuba–the only regime in the Western Hemisphere to outlaw Christmas.

“Britain’s Prince Charles has chosen an Associated Press photo taken on his historic trip to Cuba for his Christmas card...the image by AP’s Ramon Espinosa shows the heir to the British throne behind the wheel of a classic car in Havana alongside his wife Camilla.  Charles, 71, visited Cuba in March in the first trip to the communist-run island by a member of the British royal family.”

Yet in 1969 atheist Stalinist dictator, terror-sponsor and mass-murderer (OOPS! Excuse me Democrats, Hollywood, and Fake News Media! I mean “free health care provider and liberator of Cuba from The Mob!”) Fidel Castro outlawed the celebration of Christmas in his Bolshevik-founded and run family-fiefdom/slave-plantation. The celebration of Christmas was re-allowed only in 1998, as a concession to Pope John Paul’s visit to Cuba and his concurrent condemnation of the U.S. for the “Cuba embargo.” 

In brief,  for over 30 years,  if caught celebrating Christmas in the place Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla chose to commemorate in their Christmas card, a Cuban could be nabbed by KGB-trained secret police, brutally bludgeoned, and thrown into a KGB-designed torture chamber.

The phrase “faithful Bolshevik protégé” is not flippant. The Bolsheviks, lest we forget, sadistically murdered an entire family of Prince Charles’ royal relatives (the Romanovs) in cold-blood, including the women and children, as they screamed in terror and pleaded for mercy. 

In case Prince Charles somehow “forgot” that terrifying historical datum, perhaps a famous song by a famous subject of Prince Charles (“Sir” Michael Philip Jagger) can remind him of the famous atrocity: 

 “I stuck around St. Petersburg, when I saw it was a time for a change, killed the czar and his ministers, Anastasia screamed in vain.” (Sympathy for the Devil, 1968.)

Nonetheless, according to Britain’s ambassador to Cuba Anthony Stokes, that royal visit to Bolshevik Cuba in March 2019 was a jolly-good show: 

“I think it’s been a wonderful visit and the first official royal visit to Cuba – I think that’s highly significant.”

“The solution to the world’s problems lie behind the Iron Curtain,” wrote Che Guevara who often signed his correspondence “Stalin II!” In fact, so fanatical was Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla’s photo prop’s devotion to the Bolsheviks that he even applauded the Soviet slaughter of Hungarian freedom-fighters in 1957. All through the horrifying Soviet massacre, Che dutifully parroted the Soviet script that the workers, peasants and college kids battling Russian tanks in Budapest with small arms and Molotov cocktails were all “Fascists and CIA agents" who all deserved prompt execution. 

Throughout the royal visit commemorated in her Christmas card, Duchess Camilla, a world-renown “women’s rights activist,” seemed enchanted to be photographed graciously meeting the KGB-trained apparatchiks and admiring the handiwork of a regime which ranks as the Western Hemisphere’s top jailer, torturer and murderer of (genuine) women’s rights activists. 

In fact, the regime that so enchanted Duchess Camilla jailed and tortured 35,150 Cuban women (and girls) for political crimes. This ranks as a totalitarian horror utterly unknown—not only in Cuba, under those unspeakable “right-wing dictators!” you always hear about in the Fake News Media—but in the Western Hemisphere. Some of these Cuban ladies suffered twice as long in Castro’s Gulag as Alexander Solzhenitsyn suffered in Stalin’s. The “crime” many of them committed in communist eyes was simply being related to an active regime opponent.   

Jailing, torturing and murdering people (particularly females) for the crime of being related to “enemies of the Revolution,” by the way, comes straight from the Bolshevik playbook. The practice was started by the Soviet Cheka and greatly expanded upon by Stalin during the Great Terror. Naturally, the Castros and Che Guevara adopted the practice with their own brand of gusto.

Can someone out there puh-leeze inform all those tourists to Cuba and all those visiting dignitaries, from Obama to Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla, that the building with Che the mass-murderer’s mural they love to pose with as a backdrop is the headquarters for Cuba’s KGB-founded and mentored ministry of the interior (i.e. secret police?) 

“Always interrogate your prisoners at night,” Che Guevara ordered his torturers during the early days of the revolution, “a man’s resistance is always lower at night.” That today the world’s largest Che mural adorns Cuba’s Ministry of the Interior, the headquarters for Cuba’s KGB- and STASI-trained secret police strikes many of us as perfectly fitting.

“American cars dating from before Cuba’s 1959 revolution are a common sight in the country,” continues the AP story on Duchess Camilla’s and Prince Charles charming Christmas card, “but the one Charles drove was a British-built 1953 MG…After driving the convertible to Havana’s John Lennon Park, Charles described it as 'the most beautiful car. It has an incredibly powerful accelerator.'"

By the way, has it ever occurred to his Royal Highness and all those other luminaries who habitually marvel at all of Cuba’s classic cars (and also habitually shudder at socio-economic conditions in pre-Castro Cuba as presented by Hollywood, the Fake News Media and Academia)– to ask WHY Cuba has such a treasure trove of luxury (for the time) cars? 

All those “classic” cars in Cuba were once spanking new! Gosh? I wonder why so many Cubans had so many of them?

Unfortunately the answer would force leftists to actually think.  Why is Cuba so full of beautiful “classic” 1950s cars? Well, maybe because during the 1950s, Cubans owned more cars per-capita than most Europeans–almost as many as those famous car freaks the Italians.

So what’s Castroite Cuba’s attraction to all those visiting pinko celebrities, politicians and tourists? Cuba’s “classic cars” certainly feature big in every news item on such visits.

Fine. Then shouldn’t all those airheaded visitors to Cuba thank Batista, Cuba’s ruler during most of the 1950s –the Snidely Whiplash/Darth Vader/ of the Castroite fairy-tale they cherish of 1950s Cuba?

 

The Vietnam Horror the Media Buried: How the Castros Tortured and Murdered U.S. POWs

“Trump Made Vietnam Veterans Day Official Holiday: Americans celebrate Vietnam Veterans Day annually on March 29 thanks to a measure signed into law by then-President Donald Trump in 2017…

"To each of you with me today, you are the heroes who fulfilled your duty to our nation. And each of you, under the most difficult conditions, did what you had to do, and you did it well," said President Trump.

The conditions were particularly difficult for the U.S. POWs held at the in Cu Loc POW camp in North Vietnam.

You see, amigos: In 1967 Fidel and Raul Castro–unable to get their hands on any defenseless Americans to torture and murder at home—sent several of their top torturers to North Vietnam, where defenseless Americans were abundantly available. Testimony during Congressional hearings titled, “The Cuban Torture Program: Torture of American Prisoners by Cuban Agents” held in November 1999 provide some of the harrowing details.

The communists titled their torture program “the Cuba Project,” and it took place during 1967-68 primarily at the Cu Loc POW camp (also known as “The Zoo”) on the southwestern edge of Hanoi. In brief, this “Cuba Project” was a Joseph Mengelese experiment run by Castroite Cubans to determine how much physical and psychological agony a human can endure before cracking.

The North Vietnamese—please note!—never, ever asked the Castroites for advice on combat, much less to lend them their “legendary guerilla commandant” Che Guevara. Genuine guerrillas knew that the anti-Batista “war” in Cuba had been a gaudy clown show/farce made gaudier by a servile U.S. media. The very notion of master guerrilla frauds Che Guevara and Fidel Castro aiding the Viet Cong must have seemed obscene if not hilarious to Ho Chi Minh and Giap. 

No, the North Vietnamese sought Castroite tutelage only on torture of the defenseless, well aware of the Castroites’ expertise in this matter.

For their experiment, the Castroites chose twenty American POWs. One died: Lieutenant Colonel Earl Cobeil, an Air Force F-105 pilot. His death came slowly, in agonizing stages, under torture. Upon learning his Castroite Cuban affiliation, the American POWs nicknamed Cobeil’s Cuban torturer, “Fidel.”

"The difference between the North Vietnamese and the Cuban torturer,” testified fellow POW Captain Ray Vohden, USN, “was that once the Vietnamese got what they wanted they let up, at least for a while." 

Not so with the Cubans. Earl Cobeil had resisted them to the maximum. 

"I heard the thud of the belt falling on Cobeil’s body again and again, as the Cuban torturer screamed 'you son of a beech! I will show you! Kneel down!–KNEEL DOWN!' The Cubans unmercifully beat a mentally defenseless, sick American naval pilot to death.”

“Earl Cobeil was a complete physical disaster when we saw him,” testified another fellow POW, Col. Jack Bomar. “He had been tortured for days and days and days. His hands were almost severed from the manacles. He had bamboo in his shins. All kinds of welts up and down all over; his face was bloody. Then the Cuban torturer again began to beat him with a fan belt.”

According to the book Honor Bound: “the tortures of U.S. POWs by Castro’s agents were “the worst sieges of torture any American withstood in Hanoi.”

But the Castros and Che Guevara also walked the walk regarding their solidarity with North Vietnam in another manner: “In one week during 1964 we counted 400 firing squad blasts from our cells," recalled former Cuban political prisoner and freedom-fighter Roberto Martin Perez to this writer. Given the rate of firing-squad executions in Cuba in the early years of the Cuban Revolution, thousands of gallons of valuable blood were gushing from the bodies of young men and boys, soaking uselessly into the mud or washing into gutters. What a waste, reasoned Cuba’s new rulers.

Heaven knows that Cuba, then as now, had a crying need for some foreign exchange. And here was an ocean of fresh, plasma-rich blood freed from its confines by bullets and spilling in torrents daily. Let’s collect it and sell it, reasoned the cash-hungry mass-murdering regime.

On April 7, 1967 The Organization of American States Human Rights Commission issued a detailed report on an overlooked facet of “President” Castro's much-lauded “health-care:” 

"On May 27, 1966 from six in the morning to nightfall political prisoners were executed continuously by firing squad in Havana's La Cabana prison, one hundred and sixty-six men were executed that day and each had 5 pints of blood extracted prior to being shot."

"Extracting this amount of blood often produces cerebral anemia and unconsciousness so that many had to be carried to the execution wall on stretchers," the report continued. "The corpses were then transported by truck to a mass grave in a cemetery outside the city of Marianao. On that day, the truck required seven trips to deliver all the corpses. On 13th street in Havana's Vedado district, Soviet medical personnel have established a blood bank where this blood is transported and stored. This blood is sold at fifty U.S. dollars per pint to the Republic of North Viet Nam."

The New York Times Is Still Glorifying Che Guevara

“As told by (Che Guevara biographer Oesterheld) in the graphic biography “Life of Che,” Guevara’s story is about values far deeper than communism — the same values that, in fact, have inspired people around the world to express support for Ukraine,” writes Etelka Lehoczky in The New York Times this week. 

“Oesterheld’s Guevara calls for economic and political fairness, self-determination for little countries and the need to keep big countries in check,” continues the glowing review of a recently unearthed biography of dead communist terrorist Che Guevara by dead communist terrorist Héctor Germán Oesterheld, who was presumably “disappeared” during Argentina’s “dirty war” in the 70’s. 

“Foreign reporters — preferably American — were much more valuable to us than any military victory,” snickered Che Guevara in his diaries. “Much more valuable than recruits for our guerrilla force were American media recruits to export our propaganda.”

At the time Che was snickering about Herbert Matthews of The New York Times, who essentially operated as a propaganda adjunct to the Castro brothers and Che Guevara’s KGB-directed guerrilla group. As evident from this week’s New York Times book review, the names have certainly changed but the propaganda services continue.

"One Thousand Killed in 5 days of Fierce Street Fighting! Commander Che Guevara appealed to Batista troops for a truce to clear the streets of casualties. Guevara turned the tide in this bloody battle and whipped a Batista force of 3,000 men," beamed a New York Times article on Jan. 4, 1959, while depicting the famous “battle” of Santa Clara in central Cuba, where The Times crowned Che Guevara

Che’s own diaries later revealed that his forces (which actually numbered a few dozen) had suffered exactly ONE casualty (a rebel named “El Vaquerito”) during this Caribbean Stalingrad, as depicted by The New York Times!

True to New York Times' form, during this “battle,” the paper didn’t have a reporter within 300 miles of Santa Clara. Instead, it relied on trusty Cuban Castroite “correspondents.” Your humble servant interviewed several participants and eye-witnesses (on both sides) to this “battle” and their consensus came to about five to seven casualties total for this Caribbean Gettysburg, as depicted by The New York Times—which is to say, about the same as the gunfire casualties during a slow weekend in Chicago or Baltimore.

Not that Che and Fidel were unappreciative of the help: 

“To our American friend Herbert Matthews with gratitude. Without your help, and without the help of The New York Times, the revolution in Cuba would never have been," said Fidel Castro while pinning a medal on NY Times reporter Herbert Matthews April, 1959. 

In fact, nothing remotely describable as a guerrilla war was taking place in Cuba in the late 1950’s. You’d never guess it from The New York Times, CBS and the others who “embedded” with Castro and Che’s ‘guerrillas” but the only genuine guerrilla war in Cuba during the 20th century raged during the early 1960’s and was waged mostly by Cuba’s working class and farmers against the Castro brothers, Che Guevara and their Soviet masters.  

Farm collectivization was no more voluntary in Cuba than in the Ukraine. And Cuba’s kulaks had guns–at first anyway. Then the Kennedy-Khrushchev pact left them defenseless against Soviet tanks, helicopters and flame-throwers, while Che lent a hand and cheered this appalling Soviet imperialism, same as he had cheered the Soviet slaughter of Hungarian freedom-fighters in 1956-57, denouncing them all as “Fascists!” And “CIA agents!”

This ferocious guerrilla war, waged 90 miles from America's shores, might have taken place on the planet Pluto for all you'll read about it in the mainstream media or see about it from Hollywood. To get an idea of the odds faced by those betrayed rural rebels, the desperation of their battle and the damage they wrought, you might revisit Tony Montana during the last 15 minutes of "Scarface."

Che had a very bloody (and typically cowardly) hand in this slaughter, one of the major anti-insurgency wars on this continent. Many of these anti-communist guerrillas were executed on the spot upon capture, a Che specialty. "We fought with the fury of cornered beasts," is how one of the lucky few who escaped described this desperate freedom fight against the Soviet occupation of Cuba through their proxies Fidel and Che. 

In 1956 when Che linked up with Fidel, Raul, and their Cuban chums in Mexico City, one of them (now in exile) recalls Che railing against the Hungarian freedom-fighters as "Fascists!" and cheering their extermination by Soviet tanks.

In 1962, Che got a chance to do more than cheer from the sidelines. He had a hand in the following: "Cuban militia units commanded by Russian officers employed flame-throwers to burn the palm-thatched cottages in the Escambray countryside. The peasant occupants were accused of feeding the counterrevolutionaries and bandits." At one point in 1962, one of every 17 Cubans was a political prisoner. Fidel himself admits that they faced 179 bands of "counter-revolutionaries" and "bandits." 

Mass murder was the order in Cuba's countryside. It was the only way to decimate so many rebels. These country folk went after the Reds with a ferocity that saw Fidel and Che running to their Soviet sugar daddies and tugging their pants in panic. That commie bit about how "a guerrilla swims in the sea which is the people, etc." fit Cuba's anti-Fidel and Che rebellion to a T. So in a relocation and concentration campaign that shamed anything the Brits did to the Boers, the gallant Communists ripped thousands of Cubans from their ancestral homes and herded them into concentration camps on the opposite side of Cuba. 

But leave it to The New York Times to somehow hail Che as a champion of “self-determination for little countries.” That Che Guevara answered to a KGB case-officer since 1956, declared that “the answer to the world’s problems lie behind the iron curtain,” declared that he “came to communism thanks to Daddy Stalin”—all of this makes the New York Times review not merely ignorant or ironic but  extremely  obscene in the manner of  classic KGB propaganda.

Further highlighting the sentimental claims in The New York Times’ book review as among the most asinine in print—even for such an asininity-provoking theme as Che Guevara—the Castro brothers and Che Guevara all had the same KGB case-officer (Nikolai Leonov) as did KGB Lieut. Col. Vladimir Putin, currently busy exemplifying his KGB/Stalinist pedigree.

 

Author of 1619 Project Nikole Hannah-Jones Decries 'Propaganda and Inaccurate History'

The author of the preposterous 1619 Project seems miffed by the growing grass-roots backlash against the force-feeding of her anti-historical rubbish and it’s offshoots to American schoolchildren. Over in Virginia, for example, Gov. Younkin kicked off his term with an executive order banning Critical Race Theory in Virginia’s public schools.  And down in Florida Gov. De Santis is pushing a bill to do much the same.

 “Many in mainstream media got caught up in the Republican propaganda campaign, which tried to conflate the teaching of a more accurate (italics mine) history, the teaching of structural racism, with trying to make white children feel badly about themselves or guilty,” whined  Nikole Hannah-Jones during a recent interview with the Associated Press.

Ms Hannah-Jones seems to imply that she’s a hard-nosed investigative historian who shrewdly and instantly detects propaganda and inaccuracy. Well: 

“Education is the cornerstone of the (Cuban) revolution. Nearly everywhere among the magnificent Havana architecture signs speak of equality and liberation through education," said a euphoric Nikole Hannah-Jones after a Potemkin tour of Stalinist Cuba. 

“Give me four years to teach the children and the seed I have sown will never be uprooted,” famously boasted Vladimir Lenin

Appropriately enough, Castroite Cuba’s most famous “elite” high school is named for Vladimir Lenin.  

“This summer (2008) I (Nikole Hannah-Jones) traveled to Cuba with six journalists, documenting the experiences of the African diaspora in the Western Hemisphere for the Institute for Advanced Journalism Studies in North Carolina. While there, I found a Cuba you may not know. A Cuba with a 99.8 percent literacy rate, the lowest HIV infection rate in the Western Hemisphere, free college and health care…When Castro took power, fewer than one-quarter of Cubans were literate. Many couldn't afford school. One of Castro's first acts was to universalize education…. Cuba's universal health care system is seen by many as a world model.”

Fact-Check: In fact, when Castro took power, which was barely 50 years after a devastating war of independence that cost Cuba almost a fifth of her population, Cuba boasted almost 80 percent literacy and budgeted the most (23 percent of national expenses) for public education of any Latin American country. 

Fact-Check: In 1958, Cuba had a higher standard of living than Ireland and Austria, almost double Spain and Japan’s per-capita income, more doctors and dentists per capita than Britain and lower infant mortality than France and Germany — the 13th lowest in the world, in fact. Today, Cuba’s infant-mortality rate — despite the hemisphere’s highest abortion rate, which favorably skews the figure -- is much lower from the top. So relative to the rest of the world, Cuba’s health care has worsened under the Castros and a nation with a formerly massive influx of European immigrants needs machine guns, water cannons and Tiger sharks to keep it’s people from fleeing, while half-starved Haitians a short 60 miles away turn up their nose at any thought of immigrating to Cuba. 

Without Castro, Cuba’s full literacy would have come about probably as quickly and without firing squads, mass graves and a political incarceration rate higher than Stalin’s. Most countries in Latin America with lower literacy rates than Cuba in 1958 have done just that. 

Better still, before the Castros and Che Guevara converted Cuba into an intellectual, moral and material sewer, Cubans were actually educated —not indoctrinated with worthless Marxist claptrap, as will many U.S. schoolchildren if Biden’s Education Department in cahoots with such as Nikole Hannah-Jones prevails. 

Instead of being force fed essentially the same Marxist imbecilities the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory force-feed its hapless victims, children in pre-Castro Cuba were allowed (encouraged, actually) to read such as George Orwell and Thomas Jefferson not just the arresting wisdom and sparkling prose of Che Guevara. A specimen:

"To the extent that we achieve concrete successes on a theoretical plane — or, vice versa, to the extent that we draw theoretical conclusions of a broad character on the basis of our concrete research — we will have made a valuable contribution to Marxism-Leninism, and to the cause of humanity." 

I quote "this intellectual, this most complete human being of our time" (Jean Paul Sartre’s description of Che Guevara) exactly. Cuba’s prisons aren’t its only torture chambers. With such reading assignments Cuba’s classrooms amply qualify for an inspection by Amnesty International. 

“Black Cubans especially are wary of outsiders wishing to overthrow the Castro regime,” Nikole Hannah-Smith reported after her Potemkin Cuban tour. “They admit the revolution has been imperfect, but it also led to the end of codified racism and brought universal education and access to jobs to black Cubans. Without the revolution, they wonder, where would they be.”

They would have been spared the boot-heel, lash and slave-yoke of a totalitarian regime which jailed and tortured the longest-suffering black political prisoners in the modern history of the Western hemisphere, that’s where.  Many Cuban blacks suffered longer incarceration in the dungeons of Che and the Castros than Nelson Mandela suffered in South Africa’s. Eusebio Penalver, Ignacio Cuesta Valle, Antonio Lopez Munoz, Ricardo Valdes Cancio and many other Cuban blacks suffered almost 30 years in the Castros’ prisons. Bloodied in their fight against Hannah-Jones’ tour guides, they remained unbowed.

But have you ever heard any of their names mentioned by the U.S. media? Eusebio Penalver became a U.S. citizen and lived in Miami for almost 20 years. He would have been a cinch for the media to track down. Has CNN interviewed any of them? Have you ever see any of them on “60 Minutes,” or read about them in The New York Times? Have you ever heard of them on National Public Radio during Black History Month, seen them on the History channel or A&E? Has the NAACP or Congressional Black Caucus mentioned them?

As Ernesto “Che” Guevara wrote in his famous “Motorcycle Diaries” (but was “overlooked” in the famous movie), "The Negro is indolent and spends his money on frivolities and drink, whereas the European is forward-looking, organized and intelligent." And as he famously sneered at a black Cuban questioner during a press conference in early 1959 who asked him what the revolution planned for blacks: “We’ll do for Cuban blacks exactly what Cuban blacks did for the Cuban revolution. By which I mean: nothing!” 

Che was much too modest. “Nothing” is not at all an accurate description of Castroite treatment of Cuba’s blacks. In fact, these lily-white European soldiers' sons (Fidel and Raul) along with Che forcibly overthrew a Cuban government where Cuban blacks served as President of the Senate, Minister of Agriculture, Chief of Army, and Head of State (Fulgencio Batista, a grandson of slaves who was born in a palm-roofed shack). Not that you’ll learn any of this from the liberals’ exclusive educational source on pre-Castro Cuba: the Godfather II movie, or –gulp—if Biden’s Education Department gets its wish, from the writings and blathering of Nikole Hannah-Jones. 

In fact: “(Pre-Castro) Cuba had probably the nearest thing to perfect equality between whites and blacks in the world.”

“Aaaaw come ON, Humberto!” some amigos snort. “I mean, let’s not get carried away here! It’s one thing to correct the left’s historical exaggerations! But let’s not exaggerate in the other direction. Puh-leeeze!”

Fair enough, amigos. Fine, then don’t take it from me. Take it from Life Magazine (not exactly a bastion of “embittered- right-wing-Cuban-exiles-with-an-axe-to-grind), where the “perfect equality between races” statement formed the headline on an article they wrote about Cuba in November 1938.  

Mexico’s President Praises Castro Regime for its ‘Dignity,’ Denounces US

"'The government I represent respectfully calls on the United States government to lift the blockade against Cuba,' [President Lopez-Obrador] said at an Independence Day event on Thursday attended by Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel and new United States Ambassador Ken Salazar, among other dignitaries," Mexico News Daily reported. “Because no state has the right to subjugate another people, another country,” Lopez-Obrador added.

“[The Cuban regime] having resisted 62 years without subjugation is quite a feat. … For their struggle in defense of the sovereignty of the country, I believe that the Cuban people deserve the prize of dignity…And I think that it should be declared a World Heritage site for the same reason,” Lopez-Obrador said July 11^th.

So let’s see: Your neighborhood grocer catches you repeatedly shoplifting from his store, repeatedly vandalizing his property and repeatedly defaulting on the credit he graciously extended you. So he finally cuts you off. According to Mexican President Lopez-Obrador this qualifies as your neighborhood grocer cruelly “subjugating” you.

Because, you’d never guess it from his propaganda auxiliaries in the Democrat-Media Complex, but the grocery analogy above is pretty much what the U.S. embargo (or “Blockade,” as the more rabid propagandists like AOC, Bernie Sanders, Maxine Waters, etc. call it) of Stalinist/kleptocratic/drug-trafficking Cuba  amounts to nowadays. 

In fact, for the past two decades, the U.S. has been one of Cuba’s top food suppliers. Just during the first half of 2021, our sales to Cuba (but all cash up front, baby!)  amounted to almost $200 million.

You see, amigos: The Castro Crime Family has gleefully fleeced taxpayers from the European Union to Canada, from South Africa to Mexico itself—in brief, the taxpayers of virtually every nation whose government granted trade credits to these kleptocrats and whose governments refrain from “embargoing” or “subjugating” the Castro-Crime-Family.

We’ve been spared such fleecing because on Oct. 1960—right after Castro’s gunmen stole $7 billion from U.S. businessmen and tortured and murdered a few who resisted—President Eisenhower imposed the first economic sanctions against the thieving, mass-murdering Stalinists who mostly (still) run Cuba. These sanctions grew into one of the CROWN JEWELS of recent U.S. foreign policy: The Cuba embargo.

Among the main provisions of the so-called Cuba embargo is that the Castro-Family-Crime-Syndicate pay cash up front through a third–party bank for all U.S. medical and agricultural products; no Ex-Im (U.S. taxpayer) financing of such sales. This cash-up-front policy has kept the U.S. taxpayer among the few who've been spared fleecing by the Castro-regime.

But this is hardly the first show of affection by President Lopez-Obrador for Cuba’s Stalinist oppressors. To wit: 

"We have a son named Jesus Ernesto. The first name in for Jesus Christ and the second for Ernesto Che Guevara…an exemplary revolutionary who gave his life for his ideals…Fidel Castro is a giant. He maintained Cuba as sovereign and free.” -Andrés Manual López-Obrador in interview with Univision’s Jorge Ramos.

Alas, Lopez-Obrador’s love is mostly unrequited: “Mexicans are mostly a rabble of illiterate Indians," said Ernesto “Che” Guevara in 1956.

In the historic annals of unrequited love few cases rival the affair by Mexicans and “Chicanos” with Che Guevara. Che’s iconization is sufficiently documented by U.S. Chicano groups in their murals (i.e. graffiti.)  To celebrate their Amerindian Aztec culture, these “Aztlan” types seem to plaster this lily white European-Argentinian racist’s mug on practically everything they paint. Mexico City itself features an iconic bust in honor of Che Guevara in in the prestigious Museo De San Carlos.  

Perhaps a word with some Bolivian Amerindians who actually experienced Che Guevara’s plans to Stalinize their culture would help. In 1967 these (overwhelmingly indigenous) Bolivians (with help from U.S. Green Berets and CIA operatives) made short work of this Chicano hero. If a picture’s worth a thousand words then this one’s worth a million. If irony shouts these pictures bellow. Please note the obvious ethnic compositions of the gentlemen proudly and triumphantly holding their guns over their vanquished “liberator” from European “oppressors.”

Prior to “invading” Cuba, Castro’s “guerrillas” “trained” in Mexico.  Some of these former “guerrillas” later defected to the U.S. and revealed how the sneering Ernesto “Che” Guevara constantly insulted his Mexican hosts. Hence, the Guevara quote mentioned above.

It was in 1955 that a Cuban criminal named Fidel Castro linked up with an Argentine hobo named Ernesto Guevara in Mexico City. Minus this historic hook-up everything points to Ernesto (shortly known a “Che”) continuing his life as a traveling hobo, panhandling, mooching off women, staying in flophouses and scribbling unreadable poetry. 

Instead this thoroughly unimposing vagabond and psycho named Ernesto Guevara had the magnificent fortune of linking up with modern history's top press agent, Fidel Castro, who for over half a century had the worldwide Fake News Media anxiously scurrying to his every beck and call and eating out of his hand like trained pigeons. His brother was no chump at this either.

Those champions of  “national sovereignty” as hailed by (Lopez –Obrador)  Fidel and Raul Castro were in Mexico plotting with KGB agents Osvaldo Sanchez and Nikolai Leonev while putting together a guerrilla band to invade Cuba, overthrow the black/indigenous Cuban head-of-state (Fulgencio Batista) and install a Soviet satrapy.  With the financial help of his wealthy (and duped) Cuban backers of the time, Castro hired a Cuban Korean war veteran named Miguel Sanchez to train his guerrilla band. None of the trainees had the slightest combat-experience so their curiosity on the matter of killing people did not surprise Sanchez. 

But one of the trainees struck Sanchez as a bit strange, especially the gleam in his eye regarding the act of killing. “How many men have you killed?” this trainee constantly asked Sanchez. “What does it feel like to kill a man?” 

“Look Ernesto (he was not yet known by his moniker “Che,”)” Sanchez would reply. “It was a war. I was in combat. It wasn’t a personal thing. Most soldiers don’t make it a personal thing. You aim at an enemy uniform and pull the trigger. That’s it.”

“But did you ever come upon a wounded enemy and kill him with the coup de grace?” A wide-eyed Ernesto Guevara would continue. “What did it feel like? I want to know what it feels like.” 

“It became obvious to me that the man who would shortly become known as “Che” wanted to kill for the sake of the act itself,” recalled Sanchez later from exile in Miami. “For the others—especially Fidel and Raul Castro—killing was a means to an end. That end, of course, was absolute power. The Castros' power lust fueled their killing, and it didn’t seem to affect them one way or the other. With Ernesto Guevara, however, it struck me as a different motivation, a different lust.” 

“He went into convulsions for a while and was finally still,” gloats Che Guevara in his Cuban diaries. He was lovingly describing the death agonies of a bound Cuban peasant he had just shot in the temple with his pistol. “Now his belongings were mine.” 

Unwittingly here, Che Guevara defines Communism in a nutshell: cowardly murder and theft.

DeSantis Awards Florida’s Medal of Freedom to Che Guevara Captor Felix Rodriguez

“Felix’s life has been dedicated to fighting communism, to supporting freedom, to supporting liberty, and we appreciate Felix as a brave and courageous freedom fighter,” said Governor Ron DeSantis. “From his service as a paramilitary officer with the Central Intelligence Agency during the Bay of Pigs Invasion to a Colonel in the United States Army at the height of the Vietnam War, Felix has marked his legacy as one of the bravest fighters for freedom in history. I am honored to award Felix the Governor’s Medal of Freedom and may God bless him and the Great State of Florida.” 

“Rodríguez said he is concerned about a socialist regime taking control of the United States. That’s beginning to happen, he warned," Florida Politics reports. "And he encouraged people to vote in the 2022 election, because losing the House and Senate could lead to what he called the United States of Socialism. “Go out and make sure that we’ll regain those two houses, because that’s the only way that we’re going to save the United States of America.”

Needless to add, no mention from the Democrat-Media Complex about an award for a man who helped take out one of America’s most virulent enemies—an enemy whose fantasies would have left Osama Bin Laden, Tojo and Hitler’s in the dust. To wit: 

• “The U.S. is the great enemy of mankind!” (Che Guevara, 1961.)
• “Against those hyenas there is no option but extermination!” (Che Guevara, 1961.)
• “We must keep our hatred (against the U.S.) alive and fan it to paroxysm!” (Che Guevara, 1965.)
• “If the nuclear missiles had remained (in Cuba) we would have fired them against the heart of the U.S. including New York City. The victory of socialism is well worth millions of Atomic victims.” (Che Guevara, 1962.)

Fantasies, that is. And it’s the thought that counts. Because as a practical matter—and in military/terror matters—the jackass-doofus-coward historically known as Che Guevara would make the ideal subject for a rollicking slapstick comedy by Sacha Baron Cohen, Saturday Night Live or Monty Python—if only these people  were interested in genuine humor instead of leftist sermonizing.  

In fact, simply ignoring an anti-communist hero like Felix Rodriguez isn’t enough for Democrats. Instead they also tried to defame and prosecute him. To wit:

Liberal Democrat John Kerry landed in Congress and immediately rolled up his sleeves and spat on his hands. The Nicaraguan people must end up like the Cuban and Vietnamese! Toward this end the man was tireless.

Soon Senator Kerry was chairing "The Senate Subcommittee on Narcotics, Terrorism and International Operations" quickly dubbed "The Kerry Committee" by his media cronies and soulmates. Soon it was boasting, "77 instances where the Reagan Administration misled Congress about its policies in Central America!" (I hold here in my hands!) 

Lest we forget, it was here that the famous "Iran-Contra investigation" actually started. The lurid accusations spawned an "Iran-Contra Committee "of its own not long after and Kerry pressed ahead with his. 

In short order, Kerry’s committee was leaking lurid details of a nefarious CIA/Contra drug smuggling plot with a Cuban-American named Felix Rodriguez as the bagman and Vice President George Bush as a silent partner. The commie-crackpot Christic Institute and Institute For Policy Studies served as the Kerry Committee's advisors. The latter had arranged his earlier Nicaragua fan trip, where he shook the hands and extolled the virtues of Castro-Soviet puppet Daniel Ortega. 

The Kerry Committee finally subpoenaed future President of the Bay of Pigs Veterans Association Felix Rodriguez himself. A little background: 

As a 19 year-old member of Brigada 2506, Felix infiltrated Communist Cuba weeks before the Bay of Pigs invasion, organizing underground freedom-fighters, planning for the sabotage of key roads and bridges, staying a step ahead of the Castro's secret police and their KGB handlers and coaches. Almost 70 percent of his comrades in the infiltration teams died in front of firing squads, after torture. Felix knew the odds. He volunteered anyway. 

After the Best and Brightest stabbed the Bay of Pigs freedom-fighters in the back, Rodriguez again foiled the Communist dragnet by slipping into the Venezuelan embassy and escaping a year later to Florida. After the Best and Brightest stabbed them again and twisted the blade with the Kennedy-Khrushchev swindle, Rodriguez, along with hundreds of his Brigada Band Of Brothers enlisted in the U.S. Army. 

Later, as a CIA operative, Rodriguez played the key role in tracking down and capturing Che Guevara in Bolivia and was the last to question him. "Finally I was face to face with the assassin of thousands of my countrymen, of hundreds of my patriot friends." 

On the day he gained his U.S. citizenship in 1969 Rodriguez celebrated the honor by volunteering for armed action in Vietnam. "I lost the country of my birth to Communism," he writes in his book, Shadow Warrior. "I know freedom must be protected. And I feel I owe it to my adopted country." 

Felix flew over 300 helicopter combat missions in Vietnam, and was shot down five times. He won the coveted Intelligence Star for Valor from the CIA and nine Crosses for Gallantry from the Republic of South Vietnam. Later he battled Communists in El Salvador using a helicopter "mobile strike unit" scheme he developed in Vietnam. He flew over 100 combat missions in Central America, captured the FMLF's top commander and helped crush those Communist-terrorists decisively. All this was volunteer work. 

Castro put a price on Rodriguez's head over three decades ago, and sent hit-team, after hit-team, after hit-team (including one lent to him by his chum Yassir Arafat) to murder Felix and his family in Florida. All—obviously—were foiled.  

Now a gaggle of grandstanding congressional paper-pushers presumed to browbeat and cow this man. I'll quote the heavy metal rockers Judas Priest here. "They had another THING coming!" 

Rodriguez was flying combat missions in El Salvador the summer of 1987 when his wife called to say his name was splashed all over the Miami Herald as a cocaine smuggler for the Nicaraguan Contras—and one who reports to Vice President Bush! 

Alarmingly (to Democrats), Rodriguez refused what weasel types call "immunity," for his testimony. And he didn't miss a beat—naming dates and witnesses, citing documents—he proceeded to demolish every accusation the Kerry Committee made against him. 

"I have nothing to hide," Rodriguez stressed repeatedly. "I'm not ashamed of anything I've done. I've battled communism since I was 17. I help the Contras, the Salvadoran government. I do so as a volunteer, legally and openly. And if you're sincere, senator," he finished up. "You'll put out a statement to the press about what I said here today. I insist that the American people know about my testimony!" 

No such statement was ever issued from Kerry's Committee. So two months later Rodriguez called a press conference in Miami to tell his side. 

A full year after leaking the slanders against Rodriguez and after the treacherous, lying swine who made them failed three polygraph tests, The Kerry Committee finally saw fit to allow Rodriguez's year-long request for an open hearing. They scheduled him as the fifth witness at 5 in the afternoon when the Senate chamber was devoid of reporters and TV cameras. In the near-empty room, Kerry finally mumbled a half-hearted apology.

The Uncancellable Left

'As someone who has a certain respect for what remains of the norms and implied rules of that ever-evolving language, American English, I try to keep up to date despite my advancing age. Despite this, the phrase “woke” grates the grammar fascist in me beyond explanation, so I have tried to soothe the tension by relying, respectfully but firmly, on the word “awake” to explain my commitment to helping purge society of all that is evil, wrong, and presumably “asleep.” I am desperately trying to become more awake.

In my quest to achieve a hyper-caffeinated version of being “awake” I am gratified to see the great movement forward has managed to cleanse such critical media outlets as Teen Vogue, the New York Times and children’s literature of racists, homophobes, and fascists. However, it seems to me that we have much bigger fish to fry. My awakened soul has called me to alert my comrades with the pitchforks, torches, and cancellation privileges to a number of unacceptably asleep individuals and historical movements that should be purged, cancelled, removed, and obliterated from our accepted discourse and intellectual lives. Out with discussion, pluralism, and context; in with the perfect amount of tolerance for the demands of purity.

Now, I don’t mean to cast aspersions upon my sleepless comrades who have focused rather narrowly on members of the American Founding, Dr. Seuss, Aristotle, and other unmistakably obvious candidates for expulsion from history, but we must face reality. 

A number of intellectual giants of the left must go. 

Karl Marx must be cancelled. This, of course, isn’t a secret to anyone who has actually bothered to read his historical theory, which has large sections focused on racial determinism............The same holds true for Rousseau..........It begins with one of the most widely recognized individuals among fashionably sensible awake people, Che Guevara. While Che’s face adorns countless t-shirts at elite universities and awake political gatherings in the understandable spirit of kinship with peasants wearing colorful clothing throughout South and Central America, he, along with his comrade Fidel Castro, also targeted and imprisoned gay people as well as engaged in racist activities in his lifetime. Bay of Pigs 60th Anniversary Part III—Humiliating Che Guevara and John Kerry

"This is the history of a failure," (Oddly frank opening lines of Che Guevara’s Congo Dairies.)

“Those Cuban-CIA men (Bay of Pigs vets) were as tough, dedicated and impetuous a group of soldiers as I’ve ever had the honor of commanding.” (Legendary anti-communist mercenary “Mad Mike” Hoare, commander of the “Wild Geese,” in his book Congo Mercenary.)

“I stood above Che Guevara, my boots near his head, just as Che had once stood over my dear friend and fellow 2506 Brigade member, Nestor Pino. "We're going to kill you all," Che said to Pino.” Now, the situation was reversed. Che Guevara lay at my feet. He looked like a piece of trash. I said, "Che Guevara, I want to talk to you." (Former President of the Bay of Pigs Veterans Assoc. Felix Rodriguez, recalling Che Guevara’s capture in Bolivia, where he played a key role.)

“Senator (John Kerry) your committee’s slander against me was in every g*dd*mmed newspaper after your committee’s last closed hearing! Saying I solicited drug money for the Contras. THAT, senator Kerry, is a D*MNED LIE!...and it difficult for me to answer questions from a man (you, the chairman of the committee) I do not RESPECT!” (Felix Rodriguez testifying for Senate Foreign Relations Subcommittee on Terrorism, Narcotics, and International Operations hearings chaired by Senator John Kerry in 1986. These evolved into the Iran-Contra hearings.)   

After being ransomed back by the guilt-stricken JFK after his Bay of Pigs betrayal, many of these Cuban freedom-fighters were itching to get back into the fight (but with ammo and air cover this time). The CIA obliged and sent a group of them with ex-marine Rip Robertson to the Congo in ‘64 where Castro (with tongue tucked deeply in his cheek) had sent Che Guevara to foment a “war of liberation,” training and commanding the alternately Chinese-and Soviet-backed “Simbas” of Laurent Kabila, who were murdering, raping and munching (many were cannibals) their way through the defenseless Europeans still left in the recently abandoned Belgian colony. 

Together Mad Mike, Rip and the Cubans made short work of Che and Kabila’s Simbas. Guevara himself barely escaped by hightailing it with his tail tucked firmly between his legs across Lake Tanganyika into Tanzania, with the Cuba-CIA men in hot pursuit. 

Too bad Hollywood never picked up on this exploit for one of their many glorifications of Che--worse still that Monty Python’s Flying Circus didn’t pick it up. I’ll even start the script for them:  “In 1965, while planning a military campaign in the Congo against crack mercenaries commanded by a professional soldier who helped defeat Rommel in North Africa, Che confidently allied himself with “soldiers” who used chicken feathers for helmets and stood in the open waving at attacking aircraft because a muganga (witch doctor) had assured them that the magic water he sprinkled over them would make .50 caliber bullets bounce harmlessly off their bodies. Six months later, Che fled Africa, narrowly escaping with his life and with his tail tucked tightly between his legs.”

Two years later, during his Bolivian “guerrilla” campaign, Che split his forces, whereupon they got hopelessly lost and bumbled around, half-starved, half-clothed and half-shod, without any contact with each other for six months before being wiped out. They didn’t even have World War II vintage walkie-talkies to communicate and seemed incapable of applying a compass reading to a map. They spent much of the time walking in circles and were usually within a mile of each other. During this blundering, they often engaged in ferocious firefights against each other.

“You hate to laugh at anything associated with Che, who murdered so many,” says Felix Rodriguez, the Cuban- American CIA officer who played a key role in tracking Guevara down in Bolivia. “But when it comes to Che as ‘guerrilla,’ you simply can’t help but guffaw.”

The most vital stanza of Daniel Ortega's Sandinista anthem (Latin American leftists catch and extra breath and sing it with all the fervor we use for 'Ban-ner ..ye-et WA-A-VE!') bashes the U.S. as "El E-NE-MIGO de la HU-MA-NI -DAD!) (the enemy of humanity!) The line was probably lifted from a Che Guevara speech. Naturally the authors of such an anthem stole the heart of many Democrats, including the Majority leader, future Speaker of the House, future Secretary of State and whatever high-‘falutin/cockamamie title Joe Biden recently gave John Kerry.

The Democratic crusade to throttle the Nicaraguan freedom-fight was now under full steam. One Cuba wasn't enough for these people. They were The Best and Brightest of a new generation. They'd picked up the torch from Camelot. The honor demanded that they pledge themselves to creating another tropical Gulag and slaughterhouse on our doorstep. If Latin freedom fighters battled desperately in the field against a Soviet-supplied enemy-- if these freedom-fighters had their backs against the wall-- if any looked northward through sweat-stung eyes and blood-drenched bandages for an ally--if hundreds were dying in freedom' cause with gritted teeth in a desperate and uneven struggle against a Communist common enemy--then these freedom-fighters MUST be stabbed in back! The legacy of Camelot DEMANDED it!
