The Oscars Exposes the Mephitic Ooze of Hollywood

First off, let's start with the phrase mephitic ooze.  I think it's a great phrase I intend to use over and over again as it fits so many scenarios in entertainment, journalism, government, and even business, all of which are infected with the corrupting and deadly viruses of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.  Tenets of the socially destructive Church of Wokeness.  Mephitic is defined as:  

"(especially of a gas or vapor) foul-smelling; noxious. "the cloud of mephitic vapors lingered above our heads"

Can any word define the Oscars better?  That's the Oscars, an ooze of foul smelling and noxious behavior.   On March 11, 2024 Daniel Greenfield published this piece, No One Cares About the Oscars, saying: 

Forget about it. Everyone else has. Hollywood’s top-ranked award show will dominate media coverage for the day and will be forgotten well before the week is over. The big FYC billboards will be rolled up and recycled. And the little golden statues will eventually end up on eBay. The Academy Awards started out as a private industry party and has become that again. And the Oscars are less relevant than ever because Hollywood is less relevant than ever.

I think that pretty much echos my views on the Oscars and Hollywood.  In 2021 I published this piece, The "Egomaniac Brigade", which was based on a Breitbart piece, Oscar Nominees Warned: No Acceptance Speeches via Zoom, No Hoodies, saying:

What's clear is the number of people watching these agonizingly long "award" shows, filled with self aggrandizing, over paid, over catered to, ego stroking, political pandering, ignorant "stars" spouting off about things they know little about is dropping like a stone.  Their "hate America" theme isn't playing well with ..... well.....Americans!.....  

I guess they didn't get the memo that Americans resent being called racists, greedy deplorables, desperately clinging to their guns and Bibles, and are really sick of being told "they owe" ..... well.... every loser in the world, and from all over the world, including the ones coming here to kill us.  

Yesterday the Egomaniac Brigade was parking cars and pumping gas and now they "just have" to share their views with the world on economics, culture, global warming, global pandemics, masks, lockdowns, racism, sexism, equality, gender, diversity, politics, social engineering of every sort, and ....well....____________, fill in the blank as the list goes on ad nauseam, and tomorrow more will be added.

Well, that was three years ago and nothing's changed, unless you consider the stench that's Hollywood has worsened.   These losers still think because they're "celebrities" they're experts on domestic and foreign policy for America, and more than qualified to define the national and foreign policies of other countries, especially Israel.  And they think the people of the world actually want to hear what they think, and I use the word "think" loosely. 

They're views on Israel are deplorable.  Israel is a small nation surrounded by enemies who massively outnumber them and devoted to their destruction.  A nation who's at war with a terrorist nation, Gaza, due to an unprovoked attack that was so vile disgusting it should h ave outraged the entire world.  And get over their efforts to redefine Gaza and the Palestinian authority, they are, terrorist nations, and now the Palestinian Authority has now openly allied themselves with Hamas to defeat Israel.  Hollywood support of these monsters really is deplorable.

Oscar winner Jonathan Glazer spewed out this irrational babble in effect "refuting his Jewishness  over Israel’s war of self-defense against Hamas", claiming the Holocaust was being hijacked by the "occupation".   These nutty demands for a cease fire are unending from these nitwits, all of whom had armed guards at the Oscars, many of them wearing red pins to publicly show their support of Hamas.  And make no mistake, a cease fire before Hamas is defeated is the defeat of Israel, as that allows Hamas to rearm, resupply, and continue their "stated goal of wiping Israel off the face of the map." 

Regarding these nitwits wearing red pins Robert Spencer notes in his article, Foes of Israel Wore Red Hand Pins at Oscars, saying these public demonstrations are:

A reflection on the full horrific symbolism. The Oscars are always a superb occasion for leftists to indulge in an orgy of virtue-signaling, and this year was no different. Foes of Israel sported little round pins featuring a red hand with a black heart in the palm, which even for them was a bizarre and ham-fisted way to show the world that they want Israel to stop fighting and Hamas to live. It recalled nothing more vividly than a notorious Palestinian jihad massacre which, despite having taken place over twenty years ago, is still recalled with horror among Israelis and supporters of Israel.

 

As is the case for all leftists, they're weak on history, weak on facts, weak on solutions that work, and big on shooting off their mouths about things of which they are abundantly ignorant, and an equally vile media supports their stupidly. You have to ask yourself this question: Are they stupid, crazy, or just dangerous?  Answer, yes!

All qualified for membership in the Club For the Galacticly Stupid, starting with  Robert De Niro who runs his mouth with expletives against Trump over and over again, and it's boring.  He's claiming Trump is "stupid", who along with another equally vile nitwit, Jimmy Kimmel, called Trump a  “malignant narcissist” and “socio-psychopath” and denigrated what's being called the MAGA base.   Has there even been a worst host? 

 

The public is being spit on by these nitwits, and the public is responding with their dollars.  But according to Hollywood, that lack of support by the public isn't because their woke movies are lousy, it's because the audience is sexist and bigoted.  

 

Remarkable, so, let's see if I understand this correctly. It appears they think:

• Insulting their customers is the way to go to reverse this anti-woke trend?  
• Insulting the foundational mores and values of society will make this tuned out audience more receptive to values that are antithetical to their own, and are viewed as destructive to society.
  

Did I get that right?  I didn't miss anything did I?

There's just no limit to the amount of "unwokeness" in the world.  It's unlimited, and must be challenged,  including Hollywood, which is an attendant member of the the Church of Wokeness.  It turns out Hollywood is racist!  It seems Lily Gladstone is in a snit because as a "native American" she didn't win the Oscar saying, ‘they’re still racist at the Oscars’.  

 

Well Lily, get over yourself, no one owes you anything!!  Is it any wonder the Oscars is dying!

 

What once was a great show has turned into a stench of mephitic ooze.  A stench of rude, crude, and stupid, and irresponsible behavior!  Is there a day in the offing when the Oscars will be gone?  If so, and that day comes, I say good riddance.  

 

With AI coming on like gang busters, it seems a few negative things are on the horizon for these Hollywood misfits.  There will be a whole lot fewer "celebrities", a lot fewer Hollywood jobs, and most of them are not going to be making obscene amounts of money as they are now.  The best part?  We're going to be spared from hearing a lot of ignorant and stupid opinions from nitwits and misfits, who were parking cars and pumping gas before they became "important" celebrities, whose only gifts are looking good pretending to be people who never existed, memorizing and saying lines others have written, and doing so at the direction of others in order to look as if they actually have a brain in their heads.

 

These celebrities live in a world of "yes", surrounded by myrmidons, yes men, sycophants and flunkies telling them how great they, how smart they are, how wise they are, how important they are, and that's bound to warp a person mind, and especially young and unstable minds.

 

The entertainment business has always been full of strange people, and that goes back centuries.  Take a look at the lives of some of the world's greatest composers.  Many of their lives were short and far from conventional.  Is there a genetic component involved for those who gravitate to entertainment?  Is that genetic component that which lso draws them to strange views and behaviors?    

 

I've often thought the best actors are the most psychologically impaired, and I think that's because they can transform themselves into others effectively.  Is it possible spending their lives trying to be someone else complicates and confuses them psychologically?  Does that make it difficult for them to define reality properly?  Does that make them susceptible to strange alternative "herd culture" views of reality?  

 

I think so.
