The Raid on Mar-A-Lago

The, FBI raids former President Donald Trump’s home, and it was a worldwide shocker and there are going to be political consequences for this, and you have to wonder:  Who made that decision?  

The White House denies any prior knowledge of FBI's Mar-A-Lago Raid.  They want the world to believe Merritt Garland made a decision to raid a former President's home without informing the White House?  Okay, let's see a show of hand of who and how many actually believe that?  The first thing I thought of when I saw this was Obama's evaluation of Joe Biden: "Never underestimate Joe's ability to screw things up". 

And the reason for this raid?  

The FBI agents who raided former President Donald Trump’s Florida resort were looking for certain records, according to a lawyer for Trump who was on the scene while agents were at the resort. “They’re looking for presidential records, what they deemed to be presidential records, and anything that could potentially be classified,” Christina Bobb, the lawyer, told The Epoch Times on Aug. 9.“We had been very cooperative with them before. And it’s unclear to me why they went to such drastic measures to do this. But they did. And as far as the probable cause goes, they wouldn’t give that to us,” she added.

Agents initially resisted showing Bobb the warrant but ultimately did. But the agents would not allow any representatives of the former president to oversee the search, Bobb said. The justification for the search also remains under seal. Trump’s legal team plans on asking the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida to unseal the search warrant affidavit, which would outline why authorities asked for the warrant.

“We don’t know what the probable cause is. I don’t think there is a good cause to do such a drastic thing. But they did,” Bobb said.

 The legality, or at least the ethic of this, has already been questioned:

Especially, since Trump was already cooperating with National Archives, so why the dramatic, unprecedented raid?  The motive was political!  This was a spin for the midterm elections and a souped up lying Democrat narrative supported by criminals, i.e, a Soviet style Department of Justice and a weaponized FBI in search of a crime.  

"Show me the man, and I'll show you the crime." 

They broke into Trump's safe which was empty, which may have been illegal, since it seems no one was told what were the parameters of the warrant's search, and the DOJ is refusing to share that information publicly.   While this raid was unique, this isn't the first search done by the FBI which demonstrates this is nothing more than an illegal fishing expedition:

‘Cocktail Napkin,’ ‘Letters,’ Taken from Trump Residence in Previous Search - Spencer Lindquist 9 Aug 2022 - Various unclassified items were taken from former President Trump’s Mar-a-Lago residence in a previous search. Prior to the FBI raid of Trump’s residence on Monday, the National Archives and Records Administration retrieved various items from Mar-a-Lago. The search, which occurred in January, resulted in several boxes of documents being retrieved from Trump’s home.
 

An anonymous source told the Washington Post that a variety of different items were taken from the Trump residence in Mar-a-Lago, claiming that the list of unclassified items that were taken is roughly 100 pages long. The Washington Post noted that “items that were improperly taken to Mar-a-Lago include a cocktail napkin, a phone list, charts, slide decks, letters, memos, maps, talking points, a birthday dinner menu, schedules and more.”

The real reason? 

Russia Hoaxer Spills the Beans, Reveals What the FBI Raid Is Really All About ........As our friend Mollie Hemingway noted, "the guy who created the Russia collusion hoax in 2016 and orchestrated the widespread, coordinated campaign to change election laws and processes in 2020 admits this is about the regime rigging yet another election."    

They believe if they can in some way get Trump convicted of a trumped up crime, he will be disqualified from running for President in 2024, and they have almost two and a half years to get that done.  It's clear he scares them that much.
 
Then, one has to ask, is this another side bar distraction as the Hunter Biden Probe Deepens?  Both Bidens, the FBI, the DOJ and most likely a lot of people are going to be named in this investigation and they will do anything to stop that. 
 
But there are consequences for such actions.  
 
As one writer asks: 
 
Did Joe Biden Have His Fort Sumter Moment With FBI Raid Against Trump?.......Justice had been unleashed against the top political opponent of the opposing party. Then, we learned that agents were combing the grounds for papers relating to the preservation of documents under the auspices of the National Archives. Are you kidding me? They unleashed an army of federal agents to find those 15 or so boxes that allegedly weren't turned over after the end of the first Trump presidency. That's rich—and pure propaganda. No one believes that. 

The political fallout has been intense:

Mitch McConnell refuses to answer questions on FBI’s Mar-a-Lago Raid, which is surprising and not surprising.  He could tout the fact he prevented Garland from becoming a Supreme Court justice saying....see.... I told you!  But on the other hand it shouldn't surprise us as he and Trump pretty much despise each other, not to mention there are more and disturbing things about McConnell a Trump administration needs to investigate about Ole Mitch. 
 
Then there's America's Brit friend, Farage, who calls this a sign of  a "Banana Republic".  However the left is joyful,  as that lunatic "Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-WA) praised the FBI for raiding former President Donald Trump's Mar-a-Lago resort Monday saying Trump should be in jail' after FBI raid. 

What is the public reaction to all this?

First, it's clear the public firmly believes all these federal bureaucracies are too big, too powerful, out of control, and something needs to be done about them.  How the FBI's raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago was viewed by millions of Americans–and it's not good.  As for conservatives, It's pretty much across the board conservatives denounce the FBI raiding Mar-a-Lago.
 
On 8/8 America Became a Banana Republic Daniel Flynn, The American Spectator - The use of federal law enforcement agents to menace a former president finds no precedent in U.S. history. But regimes in El Salvador, Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua, and Mexico indicted former presidents in just the last two decades. Corruption, of the indicters as much as the indicted, regularly motivates such uses of state power to kneecap political rivals.  Like so much else south of the border, this phenomenon finally arrived in the United States......
What will be the political consequences?  
 
It seems clear the House was going Republican, and in a big way, but if the Senate went Republican, it would be in a small way, especially when Republicans have a solid reputation for snatching defeat out of the jaws of victory, but I think this now clinches a Republican takeover of the Senate. 

 Double Standard

Over the years the FBI never raided the Bidens, Clintons, Russia Hoaxers or Black Lives Matter, all of whom have a history of lies and corruption.  When the Clintons left the White House they took with them  "over $190K worth of furniture, china, flatware, art, and other gifts."  When Sandy Berger got stealing classified intelligence he was fined fifty thousand dollars, and the Clintons acted like it was big joke.  The FBI has ignored the pro-abortion violence "by pro-choice extremists vandalizing and harassing pro-life groups"...........“The FBI isn’t doing anything about the groups vandalizing Catholic Churches, firebombing Pro-Life groups or threatening Supreme Court justices But they find time to raid Mar A Lago.”

Epilogue

There a some things that should be obvious to the most casual observer, and it's plainly obvious the nation is being run by weird, incompetent, treasonous mobsters who hate America.  The left has infested and slowly corrupted all of the nation's institutional structures, including the media, entertainment at every level, commerce, education, the churches and government, and it's been going on for over 125 years, and those who have pointed it out for decades have been dismissed as "conspiracy theorists".  Well, since everything they've been saying is coming true, they've run out of "conspiracies", and we're now dealing with the reality of those warnings.   Truth and time are on the same side, and now we've reached the apex of reality, and that reality is unpleasant. 

It's a Time for Choosing: The Regime or America Ben Weingarten, Newsweek  - It wasn't enough for The Regime to concoct claims of treasonous Russian collusion to spy on his campaign, and then use the subsequent "investigations" to divert and destabilize his administration while covering up its misdeeds.It wasn't enough for The Regime to execute two farcical impeachments and sabotage his every act in open insubordination and contempt—effectively forestalling a peaceful transfer of power, and depriving Americans of a full four years from which we would have all more richly benefited. It wasn't enough for The Regime to do everything in its power to "fortify" the 2020 election against him, just as it wouldn't be enough for The Regime to disqualify him from the 2024 ballot—in defense of "democracy," of course—under the fraudulent pretext of an "insurrection."........

On August 8, 2022  asks:  How Do We Get Rid of the FBI?, saying:  
 
Short of abolishing the bureau, our elected leaders must exercise their power to reimpose constitutional supremacy over this out-of-control agency. President Harry Truman saw the FBI as the seed of a totalitarian cancer it would later become. “We want no Gestapo or Secret Police,” Truman wrote. “F.B.I. is tending in that direction. They are dabbling in sex life scandles [sic] and plain blackmail when they should be catching criminals.” Whether it’s mass unconstitutional spying, interfering in American elections, lying to courts, or entrapping and sometimes framing innocent Americans, the debate over whether we should have an FBI is drawing to a close. Almost every month another informed author calls for the abolition of the FBI. 

He goes on to describe things that could limit their scope of activity....it's not going to happen.  One of My 200 Rules is, "There's nothing like a good firing to get everyone's head on straight."  If you fire the ones who deserve to be fired, and a lot of them, the problem will largely be self regulating.  People are like nations, they will act in their own best interests.  

But as for now, they're out of control, and this has come up at times, Bernard Kerik says he’s ‘deathly afraid’ Dems may try to assassinate Trump after FBI raid.  If this is a potential, and given how many people around the Clintons have died, it could very well be. The FBI is now totally radicalized, and in it's current state, if this were to unfold, would the FBI do anything to stop it?
