Commentary: September 11 – Lest We Forget

 As we approach the 19th anniversary of September 11, 2001 we should never forget the loss of 2,977 innocent American lives. Many were simply at their desks and had no idea that September 11 would be their last day on earth, while others such as brave first responders and the “Let’s Roll” passengers and crew of flight 93 who willingly sacrificed their lives so others might live.

September 11, 2001 brought us together as a nation against the common foe of terrorism, but unfortunately today as we approach this November’s election our nation is torn asunder by unchecked violence in our cities petty bickering, and hyper partisanship, none of which contributes to moving our great nation forward.

It is hard to believe that many who will be voting this November are not aware of the sacrifices made on 9/11. Many gave their lives for the cause of liberty – not for socialism which is the latest cause célèbre for many of our younger generation. Yes, those who died on 9/11 did so that we, today, would have the freedom to speak and, yes, also to protest without resorting to anarchy and violence.......To Read More....
