OMG: James O’Keefe Launches ‘O’Keefe Media Group’

James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, has founded a new venture called “O’Keefe Media Group,” or OMG.  O’Keefe, who was ousted by the Project Veritas board last month, announced his new project on Twitter:.............Later, O’Keefe founded Project Veritas, which went on to continue his undercover investigative journalism. The project broke many stories, including one that revealed Democrats’ role in instigating violence at Trump rallies.  He faced constant challenges, however, including a federal raid in 2021, purportedly linked to questions about a diary belonging to President Biden’s daughter, Ashley. The raid was (belatedly) condemned by the ACLU.

Later, private memoranda from Project Veritas lawyers ended up in the hands of the New York Times, whom O’Keefe had sued for defamation. A federal judge ultimately ordered the FBI to stop extracting data from O’Keefe’s smartphone, and appointed a special master to review the evidence before the FBI could use it..................To Read More....

My Take - Project Veritas was taken over by those who were clearly in opposition to what Project Veritas was doing, and in particular with what it's founder was doing.  This corporation and it's board of directors was set up without safeguards, and I'm betting this new corporation will not have that same weakness.

I have a question.  Is that Project Veritas I see swirling down the toilet?

EXCLUSIVE: Project Veritas Staffers tell Board: Quit or We Walk!

Yesterday, James O’Keefe was fired by the board of the media organization he founded 13 years ago. He gave a 45 minute going away speech yesterday to staff.  Today, the reporters who are loyal to O’Keefe have told the board that unless they resign today, they are all quitting as a bloc. This matches the loss of nearly 100,000 followers of PV on Twitter in one day. According to one PV insider about the current Project Veritas board member Matt Tyrmand: “Tyrmand is in full panic mode. We’re all about to walk out after an emergency board meeting tomorrow unless they all resign. All the real journalists here are out and they won’t have anyone left to do the real work that made this place great.”

Project Veritas has repeatedly released amazing undercover journalism exclusives, including major reporting on sacred left-wing institutions such as ACORN, National Public Radio, Hillary Clinton, Teacher Unions, Planned Parenthood, Jeffrey Epstein, 2020 Voter Fraud, and more. O’Keefe’s leadership of Project Veritas has resulted in a great deal of news being reported that otherwise would never have come out...............To Read More....

FBI Whistleblower: The Direction of the Bureau ‘Troubles a Vast Majority of the Agents’

By May 11, 2022

A whistleblower from the Federal Bureau of Investigation told Project Veritas founder and President James O’Keefe in a recorded interview posted late Wednesday that the FBI’s “direction” in recent months “troubles a vast majority of the agents.” The source—a current FBI counterintelligence, counterterrorism and criminal agent—came forward with new information about the FBI’s investigation into Project Veritas over Ashley Biden’s lost diary.

Armed FBI agents raided and ransacked two Project Veritas journalists’ homes on November 4, on the orders of federal prosecutors from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Southern District of New York, and raided O’Keefe’s apartment in Mamaroneck, N.Y., a couple of days later in connection with the allegedly stolen diary.

The whistleblower provided O’Keefe with internal FBI documents concerning his case, and told him Project Veritas “appears to be a victim of political undertakings.”  The whistleblower said  the documents were given to him by a sympathetic colleague who also believed there was a “political vendetta” against O’Keefe’s organization..........To Read More....

BREAKING: Judge Orders FBI to Stop Search of Project Veritas Founder O'Keefe's Phone Following Raid

BY  Victoria Taft Nov 11, 2021

The FBI has been ordered by a federal judge to stop plundering information from James O’Keefe’s phone following a raid on his home and other properties connected with Project Veritas last weekend.  The raid was a chilling and frightening overreach by law enforcement of protected journalistic work product. O’Keefe has said that his phone offers a window into what other projects he and his staff are working on — projects the Biden Administration may not want him to cover.

The FBI raided O’Keefe’s apartment about 6 a.m. on Saturday with a phalanx of agents taking his electronics and other information, which they claimed would help discover how the journalist came into possession of President Biden’s daughter’s diary.  They claim the diary was stolen. O’Keefe denies that characterization...........To Read More....

Turley: Why is the FBI investigating the theft of a diary?

Ed Morrissey Nov 08, 2021 9:25 AM ET

Good question. It goes right along with the good question of why the Department of Justice wanted to probe parental behavior at local school board meetings, which at worst should have only interested local law enforcement. Even if said diary belonged to the adult daughter of a presidential candidate, Jonathan Turley wrote yesterday, what federal statute gives the FBI jurisdiction to raid Project Veritas and James O’Keefe’s home over it?.........To Read More....

Raid on Project Veritas journalists once again shows the different standards in the application of law

Yesterday, reports appeared in the The New York Times and elsewhere that the FBI searched the home of James O’Keefe, the founder of Project Veritas, on Saturday as part of its investigation into the possible theft of a diary belonging to Ashley Biden, President Biden’s daughter.

Mr. O’Keefe released a statement acknowledging that the raid had indeed occurred and that the FBI had taken materials of current and former Project Veritas journalists despite the fact that Project Veritas’s legal team previously contacted the Department of Justice and had voluntarily conveyed unassailable facts that demonstrated Project Veritas’ lack of involvement in criminal activity and/or criminal intent.

O’Keefe also states that the Department of Justice had requested Project Veritas to not disclose anything related to the raid or the associated subpoenas. However, what astounded them is that within an hour of one of the raids, The New York Times contacted the Project Veritas for comments. O’Keefe was understandably perplexed as to how The New York Times became aware of the existence and execution of a search warrant...........To Read More....

My Take - The FBI asked O'Keefe to keep all this quiet as it would impede the investigation.  Really?  Then how did the NYT knew about it?  Like when they arrested Stone in the early morning and CNN just happened to be there.  The indictment only came down the night before, yet some how CNN knew he was going to be arrested the following morning to film the perp walk.

In days gone by if the FBI asked someone for their cooperation most were more than willing to give it, but things have changed at the FBI, at least in Washington, I'm not so sure about the agents outside of Washington where the real work of combating crime is being done.  But we know Washington is a viper's pit of corruption, including the FBI.

We now know even someone as patriotic and prominent as General Flynn will be used and abused by the FBI if it fits their their political agenda.....with Obama........, Here and Here.  Why would we believe anyone is safe from them?

Project Veritas Now Has the New York Times On the Ropes After Court Delivers Huge Win

By Brandon Morse | Aug 12, 2021

When the New York Times stepped into the ring with Project Veritas, it thought it would be a pretty easy victory, but the group known for undercover videos and on the scene fact-finding is a lot scrappier than the “paper of record” anticipated. Now, after a recent court decision, the Times is on the backfoot.

According to the Project Veritas website, Justice Charles D. Wood of the Supreme Court of New York in Westchester County handed down a ruling on Wednesday that the New York Times’ motion to dismiss the defamation lawsuit against them by Project Veritas is denied.

It all started when the undercover work done by Project Veritas in uncovering the Minnesota ballot harvesting was labeled as “deceptive.”

(READ: Project Veritas Blows Illegal Ballot Harvesting Scheme Connected to Ilhan Omar Wide Open)

When Project Veritas brought the lawsuit against the New York Times, the Times attempted to defend itself by claiming the writer of the piece in question, Maggie Astor, was simply stating an “unverifiable expression of opinion.” Just one problem. That claim of the videos being “deceptive” was printed in the news section of the NYT, meaning they were trying to pass off the claim that Project Veritas was attempting to fool its viewers as fact.

The court agreed with Project Veritas:........To Read More....

Project Veritas Is Sticking It To the Times

April 29, 2021 — John Hinderaker

This video by Project Veritas’s James O’Keefe is entertaining. O’Keefe is not a lawyer, but what he says about the progress of Veritas’s defamation lawsuit against the New York Times is basically accurate. The case arises out of Veritas’s exposure of voter fraud in Minnesota, which the Times labeled, falsely, as “deceptive” and “probably part of a coordinated disinformation campaign.” Project Veritas alleges that these and other statements by the Times were false. The Times moved to dismiss Veritas’s complaint. That motion was denied by a judge who seems sympathetic to Veritas’s point of view, and the Times has now been required to answer the allegations of the complaint.

The newspaper’s principal defense is that the allegedly defamatory statements were expressions of opinion, like, say, “Blue is my favorite color,” and therefore immune from defamation liability. The funniest thing about this, as O’Keefe points out in the video, is that the Times’s denunciation of Veritas’s expose led to “fact checks” decreeing Veritas’s statements “false” by liberal sources like USA Today.

So when the Times says you are “deceptive” and “probably part of a coordinated disinformation campaign,” which is it? Fact or opinion? On the bright side, it is nice to see the Times not only admitting, but affirmatively alleging, that its “news” pages consists largely of statements of its reporters’ left-wing opinions.

Here is the video:...........To Read More...

Project Veritas vs. New York Times

Last September, Project Veritas released a video that suggested there has been substantial voter fraud in Minnesota elections, particularly in the Somali community, and linked that fraud to Ilhan Omar’s machine. The New York Times then published a series of articles that smeared Veritas and its video as a “coordinated disinformation campaign,” alleging that the video was “deceptive” and “false.” Project Veritas sued the Times in state court in New York, and the Times moved to dismiss the lawsuit for failure to state a claim.

On Thursday, the presiding judge denied the Times’s motion to dismiss in an opinion you can read here. Denial of the motion to dismiss does not mean that Veritas will ultimately win the case, obviously, but it means that Veritas will be able to proceed with discovery and try to prove that the newspaper’s reporters and editors acted with “actual malice.” That means they knew their stories were false, or realized they were likely false, and printed them anyway.

The court’s opinion is notable in part for what it tells us about the Times’s defenses. The Times now argues that when it said the Veritas video was “deceptive,” “false,” and part of a “coordinated disinformation campaign,” those were mere statements of opinion, not fact, even though they appeared in news reports. Judge Wood comments:

Defendants argue that their statements describing Veritas’ Video as “deceptive,” “false,” and “without evidence” were mere opinion incapable of being judged true or false. However, if a writer interjects an opinion in a news article (and will seek to claim legal protections as opinion) it stands to reason that the writer should have an obligation to alert the reader, including a court that may need to determine whether it is fact or opinion, that it is opinion.
***
Stating that the video is “deceptive” and stating “without verifiable evidence” in a factual way in a news article certainly presents the statement as fact, not opinion.

I also find it ironic that the Times, whose news section consists largely of narratives based on leaks by anonymous sources, now criticizes Project Veritas because its video allegedly relies on “unidentified sources.”.........To Read More....

Project Veritas begins its Antifa exposé

June 5, 2020 By Andrea Widburg

Project Veritas ought to be called Project Fortitudo so as to recognize the mind-boggling bravery of an undercover operative who infiltrated the Rose City Antifa organization in Portland, Oregon, one of the oldest active Antifa groups in America. The anarcho-leftist Antifa specializes in violent street fighting, putting at extreme risk anyone who goes into the group with a hidden camera.

That’s the risk a Project Veritas investigator took, beginning sometime in the past, but at least eleven months ago. (To protect the investigator’s identity, the year in which he began his undercover operation is bleeped out.)

Although Antifa has leaped to prominence in the past few days, as it’s joined forces with Black Lives Matter to wreak havoc in American cities, conservatives have been aware of it for some time. For most of us, Antifa became a concern beginning with the Berkeley rioting when the Berkeley Republicans invited conservative speakers, such as Milo Yiannopoulos or Ben Shapiro, to the UC campus. Even the Washington Post noticed that Antifa had a problem.

Antifa members showed up and engaged in extreme violence, including setting fire to the campus. As a hint that Antifa is the paramilitary arm of the Berkeley Democrat party, the mayor told the police to stand down as Antifa and other leftist organizations beat conservatives with poles, pepper spray, and fists. Rose City Antifa gets the same sweet treatment from Portland's mayor.

No wonder, then, that some of the most extreme Antifa violence in America has taken place in Portland. Andy Ngo, who has taken it upon himself to document what Antifa is doing, was so badly assaulted at a Portland riot that he suffered a brain bleed, something that can lead to death or permanent mental disability:.............To Read More....

Trump campaign threatens to sue CNN

Cites revelations of former employee released by Project Veritas

By WND Staff  October 18, 2019

President Trump's 2020 re-election campaign is vowing to sue CNN in response to the revelations this week published by Project Veritas that the network's negative coverage of the president is motivated by CEO Jeff Zucker's "personal vendetta" as well as the strong political bias of employees.
Trump attorney Charles J. Harder wrote in a letter to CNN, Zucker, and Executive Vice President David Vigilante that the network's years of anti-Trump coverage break its promise of "excellence in journalism," the Washington Examiner reported...........To Read More....

Project Veritas announces major undercover exposé of CNN next week

Project Veritas, the activist conservative group credited with taking down ACORN and dealing significant blows to other leftist groups, thanks to its undercover videos, is promising to release its next exposé and it looks like it will be a blockbuster.  At the end of his speech to the Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit in Washington, D.C.on Oct. 12, James O’Keefe, Project Veritas’s founder, announced what “may be the biggest story Project Veritas has ever broke.” An insider at CNN has come forward, O’Keefe said, having covertly recorded videos for months that promise to reveal what CNN has really been doing to – essentially – spin and fake the news. The revelations are scheduled to see the light of day next week.

In an article at Project Veritas’s Web site posted the same day, O’Keefe goes into more detail:
This week, a CNN insider will blow the whistle and through Project Veritas will release dozens of recordings made of officials at the highest levels of CNN, revealing a political agenda, bias and misconduct hidden from public view...........
After reviewing several recent whistleblowers’s actions that shed disturbing light on the questionable actions of social media giants like Google and Pinterest, O’Keefe added this:........To Read More...
