Netherlands rocked by worst civil unrest in years as anti-lockdow

More than 180 people were arrested Monday during the third night of violence in the Netherlands, where rioters appear to have hijacked an anti-lockdown protest to cause destruction across the country.

The civil unrest began over the weekend in response to the Dutch government’s strict measures to slow the spread of COVID-19, which includes a newly imposed curfew between 9 p.m. and 4:30 a.m. But the seemingly peaceful demonstrations turned into chaos as groups of mostly teenagers began organizing on social media to attack public and private properties in different parts of the country.

Images shared on social media showed rioters looting stores, smashing windows, clashing with police, setting vehicles on fire and vandalizing buildings.

“These people are shameless thieves, I cannot say otherwise,” said Rotterdam Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, whose city had some of the worst riots Monday, according to The Guardian. ...........To Read More....

 

What Is The Violence In American Cities All About?

It is hard to tell what the current revolutionary violence in our major cities is all about. So far, hundreds of police have been injured, dozens of people have been killed and we have seen billions of dollars in property and collateral damage.  Ostensibly, many of the summer demonstrations were in protest over the gruesome detention and death of George Floyd while in Minneapolis police custody on May 25.  Yet three months later, few of those trying to burn down a Portland police precinct — with police barricaded inside — or looting the high-end boutiques of Chicago’s Magnificent Mile, or indiscriminately beating up innocent pedestrians, appear to be driven by Floyd’s death.............No matter — cultural revolutions are incoherent and nihilist........The point of the mob is to wipe out what it cannot create.  It topples what it can neither match nor even comprehend...........To Read More....

Cornered murder suspect kills himself; mob accuses police of killing him and sets off looting downtown Minneapolis

Last night offered a warp speed example of mob violence triggered by utterly bogus charges of police misbehavior resulting in the sack of the premier shopping district of a major American city. The disgraceful incident happened in Minneapolis, where I grew up, and there is a personal connection to one of the targets of the phony outrage that I will explain below.

The incident began just after 6 PM, when a murder suspect killed himself rather than be apprehended by police. The incident was captured on surveillance cameras which the police quickly shared with local news outlets. Judge blocks Seattle law banning police use of pepper spray

A federal judge late Friday blocked Seattle's new law prohibiting police from using pepper spray, blast balls and similar weapons that was passed following confrontations with protesters. The Seattle Times reports that U.S. District Judge James Robart at an emergency hearing granted a request from the federal government to block the new law, which the Seattle City Council passed unanimously last month......... My Take -As one of my correspondents wrote:

Utterly idiotic Seattle City Council voted unanimously to deprive city police of non-lethal force - thus leaving them with the only option of risking their own life and limb to a vastly greater extent, or using lethal force. At which point city police told businesses in Seattle they were on their own when it came to dealing with rioters.  Seattle has voted in people who are grossly incompetent and downright idiotic.  Apparently they've all undergone brainectomies.

As Far as I'm concerned, Seattle is getting exactly what it deserves, because they got this disaster the old fashioned way.  They earned it!

Kudo's to Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best who has warned that city council's ordinance on non-lethal force gave her 'no ability' to protect society.   "This week, Chief Best issued warnings that the department would be unable to provide the same level of protection under the ordinance, saying “it would be reckless to have them [officers] confront this level of violence under the current legal restrictions imposed by Council.” In short, she's not sending her cops in to be a the mercy of madmen.  Now let's see City Council protect society.

Let's try and get this once and for all.  In a war between the barbarians and the wimps, the barbarians win every time.  Why is that so hard to understand?  This is a picture of Seattle's City Council  Now do you understand?  Have you ever seen a more clueless group of snowflakes in your life.

 We are being systemically deceived by many of our governors, mayors and Democrat leaders from inside the country and many organizations such as the Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) and the World Economic Forum (WEF) as outside forces are funding, staging and creating the platform for our demise.

All that bar-hopping and spring-breaking: Press ignores protests as source of new wave of COVID-19

With a new wave, or peak, of Chinese coronavirus cases shutting much of the country down again, and news getting out about how it's younger people being infected, the press is blaming bar-hopping and spring break travel. And in the case of the Washington Post, President Trump's rally in Arizona, too. Here's one account from the Washington Post:

Health officials are imploring young people to wear masks and practice social distancing as coronavirus transmission among younger Americans continues to drive record outbreaks in several states.

The pleas come as governors in Texas and Florida instituted new limits on bars and alcohol consumption to stop the spread of the novel coronavirus, citing the skyrocketing number of young people who are contracting it.

Anything to ignore the elephant in the room: raw, undistanced, unprotected, mass protests over the police-brutality death of George Floyd. The Washington Post actually excuses the protests.

Curiously, the new wave of cases among young people now coincides with the waves of unprotected protests and lootings - five-, ten-day incubation periods, meaning the cases were contracted right about when the protests and lootings were going on. Hikers, joggers, bikers know better than to traverse famous trail

Black-mob violence and black-on-white crime has not destroyed the entire American Tobacco Trail, only the small chunk that goes through Durham, N.C.  The “high crime” part. The gang-infested part. The poor part. The urban part. The sketchy part.

The part that local media calls every name imaginable except one: The black part.

Otherwise, most of the 22.5 miles of this trail is a safe, sometimes bucolic experience for runners, bikers, strollers and even equestrians. As long as they stay away from the trail near Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway.  Since 2011, dozens of people have been beaten, robbed, pushed off bikes and threatened in that part of the trail. All of the suspects in this violence and mayhem are black.

Though most of the time the local media is loathe to say so. In the most recent assault, WRAL-TV described one of the assailants as having a “dark complexion.”........Read more at
