Well, Some Days Really Are Good Days

By Rich Kozlovich

Well, after the debacle this week where 20 Republicans refused to condemn Adam Schiff for his lies and corruption the worm has turned.  It also appears to me those 20 Republicans who refused to support his censure must have gotten an earful from their constituents.

While there was an issue with the first resolution regarding the legality of a multi-million dollar fine, for the most part, I have to believe they all knew about this, and all could have communicated with Rep. Luna this was an issue for them ahead of time.

I don't think that was the issue for most of those 20.  What I think is most of them have a problem with invertebracy, and apparently there are still six with that have a serious lack of spine, including my representative, Dave Joyce.   Why does it seem some of the toughest and smartest Republicans in the House are women?  Maybe because they are?

At any rate, the world just got a little more honest, as Spencer Brown reports yesterday, Adam Schiff Formally Censured by House for 'Conduct Unbecoming'.  While the Democrats disrupted and raged against his censure, Spenser lists all the charges against Schiff, and each and every one of them is absolutely factual, and I look forward to the outcome of the House ethics investigation into his actions.  Who knows, they might actually be able to kick him out of Congress.

In the meanwhile, some days are just better than others, and Wednesday June, 21, 2023 was one of them.

Schadenfreude!

In the meanwhile we find that same Republican lack of spine regarding Rep. Boebert's efforts to impeach Joe Biden.  Here's another gutsy Republican woman in the House, who scorched Job Biden in an impeachment speech, for what has been his clear misuse of power, dereliction of duty, and outright bribery, absolutely all Constitutional High Crimes.

So, how do the Republicans respond, including Speaker McCarthy? They criticized her for "forcing" a vote for impeachment as it "is premature and disrupts the party’s ongoing efforts to investigate the Biden family’s business dealings", all of which seems to me to be fallacious reasonings.  So, when will such an action be mature?   What is their time line for impeachment?  Especially since it's been obvious he's been guilty..... abundantly guilty ...... of High Crimes and Misdemeanors from day one!

How about after the 2024 election?  I'll stick with my invertebracy view.

Update: 9:35 AM

Exclusive: Marjorie Taylor Greene to Force Impeachment Vote ‘We Have Bank Records… Everyone Knows that Joe Biden Is a Criminal!’ Names 2 GOP Members of Judiciary Dragging Feet on Inquiry - Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) in the coming days will introduce articles of impeachment against President Joe Biden under a privileged resolution.  By superseding House Republican leadership’s ability to control what comes to the House floor, Greene will launch articles of impeachment against Joe Biden, bypassing the usual process for bringing legislation to a full House vote.........“I don’t know what it’s going to take to get them to realize what fools Republicans look like in Congress for not moving forward on impeachment,”..........“Joe Biden is a criminal,” she said. “And as vice president of the United States, he committed crimes. He committed crimes, high crimes, and misdemeanors.”............

There's a reason Republicans are called "The Stupid Party".  They earned it.

Update: 4:10 PM.  Apparently Greene's lashing out at the House Republicans had a spine generating effect, but what will happen when this goes to Judiciary and Homeland Security committees. That may be where the leadership stops this.

Resolution to Impeach Joe Biden Passes House Floor, Advances to Judiciary and Homeland Security Committee - The House of Representatives has passed a floor resolution to impeach Democratic President Joe Biden......The articles refer to Biden’s “dereliction of duty” and “abuse of power” by failing to abide by his Constitutional oath of office to defend the borders of the sovereign United States of America against a massive foreign influx of illegal aliens.  Boebert earlier stated that the House leadership was not supportive of her efforts to impeach the president. However, a game-changer appears to have dropped on Thursday.   New evidence has surfaced showing that Hunter Biden sought to fulfill a deal with a Chinese national in 2017 where he said he was “sitting here with my father” demanding a payment and implying there would be serious consequences for failure to deliver.............

You Can Always Count on Squishy Republicans to Let Bad Democrats Get Away Matt Vespa

Matt Vespa June 15, 2023

They are the best worst option, but yesterday again had me questioning why we even bother to vote for these people. Republicans talk a big game but always fail to follow through. That’s understandable; it’s politics. But with the GOP, it’s not just coming up short by a yard or two. It’s a distance that could cover multiple football fields. Case in point, whatever happened to the promise to repeal Obamacare? The GOP campaigned on that for almost 10 years, accrued mountains of campaign cash, and did nothing. Democrats have learned to use institutional power to their benefit and, even worse, prey upon the GOP’s sense of tradition, honor, and duty to con them into voting against their interests...........Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA), the former chair of the House Intelligence Committee before Speaker McCarthy purged him, survived a motion that would have censured and fined him for peddling Russian collusion nonsense...............

And 20 House Republicans opted to protect this man, the damage he did to the credibility of the House Intelligence Committee, and the anti-Trump hysterics he spewed to gin up a shoddy impeachment trial. So, in a way, these 20 squishy GOP losers endorsed the biased and corrupt impeachment efforts against Donald Trump and the collusion peddling because that’s all Schiff did. He’s a bad Democrat, saved by spineless House Republicans. Color me shocked that the GOP doesn’t get the Reagan-Tip O’Neill era is over. We’re all out to kill each other. Get with the program, fellas......To Read More....

Twenty Republicans Save Adam Schiff from Censure - Rajan Laad -  Fox News reports that twenty Republicans in the House of Representatives sided with most Democrats in voting against a resolution that would have censured Rep. Adam Schiff, (D-Calif.), for repeatedly peddling the hoax that former President Donald Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.

The reprehensible Schiff was one of the foremost proponents of the Trump-Russia collusion hoax. He repeated the falsehood in every forum possible. With every appearance, the lies became more ridiculous. He even claimed that Trump was an asset to the Kremlin. This wasn't a mistake on Schiff's part.  Schiff knew these were fabrications but he said it anyway. His actions were purposeful and malicious. The Democrats had assigned him the task of running their biggest disinformation campaign and he did it without caring about the effects it would have on the nation..........

Palace Intrigue: Impeachment and Media Games - With Representative Adam Schiff (D-CA) facing a censure vote in the House yesterday, June 14, and Homeland Security chief Alejandro Mayorkas about to undergo an investigation and possible impeachment beginning today, it seems the American public is enraptured with political scandal. More entertaining than a TV soap opera, and with all the prizes and punishments that put reality TV to shame, the plots and schemes of government provide a heady environment for drama................ Rep. Anna Paulina Luna (R-FL) introduced measures to both censure and fine Schiff for “lies, misrepresentations and abuses of sensitive information” during the FBI probe of Russian collusion during the 2016 election............. A groundswell for impeaching appointed officials is also coming to a boil.

Utah County Censures Mitt Romney for Trump Impeachment Vote

Jacob Bliss

Weber County GOP censured Sen. Mitt Romney (R-UT) Saturday during its convention for the senator’s vote to impeach former President Donald Trump earlier this year.  The resolution to censure Romney was passed 116-97 by the members from the Weber County GOP, according to County Party Secretary Jill Koford.  “The Weber County Republican Convention censures Mitt Romney for his votes to convict President Trump in two U.S. Senate impeachment trials,” the resolution read.

The resolution added that the impeachment had “denied the President due process, allowed falsified evidence, did not provide adequate time for an investigation.”  The impeachment “did not follow the U.S. Constitution which states a President may only be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors,” the group stated.  Weber County also added to the resolution in order to thank Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) for protecting the “due process and the US Constitution by voting against the unconstitutional charges.”........To Read More.....

Mad Maxine: The True Face and Leader of the Democrat Party

https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDdJXy3OAHLJn_MpiNbbpiEfmKMk5o52EaM_ErYTz_AQiD3zo-sQWOUuwWSVBiV4IJ3FlQV6T-I03A9NYvk-Cw_z_XUAGBaqiTjOITYXOGIJAACqAjGX9XDktXKqx-gc3w6FR9l1Ki6Us/w49-h64/My+Picture+2.jpg By Rich Kozlovich

There's a lot of talk about Maxine's insane behavior, but as insane as it is, one thing Maxine is doing better than anyone else in the world:  Putting the real face of the Democrat party out front and in the open for the world to see.  Maxine is the real face of the Democrat party.

Maxine Waters has never been the brightest pebble in the brook, and yet she's been allowed to run out of control in the House at every committee she's been a part of without rebuke from her party.  She’s a foul, bitter woman who is incapable of shutting her mouth when the opportunity comes to stir up unrest whenever and wherever she can, and she and her party's lust for violence appears to be insatiable.

She has a history of what can only be construed as corrupt, (see my file), and she's clearly the President of the Club for the Galacticly Stupid.  Now she's exposing her hypocrisy, her party's hypocrisy, lack of discipline, disrespect, irrational thinking and behavior, violence, corruption and treason, and even the hypocrisy of the RINO's in Congress.

https://media.townhall.com/Townhall/Car/b/mrz042021dAPR20210420074508.jpg

Here's the latest on her outrageous behavior promoting violence against anyone she opposes for her own political gain.

  • Maxine Waters Shows up in Brooklyn Center, Tells Protesters to Get ‘More Confrontational’ , by Anthony Gockowski -U.S. Rep. Maxine Waters made a brief appearance Saturday night outside a police station in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where crowds have gathered for seven consecutive nights to protest the shooting of Daunte Wright. Wright was killed last Sunday by former Brooklyn Center police officer Kim Potter, who has since been charged with manslaughter. Meanwhile, the murder trial of former Minneapolis officer Derek Chauvin in the death of George Floyd is scheduled to hold closing arguments Monday. If Chauvin isn’t convicted, then “we know we’ve got to not only stay in the street, but we’ve got to fight for justice,” Waters said. “We’ve got to get more active. We’ve got to get more confrontational. We’ve got to make sure that they know that we mean business,” she added.
  • Maximum Maxine [Updated] ,April 18, 2021 — John Hinderaker - Maxine Waters, one of the House’s most senior and looniest members, is in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, firing up the rioters there. In this clip, she urges them to be more confrontational and to stay in the streets. She also demands a guilty verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial. Not guilty of manslaughter–“oh no no, not manslaughter!”–but
  • Maxine Waters Calls For Riots to Continue: We Must Stay in the Streets - Katie Pavlich, Apr 18, 2021 -Democrat Congresswoman Maxine Waters is calling on violent rioters to continue their efforts as the country braces for a verdict in the Derek Chauvin trial. "I know this, we've got to stay in the streets," Waters said to a group of activists. "We are looking for a guilty verdict." "If nothing does not happen then we have to not only stay in the streets but we have to fight for justice," she continued. "I am very hopeful and I hope that we are going to get a verdict that is guilty, guilty, guilty and if we don't, we cannot go away."
  • As Maxine Waters Calls for Riots in the Streets to Continue, Minnesota National Guardsmen Shot At -Rebecca Downs  Apr 18, 2021- As Katie reported earlier today, Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA), a sitting member of Congress, took to the streets in Brooklyn Center, Minnesota, where she called on riots to continue. She did so in the dead of the night, knowingly breaking curfew and encouraging others to do the same. As Hannah Nightingale with the Post Millennial reported, sure enough, something came of that. A news release from the Minnesota National Guard alerted that the Minnesota National Guardsmen security team were fired upon at about 4:19am, local time. Fortunately, the injuries two guardsmen sustained were minor.

Is there any doubt she's promoting violence?  Well, not in the minds of anyone sane, but then again, who said the Democrat party was sane? Pelosi, who found virtually anything Trump said was promoting violence, says Maxine "should not apologize because she didn't incite violence!".  And the White House won't directly condemn incitement from Maxine Waters, saying:

"Well I can speak to the President's view. He has been very clear that he recognizes the issue of police violence against people of color, communities of color as one of great anguish. It is exhausting and quite emotional at times. As you know he met with the Floyd family last year and has been closely following the trial as we've been talking about and is committed to undoing this long standing, systemic problem," Psaki said. "His view is also that exercising First Amendment rights and protesting injustice the most American thing that anyone can do, but he also always says, protests must be peaceful. That is what he continues to call for and what he believes is the right way to approach responding."

Tell me, is this hypocrisy, invertebracy or both? No, it's the Democrat party being the Democrat party.

But this isn't the first and only time Maxine has spouted this kind of violent rhetoric.  All during the Trump presidency she actually promoted this kind of confrontation and violence against anyone who was part of the administration, even telling people attack them at restaurants, or anywhere they shopped or appeared in their private lives.  She's said in the past,  L.A. riots were acceptable, defended looting because according to her

"The fact of the matter is, whether we like it or not, riot is the voice of the unheard.”

Maxine takes no prisoners nor does she back away from her rhetoric.  She claims:

“I am nonviolent. Republicans will jump on any word, any line and try to make it fit their message and their cause for denouncing us and denying us, basically calling us violent,”  “I  am not intimidated. I am not afraid, and I do what needs to be done.”

What she thinks needs doing is conducting a war on cops,  law and order, the rule of law, and civilized behavior.  As Bill Donohue noted in his piece, Maxine Waters Leads the War on Cops:

Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA) has thrown gas on the fire. Her goal is to racially divide America, targeting the police as enemy number one.  Waters, whose district is in California, traveled to Minneapolis on Saturday to insist that Derek Chauvin must be found guilty of murdering George Floyd (the former police officer is not being charged with first-degree murder).

Has her rhetoric had an impact?  Of course!  Thugs,in attempt to intimidate witnesses, actually smeared pig's blood on a home once lived in by a defense witness.   True the witness no longer lives there, but the message is clear.  We know where you live and you will pay if you testify against us. Some compare this to KKK intimidation, but I see it as the same kind of thing the Mafia does.

Has there been kick back? Yes, even the Catholic League has stepped up and decried Maxine Waters’ ‘War on Cops', saying:

Waters and others like her need to be exposed for what they are, he said, “race baiters and cop bashers.” Over the weekend, Waters flew to Minneapolis for the trial of police officer Derek Chauvin, insisting that he must be found guilty of murdering George Floyd.  (Note: Talk about hypocrisy, she flew there with a police escort she requested, most likely at the public's expense, before the California Democrat went to Minnesota to demand a guilty verdict or impose violence. RK )

Minneapolis Judge Blasts Maxine Waters’ ‘Abhorrent’ Comments, Says Defense Now Has Ammo to Have ‘Whole Trial Overturned’.  Even Alan Dershowitz weighed in on this saying:

"she is trying to “influence” and “intimidate” the jury.....taking a page out of the Ku Klux Klan’s playbook to influence court cases by threatening violence...........“Her message was clearly intended to get to the jury — ‘If you will acquit or if you find the charge less than murder, we will burn down your buildings. We will burn down your businesses. We will attack you. We will do what happened to the witness — blood on their door.’........."

And since we now know he's been found guilty, which most of us believed was inevitable irrespective of the overwhelming evidence he didn't kill George Floyd, "the issue will go to the Court of Appeals."

So, now the question is what will the Congress do about this?  In my opinion.....Nothing?

Maxine is not only the face of the Democrat party in Congress, she's their de-facto leader.  The Squad, the Congressional Black Caucus, and the bulk of the party will stand by her like an iron ring, and in spite of all the wishful thinking that some Democrats will vote for censure, know this:  Woe be to any Democrat who dares to stand against her, and they all know it, and so does Nancy Pelosi, who was slapped down by AOC and the rest of the radicals two years ago.

There's a reason for that.  The same reason why you never hear about X-Democrats.  No one wants that X on their back.  If they vote for censure, they will be attacked personally by the media, their constituents, their fellow party members and will in fact become pariahs, and possibly even physically attacked.  Invertebracy and politics go hand in hand.

As for Liz Chaney, who never saw a Trump statement that didn't promote violence, her thoughts on this are.........apparently non-existent.  I can't find one word of condemnation from her.

This is never coming to a vote in the House, but if it did how much do you wanna bet she votes against her party, and Kevin McCarthy applauds her dedication to conviction?

Maine Grassroots Republicans Break from State GOP After Rejection of Susan Collins Censure

Dr. Susan Berry

A group of about 25 conservative Maine Republicans, including six county chairmen and state committee members, have broken from the state Republican Party to form a new grassroots caucus.  An announcement about the newly formed caucus came just one day after the state Republican Party voted to reject censuring Sen. Susan Collins (R-ME) for her vote to impeach former President Donald Trump.

“The Maine Republican Party is not listening to the voices of disenfranchised Republicans that are trying to hold their elected officials accountable,” said Caucus Chair John DeVeau Sunday.  DeVeau dismissed concerns the grassroots caucus, described in a press release as a “kind of Maine-based version of the U.S. House Freedom Caucus,” might splinter the GOP in Maine.

“We didn’t create all these grassroots organizations that are furious with the state over the emergency lockdown restrictions still in place over a year since the COVID-19 health crisis began,” the former Caribou lawmaker, and current Aroostook County Republican Chair, said in a statement........To Read More.....

The Nelson County Republican Party wrote Senator Mitch McConnell on Tuesday demanding he immediately resign from his leadership position with the Republican Party’s caucus in the United States Senate.  This comes after McConnell’s comments on Saturday and an editorial in the Wall Street Journal attacking and smearing President Donald Trump.  Trump won Nelson County in Kentucky 67.5% to 30.9% in the 2020 election...........To Read More.....

Utah GOP Weighing Censure Against Romney Over Impeachment Vote

Haris Alic 15 Feb 2021

Utah Republicans are reportedly weighing whether or not to censure the state’s junior senator, Mitt Romney, over his vote to convict President Donald Trump during last week’s impeachment trial.

The Salt Lake City Tribune first broke the news on Monday that a resolution had begun circulating among members of the state GOP accusing Romney of having failed to “represent the average conservative Utah Republican voter.” The resolution, whose authors remain unknown, further claims that Romney “embarrassed” Utah by being the only Republican to vote in favor of convicting Trump twice.

“Senator Willard Mitt Romney used and uses his senatorial power and influence to undermine [former] Republican President Donald J. Trump,” the resolution reads, adding that Romney “appears to be an agent for the Establishment Deep State.”

It is unclear if the resolution will be adopted by the Utah GOP. Romney, who was the Republican presidential nominee in 2012, was first elected to the Senate in 2018. Despite being a former governor of Massachusetts, Romney won the seat by more than 32 percentage points in a year that heavily favored Democrats.......To Read More.....

Michigan County GOP Censures Rep. Meijer Over Vote to Impeach Trump

By Ivan Pentchoukov February 14, 2021

The executive committee of the Calhoun County Republican Party in Michigan voted on Feb. 11 to censure Rep. Peter Meijer (R-Mich.) for his vote to impeach former President Donald Trump, according to The Detroit News.

The censure is the first of its kind for Meijer, but several other Republicans who voted to impeach Trump had already been censured by state and local parties. Two days after Meijer’s censure, the U.S. Senate voted to acquit Trump, clearing the former president of the charge that he incited the mob that attacked the Capitol on Jan. 6.

“As our membership diligently debated what course of action to take in this matter, it ultimately came down to the fact that, without so much as a hearing, with few settled facts at your disposal, no due process, and with a key charge of the impeachment resolution that you clearly disagreed with, you still chose to join Democrats in a partisan rush to judgment in an attempt to remove a president that was already set to leave office in just seven days,” the formal censure letter states.

Days prior to the Calhoun GOP censure, the Republican leaders in Meijer’s district deadlocked on a vote and failed to advance a resolution censuring Meijer..........To Read More......

My Take Well, it's true, the deplorables are now in charge....Hello Mitch McConnell and company, it's now time to wake up and smell the coffee.  For America's Republican party, it's a new morning!  It's easy to understand why McConnell and Company hated Trump.  They've not had backbones for so many decades it was cultural shock when a man with vertebrae became a Republican President and forced them to actually take stands and keep standing.   They were completely out of their element, aka, groveling, appeasing, apologizing and crawling on their bellies to the press and leftists, they had to completely learn new skills, and couldn't, so they completely lost their minds. I can hear their thoughts now:

Oh my God, you mean I have stand up on my hind legs and take a stand for truth, justice and the American way? We gotta get rid of this guy!

However, 2022 may change the entire mental and emotional make up of the Republican leadership at the national level because at the state and local levels the "new and improved" Republican party is already taking shape at the grass roots.

Good Morning America!

GOP Senator Censured by State Party Hours After Impeachment Vote

Bronson Stocking  Bronson Stocking | @BronsonStocking Feb 13, 2021

Louisiana Republicans aren't happy with their state's senior senator. On Saturday, the Senate voted to acquit private citizen Donald Trump on the impeachment charge of inciting the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. But seven Republican senators broke ranks and voted to convict. Within hours, the Louisiana Republican Party officially censured the state's senior senator, Bill Cassidy (R-LA), for his vote to convict the former president.

"The Executive Committee of the Republican Party of Lousiana has unanimously voted to censure Sen. Bill Cassidy for his vote cast earlier today to convict former President Donald J. Trump on the impeachment charge," the state party announced in a press release.

And just a couple of hours before the official censure, the state GOP condemned Cassidy's pro-impeachment vote "in the strongest possible terms." ............To Read More.....

Arizona Republicans Stand With Trump, Censure Cindy McCain, Jeff Flake and Doug Ducey

Posted on by Sundance

The MAGA movement is a unified common sense political network.  No one in the current GOP is ever going to win reelection without the support of the MAGA base and President Donald Trump.  The GOPe is dead, they just don’t know it yet.   One example comes from Arizona where the republican party has voted to censure anti-Trump voices like Cindy McCain, Jeff Flake and Doug Ducey.  The republican party is a Trump-centric operation now…. you are either with us, or against us.  It matters not........To Read More....

McConnell slams Schumer in floor speech: Don’t pretend you didn’t threaten two justices yesterday

Ed Morrissey March 5, 2020

I tip my hat to both Hot Air readers and to Cocaine Mitch, all of whom grasped the political opportunity Chuck Schumer presented better than I did. “There is nothing to call this except a threat,” McConnell intoned from the Senate floor earlier this morning. “And there is absolutely no question to whom it was directed.” McConnell used Schumer’s vituperative — and ultimately ignorant — rant yesterday to tie it together with Democrats’ long war against judicial nominees, Supreme Court decisions, and the independence of the federal bench.

In its way, it was perhaps one of McConnell’s most stirring performances, and it had one somewhat surprising result — Schumer backed down, at least a little:......To Read More....

My Take Schumer just backing down isn't an option now. He has to be censured by the Senate, and this is long overdue.  The Democrats have gotten away with this obnoxious crap kind for decades.  Things for which the media would have eviscerated any Republican or conservative.  But nothing ever happened because the Republican party is filled with invertebrates.  Finally, they have a President that's been able to grow a spine in their leadership.  Now he has to purge the Mitt Romneys in the party if that spine is to remain firm.

The comments and actions of Schiff demand his formal censure

The views expressed by contributors are their own and not the view of The Hill

By Rep. Scott Perry (R-Pa.), Opinion Contributor — 813

The most solemn duty undertaken by members of Congress is to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. We swear an oath before the beginning of every Congress. My Oath is something I’ve taken seriously throughout a lifetime of public service - from solider, to state representative to congressman. Unfortunately, leftists in Congress are using their sacred oath to the Constitution as justification to flout the primacy of its principles. We see this no more clearly than in the most recent push to impeach the president.

These rushed, faux impeachment proceedings are shrouded in secrecy. No one knows what the rules are, and it gives liberal members – like Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff (D-Calif.) - an opportunity to blatantly fabricate facts of convenience and mislead the American people...........To Read More......
