Here are some post-election comments nearly one month after her big loss: Connecticut Democrat Senator Chris Murphy on Meet the Press:
“Well...in hindsight, knowing that he ultimately made the decision to stand down, yes, of course, it would have been better for President Biden to have made that decision earlier. I think there's no question about it.”
Democrat strategist Jon Reinish in New York Post:
“Getting fundraising requests after any candidate has lost, when they admit that they are still millions of dollars in debt, having blown through over a billion dollars … is especially galling. When I got yet another request from the Harris campaign for me to pony up. Quite frankly, I thought it was insulting.”
Former Biden White House aide Meghan Hays in an interview:
“She did not do an interview for the first 30-some days. I think that the media latched on to that, and then when they did ask her questions, it was more about why she wasn’t doing the interviews.”
Pollster Nate Silver in an interview (as Harris’s team says her loss was a conspiracy):
"Harris didn't do a solo network interview until late September. Which who cares, fine, the networks don't matter so much. Then she did a bunch toward the end of the race. But she was legit not doing a lot of traditional media. That was the campaign's choice, not some conspiracy."
