Tulsi Gabbard as Trump’s running mate?

By Rich Kozlovich

The title of this article is the same as the February 24, 2024 article by Amil Imani at American Thinker discussing how all of a sudden there's all this interest in Tulsi Gabbard since it was reported she was on Trump's short list for VP.  I wonder what Washington bathroom wall that brilliant piece of information came from?

The author goes on to list all her pluses and minuses.  As it were, I found many of her pluses to be minuses.  At any rate the author starts out saying:

Tulsi Gabbard, a former U.S. representative for Hawaii's congressional 2nd District and a decorated military veteran, has emerged as a fascinating potential candidate for the vice presidential spot in Donald Trump's administration. Her background, unorthodox political stances, and broad appeal marked by a unique blend of military experience, legislative understanding, and a distinctive foreign policy stance offer a compelling narrative for her potential role in the Trump administration.

The author goes on to claim her political career has demonstrated:

........strong focus on legislative achievements that resonate with a broad spectrum of constituents. During her tenure in Congress, Tulsi Gabbard demonstrated a multifaceted approach to governance, focusing on several key areas.

Now, what exactly does that mean?

  • Strong focus.
  • Legislative achievements.
  • Multifaceted approach.
  • Broad appeal.
I really like that last one.  It says so little while covering so much except to tell us exactly who she actually appeals to.  Are we to believe it's conservatives that find her "broadly" appealing?  I don't know, maybe this is just a shot in the dark, but that's short on details and long on clap trap. Ya know, kinda like public relations BS?

As for those who claim she’s attractive as a Trump VP, I have two words that express my views thoroughly.  Really? Remarkable!  So, can someone tell me which of her following characteristics do Trump supporters find to be the most attractive?

  1. She’s a green nut?
  2. Thinks it’s the federal government’s responsibility to provide housing for society.
  3. Thinks GM foods are frankenfoods.
  4. Wants to make sure the federal government steals more land than the almost 25% it currently owns by creating more national parks.
  5. Loves globalist economic tyranny.
  6. She was in the military.
  7. Chose to be a Democrat politician after her time in the military.
Now there may be those who think her military service was a plus, and that makes her a military expert. That’s a red herring if there ever was one. First, she was an officer, the ultimate go along to get along crowd. Second, I worked in intelligence when I served, and I wouldn't have qualified as an expert in military affairs by any stretch of the imagination, let alone someone who was assigned as a military cop. And since that's where she was assigned I have to wonder why.  That's not like she was chosen to serve as a general's staff officer.  And her political choice after her military service I think tells an important tale about the workings of her mind.

While she may have gotten some things right, took some strong stands, and a lot of criticism from her Democrat buddies, it just proves even a blind coconut can find a monkey occasionally.

Oh, wait, I know..... I know ..... she had an epiphany! Now she realizes all her past leftist views and values were all wrong, and they were evil! Right?  And it only took 42 years for her to realize that?

Remarkable!  Short list?  Get real!

I think Gabbard has worked long enough for America, and needs to retire from public life with our thanks. The thanks part is for going away.  Oh, wait, I just had a thought.  Maybe she could take Liz and Nikki with her. Now that would be doing the nation a legitimate service.
