P&D and The Week That Was

As my regular readers know I subscribe to a number of geopolitical sites, and mostly because I enjoy digging into all the history and the all intricacies involving the foundational social paradigms of these nations.  And I really enjoy creating articles that explain all of it.   

But I've had a lot of outside projects I needed to get finish this year, and so much has been going on domestically that needed to be addressed, much of which took a lot of research to produce worthwhile articles, I just left the the alerts from the geopolitical sites pretty much untouched most of this summer.  Much to my dismay, all the way back to May.  

The biggest problem with so many of these geopolitical experts is their articles are far too long, too complicated, and there's an unending amount of repetition.  What I could say in two paragraphs, they take ten, and then repeat what they've already said.  And it seems to me so many have a problem with coherence through connectives.  So it can be tough slogging at times to break their commentaries down to what I call "The Basics".   Here are some basic facts that are incontrovertible.

• All geopolitics is predicated on geographics, demographic, and economics.
  
• Nothing is ever as it appears, and nothing is permanent.  
• The driving forces of geopolitics are greed, envy, hate, jealousy, and lust.  

In coming weeks I will be running more geopolitical articles, some I can link, but others are from paid subscription sites, so you will just have to take my word for what they're saying...or not.... as it pleases you.  Until then, here's my choice for cartoon of the day followed by 22 commentaries and 11 links.
