Election Security Debate Heats Up Over Mail-In Ballots

Matthew Vadum August 11, 2020Updated: August 13, 2020

How to conduct the approaching Nov. 3 and subsequent elections has itself become a political issue after a spate of recent high-profile incidents of significantly delayed ballots and other electoral mishaps have drawn attention to problems associated with voting-by-mail.

President Donald Trump has spoken out against voting-by-mail, saying it lacks many of the safeguards of voting in person and can lead to big delays in arriving at an election’s final result.

My Take - Okay, let's try and get this right.
  • Which party is pushing for this with every ounce of strength they have? The Democrats.
  • Which party has been the most guilty of abusing the system with voter fraud for years? The Democrats.
So, based on that, why would you want to give them what they want? The potential for voter fraud with mail-in ballots is staggering.

     Here's the solution.

Everyone votes on the same day. Everyone votes at the polls, everyone has to show I.D., everyone has to register to vote at least three months before the election and no absentee ballots except for military and government staff stationed out of the country.

    Problem solved.

Will that impact those too old or too infirm to vote. Yes. But that's the price that has to be paid in order to prevent voter fraud from running unchecked.
