Have I Ever Told You About Preconceptual Science?

My now passed friend Dr. Jay Lehr was at Princeton when Einstein was there, and he told me when Einstein first came to Princeton he delivered a series of lectures, and I think it was seven, but five for sure.  He said at the first couple of those lectures you couldn't buy or steal a seat in that room it was so packed, but by the last lecture there were plenty of seats.  

 

I was a bit surprised and asked why.  He said a lot of these people, many of whom were among the smartest people in the world, didn't have a clue what he was talking about, and clearly they didn't dare suggest is was Einstein who didn't know what he was talking about.  Can you imagine what that must have done to their egos?

 

Over the course of my almost 78 years respect for science has gone from the top of Mt. Everest to the toilet, and for good reason.   During and right after WWII science exposed the world to the atom bomb, sputnik, men to the moon, and amazing medical advances at disease prevention.  And as a result some scientist could look up from his microscope, or turn from his blackboard with all sorts of gibberish only they and their peers understood, and mumble out incomprehensible babble almost no one would understand, but everyone would be sure to believe.   And it might be true, and it might not.

 

As my friend Mike Shaw noted:   

 

Science, once indistinguishable from a search for truth—has become fatally corrupted by academia in a rapacious search for dollars.

 

With all the scientific jargon, and arrogant ivory tower isolation, we just didn't know any better, but time and truth are on the same side, and before now we just didn't know scientific integrity has always been a serious issue.

 

Evolution was at the heart of much of it, and was the greatest scientific fraud ever perpetrated on humanity, until global warming, and this fraudulent coronavirus pandemic, and worse yet, the shots they forced on much of humanity they fraudulently called "vaccines".  The negative health consequences as a result of these vaccination mandates of are world wide, and will continue for decades.

 

Let's try and get this once and for all. Government grant money has made

 

Nothing has changed, and in point of fact it's getting worse, and will get far worse in the coming years because now any nitwit, or group of nitwits with computers and a "twitter" account can force science to reject anything they don't like. Nitwits are now part of the peer review process.  The article about the study in question went on to say:

On January 4th, the paper "Meta-analysis: On average, undergraduate students’ intelligence is merely average," was accepted to the journal. That same day, the abstract was published with the notice that the "final, formatted version of the article will be published soon".

Apparently the average IQ for college undergraduates has dropped, and a lot from "around 120 to 102, just slightly above the average of 100."  Let's  not delude ourselves, that's huge, and apparently it's true.  The authors went on to point out the ranks attending college is no longer from the higher IQ members of society, and as a result, "academic standards and curricula might have to be adjusted."  After what we've seen at Harvard, does anyone doubt that?

Well, this set up a fire storm of protest because they really didn't like the author's "tone".  It was demeaning, and lacked sensitivity, and criticized the peer reviewers for not finding fault with their paper, including the Frontiers in Psychology handling editor.  

The editor  of that journal, Eddy Davelaar, overrode all that and attempted to refute the evidence presented, and he did so....... with his opinions.......and has refused to respond to challenges over his actions and his opinions.  

But none of that changes the fact these young academics are dumber than ever, and are no longer required to perform mentally challenging tasks.  Academia is more about Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion than it is with honest education, that teaches critical thinking, versus Critical Race Theory.

Diversity without accomplishment is philosophy without form and incompetence without consequence.  Unfortunately, as with all these schemes, humanity pays the penalty, and in the future the consequences are going to be dramatic.  Negatively dramatic.  

One more thing, this whole Preconceptual claptrap mentality doesn't just apply to science.  It works for economics also. 

Academia is a Cavern of Darkness

 On October 19 John M. Grondelski posted this article on American Thinker, Indigestion, Ethics, and College Protests, discussing an article by Ezekiel Emanuel who teaches bioethics at the University of Pennsylvania  entitled, “The Moral Deficiencies of a Liberal Education, in the October 17 New York Times" saying:
 

Emanuel............ bemoans the “moral blinders” so prominently on display on various college campuses — especially, but not only, elite ones like Harvard, Yale, Columbia, and Penn — in the initial reaction to Hamas’s terror attack on Israel.  That undergraduates could demonstrate in support of barbarians who killed women and children makes Emanuel declare: “We have failed.”

 

Grondelski goes on to say:

 

Professor Emanuel is right that there is something deeply rotten on the modern college campus. But he doesn’t identify what.

Well, since academia is a sewer of intellectual and moral rot, there's a reason "he doesn't identify what" that deep rot is, and he thinks more ethics classes will do the trick.  Well, let's face it, he's an academic, so I'm not shocked he can't identify what's wrong, and so offers meaningless solutions.  He's part of the problem.  However, I'm willing to be fair and help him understand, not that it will do any good.  So, here, allow me to properly define all of this.

This academic moral and intellectual problem in academia is a foundational social paradigm problem. 

 

America was created from the bottom up based on Judaic/Christian principles and ethics, by people who were practicing Christians who actually believed in those values. It's true they were far from perfect, but that's a separate issue, so spare me that admonition, that doesn't alter the fact those values were the foundational social paradigms that molded America.

Everything is "The Basics", and here's the foundational source of all that moral equivocation and ambivalence in academia.  We've filled our institutions with atheists, Muslims, racists, anti-semites, anti-Christians, anti-America sewer trout, communist/socialist/Marxists, and anti-whites, who now teach nothing but hate, discontent, and insane propaganda telling these young minds to hate everything about America.  Worst of all, the nation is filled with entirely too many nominal Jews and Christians who allow it, and even support these institutions with their donations, along with sending their children to these toxic viper's pits.

None of that is fixable at the university level, or by the government. It can only be fixed by American society embracing it's past. But we've allowed leftists with their immigration policies to fill America with an unending list of  virulent  anti-America immigrants, and they've destroyed any sense of harmony in our demographic makeup.  

 

My greatest fear?  A worldwide economic collapse that I believe will occur within the next few years, because I fear that will bring about serious levels of violence nationally, and worldwide.

The Sewer Trout of Academia

This Israel/Hamas War has triggered reactions all over the world, including just about every academic institution in the nation, and most of those reactions were anti-Semitic, and apparently the billionaires who fund these university are shocked.....shocked I tell you.... and they're going to do something about it, which was long over due. On Sunday Robert Weissberg posted this article on American Thinker, Time for Billionaire Donors to Face Reality saying:

An important repercussion of the recent campus anti-Israel/pro-Hamas rallies is that major university donors, many of whom are Jewish, say that they are re-thinking their continued support of their alma mater........

He also goes on to say:  

Can these aroused financial titans root out anti-Semitism? No doubt, the closed checkbooks will alarm top administrators who will promise “steps will be taken,” but, sadly, matters will not change, rhetoric aside.

Academia has been eating away at the framework of American culture and the Judaic/Christian foundation that created America for over 100 years.   When the Frankfurt School socialists fled Germany and Hitler, they came to American universities and were accepted without hesitation, and they further corrupted the minds of America's youth, without protest or correction by these institutions, or their benefactors.  Where was the outrage from the wealthy and powerful over the last 100 years?

A backlash by the nation's wealthy and powerful against what academia was doing should have occurred many decades ago when Americans still shared and embraced the American culture.   They not only failed to do so, they were part of that dismantling of America.  Now see the consequences of their failure.   Consequences that should have been as obvious as night follows day.   And now it's too late.  

Otto Von Bismarck, the Iron Chancellor of Germany, once noted the difference between America and Europe was America was a real nation because Americans shared the same language and the same foundational culture.  Whereas Europe was a geographical designation.   Well, by that definition, America isn't a real nation any longer.  Academia and those who've supported these sewers for all of these decades worked to Balkanize America, and they succeeded.

Now the only thing that can fix these intellectual and moral sewers is bankruptcy, and with Harvard's endowment in the 50 billion dollar range, that will take some time, and it's just a matter of time before this new billionaire enlightenment will fade just like fog in sunlight. 

Fixing academia will take a national effort.  No more government funding, no more student loans, no more non-profit institutional status or tax exemptions.  High levels of taxation, especially finding ways of taxing their endowment funds.  Lawsuits against the institutions, and the professors for fraud.  Massive and unending public exposure of what they're teaching and promoting, and who's doing it. 

That's what it will take to fix these institutions, but as I said, this will have to be a national effort, starting with a temporary end to all immigration into America.  Mass deportations of non-citizens, and in many cases, the revocation of citizenship of some immigrants.   We can start with Ilhan Oman and Rashida Tlaib.   Permanently stop all immigration from Islamic lands, and reinstitute the McCarran Walters Act of 1952 that prohibited the immigration of Islamists, and make English the national language.  

We can't fix academia without fixing America.
