The GOP’s Trump Solution

At some point, the former Republican establishment will have to familiarize itself with the consequences of being defeated by Donald Trump within its own party.

The Wall Street Journal on Friday published an editorial headlined “The GOP’s Trump Problem.” It gets things terribly wrong. The GOP is Trump’s party and it is the Wall Street Journal that has the Trump problem. 

Having been commendably supportive of the former president through most of his term, the Journal joined in the general embarkation of NeverTrumpers over the ostensible election results. The theory that inspired this headline is Trump had his chance but lost the election in a manner practically indistinguishable from defeated incumbents Jimmy Carter in 1980 and George H. W. Bush in 1992 (when there were no suggestions of questionable results). The editors suggest further that Trump had exhausted any grounds he had for contesting the fairness of the counting of ballots, and that it was his duty to go quietly into that good night and do everything that he could to elect Republican senators in Georgia to preserve the Republican majority in the Senate and to enhance the likelihood of the reelection next year of Governor Brian Kemp of Georgia and his secretary of state Brad Raffensperger.............To Read More.....

My Take - Interesting piece in contrast with these two diametrically opposing views.

Here's the thing. These two are losers.  Flake really is a flake and Kasich, whom I've met, suffers from a serious case of weird compounded by a massive infection of hubris, and both suffer from the Mind Projection fallacy, where they see what's in their head, whether it's real or not.  Will Trump shrink the GOP?  Yes!  By driving out the invertebrates, collaborators and self-serving traitors like these two, and John Boehner, who's absolutely a disgrace, and if reports are correct, a drunk. 

 

 

Martha McSally is Worse Than Jeff Flake

 Arizona’s Republican U.S. Sen. Jeff Flake has announced he’s not running for reelection, so several candidates have jumped into the open race to replace him. There are currently three frontrunners. GOP Rep. Martha McSally, a combat pilot who served in the U.S. Air Force, former Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio, and former Arizona State Senator Kelli Ward. Ward made a name for herself launching an unsuccessful conservative challenge to Sen. John McCain in 2016.

McSally is the darling of the GOP establishment. She was elected to Congress in 2014, representing a swing district seat formerly held by Gabrielle Giffords. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell recruited McSally last year as one of several moderates to run for the Senate. “We are going to be supporting people who can actually win,” he said in his year-end news conference critical of conservative candidates. “But we have got some great candidates out there and you're familiar with them, Martha McSally …” His Senate Leadership Fund super PAC intends to spend considerable money supporting her run.

 

McSally is a member of the Republican Main Street Partnership, a group of moderate Republicans in Congress. McCain is also a member. Her voting record is less conservative than both Flake and McCain.........To Read More.....

 

My Take - If there ever was an event that more clearly discribes what's wrong with the Republican Party I don't know what does.  Flake isn't running because as he says: "I could not win in a Republican primary".  Now Arizona finally has a chance to dump two of the worst RINO's in the Senate and what does the Republican leadership do - they try to replace them with someone as bad if not worse.  Why then would he think someone with a worse record than Flake can win the Republican primary if the sitting Senator can't? 

 

McConnell's current term ends in 2020 as a Senator from Kentucky, and it seems to me from people I've talked to in Kentucky - it isn't gong to be up to him whether or not he runs again.  Those who've given thousands to McConnell will never give him another dime and only think the worse of him for his opposition to President Trump.  And that's the key - Trump haters have exposed themselves for who and what they really are, and conservatives now have a clear picture of why nothing gets fixed in Washington.  And it appears at this point - McConnell may be seated until 2020, it isn't all that clear he'll be the leader of the Republicans in the Senate after 2018. 

 

Jeff Flake: GOP Leadership Promised DACA Amnesty if I Vote for Tax Bill

Sen. Jeff Flake (R-AZ) has revealed that he’s been promised an amnesty for nearly 800,000 illegal aliens by the Senate Republican leadership so long as he votes in favor of a year-end tax reform bill.

In a statement, Flake — a longtime advocate for mass immigration and amnesty — said he was originally going to vote against the tax reform plan, but was promised by GOP leadership that if he voted in favor of the bill, he would be backed later on by leadership with a plan to give amnesty to hundreds of thousands of illegal aliens who have been shielded from deportation by the President Obama-created Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program.

My Take -  This surprises us why?  Flake's name is truly fitting.  If there ever was a group of "leaders" who were more incompetent in this country than this group - it would be hard to find them.

They're going to support turning hundreds of thousands of illegal immigrants into legal voters who will vote for their opposition.  Is there any reason why the Republican Party isn't going to continue to be the "stupid party"? 

As for Mitch McConnell - My friends in Kentucky who've donated thousands to him over the years are done with him - and he's done also.  And I think after 2018 he's toast as the majority leader. 

McConnell and his coterie are a disgrace, he's 75 and needs to go home for good.  Another example of why there needs to be a Constitutional Amendment for term limits for elected officials, and most importantly - term and age limits for the federal judiciary. 

But flake is out after 2018 and John McCain may not last until 2018 as the average life span after diagnosis for his cancer is 14 months, and he made the announcement in September, even though he intends to keep working throwing leftist sand in the gears as long as he can.  This is the cancer that killed Ted Kennedy and it appears McCain thinks highly of Kennedy for continuing to spew out his leftist insanity from a wheelchair instead of resigning and going home to his family and spending his last day making amends for the family disasters he created.  Then again - maybe that's why he stayed in Washington.  Spending your final days going over the woulda, coulda, shoulda's of you life can be tasking - and in his case it would be self imposed mental torture. 

Things are going to change in the Senate, and I don't believe the pundits who claim the Democrats will take over either of the chambers of Congress are right.
