Something's Missing in the Mar-a-Lago Coverage

I am someone who has held a TS/SCI (Top Secret — Special Comparted Information) security clearance. Moreover, I have had a facility clearance for my home so that I could handle classified information there. Having had that experience, I get more than a little annoyed at the speculative misinformation that all parties in the Mar-a-Lago affair are spreading around. Granted, my security experience was before my retirement a decade ago, but I doubt much has changed since then. 

I make three points. The first is that the Justice Department is blowing smoke. They are either completely incompetent or deliberately abusing their authority by lying to the court. The second point is that the investigative media (including Fox News) have not done their homework and have not found out how the security system actually works. The third point illustrates the first. In no legal sense is Donald Trump guilty of anything. This is because, as a former president, he has both a TS/SCI personal clearance and the same level of facility clearances for his various locations.

To complete the circle, the first two points follow from the third: the Justice Department has charged Donald Trump with violating security regulations by having inappropriate classified documents at Mar-a-Lago. Well, as president, Trump's home, and probably everywhere he may reside or work, automatically has a TS/SCI facility clearance. And so his home is appropriate for the safekeeping of classified documents.

I note that Mar-a-Lago is under 24/7 protection by the Secret Service. This automatically meets the requirements for the safety of a very high-level facility clearance. Moreover, an extra degree of protection was installed, at the government's request, when a lock was put on the door where the documents were stored. Donald Trump Declassifies More Materials from Crossfire Hurricane in Final Hours as President

President Donald Trump ordered that more documents from Operation Crossfire Hurricane be declassified Tuesday, in his final hours as president.  The president noted he requested the Department of Justice to provide the White Hosue with a binder of materials related to the FBI’s investigation of him and his campaign as part of the investigation of whether he was colluding with Russia to win the presidential election.

“I determined that the materials in that binder should be declassified to the maximum extent possible,” Trump wrote in a memo released by the White House Tuesday night.  He noted that the FBI objected to further declassification of the materials but had identified the passages “most crucial” to keep redacted.  “I have determined to accept the redactions proposed for continued classification by the FBI in that January 17 submission,” he wrote.

The president said he had ordered the attorney general to provide a final copy of the binder with appropriate redactions.  “Accordingly, at my direction, the Attorney General has conducted an appropriate review to ensure that materials provided in the binder may be disclosed by the White House in accordance with applicable law,” he wrote. It was not immediately clear when the contents of the binder would be released, but it will likely cast a shadow over President-elect Joe Biden’s Inauguration and the first 100 days of his presidency..............To Read More.....

In reply to Todd Starnes’s Dec. 11 post on Twitter that said“At this point @realDonaldTrump should declassify everything. Everything,” President Donald Trump wrote, “I have been doing this. I agree!”

Excellent advice, and indeed President Trump should use this time to strike blows against the “deep state,” corrupt politicians, foreign enemies, and all who have endangered our national security and domestic liberties. In other words, declassify far more than has been to date

The president should declassify and publicly release everything possible within these categories as well as release all such non-classified information that’s currently unknown to the public. If you’d told me a couple of decades ago that leading conservative commentators would one day be celebrating an openly gay man as an American hero, I’d never have believed it. But that’s exactly what’s happening now. The man in question, of course, is Richard Grenell, currently serving both as the U.S. Ambassador to Germany and as the Acting Director of National Intelligence, and hence a member of the Cabinet.

It was under intense pressure from Grenell that the House Intelligence Committee, on May 7, released the transcripts of 53 interviews conducted privately in connection with the probe into President Trump’s alleged Russian ties. In those interviews, former members of the Obama Administration – several of whom had publicly insisted, on cable news shows and elsewhere, that there was firm evidence of collusion between Trump and the Kremlin – swore under oath that they were unaware of any such evidence..........To Read More....

My Take - So, let me see if I understand this.  The meme from the left is that Trump is a homophobe. A President who appointed an openly gay man as the ambassador to Germany and has done an extraordinary job putting the Germans in their place, sending a message to the rest of the EU letting them know who's the big kid on the block, and made him the acting Director of National Intelligence at the same time, is a homophobe? 

Really? 

It must really be true the left is smarter than the right, because the mental gymnastics they have to do to make their insane thoughts seem sane must require an enormous level of brilliance.  Or maybe they're just insane? 

Well, maybe after reading this piece in full, you, like me, will go for option two. 

America Compromised by the Crooked Cabal

As we wait in anticipation for the declassification of documents, to begin the expose’ of exactly what precipitated deep state spying, well before and after the election of Donald J. Trump, we must ask ourselves a fundamental question…

 

Can we ever again allow a small crooked cabal of upper echelon bureaucrats to foist a plot against a sitting President, for their political pleasure and greed?

 

If it can be proven that they abused the power that ”We the People” entrusted to them, to be used for nefarious deeds, there must be severe consequence for every evildoer. This would include the previous administration, right up to and including the top.

 

Our Republic is greater than any President, political party or any government agency⏤the future is at stake. 

 

This is not a time for sympathy and compassion against the evildoers. These traitors are treasonably dead wrong.

Trump Let the Dogs Out

The Democrats, stumbling down the road to impeachment, were stunned by President Trump’s executive order on Thursday.

The order is in two parts. First, it directs the intelligence agencies to cooperate with Attorney General William Barr’s investigation into the origins of the Trump-Russia counterintelligence investigation that was the vehicle used to spy on candidate Trump’s campaign and President Trump’s administration when it was new.

The second part of the order delegates to Barr the president’s authority to declassify — or reduce the level of classification of — anything that the intelligence agencies will give him ................

Predictably, the people who are at greatest risk of exposure and danger of indictment erupted at Trump’s order.

For example, Obama’s CIA chief, John Brennan, told an interviewer,“I see it as a very, very serious and outrageous move on the part of Mr. Trump, once again, trampling on the statutory authorities of the Director of National Intelligence and the heads of the independent intelligence agencies.”

Brennan continued: “And it’s unclear to me what Mr. Barr is actually going to do. Is he investigating a crime? Well, what’s the predication of that crime? Or he is just going to be looking for information… that Mr. Trump can just give to his defenders on the right and cherry-pick information that could be taken out of context?”...............To Read More.....

My Take - Does Brennan realize his argument is a clear demonstration of exactly what the Democrats in the House are actually doing versus what he claims the President and Barr may do?  As for the President "trampling on the statutory authorities of the Director of National Intelligence and the heads of the independent intelligence agencies”, that's a load of horsepucky. 

The President of the United States is the nations chief executive, and those people work for him.  Furthermore, the President of the United States has the authority to declassify anything he sees fit to declassify, and the hired help has no authority to override such a decision.  They will comply or be fired.  It's also clear these agencies are nothing more than cockroach nests of corruption.  These vermin are hiding in the cracks and crevices of these agencies in order to escape the light of day, and are in need some serious "pest control" to flush them out in the open.  

As for this investigation impacting the 2020 election - of course it will!  Why wouldn't exposing the corruption of the Obama cabal of traitors not impact the 2020 election?  The only real question is this?  Who's going to start screaming - "let's make a deal" first, and who's going jail.  As for Brennan, Comey, Clapper, Lynch, Rice, Hillary and Bill - I can't imagine how they're going to stay out of jail - unless of course they can squeal on Obama and throw him under the bus. 

Is it any wonder why society despises government.
