Ryan Grantham, whose credits involve "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" and "Riverdale," has been sentenced to life in prison for the slaying his mother.  Prosecutors said the former actor, 24, confessed to killing his mother in his own GoPro camera after the 2020 incident.  "I shot her in the back of the head. In the moments after, she would have known it was me," he said, according to TMZ. UK: Afghan Sex Offender Gets Short Sentence for Trying to Cut Teen’s Throat on Public Bus

An Afghan migrant still in Britain despite being convicted of 23 offences including a sexual assault has received a short sentence for trying to slaughter a teen boy like an animal on the floor of a public bus in Runcorn, England.  Hamid Akhonzada, who arrived in Britain supposedly aged 16 claiming to be a refugee from Afghanistan’s Western-backed government ten years ago, evidently faced no significant punishments for his many crimes, given he was a free man last March when the attack took place.

Chester Crown Court heard that Akhonzada, who claimed he was “close to God” heard voices, “held [his 17 year-old victim’s] head back and drew a bladed article described as a steak knife across the throat”, as one might slaughter an animal, after sitting behind him and his girlfriend, 16, on a public bus.........To Read More....

Who Would You Kill?

The proximity of two Supreme Court decisions, one upholding the right to carry guns for self-defense, and the other, dispensing with Roe v. Wade and the myth of a constitutional basis for abortion, has unleashed the furies of political outrage and hot takes.

“Gonna be very weird if Supreme Court ends a constitutional right to obtain an abortion next week, saying it should be left to the States to decide, right after it just imposed a constitutional right to concealed carry of firearms, saying it cannot be left to the States to decide,” Neal Katyal, Obama's Solicitor General and a potential Democrat Supreme Court nominee tweeted.

He wasn’t alone.

"States can’t decide how to regulate guns. Also SCOTUS: States decide how to regulate women’s bodies and abortion," St. Louis Mayor Tishaura O. Jones tweeted.

"The Supreme Court's back-to-back decisions on guns and abortions have the practical impact of preventing Democratic states from regulating guns — and allowing Republican states to prohibit abortions," New York Times political reporter Shane Goldmacher tweeted.

The conflation of ‘New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen’ and ‘Dobbs v. Jackson’ is compelling to lefty legalists who have never taken the Second Amendment seriously.

But beyond the legal fact that the Right to Bear Arms is in the Constitution and the right to kill babies isn’t, there is a moral difference of values that is worth contemplating here.

Justice Clarence Thomas, when writing his opinion striking down concealed carry restrictions in New York, emphasized that they prohibited "law-abiding citizens with ordinary self-defense needs from exercising their Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms in public for self-defense."

The number of justifiable homicides has increased as pro-crime politicians have dismantled the criminal justice system and refused to lock up even career criminals.

St. Louis, Mayor Jones’ city, has seen the number of justifiable homicides triple in three years.

Many and perhaps even most of the justifiable homicides in St. Louis involved black people who live in communities and neighborhoods suffering from high crime rates.

In Philly, justifiable homicides were up 67% in one year. And there have already been 8 justifiable homicides in the city this year. The folks defending themselves in the City of Brotherly Love are often minorities who have despaired of the criminal justice system under a Soros DA.

It's as fashionable for lefties to deplore a black man shooting a thug who tried to rob him as it is to rave that dropping a federal mandate for Roe v. Wade will make it harder to kill babies.

The lefties who fund campaigns to save death row inmates also fund those that kill children.

The Trolley Problem is a classic ethical triage dilemma. It can be summed up as, "who do you kill"? The answer from the contrast between abortion and gun control is to kill the children.

The moral chasm between the premeditated murder of the innocent and the desperate self-defense of beleaguered men fighting for their lives is both damning and revealing of the fundamental flaws of victimhood utilitarianism and Marxist power dynamics as guides.

How did we get to the point where babies can be killed and murderers can’t?

The answer lies in the reduction of individuals to classes and classes to victims. Feminist analyses reduced babies from human lives to tools of the patriarchy, lacking agency and able only to deprive women of their own agency. Abortion became a fundamental means of restoring feminist agency. The killing of children was celebrated as a revolutionary feminist act.

The inherent violence of leftist radical politics made the murder of millions of children into a revolution against the patriarchy. Any attempt to limit, stop or roll back the federal mandate under which states were allowed to regulate everything except the killing of babies was an attack on this form of liberation on which all the “rights” of women and even men were said to depend.

A post-familial society defined by BAs, MAs and PhDs, by C-suites and lifelong careers, interrupted by awkward hookups and affairs terminating in #MeToo scandals and abortions depended on the “legal, safe, and convenient” mass murder of millions of unwanted babies much the way that cotton depended on slaves and iPhones depend on Chinese slave labor.

Killing people to maintain a particular lifestyle is a common reason for genocide.

Even as feminist analyses were redefining abortion as a revolutionary act of liberation, class and racial warfare analyses were transforming crime into another tool of social liberation.

"Rape was an insurrectionary act," Black Panther activist Eldridge Cleaver wrote. Race riots are now routinely redefined as “uprisings”. Fighting crime is a reactionary plot to stop the revolution.

Leftist revolution was all about hurting and killing people, not just in the organized fashion of gulags and firing squads, but in private acts like a visit to Planned Parenthood or violent crime. Defending against these acts of violence was counterrevolutionary uniting pro-abortion and pro-crime, the license to commit violence in the name of bringing about a more just world.

Gun control was never about preventing crime. Even as Democrats advocate for gun bans, they dismantle the criminal justice system, eliminating bail, freeing killers, thugs and drug dealers, and refusing to enforce even those laws, including gun laws, that are already on the books.

The purpose of gun control is preventing people from defending their lives and freedoms.

The Left’s revolution in a larger philosophical sense is about the social redistribution of agency through acts of terror, personal, collective, and governmental. “Who would you kill” is not a hypothetical question. Nor is it a question that has not been carefully thought out by the Left.

Over the last century, leftists have given a great deal of thought to who deserves to die. Their regimes, from the USSR to Communist China, Cuba, Cambodia, Nicaragua, and many others had detailed thoughts on who needed to die to bring about a more just society. But it’s not just radicals in black and red screaming furiously at rallies who have come to think in those terms.

Or, as Oprah once said, “There are still generations of people, older people, who were born and bred and marinated in it, in that prejudice and racism, and they just have to die.”

Crime and abortion are both acts of violence. The Supreme Court has ruled that individuals and states have the right to defend against these forms of leftist violence. Conservative justices have sided with the victims of violence against the perpetrators of that violence.

Reinvigorating Law and Order in America

The great leveling force that the Left has relentlessly employed to transform every aspect of our culture in order to achieve “equity” has long relied upon a war against “intolerance” as their principal weapon. More recently, however, our social justice warriors—along with their oh-so enlightened and compassionate allies in Big Media, Big Tech, and Big Business have determined that a tolerant society is, well, just no longer enough.

Given the stubbornness of inequalities across social, racial, gender and economic groups, the Left has ratcheted up both their tactics and their tone against traditional America. Many have argued that the war they now wage is against our conventional meritocracy, even against merit itself. It is, however, more basic—and threatening—than that.

It’s a war against standards.

Standards in what constitutes the truth. Standards in acceptable levels of discourse. Standards in the meaning of citizenship. Most of all, it is a war against any standard of acceptable individual behavior.

To put it another way, we have been so bludgeoned with the obligation of endless tolerance and unquestioned compassion that we must no longer demand personal responsibility of our fellow citizens. Movement Grows to Recall Progressive District Attorney

Left-wing D.A. candidates, and the philosophy George Soros and other progressives intend to bring to the office, are finally getting the scrutiny they deserve.

The advocacy group “Fair and Just Prosecution” says the goal of progressive criminal justice reform is to create “a justice system grounded in fairness, equity, compassion, and fiscal responsibility.” Starting around 2016, this movement picked up momentum across the United States, primarily by funding candidates in county district attorney elections. There are now dozens of cities and counties with elected district attorneys that are enforcing massive shifts in prosecutorial conduct.

Reforms were needed. But so far, they have been a disaster.

While the most visible source of funding for these district attorney candidates is the notorious George Soros, the movement is much bigger than the agenda of one billionaire. It taps a core belief of progressives, that America’s criminal justice system is punitive and disproportionately targets nonwhite and low-income communities. California judge sentences two killers of a 13-year-old to ... anger management therapy

In a case that's drawing a lot of attention based on the insane level of leniency shown, two 14-year-olds who bullied, murdered, danced on the body of, and filmed a helpless 13-year-old, have been let off with the mother-of-all-slaps-on-the-wrist by a Riverside County Superior Court Justice..............Last fall, the boys entered the equivalent of guilty pleas in juvenile court last fall to involuntary manslaughter and assault with force likely to cause great bodily injury. They spent 47 days in juvenile custody.

 

The helpless 13-year-old orphan had been bullied, brutalized, begged for help from the teachers' unionized school officials whose fat-salaried job was to protect him, and got nothing. They let him get murdered. And early on, they callously blamed the kid's family for his killing, instead of themselves. The case makes one's blood boil. 

 

How can a 13-year-old's life be worth absolutely nothing? The kid was an orphan, living with his aunt and uncle, who are now suing the school district for its lazy indifference. They'll get money no doubt, but the kid still lays dead, robbed of absolutely everything as the killers snigger in remorselessness, a fact noted by the judge in this KTLA passage:.........

 

In San Diego County alone, which abuts Riverside County, pretty much nobody juvenile goes to jail anymore, no matter how many classmates they kill. Here's a left-slanted 2018 report touting the empty jails in the local Voice of San Diego:...... It goes to show that so-called criminal justice reform is a total fraud. Nobody gets punished. And for helpless, 13-year-old orphans like Diego Stolz, nobody gets justice. This is vile, and cries out for reform. The little kid got zero justice. His life was essentially declared worthless by the leftists in power in California. One can only hope that this finally is what it takes to wake up California's voters and make this 'criminal reform' legislation an issue. Who is the DC Judge Who Let the FBI Criminal Off Light?

A troubling tale.

On Friday, former FBI lawyer Kevin Clinesmith got a “slap on the wrist,” Debra Heine reports, for falsifying an email in the quest to gain a FISA warrant to spy on an American citizen, Carter Page. Clinesmith was facing a maximum five years in prison and a fine of $250,000, so twelve months probation, a $100 fine and 400 hours of community service, is indeed a slap on the wrist. Even so, it still falls short.

Carter Page might expect the judge to lecture Clinesmith about the lawyer about sullying the reputation of the FBI and DOJ, and betraying the federal government that employed him to uphold the law. None of that for District of Columbia judge James Boasberg. He opted for leniency because the allegedly remorseful Clinesmith had suffered by losing his job and “standing in the eye of a media hurricane.” It was a curious choice of words for the Obama appointee............To Read More......

 

 

DA charges violent protesters in Oklahoma City with 'terrorism,' 'rioting,' and 'assault'

The damage by Mayor Jacob Frey of Minneapolis, who withdrew police from his city's third precinct and allowed rioters free rein, extended across the nation. The message was clear: it was open season for violent thuggery as long as it was in the name of politically correct slogans like "black lives matter" and "antifascism." The toleration of CHAZ/CHOP in Seattle amplified the signal that there would be no legal consequences for lawlessness in the name of the correct causes.

A return to law and order, a situation in which people think twice before committing criminal acts while in mobs, will take longer, but it is finally underway. On the federal level, two New York City lawyers who allegedly aided a Molotov cocktail attack on police car face felony charges that could land them in prison for the rest of their lives. And now, on the local level, a district attorney is bringing grave felony charges against violent rioters.

"This is not Seattle," proclaimed Oklahoma County district attorney David Prater on Friday, adding, "We're not putting up with this lawlessness here" after pressing felony charges related to violent demonstrations there the last weekend in May. The Use and Abuse of Political Accountability

In the aftermath of the Mueller investigation, both parties are calling for accountability. Dems believe that despite Mueller’s findings of the president’s innocence of collusion, Donald Trump obstructed justice and must be held to account by impeachment. Republicans are demanding that the federal perpetrators of the Russian “collusion delusion” be made to answer for their violations of the Constitution and the laws limiting their powers.

Beyond the partisan divide, we are witnessing the uses and abuses of one of the fundamental building-blocks of political freedom––the assertion of the citizenry’s right to call out and punish those politicians and public servants who exceed the legal limits placed on a political power that is “of the people, by the people, and for the people.”

Like free speech, term limits, and regularly elected or appointed offices, accountability reinforces the central premise of political freedom: that power is not the personal possession of individual men or women, but belongs to the community of citizens as a whole. Accountability checks and deters the innate human tendency to abuse power, and thus to weaken political freedom with tyranny: “That arbitrary power,” as Aristotle defined it, “of an individual which is responsible to no one, and governs all alike, whether equals or betters, with a view to its own advantage, not to that of its subjects, and therefore against their will. No freeman willingly endures such a government.”.......To Read More....

Too Close to Call
It often seems to me that Americans are as divided today as they were in the run-up to the Civil War. In those days the issues were states rights and slavery. These days, we are moving ever closer to the concept of nullification in which states refuse to enforce Obamacare and other federal mandates such as No Child Left Behind.  The most obvious example of the divide among voters are the elections in which a handful of votes decide the outcome. Utah on verge of passing bill demanding Feds relinquish public land
Lawmakers who want to seize control of federal lands are pushing a legal battle they insist is winnable despite multiple warnings their effort is highly unconstitutional and almost sure to fail in court. Utah is poised to become the first state to pass a package of bills that demand the federal government relinquish claims to huge sections of public land. A proposal that advanced Wednesday demands that by 2014 the federal government cede control of nearly 30 million acres -- nearly 50 percent of the entire state.

Analyst Infanticide argument shouldn't surprise
A recent report in a medical ethics journal arguing the benefits of infanticide is simply a rehash of what members of the Obama administration have advocated regarding how Obamacare should be implemented, according to the head of a group that defends the unborn. The recent paper in the Journal of Medical Ethics, titled “After-birth abortion: why should the baby live?” argued that infanticide “should be permissible in all the cases where abortion is, including cases where the newborn is not disabled” because the authors do not believe a newborn is a person.

Lawmaker calls Kinsey's research 'fraudulent'
Report cited that calls sex researcher's work no more than 'junk science'  - Controversial biologist Alfred Kinsey’s sex research again is coming under fire from lawmakers and social analysts. As usual, the mainstream press all but ignores the attacks. Some of the attacks on Kinsey recently came from Minnesota State Rep. Glenn Gruenhagen. He says his comments were made in a couple of places.  “Kinsey came up, somebody asked a question. It was about education at a forum or something. I responded that I have strong reservations about Kinsey’s research,” Gruenhagen said. “I also have brought up the fraudulent basis for Kinsey’s research at some House committee meetings,” Gruenhagen said.
