Send in the Clowns

As we've watched this farce being promoted by Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats in the House of Representatives over the January 6 issue, I couldn't help by think of Judy Collins singing Send in the Clowns.  Enjoy her presentation as you read some of lyrics below, which I cut short as that's where the song should have ended, at least for this presentation, because the clowns are there.

Don't you love farce? My fault, I fear. I thought that you'd want what I want, sorry my dear, but where are the clowns, send in the clowns.  Don't bother, they're here.............

To start out let's get this exactly right.  Of all these hundreds of protestors which ones were charged with treason, insurrection or sedition?  None.  How many of those arrested were charged with carrying firearms?  None! Were they guilty of felonies or misdemeanors?  Misdemeanors!  However, we now know prosecutors were guilty of prosecutorial misconduct, of lying to judges, and some of the people charged weren't even there.  But worst of all were the judges who are party to this "shoddy corrupt travesty " of over charging, and turning misdemeanors into felonies.

On July 29, 2021 Jeff M. Lewis published the article,  Irony, Absurdity, and Dishonesty – The Democrat Party’s Playbook saying:

Gobsmacking, as defined by a simple internet search:  Adjective, British, informal; utterly astonishing; astounding. “The hypocrisy of the man is gobsmacking”

It has been, at least for me, a gobsmacking couple of weeks. I have watched while the Democrat Party, its partisans in state-controlled media, and their ever-so-virtue-signaling but absurdly never-self-aware politicians have had just about everything they say and do “boomerang” on them and hit them square in the noggin. I cannot have been the only guy to have observed this spectacle and have been, well… gobsmacked. Please pardon me for the sarcasm inherent in the commentary, but the issues and actions presented are just over-ripe for it and are pristine targets for sarcasm and scorn.

He goes on to cite all the lunacy impacting the nation, but what he's outlined most assuredly fits this "absurd" January 6th commission organized by Pelosi and Company.

Along with all the weeping and gnashing of teeth, we have A Capitol Police Officer who’s a BLM activist?  "You bet. He was one of Pelosi’s star witnesses, too."   Apparently this "giant of a man" was traumatized because he was called a nigger.  According to him that never happened before while in uniform.  Really? I find that incredible, given that as a cop he's dealing with trash who are sorely lacking in any moral sense, let alone any sense of racial sensitivity, and the term nigger is thrown about by blacks against other blacks constantly, and in D.C. most of the criminals he dealt with were going to be black based on demographics, and crime statistics.

We do need to ask:  Is there evidence of a racial slur being thrown at him? No, and this isn't the first time this kind of charge has been thrown out by blacks.

Widburg goes on to say:

"This reminds me strongly of the Tea Party protests in 2010 when Democrats claimed that Tea Party members yelled the N-word at members of the Congressional Black Caucus.  Again, this was an event that everyone and his uncle were recording.  However, even when the late, great Andrew Breitbart offered a $10,000 reward for anyone who could prove that Tea Partiers had hurled racist insults, no one came forward to claim the money.  It almost seemed as if the whole thing was a slanderous lie.  Dunn's statement has the same feel."

But it turns out this cop is a Black Lives Matters activist.  And he's a cop?  And his testimony is all these people who killed no one, stole nothing, looting nothing, didn't set anything on fire, was the "worst mob ever in the history of America", and they were racists.  And why were they racists.  Apparently to prove they were racists he has to show a racist act, ergo, he had to come up with a racist slur.

It also turns out he "flat-out lied about fellow officer Brian Sicknick's death, claiming that protesters beat him to death.  According to the D.C. medical examiner, Sicknick died of a stroke"......And that's important why?

"Calumniam mendacem facit suspicari omnes testimonio". It's a legal concept meaning, lying testimony makes all testimony suspect, and given his political views, all of his testimony is suspect, as Tucker Carlson noted:

"Dunn will pretend to speak for the country's law enforcement community, but it turns out Dunn has very little in common with your average cop,” ........ “Dunn is an angry, left-wing political activist.”

Is he to be believed, or is he really just another angry left wing activist, or does he really represent the views of police officers nationwide, as is implied here? "

Well, the National Police Association slams Jan. 6 probe as dog and pony show,' with no intention of getting at the truth.

In an interview with Fox News on Wednesday, association spokeswoman Betsy Brantner Smith, a retired police sergeant who describes herself as a conservative, said Congress should hear from the thousands of police officers who were injured during the George Floyd riots last year.

"Myself, like millions of Americans, sat there watching the testimony thinking, ‘Wait, where are the police officers who appeared – appeared – to let some of the protesters in?" she asked. "Where is the police officer who shot Ashli Babbitt? In fact, why aren’t we talking about Ashli Babbitt? I mean there’s so much more here.

Questions that Won't be Asked by the January 6 Commission -

First, who shot Ashli Babbitt and why?  Perhaps she shouldn’t have been where she was and doing what she was doing, but she did not need to die.  The American citizen and Air Force veteran was unarmed.  Federal bureaucrats have kept the information on who shot Ashli from Babbitt’s husband, as well as from the American people, who have a right to know.  Why?

Second, did congressional leaders and other elected representatives, or their staffs, instigate the storming of the Capitol?  The fact that the security profile at the Capitol that day was woefully inadequate and National Guard troops were doing other duty and then were later denied to Capitol Police begs this question. Also, the Big Show the Democrats made afterward, and are still making with the sham commission, shows consciousness of guilt; in other words, are they trying to cover something up?

Third, why have American citizens who have been accused of only relatively minor crimes, such as trespassing, been held in jail without trial for more than six months?  Why were they roughed up initially and kept in solitary confinement, as if they were political prisoners in Cuba?  Why are their civil rights being violated? Does this mean that our Department of Justice (DoJ) has been politicized and is corrupt?

Fourth, why are American citizens from many states who attended the peaceful rally before the storming of the Capitol, being hunted down and prosecuted by the FBI?  Examples include a couple in Homer, Alaska whom the FBI raided and a DEA agent who has been persecuted.  The First Amendment protects Americans from such government abuse of power, and the civil rights of many have been violated after the Jan. 6th event.  Has our government completely forgotten its place under the Democrats?

Fifth, speaking of the FBI, why were there so many FBI agents present in the crowd in the Capitol? Some have called that a “crazy conspiracy theory” but investigative journalist Glenn Greenwald says no, it’s what the FBI does.  Was the storming of the Capitol exploited by the FBI to entrap people? Did bureaucrats and elected officials collude with the FBI? Citizens see that the FBI has been politicized and corrupted; events since 2016 prove that. Perhaps the Jan. 6th storming of the Capitol was another of their machinations to destroy Trump and his supporters.

Sixth, was the October 2020 attempt to kidnap Michigan governor Gretchen Whitmer prior to the Jan. 6th event in D.C. a dry run for the storming of the capitol?  It has come out that it was an FBI setup meant to entrap individuals.  There is a suspicious parallel between the October event in Michigan and the January event in D.C.

Seventh, what role did RINOs who hate Trump play regarding the Jan. 6th storming of the Capitol?  Were they just political opportunists or did they have some deeper role with the intention of hurting their adversaries within their own party?  Have they participated in post-event persecution of Trump supporters by the federal government?  It seems unlikely that representatives Liz Cheney and Adam Kinzinger would throw their political careers away just because of Trump derangement.  However, we have seen that Trump derangement made many people do things that made no sense.

On  July 28, 2021 Andrea Widburg posted this piece, America had its first show trial on Tuesday and it was loathsome saying:

As sobbing congressmen and Capitol Police officers took turns talking about their psychic injuries, I was alternately embarrassed for them if they were really that weak and frightened of them if they were that sociopathic as a pathway to power. .........Some of the people at the Capitol were rowdy and violent. Most were not. ..........A Capitol Police officer murdered one of those unarmed citizens, but, unlike police officers who have been involved in the deaths of violent, drugged up men engaging in crimes, his name is still secret and his record cleared.

While Antifa and BLM got a pass for their violent behavior during 2020 (and in all other years, for that matter), the FBI has been hunting January 6 people down like dogs..........kept in inhumane conditions............ overcharged with felonies....... that they are forever deprived of their right to vote or carry arms........Capitol Police officers spoke, with one of them blatantly lying.....This hearing isn't about facts; it's about narrative.

Ron Paul posted this piece, Make No Mistake, the Jan. 6 Show Trials Threaten All of Us saying:

The recent felony conviction and eight month prison sentence of Jan. 6 protester Paul Hodgkins is an affront to any notion of justice. It is a political charge and a political verdict by a political court. Every American regardless of political persuasion should be terrified of a court system so beholden to politics instead of justice. Worse than this miscarriage of justice is the despicable attempt by the prosecutor in the case to label Hodgkins – who has no criminal record and was accused of no violent crime – a terrorist.......

A group of GOP Lawmakers are demanding to know if these protesters are being treated as political prisoners saying:

“We’ve asked for an opportunity to inspect the jails. Back when I was a felony judge, I would show up outside of jails or prisons because I needed to know what kind of treatment people got in there,” he said.  He said they have been asking for meetings for months with Attorney General Merrick Garland  “And yet we’ve been denied,” he said. “They want no oversight. They don’t want to give information. And yet, there are reports of people being held and demands for admission of guilt. And they have not been shown the evidence against them. They’ve not been shown the, uh, exonerating exculpatory evidence as required by law.”

The DOJ now is part of the leftist Stygian stables of subversiveness, and are dong everything they can to destroy anyone who oppose the left.  DOJ declines to back Mo Brooks's defense against Swalwell's riot lawsuit saying:

The Department of Justice (DOJ) on Tuesday declined to back a Republican lawmaker's legal defense against a lawsuit accusing him of helping to foment the Jan. 6 Capitol riot. DOJ lawyers said in a court filing that they were declining to certify Rep. Mo Brooks's (R-Ala.) claim that he was acting within the scope of his official duties as a member of Congress when he delivered a speech to Trump supporters at the Jan. 6 "Stop the Steal" rally.

As for the media, they've been a disgrace playing fast and loose with the facts, even declaring "As hearings begin, Republicans side with the terrorists"........."insurrectionists...allies" and even calling one Republican "a saboteur".  What is a saboteur to these misfit writers on the left? Anyone "who challenges leftist hegemony"!

Coronavirus and Our Media Losers

By Rich Kozlovich

Today Thomas Lifson posted this article, It’s come to this: CNN’s Brian Stelter tweets about crawling in bed and crying over pandemic, saying:
When the going gets tough, some crawl in bed and cry, and then share their feelings with a many people as possible.
It turns out Brian Stelter, [who is Brian Stelter by the way?] felt an overwhelming desire to share with the world that he:
crawled in bed and cried for our pre-pandemic lives. Tears that had been waiting a month to escape. I wanted to share because it feels freeing to do so. Now is not a time for faux-invincibility. Journos are living this, hating this, like everyone else.
Lifson apparently thought this must be a hoax and made sure to check it out and  – yup – he crawled into bed and let his much earned tears to flow. Wow! Now that’s really....really.....wellllll…I think it best to let Lifson define this for us.
There are lots of words for such types, but none of them connote strength, much less heroism in the face of adversity………Modern journalists, no more essential to life than scripted narrative engineers dancing as puppets on strings in boxes, are inconsequential. The true American story is not built upon celebrity; but rather grit, callouses and dirty fingernails. Farmers, truck drivers, stock clerks and supermarket cashiers are essentially …dancing puppets, not so much.

Facing this reality a generation of pathetically soft and feeble sorts; lemmings from the spine-harvesting indoctrination machines that turn bone into jelly-fish membrane; collapse as they recognize just how pathetic they are. Inconsequential gnats carrying a life-skill as useful as sand in the Sahara. Desperate and yearning for someone, anyone, to reaffirm their importance, the miserable and pitiful harbingers of irrelevance cry out in a desperate quest for meaning. Please forgive my frank and direct response, but apparently someone needs to call the baby ugly.
Whew, now that's profound and provocative, I love it!

I wonder if he hugged his Teddy bear, before dropping off into a sob racking sleep?

As I read this I saw this cartoon and thought it really is appropriate to show just how clueless are these talking heads who have now assumed the mantel of medical experts telling us because of coronavirus we're doomed, doomed I tell you, and it's Trump's fault.

Not to mention we're doomed unless we adopt socialized medicine, and how we need to love that corrupt outcropping of the United Nations known as the World Health Organization.

They're geopolitical experts telling us Trump is a racist for not treating China fairly by blaming them for this virus.  Then when it turns out Trump was right, he's a fault for not doing  something about China before this.

That's the beauty of their expertise - everything is flexable - that way they're always right, and since they refuse to see or hear anything that contradicts them - they must be right.

They're now economic experts telling us we need more taxes and more spending, and debt is good. Scientific experts who've tried to convince the world Global Warming is our doom.  Pesticides are our doom. Fossil fuels are our doom. Traditional farming practices are our doom? A lack of diversity is our doom. As I said, they're flexible, except for the number one doom in their arsenal of dooms.  Re-electing Donald Trump is absolutely and definitely our doom.

Oops, there I go again.  I thought coronavirus was our doom? Well, as I said, they're flexible in all these predictions of doom, except re-electing Donald Trump or course. That's a religious tenet, and that must be embraced, right along with their Teddy bears when they cry themselves to sleep.

Not a pretty picture of the media, except for this one all important fact.  Just like the environmentalists and their unending predictions of doom, they almost have a monopoly on being wrong.

Ukraine Scandal Is About Biden

Editorial of The New York Sun | September 25, 2019

Release of the transcript of President Trump’s call with Ukraine’s new president makes one thing clear — the Democrats are focusing on the wrong guy. They’re trying to use this episode to impeach Mr. Trump. What the conversation shows, though, is that Mr. Trump was enlisting help to do exactly what he had promised to do, drain the swamp. The culprit on whom to focus is Vice President Biden.

The transcript certainly confirms that Mr. Biden was mentioned by Mr. Trump in his call with Ukraine’s new president, Volodymyr Zelensky. And that Mr. Biden’s son, Hunter, was also mentioned. This shows up on the fourth page of the five-page transcript, after the two presidents were talking about how America gives more support to Ukraine than do the Europeans........To Read More...

Gov. Jay Inslee makes a strong bid to be craziest member of the Democrats’ presidential field

July 15, 2019 By Thomas Lifson

The “clown car” that the Democrats are offering as their presidential field has some actual clowns inside. Washington State Governor Jay Inslee faces some serious competition for the title of nuttiest Democrat candidate for president, but has just made a strong bid for the trophy that ought to be named “The Bozo” and awarded in televised ceremony.

Even with Michael Avenatti and Eric Swalwell out of the race, there is still Marianne Williamson to contend with. But over the weekend at the Netroots convention, Inslee, whose platform mainly consists of economic suicide to reduce CO2 in the atmosphere, offered a truly deranged promise. Rachel Frazen reports inThe Hill:
"Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) said Saturday that if he is elected president, he will ask soccer player Megan Rapinoe to be his secretary of state". ............To Read More
My Take - I think we all owe Governor Inslee a vote of thanks.  He's stupid, but at least he's honest.  In an odd sort of way. After all, what normal person would say something like that?  And what state would elect someone that stupid?

Of course, Washington did, but California, New York and Oregon also come to mind.  Then of course, there's Illinois, a state with a penchant for throwing their Governors into jail for corruption.  And then there's Vermount, the state that keeps electing Bernie Sanders to the Senate.  Just how stupid is that?

Fiasco Captured: NY Post Sums Up The First Democratic Debates With One Solid Headline

Matt Vespa @mvespa1 Jun 29, 2019

It was a two-part debate that perfectly captured the far left lurch the Democratic Party has taken in five brief years. It was madness. We’ve gone from we cannot allow hordes of migrants flood out borders and not know who they are or where they came from to support for decriminalizing illegal border crossings. And yes, Barack Obama said the former during the 2008 election. Also, in 2008, abortion was something Democrats wanted to be safe, legal, and rare. Now, they want it to be unrestricted and taxpayer-funded. They want abortions all the way up virtually to the point of birth. It’s ..........To Read More....

The Democrat debate farce

June 28, 2019 By E. Jeffrey Ludwig

Hilarious, inconsequential, and pure bilge being passed off as serious political worldviews. The first two Democrat debates were the height of farce.

They featured hilarious, inconsequential, and pure bilge being passed off as serious political worldviews. What characterizes a farce? A farce is a literary piece that "contains highly improbable situations, stereotyped characters, violent horseplay, extravagant exaggeration."

Collinsdictionary.com suggests that "[i]f you describe a situation or event as a farce, you mean that it is so disorganized or ridiculous that you cannot take it seriously." .........It is hilarious to hear 20 persons boasting "I am the best" when their tirades and self-aggrandizement lacks substance and evidence. While laughing uproariously, we can reject them all.........To Read More

Which country are Democrats running to be president of?

June 27, 2019 By Monica Showalter

A lot of Latino voters were kind of creeped out by three of the Democratic candidates' calculated use of Spanish in their debate statements. Not only were Cory Booker, Julian Castro, and Beto O'Rourke observably poor Spanish speakers, their use of the Spanish language to appeal to the Latino voters was just a little too cute on the pandering front. And that doesn't even get into the matter of their Hugo Chavez-style socialist promises for them. For many Latino voters, been there, done that.span

I would have loved to have seen the fluently Spanish-speaking moderator test Castro, who reputedly speaks very little Spanish with a Spanish-language question. Meanwhile, the most fluent Spanish speaker on the floor, the Sandinista- and Cuban-trained Bill De Blasio, didn't join the panderfest. Maybe he didn't want anyone to ask him how he got so good at it...........

they know which country they're running to be president of? A little ethnic spice is always a welcome thing in politics, but what we are seeing here is an entire candidate base going overboard, promoting socialism and coming uncomfortably close to promoting Hugo Chavezism. Even the Americans of Latino descent are noticing and they aren't amused.

No wonder Trump is making such inroads with Latino voters. ............To Read More....

The seven funniest moments at the Democrats’ first debate

June 27, 2019 By Thomas Lifson

Last night saw the expression “clown car” gain considerable justification as a description of the Democrats’ presidential field. It was “9 candidates with no shot at anything and the tenth, the first fake Native American candidate,” in Daniel Greenfield’s apt description of the farce.

But there were moments of hilarity that punctuated the tedium, so it was not a total loss for those who subjected themselves to the entire broadcast, a marathon competition in pandering to the hard-left activists that shout the loudest on Twitter.

I confess that my secret hope of Robert F. O’Rourke jumping on top of his podium like some Iowa coffee shop counter was dashed, but the humor content was, by the standards of American political theatre, fairly impressive from the standpoint of a conservative. In descending order of laughter potential:..................
#7 Bill de Blasio goes full commie....
#6 NBC declares us a bi-lingual country, with moderator asking first-ever Spanish Language question in a US presidential debate...
#5 Warmist fanatic Jay Inslee’s non-sequitur claim that the filibuster is flooding Miami Beach....
#4 Robert F. O’Rourke randomly starts speaking Spanish with a Gringo accent (very appropriate for an Irish-American, but unhelpful in the pandering department)...
#3 Cory Booker tells us, “‘We Don’t Talk Enough About Trans Americans, Especially African American Trans Americans’...
(Editor's note: Ya gotta really love this next one. RK)
#2 Julian Castro calls for taxpayer-funded abortions for biological males who are pretending to be women. Because it’s only “justice.”...
#1 Pandering pre-emption: Cory Booker and Elizabeth Warren’s reactions when Robert F. O’Rourke randomly switches to Spanish....
