As Israel deals with a
multi-pronged Hamas-led invasion from the Gaza Strip amidst unwarranted
international pressure, Canadian writer David Solway’s scholarly collection of essays, Crossing the Jordan: On Judaism, Islam and the West,
comes as a timely reminder of how multiplicity in self-identification
is undermining Jewish unity. The book, to be released today, December
12, also addresses the idiosyncratic position of Israel among the
nations of the world, the threat to liberal Judeo-Christian values posed
by Islam, and the Left’s catalysis of the subsuming of Western culture..........
Solway asks, is Israel the only nation whose right to exist is
questioned and threatened? Why is it labeled an occupier and a
colonizer when Eretz Yisrael and Judah predate any Arab presence in the
Holy Land by more than a thousand years? Why is it the only country
that has been pressured to return captured territory after winning wars
started by Muslim neighbors who have vowed to eradicate it? Why are its
defeated enemies allowed to dictate terms of peace?.........To Read More.....
Illuminating the October 7 Massacre - By
Elise Cooper - Two books have been recently published highlighting recent atrocities against the Jews. The first, a novel,
The Paris Housekeeper by Renee Ryan, and the other a non-fiction,
War Against the Jews by Alan Dershowitz. These books are very relevant to the atrocities committed on October 7
th
by Hamas against Israeli civilians. But they also show the similarities
between what happened to the Jews during the Nazi reign and the October
7
th massacre.
How apropos that Hanukkah, the miracle of resistance, started on December 7th,
the “Day of Infamy,” when America was the victim of an unprovoked
brutal attack. As Jews around the world celebrate this festival, they
are reminded that October 7th was, quoting an Israeli official, “Israel’s Pearl Harbor.” Below is an interview with both authors about their books and the relevance to today...........
Wokism vs. American Jews -
December 11, 2023 By
Blaine L. Pardoe - The resignation of
the University of Pennsylvania’s president Liz Magill for misspeaking
before a congressional committee regarding university anti-Semitism
is further evidence that the woke movement on campus is out of control.
The presidents of Harvard and MIT should also face either suspension or
removal as well, if only for the symbolic effect such acts create. Along
with many other university leaders, they have administered a culture of
arrogance, violence, threats, and intimidation on their campuses. This
goes far beyond the three universities that went before Congress last
week. The wave of hate coming from colleges is
far from new. What makes it different is that it is getting media
exposure. Having interviewed conservative students on woke campuses, I
can assure you that the hate has been there for years. Students have
told me of being shoved, intimidated, and taunted on college campuses.
When they turned to the universities for protection, they were
dismissed, the same as Jewish students today: “These people are just
expressing their views.” The colleges and universities suddenly found
copies of the Constitution and supported the First Amendment...............
Hamas supporters are completely unhinged from logic and even reality - December 11, 2023
By
Andrea Widburg - I’ve noticed on
Facebook that, in 2022, the non-conservatives I follow obsessively
posted, “I stand with Ukraine.” However, these same people have been
remarkably silent since October 7. The single exception is the series of
posts from a woke acquaintance who is fanatically pro-Hamas because he
claims that Israel is committing genocide against the Gazastanians (a
belief he shares with his Jewish wife). When I challenged this claim, I
learned that behind a patina of rationality lay only madness. I don’t
know how it’s possible to function in the same political and social
universe as people like this..............
Hamas: Pigs at the trough who ate all the food

- Are the terrorists who attacked Israel 'Hamas' or are they just 'ham'
for short? We all know what they looked like when they surrendered to
Israel's military-fit, battle-tested troops.
Hamas hijacks aid trucks full of food for the people of Gaza and eats it itself.........
Sarcasm on: How the state of Israel successfully convinces the world the Jews are land thieves -
December 10, 2023 By
Yehuda Israel - Some
people seem awfully puzzled these days. How come international
Jew-hatred increased right in step with the holiday pogroms? They even
killed Man's Best Friend.
Where's the sympathy? Shouldn't the hate have dipped a bit, at least
politely paused until the Israeli army struck back? How odd! Is it
wokeness? What, then, of the non-woke? Well, here's another riddle for
you. Unrelated, of course, but if the shoe fits, well…
A tongue-in-cheek look at some of the most ridiculous arguments around Israel and Palestine..........
