I've tried to keep up with what CFACT is doing at COP 28 and just how insane this whole thing is. John Kerry, King Charles, and even Pope Francis have just about had fits of apoplexy with their pronouncements of doom....doom, doom, doom I tell you! Unless we abandon all forms of energy, destroy capitalism, democracy, and eat bugs instead of meat the world is going to burst into flames.
Yeah, right, it's mind boggling how even the churches have become sectarian parts of the Church of the Warming Globe, a major segment of the Church of Woke. Hmmmmmm.....does that sound like heresy to anyone besides me?
Doom in one form or another has been the theme of these green misfits since the Mother of Modern Environmentalism, AKA, the Mother of Junk Science, Rachel Carson, published her science fiction book Silent Spring. If it wasn't pesticides, it was a new Ice Age in the 70's, and now the planet will be destroyed in fire instead of ice. And why? Man is evil, and needs to be put under control of elites who know what's best for everyone. You know, kind of like an international gulag, AKA, slavery.
Ain't gonna happen folks! Here's the latest.
Dubious climate change solutions on display at COP28 - By Peter Murphy December 11th, 2023|41 Comments - Week two of the UN climate summit in Dubai is here. A climate alarmist letter initially with 800 (now 1,400) signatories from business and government, “celebrities,” faith leaders, and others was just released with familiar cliches (“we are at a tipping point”). They call for an “orderly phase-out of fossil fuels” and, by 2030, a tripling of renewable energy. How does all this occur? By the “implementation and ratcheting of Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) and National Adaptation Plans well before COP30 in 2025.” In other words, the letter is another attempted money grab, particularly from the U.S., under the guise of more NDCs stemming from the Paris Accord.
“Later is too late,” the letter concludes, which we’ve been reading for 30+ years.
Climate policies come down to coercion. They entail refusing to finance fossil fuel development in poor countries, mandating electric vehicles, blocking gas pipeline construction, and so much else. This invariably raises the cost of fossil fuels to create a “market” for alternative energy. The word “market,” which is often used, is deceitful and Orwellian since little or no market exists for so-called renewable energy, which necessitates mandates and taxpayer subsidies to force them on the public.....
The COP 28 threat to global food production - By Bonner Cohen, Ph. D.December 10th, 2023 - Aside from the usual commitments to reduce emissions (which continue to rise globally) and redistribute income (primarily from middle-to-lower earners to corrupt governments and well-heeled members of the climate cartel), attendees at UN COP28 in Dubai took a break from grazing at the many sumptuous receptions to call for farmers the world over to change their ways and practice “climate-friendly” agriculture.
Cattle, sheep, and other farm animals now stand accused of endangering the planet by producing methane. Methane is routinely cited as a “potent” greenhouse gas that must be ruthlessly suppressed. Humans are being told, in no uncertain terms, that they must reduce, and eventually eliminate, their consumption of meat. Substitutes include lab meat and, everyone’s favorite, insects.
“A U.N. report last year held that about 7 gigatons of CO2 reductions – about as much emissions from global natural-gas combustion – would have to come from people eating meat,” Allysia Finley noted in her “Life Science” column in the Wall Street Journal (Dec. 4). “Livestock production accounts for about 11% to 17% of global greenhouse-gas emissions and about 32% of the world’s methane, which is 28 times as potent as carbon dioxide. Pound for pound of protein, beef production generates nearly 18 times as much greenhouse gas — and pork, four times as much – as tofu. Blame cow burps and manure.”...............
Livestock have joined SUVs, 18-wheelers, gas stoves, and gas furnaces on the ever-growing list of climate culprits.
