They’re rich, American, live in China, and fund Hamas propaganda

You’ve probably never heard of Neville Roy Singham or his wife, Jodie Evans, nor are you aware of the company that made them rich. However, they are affecting your life and your world in profound ways. They are rich Marxists (which is an oxymoron only if you ignore that powerful Marxists always amass millions and billions) who live in China and finance anti-American and anti-Israel propaganda. I’ve been meaning to write about them for almost a week now and, with Sunday being a slow news day, I’ve finally got the space and the time.

A report from Francesca Block at The Free Press explains that most of the pro-Palestinian protests that have not-spontaneously popped up across America since October 7 have funding from a single source: 

Singham and Evans. 

It is they who, beginning in 2017, started donating to a Manhattan-based entity called The People’s Forum, which, in turn, is the moving force behind the protests. In just five years, Singham and Evans poured over $20 million in the organization which bills itself as a “movement incubator for working class and marginalized communities to build unity across historic lines of division at home and abroad.”...............But Singham and Evans aren’t just your ordinary rich leftists. My Take - I never heard of them before this either, so, here they are, and given their activity I think it's interesting they're flashing the peace sign.  But, then again, when did hypocrisy ever stand in the way of leftist's activities to destroy freedom, capitalism, justice, and America?

Evans was a Democratic Party political activist who managed the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign of former California governor Jerry Brown.^[1][2] Evans co-founded the women's anti-war activist organization Code Pink with Medea Benjamin and others.^[3] She is the board chair of the Rainforest Action Network. In 2023, The New York Times published an article detailing the connections between her husband since 2017, Neville Roy Singham, and the Chinese Communist Party, stating that Evans was critical of China's authoritarian government in 2015. Since 2017, 25% of Code Pink's funding has come from groups connected to Singham. Evans stated in 2023 that she now strongly supports China and regards it as a defender of the oppressed and a model for economic growth without slavery or war.^{[1]...............}

Leftists lack the courage of their convictions

Leftists lack the courage of their convictions, almost every time. It is easy for them to claim they hold to some beliefs, but it's something else entirely for them to have the courage to stand by such beliefs.  To take but one example, during the Vietnam War, thousands of hippies dodged the draft by moving to and living in Canada. If they truly believed their stance was right, why didn’t they stay to face the courts? It was easier for them to talk about their convictions, but something else entirely to prove them to others, the way Muhammad Ali, who also dodged the draft, did.  I disagree with everything Ali stood for. But do admire he had the courage of his convictions. He was willing to risk everything, including his career, because he truly believed Vietnam was wrong.

There are other examples, too. Environmentalists make demands of others for the sake of "saving the Earth," without giving up a single luxury. They aren’t living off the grid the way the Amish do. They would rather travel and use modern technology, since it would take true conviction to live without modern conveniences. If they had an ounce of courage, they would at least boycott the world’s biggest polluter, which is China.  And in this modern day, there are still more examples..........To Reads More...

Class—the Word We Dare Not Speak

How often during the last year of woke, have middle- and lower-class Americans listened to multimillionaires of all races and genders lecture them on their various pathologies and oppressions? 

• Million-dollar-a year university presidents virtue signal on the cheap their own sort of “unearned white privilege.” 
• Multimillionaire Meghan Markle and the Obamas, from their plush estates, indict Americans for their biases. 
• Former Black Lives Matter founder and cultural Marxist Patrisse Khan-Cullors Brignac decries the oppressive victimization she and others have suffered—from one of her four newly acquired homes. 
• Do we need another performance-art sermon on America’s innate unfairness from a Hollywood billionaire such as Beyoncé, Jay-Z, or Oprah Winfrey—or a multimillion-dollar-per year Delta Airlines or Coca-Cola CEO? 

During the 1980s cultural war, the Left’s mantra was “race, class, and gender.” Occasionally we still hear of that trifecta, but the class part has now increasingly dropped out.  The neglect of class is ironic given that dozens of recent studies conclude class differences are widening as never before....... 

States like California have bifurcated into Medieval-style societies. The state’s progressive coastal elite can boast of some of the highest incomes in the nation. But in the more conservative north and central interior nearly a third of the population lives below the poverty line, explaining why one of every three American welfare recipients lives in California. 

California’s heating and cooling, gasoline, and housing—the stuff of life—are the highest in the continental United States. Most of these spiraling costs are attributable to polices embraced by an upper-class elite—in Silicon Valley, Hollywood, and marquee universities—whose incomes shield them from the deleterious consequences of their utopian bromides. The poor and middle class have no such insulation...............

The two parties are switching class constituents. Sixty-five percent of Americans making over $500,000 are now Democrats. Seventy-four percent of those who earn under $100,000 are Republicans. Gone are the days of working people voting automatically Democratic or Republicans caricatured as a party of stockbrokers on golf courses. 

By 2018, Democrats controlled all 20 of the wealthiest congressional districts. In the recent presidential primaries and general election, 17 out of the 20 wealthiest zip codes gave money overwhelmingly to Democratic candidates. 

Increasingly, the Democrats are a bicoastal party of professional elites of corporate America, Wall Street, Silicon Valley, the media, universities, entertainment, and professional sports. All made out like bandits during 21st-century globalization. .........The wealthy leftist elite has mastered the rhetoric of ridicule for the lower middle classes, especially struggling whites. Multimillionaires Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton, and Joe Biden wrote off their political opponents as supposedly crude, superstitious, and racist, in smearing them as “clingers,” “deplorables,” irredeemables,” “dregs,” and “chumps.” 

Class is also fluid; race is immutable. So by fixating on race, the Left believes that it can divide America into permanent victimizers and victims—at a time when race and class are increasingly disconnecting.   The wealthy of all races are the loudest voices of the woke movement. Their frequent assumptions of  “victimhood” are absurd.  Americans who struggle to pay soaring gas, food, energy, and housing prices are weekly berated for their “white privilege” that is “unearned,” by an array of rich network and cable television news hosts, well-paid academics, media elite, and corporate CEOs. 

What Americans Are Up Against? Dolchstosslegende, American Style!

Dolchstosslegende refers to the post WWI German "Stab-in-the-back myth", where the German people were convinced their army didn't lose the war.  Their army was betrayed.  They were "stabbed in the back" by Jews, and the republicans who over threw the monarchy.  

That belief was very wide spread and promoted by the biggest names in Germany including Ludendorff, who was probably more responsible for the disasters inflicted on the German army than anyone.  This gave him the ability to blame others for his failures.  

The radicals, like the Nazi's and others, in order to gain power played on this.  When people are suffering, it's easy to find scapegoats for them to blame for their suffering.

The Armistice didn't end the war.  It ended the fighting.  But between the months of the signing of the Armistice and the signing of  The Treaty of Versailles, the allies continued their blockade of Germany, as a result thousands died of starvation.  Then after the Treaty of Versailles was signed, it was so punitive and crushing it created an economic disaster no nation could easily recover from.  Then the world faced the Great Depression, which made the plight of the German people ever worse. 

It's been said WWI was nothing more than a prelude to WWII as a result of all of that, and it was.  One more thing.  The German hierarchy actually did believe they could take a bite at the apple again at some point, which is why the allies made conditions of the Armistice and the Treaty so severe. 

But, when you combined all that with the economic disaster the German people were suffering, it made belief in Dolchstosslegende acceptable, and believable. 

Now America has it's own Stabbed in the Back scenario.  Only it's not a myth! It's not a conspiracy theory!  It's believable and acceptable because it's real!

As the results of this election roll out we find corruption so deep and so abiding in every institution this country has relied on from it's founding to create stability for the American civilization, we're seeing levels of corruption demonstrated beyond belief.  And if cowardice is responsible for their actions, that's corruption also.  

Public officials swear oaths to uphold the law.  Failure to do so is corruption, and may be treason, but for sure it must, under the law, be considered "High Crimes", or more accurately, crimes of high office.  Failure to uphold their oaths of office is a "high crime".

 Money flooded in from the extremely wealthy and "woke".  How Zuckerbucks Funded Biden, A flood of money from the Facebook founder gave Dems an unfair and illegal advantage. Not to mention the fact it was the "dark money" from the very wealthy that funded the ANTIFA and BLM riots.

The New Leviathan demonstrated using hard numbers that the Democrats had become the party of the rich and of corporate America and were using that power to fundamentally transform the country using their 'leviathan' of massive tax-exempt foundations. Even while pretending to be the party of the working class, their political organizations were outspending conservatives.......

The shadow network of lefty non-profits allowed Big Tech billionaires to hijack local elections with their own private armies of activists and armed foreign governments with a direct pipeline into the heart of our political system by funding think tanks and other political nonprofits.......

"And we're still fighting the dark money machine now."

What are these people thinking?  They're working to undermine and alter beyond recognition the very system that made them wealthy, not to mention a system that brought more people, from more nations, out of dystopia - poverty, suffering, squalor, disease and early death - than any system the world has ever known.  

"America is the country that's viewed  hundreds of millions around the world as the only real source of hope and inspiration. This is the reason why protesters in Hong Kong wave American, not Chinese flags. It is why, from Central America to China, families give all they have to smugglers, sometimes having to resort to selling themselves into virtual slavery to get here. Probably, half the world’s population would emigrate here right now if they had the wherewithal to do so."

Where are the long lines waiting to flee America and go to Venezuela, China, Russia, or even the EU.  But if anyone wishes to leave and go where they think it's better, we have no walls keeping them in.  

Lloyd Billingsley notes in his piece, Deep State Strike Force,The obscure Senior Executive Service deploys in force against the people:

The DOJ (Sessions, Rosenstein), FBI (Comey, Strzok), and CIA (Brennan) were all key players in the attempted coup against President Trump. He goes on to explain just how important and powerful they've become, and then asks questions about events they clearly had some say in that makes you wonder whether they're the real deep state.  

This election has demonstrated and exposed conspiracies that are real.  Conspiracies that are deadly to the American culture, the American identity, the American Economy and the Constitution.  And the conspirators are traitors.

A $3.12 Billion Suggestion for Bill Gates

Maybe I’m just a curmudgeon, but I get rather irked when rich people endorse higher taxes.
Are they trying to curry favor with politicians? Seeking some sort of favoritism from Washington (like Warren Buffett)?

Or do they genuinely think it’s a good idea to voluntarily send extra cash to the clowns in D.C. ?
I’m not sure how Bill Gates should be classified, but the billionaire is sympathetic to a wealth tax according to news reports.

Bill Gates…says he’d be ok with a tax on his assets. In an interview with Bloomberg, Gates was asked if he would support a wealth tax… Gates said he wouldn’t be opposed to such a measure… “I doubt, you know, the U.S. will do a wealth tax, but I wouldn’t be against it,” he said. …This isn’t the first time Gates has hinted at supporting a wealth tax, an idea being pushed by Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.). In February, Gates told The Verge that tax plans solely focused on income are “missing the picture,” suggesting the estate tax and taxes on capital should instead be the subject of more progressive rates.

My reaction is that Gates should lead by example.

A quick web search indicates that Gates is worth $105 billion.

Based on Warren’s proposal for a 3 percent tax on all assets about $1 billion, Gates should put his money where his mouth is and send a $3.12 billion check to Washington.
 

Or, if Gates really wanted to show his “patriotism,” he could pay back taxes on his fortune.
CNBC helpfully did the calculations.

A recent paper by two economists who helped Warren create her plan — University of California, Berkeley professors Emmanuel Saez and Gabriel Zucman — calculated what effect Warren’s plan would have had on America’s richest, including Gates, if it had been imposed starting in 1982 (the first year Forbes magazine began tracking the net worth of the 400 richest Americans) through 2018. Gates, whose fortune was tallied at $97 billion on 2018′s Forbes 400 list, would have been worth nearly two-thirds less last year — a total of only $36.4 billion — had Warren’s plan been in place for the last three decades. Gates’ current net worth is $105.3 billion, according to Forbes.

In other words, Gates could show he’s not a hypocrite by sending a check for more than $60 billion to Uncle Sam.

Because I’m a helpful guy, I’ll even direct him to the website that the federal government maintains
for the knaves and fools who think people like Donald Trump and Nancy Pelosi should have extra money to squander (my two cents is that they’re the ones with the worst incentive to use money wisely).
 

Needless to say, Gates won’t give extra money to Washington.

Just like he won’t fire the dozens (if not hundreds) of financial advisors that he surely employs to protect his income and assets from the IRS.

The bottom line is that nobody who embraces higher taxes should be taken seriously unless they show us that they’re willing to walk the walk as well as talk the talk.

Based on the behavior of Elizabeth Warren and John Kerry, don’t hold your breath waiting for that to happen.

Dem Dot Coms vs. Trump's Soldiers and Steelworkers

Politics has its style and its substance. Style requires the 2020 candidates to stump in New Hampshire diners and eat corn dogs at Iowa fairs. These stylistic rites of passage in American politics are on the verge of irrelevance as the kingmakers in California push up their primary and as the effort to eliminate the electoral college gains traction among the 2020 Democrats and, more importantly, their donors.

Forget the New Hampshire diners and Iowa corn dogs, the truth can be found if you follow the money.

The 2020 race is all about touting the democracy of small donors with a 130,000 donor threshold for the third Democrat debate. But certain zip codes keep coming up for the top Democrat candidates. The 100XX zip codes of Manhattan, the 90XXX zip codes of Los Angeles, the 94XXX zip codes of San Francisco, the 98XXX zip codes of Seattle, the 20XXX zip codes of D.C. and the 02XXX zip codes of Boston.

These are the core zip codes of the Democrat donor base. They are the pattern that recur in the campaign contributions lists of the top Democrats. And they explain the politics of the 2020 race.

Providing free health care for illegal aliens at taxpayer expense may not be very popular nationwide, but is commonplace in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Boston. Gun control is a loser nationwide, but a sure thing in the big blue cities. Even proposals to take away private health plans, allow rapists and terrorists to vote from prison, and open the border pick up more support there.

The 2020 Democrats aren’t speaking to Americans as a whole. Instead they’re addressing wealthy donors from 6 major cities, and some of their satellite areas, whose money they need to be able to buy teams, ads and consultants to help them win in places like New Hampshire and Iowa.

New York, San Francisco and Los Angeles show up in the top 5 donor cities for most of the top 2020 candidates, including Bernie Sanders, Elizabeth Warren, Kamala Harris, Cory Booker and Pete Buttigieg. Boston shows up in the top 10, not only for Bernie and Warren, but for Kamala and Buttigieg. Seattle appears in the top 10 for Bernie, Warren, and Buttigieg. Washington D.C. features in the top 10 for Bernie, Booker, Warren, Kamala, and Buttigieg. And the rest of America doesn’t really matter.

Not if you’re a Democrat.

The democracy of small donors is illusory not only by zip code, but by industry. Google isn’t the largest company in America, but, according to the Center for Responsive Politics, its employees show up on the top company contributor lists for Kamala, Sanders, Buttigieg, and, Warren. Despite Warren’s supposed threat to break up big dot coms and Sanders’ talk of going after big companies, Google employees were the top backers of both candidates.

What do they know that we don’t?

Alphabet, Google’s parent company, does employ a lot people, but its number of employees is a fraction of those employed by Home Depot, Kroger or Wal-Mart. What Google does have is an enormous concentration of wealth and power through its monopolistic control over search advertising. That power also gives its radical employees a disproportionate ability to shape the 2020 Democrat field.

Despite Warren’s supposed threats to break up big tech, their employees are some of her biggest backers. Besides Google, Microsoft, Apple and Yelp employees are some of her major backers.

Again, what do the millionaire employees of big tech know about Warren’s plans that we don’t?

Microsoft employees show up on the donor leaderboards for Bernie, Kamala, Warren, and, Buttigieg. Amazon employees are a major donor group for Bernie and Buttigieg. Pinterest, which recently made headlines for the dot com’s aggressive censorship of pro-life views, appears on Buttigieg’s donor board. Apple employees are some of the major donors to Bernie, Warren, and Kamala.

There’s no question that big tech cash is helping shape the 2020 Democrat field.

But it’s not just big tech.

Some of the biggest financial players in shaping the 2020 field are government institutions.

After Google, University of California employees are the biggest donors to both Bernie and Warren. They also show up, somewhat less surprisingly, on the donor leaderboards for Kamala Harris and Buttigieg. The prominence of California college employees on donor lists for candidates from the other side of the country shows the sheer financial wealth of taxpayer funded institutions in California.

Aside from UC, employees of Berkeley, the city, show up as one of Bernie’s major donor groups. Employees of the State of California are a major donor group to Kamala Harris, a former state official.

New York City employees are a major donor group for Bernie Sanders.

The donor list roundups show the power of alumni networking with Warren tapping into a large donor base at Harvard and Buttigieg at Notre Dame. Harvard had positioned Warren for a profile in national politics and Notre Dame had made Buttigieg a viable candidate in a city where hardly anyone seems to even bother voting. And even Cory Booker managed to tap into his old Stanford connections

University of Michigan and University of Massachusetts employees are some of Warren’s most prevalent institutional donors. University of Illinois, Michigan, and Massachusetts employees fuel Bernie. As do Stanford and Columbia University employees.

Beyond the regional geography, there is a political and industrial geography shaping the 2020 field with New York City and Berkeley employees funding the candidacy of a Vermont socialist and the employees of public and private universities (but either way heavily subsidized by taxpayers) across the country funding the rise of a Massachusetts socialist with an academic background.

By contrast, Trump is the only 2020 candidate whose top 5 donor groups don’t contain a single big data firm, but do contain employees of the United States Army and the Department of Defense. He’s also the only candidate whose top donor groups contain multiple branches of the military, the Army, Navy, and Air Force (Space Force still pending), but not a single college or FAANG tech monstrosity.

In contrast to the 2020 Dems, there isn’t a single law firm, but there are several manufacturing firms. Meanwhile not a single of the top 2020 Dems appears to have a manufacturing donor base.

The sharp contrast between Googlers and steelworkers, between professors and soldiers, draws a truer picture of the clash of cultures between the Democrats and Republicans, lefties and righties in America.

Bernie Sanders claimed that his campaign was grass roots because his average donation was $27. Bernie, a 1 percenter socialist who claims to advocate for the poor from one of his three homes, was under the impression that $27 was what poor people could donate to a political campaign.

Then President Trump raised $54 million. His average donation was four bucks.

The parts of the country are also more diverse with Milwaukee, San Antonio, Greensboro, Dallas, and Houston appearing on the list of Trump donor bases.

The 2020 election will come down to the question of whether six influential blue cities will be able to buy the election and dictate their politics to the country, whether the big tech firms and professors will be able to drown out the sailors and steelworkers, or whether the rest of the nation will be heard.

The dot coms and academics of San Francisco and Boston, the financial firms of New York and the lobbyists of Washington D.C. will pick the Democrat nominee. But will they pick the president?
