FBI Docs: Source For Federal Surveillance Of Trump Campaign Made Up "Rumors" With Drinking Buddie

By 27, 2020

The mysterious "Primary Subsource" that Christopher Steele has long hidden behind to defend his discredited Trump-Russia dossier is a former Brookings Institution analyst - Igor "Iggy" Danchenko, a Russian national whose past includes criminal convictions and other personal baggage ignored by the FBI in vetting him and the information he fed to Steele, according to congressional sources and records obtained by RealClearInvestigations. Agents continued to use the dossier as grounds to investigate President Trump and put his advisers under counter-espionage surveillance.
The 42-year-old Danchenko, who was hired by Steele in 2016 to deploy a network of sources to dig up dirt on Trump and Russia for the Hillary Clinton campaign, was arrested, jailed and convicted years earlier on multiple public drunkenness and disorderly conduct charges in the Washington area and ordered to undergo substance-abuse and mental-health counseling, according to criminal records............To Read More.....

Now we know: it was (and remains) an attempted coup

We’re as close as we’ve ever come to a constitutionally unlawful coup d’état

By Peter Barry Chowka February 17, 2019

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe’s 60 Minutes interview, airing in full on CBS tonight, is a disaster for the Deep State. His admission during his interview that he and other top FBI and Justice Department officials seriously considered taking steps including invoking the 25th Amendment to remove President Trump from office in the spring of 2017 is a blockbuster.  Thanks to his candor,

we can finally use without reservation the “C” word – for an attempted coup d’état –in describing what McCabe and other Deep State players were cooking up in secret two years ago.

Excerpts of McCabe’s damning interview were released by CBS News on Thursday. Almost immediately, a range of experts – including a few Democrats – began using the “C” word.

Thursday evening, Alan Dershowitz, emeritus professor of law at Harvard Law School and a Democrat, appeared on Fox News’s  Tucker Carlson Tonight and said about what McCabe revealed to 60 Minutes, “If true, it is clearly an attempt at a coup d’état.”

The following night, during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Dershowitz went even farther in analyzing what McCabe said about Rod Rosenstein............To Read More

My Take - The "C" word?  I would call it the "T" word.  Treason! The thing that really stick out as we've watched this story play out is the audacity of these people.  They actually believed they had the right to overturn the election by any means fair or foul.  Where did that mentality originate?  The Obama White House and the Hillary Cabal.

CBS: Andrew McCabe Says Discussions About Wiretapping Trump, Removing Him Were Serious

By Susan Jones | February 14, 2019

Conversations about Rod Rosenstein wearing a wire to secretly tape the president of the United States came up more than once and were serious, former Acting Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe told CBS's Scott Pelley.

McCabe, sitting for a "60 Minutes" interview, told Pelley that he and other officials also discussed invoking the 25th Amendment to remove Donald Trump from office.

Pelley appeared on the CBS "This Morning" news set Thursday to describe the "most illuminating and surprising thing" to emerge from his interview with McCabe:........To Read More....

My Take - Why isn't this being called what it is: Treason!  Why isn't someone being investigated, charged and tried for treason?  One thing is clear from this report and that's Sessions is an idiot and needed to be fired!

Mueller's ‘Enterprise’ Witch Hunt

By Mark Wauck December 16, 2018 4 Comments|  Email

The guidelines that govern FBI investigations are the key to understanding the Deep State's assault on the Trump administration. The FBI's Crossfire Hurricane case is a sort of "umbrella" investigation, one that subsumes investigations on given individuals, such as Carter Page. The whole issue of the precise nature of the Crossfire Hurricane investigation has arisen once again, in the context of disgraced former FBI Director James Comey's testimony last week before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI). I think it will prove helpful to revisit this topic because, as I hope to show, there are important consequences that flow from this.

What kind of investigation is Crossfire Hurricane?

Back on March 20, 2017, then FBI Director Comey testified before HPSCI regarding Russian "active measures" during the 2016 election. Chairman Nunes characterized the committee's work as concerned with Russian "active measures" during the 2016 presidential election, but the Democrats stated that it was all about "collusion" between the Trump campaign and "the Russians." In his testimony Comey confirmed for the committee that the FBI's investigation, which we now know as Crossfire Hurricane and which began in late July 2016, was concerned with "any coordination between people associated with the Trump campaign and the Russians."............

First, Mueller is not starting up a new investigation -- he's taking over an already existing investigation, the same one that was confirmed by Comey two months earlier.

Second, and very importantly, Mueller's investigation is not authorized as a general investigation into Russian "active measures" (i.e., interference, meddling) in the 2016 campaign but instead is rather narrowly focused on "coordination between people associated with the Trump campaign and the Russians." In other words, Rosenstein did not authorize Mueller to investigate coordination between people associated with the Clinton campaign and the Russians--only the Trump campaign .........To Read More.........

DiGenova: Deputy AG Rod Rosenstein 'Deserves the Guillotine'

By Michael W. Chapman | December 7, 2018

Commenting on Special Counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of alleged collusion in the 2016 campaign, legal analyst and former federal prosecutor Joe diGenova said Mueller will not charge the president with a crime -- there is no evidence Trump did anything illegal -- and that history will show this entire exercise was crafted to "frame Donald Trump for a crime he did not commit."

The "Mueller investigation is a joke, has been a joke, should be over," he said.

DiGenova, who helped prosecute attempted presidential assassin John Hinckley, added that Mueller "has played his role beautifully with the assistance" of Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, who is the "single, most fundamentally dishonest lawyer in America" and who "deserves the guillotine."............To Read More.....

Is the FBI Raiding Whistleblowers' Homes to Protect Robert Mueller?

By Daniel John Sobieski

Back on October 19, 2017, I raised the question of just how much Special Counsel Robert Mueller and Deputy A.G. Rod Rosenstein actually knew about Hillary Clinton and Uranium One, since it had been reported that the FBI was aware before the deal was approved in 2010 that Russia was engaging in criminal activity to penetrate our nuclear industry and gain access to chunks of our uranium reserves.

Earlier, in July, I called for a criminal investigation into Hillary Clinton's collusion with Russia  to turn over control of 20 percent of our uranium supplies to Russian interests in return for some $145 million in donations to the Clinton Foundation.  It turns out that there was one: an FBI investigation dating back to 2009, with current deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein and Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller up to their eyeballs in covering up evidence of Hillary's collusion, bordering on treason, with Vladimir Putin's Russia............To Read More

Reps. Meadows And Jordan Lash Out At Rosenstein For Demanding Special “Classified” Format To Testify On Capitol Hill

October 20, 2018

Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows (R-NC) and Congressman Jim Jordan (R-OH) lashed out at Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein Friday afternoon over his demands for a special format to testify next week on Capitol Hill.  House Judiciary Chairman Bob Goodlatte announced Thursday that Rosenstein will appear on Capitol Hill October 24th for a closed-door, transcribed interview.

Rosenstein is demanding the interview be private and held in a SCIF (Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility) with multiple Republican lawmakers excluded..............Rod Rosenstein declines to show up before Congress and then asks for special treatment. He wants his interview to be private, in a SCIF, with multiple members excluded.  There should be NO double standard. Show up and tell the truth under the same conditions as everyone else..........To Read More......

Former FBI lawyer: Plot to record, remove Trump not a joke

By John Solomon Opinion Contributor

Don’t tell former FBI general counsel James Baker that those now-infamous discussions about secretly recording and using the tapes to remove him from office were a joke.  He apparently doesn’t believe it. And he held quite the vantage point — he was on the inside of the bureau’s leadership in May 2017, when the discussions occurred.

Baker told Congress last week that his boss — then-acting FBI Director Andrew McCabe was dead serious about the idea of surreptitiously recording the 45th president and using the evidence to make the case that Trump should be removed from office, according to my sources.

Baker told lawmakers he wasn’t in the meeting McCabe had with Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein in which the subject came up. But he did have firsthand conversations with McCabe and the FBI lawyer assigned to McCabe, Lisa Page, about the issue.

“As far as Baker was concerned, this was a real plan being discussed,” said a source directly familiar with the congressional investigation. “It was no laughing matter for the FBI.”

Word of Baker’s testimony surfaced just days before Rosenstein was set to be interviewed in private on Thursday by House Judiciary Committee lawmakers..........To Read More.....

GOP pols slam Rosenstein, say staff 'shaking' in fear over 'threats'

By Adam Shaw Fox News June 13, 2018

GOP lawmakers accused the Justice Department of intimidation on the heels of a Fox News report that Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein once threatened to "subpoena" House committee members, with one lawmaker now claiming staffers have been left "physically shaking" over Rosenstein's tactics. Fox News' Catherine Herridge reported Tuesday on emails that described a tense closed-door meeting in January. Written by commitee staffers, they said Rosenstein threatened to subpoena emails, phone records and other documents from lawmakers and aides on the House Intelligence Committee -- in response to inquiries regarding the Russia probe........Continue Reading.....

Is Mueller Going to Investigate Washington, Jefferson and Jackson, Too?

By Hans von Spakovsky | May 9, 2018

Those who claim that President Donald Trump is guilty of obstructing justice because he fired James Comey or because he asked Comey if he could go easy on Michael Flynn are way off base. And so is Robert Mueller if he is actually conducting such an investigation.

What none of these critics seem to understand is that under our Constitution, the executive power of the federal government is fully vested in the president. That includes the responsibility to ensure that “the Laws be faithfully executed.”

In other words, the president is the chief law enforcement officer of the United States, not the attorney general or any of the other lawyers who work inside the Department of Justice, including special counsels appointed under Department of Justice regulations.

The doctrine of prosecutorial discretion, long recognized by the courts, holds that government prosecutors have almost unlimited authority to decide whether or not the facts and circumstances of a particular case warrant the opening of a criminal investigation and the prosecution of any individual.

Thus, the ultimate authority to decide whether to conduct an investigation and prosecution under federal law rests with the president. It doesn’t rest with Attorney General Jeff Sessions, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein, or special counsel Robert Mueller. ...........To Read More.......

Rosenstein -- Agent of the Deep State Coup

By Daniel John Sobieski January 30, 2018

The confirmation of Rod Rosenstein to be Deputy Attorney General by a lopsided 94-6 vote should have set off warning bells. It is odd that a Trump nominee would get much Democratic support, if any. But his role in appointing his buddy Robert Mueller to lead a bogus Russian collusion probe and his history of looking the other way when Hillary Clinton is involved shows the Democrats had high hopes for Rosenstein, hopes realized by actions documented in the four-page House Intelligence Committee memo:

A secret, highly contentious Republican memo reveals that Deputy Attorney General Rod J. Rosenstein approved an application to extend surveillance of a former Trump campaign associate shortly after taking office last spring, according to three people familiar with it.

The renewal shows that the Justice Department under President Trump saw reason to believe that the associate, Carter Page, was acting as a Russian agent…

The memo’s primary contention is that F.B.I. and Justice Department officials failed to adequately explain to an intelligence court judge in initially seeking a warrant for surveillance of Mr. Page that they were relying in part on research by an investigator, Christopher Steele, that had been financed by the Democratic National Committee and Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign ........To Read More....

My Take - Once again we see massive corruption and criminal activity by the intelligence and law enforcement agencies of the nation in cooperation with the Democrat Party.  Someone needs to be charged and prosecuted from the FBI and the Justice Department.  Then maybe that will start the ball rolling to go after the IRS, EPA, and all the other over reaching out of control agencies, but someone needs to start doing it soon.

Robert Mueller and the Sorcerer’s Apprentice

John M. Ellis

Did President Trump have a right to be annoyed with Jeff Sessions for recusing himself? A plausible case can be made that Sessions didn’t have to do it, but then there’s an equally plausible case that he did. The real grounds for criticizing Sessions lie elsewhere: once he decided that he would need to recuse himself, Sessions had a duty to make sure that a replacement was on hand who was up to the task that Sessions had sidestepped. That he did not do. Rod Rosenstein has made one grievous mistake after another, with no end in sight............More
