Points To Ponder

By Rich Kozlovich

As I sit in my seat in the back row watching the world go by I see comments and events that are profound, provocative, humorous, and even idiotic. But... that's life... and I think worth pondering.   Just a bit anyway.

Talk show host Larry King once observed what amazes him about UFO's is they never seem to land at the White House.  They land at Laramie, Wyoming.  Thirty miles out, where they're seen by on farmer.   Another post asked if CNN existed in 1967 would they have called the arrest of Charles Manson a police kidnapping of a peaceful protestor?

Elon Musk names his child X Æ A-Xii? Along with three others named, Nevada, Saxon, and get these two names, Exa Dark Sideræl, Techno Mechanicus.  If there was ever any evidence of interstellar aliens on the planet, he's it. And would clearly qualify as their ambassador.  There's something seriously wrong with this guy. As for the women who've married and/or bared his children; they must have a screw loose.

I'm retired, and 79, and just found out a lifelong friend has just passed, which is becoming a common occurrence in my life, and should bring a certain perspective to our lives.  I used to say if you can get someone to pay you to do something you'd do for free, it's not a job. After I retired I realized anything that "required" me to do something ...anything.... it was a job.

We work in order to survive and provide food, clothing, and shelter for our families. Hopefully we will have at some point earned enough to not have to work and get a paycheck. When that happens, and we're getting old, it's time to hang it up and start expanding our horizons, do other things that are enjoyable, enjoy time with the family, especially the grand children.

Time is short, so don't waste it on a job, no matter how much you enjoy that job, it's still a job, and takes you away from the really important stuff in life.

A few years ago Sotheby's announced the auction of a bottle Macallan Adami 1926, a Scotch whisky that spent 60 years aging in sherry casks, and since there were only 40 bottles left in the world, they estimated it might go for 1.5 million dollars.

I've never understood this. The idea of why anyone would spend a million bucks on a bottle of hooch. But once that's done, then, there are three options.

  1. Never open it as an investment, but if you can afford to spend a million bucks on hooch, the investment argument seems weak to me.
  2. Use it to show off. They need a bottle of hooch to make them seem like they're something special?  Remarkable!
  3.  Drink it. But I don't understand how any hooch, no matter the taste, can be worth a million bucks.

Conclusion. They're nuts.

Kamala Harris says she's not done yet, and she lost the election to Trump because she was playing three dimensional chess during the last election..  Don't ask, I didn't understand that either. She's telling potential donors she's in for the 2028 election.  She wasted over a billion dollars, and even ran up a campaign debt, so for her to believe she's gonna be the 2028 Democrat candidate is evidence her stupidity is only exceeded by her ego and arrogance.  Is there any sane person who actually believes there's any evidence she's smart, competent and a winner?    If so, please share that information with the world... Kamala would appreciate it.

I can't golf any longer, but I did love the game.  Golf is the greatest game in the world, and is a test of personal character.  Integrity in keeping score is almost sacrosanct, and is not be easily forgiven, at least at the pro level.   I used to play regularly with a group of friends, some of whom cheated.  We knew they cheated, and we didn't much care.  When they would declare their score our group would just look at each other, shake our heads, roll our eyes, and laugh, because we really didn't much care, we just loved being out there.  But we also knew that was a character pattern that plays out in real life also.  Golf brings out the character in people.

Secretary of Defense Hegseth is purging the military of a lot of high ranking officers who support all the leftist nonsense that's destroying the military.  When you see this kind of stuff you have to wonder how does someone that stupid become a high ranking officer.

Well, I have the answer.

About 15 years ago while in Washington on my industry's trade association legislative day one of my companions, who had been a graduate of the Air Force Academy many years back, told us one of the dumbest guys in his class made the Air Force a career was now a two star general.  I can say honestly from my personal experience in the service, butt kissing and brown nosing is far more important than smarts when it comes to promotions in the military.

The fact is the two groups everyone assumes are real leaders, aren't. If a junior military officers tells the higher ranks they're all wrong and can prove it, I'll show you an career junior officer.  Show me a Ph.D. candidate telling the Ph.D's. during his oral dissertations they're views are all wrong, and proves it, and I will show you a career Masters degree academic.

They learn very early on they have to go along to get along to get what they want, until that pattern of thinking becomes intrinsic to their character, removing any vestige of a backbone.

Points to Ponder

If you were to look at a liberal from before 1960 they would look moderately conservative. If you look at a liberal today, you'll see a lunatic.

Snark and Satire: Points to Ponder

By Rich Kozlovich

Voters around the country said they voted to raise taxes on property owners, not renters, and are outraged their rent went up.

Americans are left with a nasty choice between the Republicans, who are seriously flawed, and the other side which is completely insane. What could possibly go wrong?

There’s a lot of talk about OAC’s intelligence.  One cartoon said she would only use lower case letters in her efforts to fight capitalism, and since her TV says “built in antenna” she thinks nothing is being made in America.

Justine Crockett is outraged Donald Trump didn't know Liberians spoke English.  Didn't he know Liberians are the smartest people in the world surrounding by all those "libery" books?

Bernie would be more than happy to give you the shirt off someone else’s back.

If you believe all the things the Democrats are saying it’s like a flock of sheep believing a lion saying he'd become a vegetarian if he's elected to lead the flock.

What is the traditional response by Democrats to anything conservatives promote?  We're all gonna die.  Tax cuts? We're all gonna die.  Reducing the size of government.  We're all gonna die. Global warming, We're all gonna die. Global cooling.  We're all gonna die. Ending alternative energy.  We're all gonna die. Deporting illegal aliens.  We're all gonna die.  Arresting criminals.  We're all gonna die. See, consistency!

Gavin Newsom is clear that Trump is clueless regarding two things.  Growing marijuana is vital to his state’s economy, and it can’t be sustained without child labor.  He’s also adamant he will not stand silently by as Trump fixes California.  That would destroy “our” democracy.  What do Democrats believe is essential to saving “our” democracy?  Put Trump in prison, rid the nation of MAGA supporters, dump the electoral college, stack the Supreme Court, ban Voter ID, and censor free speech.  Now, who can find anything undemocratic about that?

Everyone seems to be mad at the Democrats these days.  The Iranians are upset as it appears the Democrats told them Trump is a big chicken, and he would back down.

I think the Muslims in America who are demanding Sharia law should be accommodated.  Send them back to the countries from which they migrated.

If release of the Epstein client list would put a lot of members of Congress in prison, would that be acceptable?  Yes!

What's the goal of the Pravda media?  Convince everyone that the views of 10% of the nation are the views of 80% of the nation.  And you wonder why the Pravda media is dying?

Protestors who want to make Mexico Great Again, while rioting and waving the Mexican flag, here in America, and telling the world how bad America is, are really upset when they’re being deported claiming it’s unfair and their lives are being ruined.

Seven Points to Ponder

By Rich Kozlovich

  1. If transgender women could get periods, it would end this ridiculous movement in 28 days.
  2. Liberal asks, “If you home school your children, how will they know they are trans?”
  3. On December 8, 1903, the New York Times article: “Man Won’t Fly for a Million Years.” Nine days later, the Wright Brothers flew their plane.
  4. President Reagan destroyed the Soviet Union and President Trump destroyed the Democrat Party.
  5. They say money can’t buy happiness but I’m accepting donations to test that theory.
  6. New reality dating show announced: Liberal feminist women who want to “free Palestine” are sent to live with a Muslim man in the Middle East for six months.
  7. Anything seems possible if you don’t know what you’re talking about.

Points to Ponder

By Rich Kozlovich

There was a series of sarcastic/satirical cartoons I saved for use, but I can no longer replicate them.   I used to save them to my pictures file, and then transfer them to P&D, but Google, which owns Blogger, will no longer allow that unless I give them access to all my cookies.  As one commenter noted:

Since when has acceptance of 3rd party cookies been required for file access? I use Blogspot and have used it for quite some time. This evening suddenly I am required to allow third party cookies in order to access my files (photos to add to posts).

Well, that's just ain't gonna happen, ergo, I'm posting the content, with a bit if paraphrasing.  So, let's start with - who are the real criminals?  How about:

  1. Elected and/or appointed government officials who break the law and then claim they have immunity.
  2. When the government starts passing laws that break other laws.
  3. Judges and prosecutors who praise criminals and turn them loose to prey on society.
  4. Elected and/or appointed government officials who encourage criminal behavior.
  5. A laptop from hell, tax evasion, two tier justice, shake downs and sweet heart deals, all of which involve a sitting President.

Then perhaps it’s time to admit we’re being governed by the real criminals, who should be subject to RICO investigations?

No oppressor operates alone because no oppressor can be so strong they can oppress everyone unless their are accomplices among the oppressed. The problem isn’t that leftists are unethical, corrupt, criminal, lying dirt bags, everyone knows that. The problem is their supporters don’t care.

Take for example all those boxes of ballots they keep finding.  Why is it we never seem to find boxes filled with missing Republican ballots?   Why is it there are so many missing boxes in the first place.  How do so many boxes of ballots get lost in the first place, and all over the nation?  Well, I know the answer.  They're were never lost, they never existed in the first place?

Well, I have the answer.  They were replicated and beamed down my Mr. Scott of the Enterprise.  It turns out Scotty is a Democrat, so he only beams down replicated boxes with Democrat votes.

Nah, that's all science fiction, just like all those "found" Democrat ballots.

It’s amazing it was possible to find illegal aliens in order to send them government checks, but no one seem to be able to find them in order to send them back to their country of origin, at least until now.

It turns out Kim Jong Un, the dictatorial man-god oppressor of N. Korea, was all in the dumps when Biden was President, but is much happier now that Trump is President.  You see, it's been his life goal to destroy America, and Joe Biden was beating him to it, so now he's back on track.

When Hillary called Trump an illegitimate President she was called courageous. When Trump called Biden an illegitimate President he was called treasonous.   When Trump won his second term then Joe Biden called Trump an illegitimate President and when Karine Jean-Pierre claimed it was stolen, they were called inspirational.   Remarkable!

During the "pandemic" Trump was quarantined with Melania.  Bill Clinton was quarantined with Hillary.  Bill's comment?  Thanks, now she's home all day.   I'm gonna take a shot in the dark here and say, Trump won!

So, is it true that during the creation of the Constitution it was made clear none of the rights listed therein counted if anyone was sick?  No!  Really?  Isn't that special.  It turns out America didn't like all that pandemic socialist tyranny, but Bernie said that's not real socialism.  The body count is way too low.   AOC was upset the pandemic would make it impossible for the homeless people to pay their mortgages.

The Democrats say if they can't have power you can't have peace.   Like the kind they delivered to the cities in Democrat controlled  states, like Seattle, Portland, and Milwaukee.  But all of that was mostly peaceful "riots" with billions in damage, rapes, murders and violence in general.

Now, does anyone besides me think that's a truly interesting concept of peace?

Points to Ponder

 By Rich Kozlovich

How did Hamas get control of Gaza?  In 2005, Prime Minister Ariel Sharon, who was Israel's Prime Minister then, embraced leftist dogma about getting along with Muslims, which has failed over and over again, but he thought it would be a great idea to just give Gaza over to the Muslims and even provide necessary services for them they could not and would not provide for themselves, that way Muslims wouldn't hate Israel, and the world praised him.

It's clear the man either never read a history book or didn't believe history mattered.  Well, it does.  Hamas was an Islamic genocidal movement, it has always been such, and the people of Gaza like their genocidal insanity as they demonstrated by dancing through the streets as the coffins of innocent children who were hostages of Hamas were paraded before them.

Giving Muslims Gaza and the West Bank was in effect a practical application of the Two State solution. It was stupid then, it’s stupid now, and will always be stupid. Israel should take the example of Jordan and other Arab states who kick all the “Palestinians’ out, and tell the UN, the EU nitwits, American leftists, Jewish leftists, in and out of Israel, and the rest of the world to shove it.

After the Reconquista of Spain the first ones they kicked out were the Jews. Sephardic Jews who were well assimilated, but they thought the Muslims would adjust and all would be just fine and dandy. They were wrong, and had to kick all the Muslims out of Spain. They were Muslims and Muslims will always be Muslims, and assimilation isn’t an Islamic concept, domination however is.

Now Spain seems to have forgotten their history and are allowing Muslims to pour in, almost uncontrolled, and guess what, they’re acting like …. Muslims …… as Muslims have acted for almost 1500 years.

As for these EU nitwits, Does the European Union actually think radical Muslims will reform themselves?  Which means rejecting the foundational philosophy if Islam, jihad.  It they do that, they're not Muslims, they're heretics, and the Koran demands death to heretics.  If the EU wishes to commit suicide, well, I really don’t care since Europe is a spent force, and the EU is doomed anyway, but they need to stop demanding Israel commit suicide.

Definition leads to clarity, and it boggles my mind how people play with words to alter reality. I've read recently how Trump's cabinet needs to stand up to Trump, as it's an advisory board to the President.  Let's try and get this right once... just once.. please.  While cabinet member may make suggestions and give advice, their job as cabinet members isn’t to be an advisory board, it’s a management team whose job is to salute, say yes sir, and carry out the instructions of the President of the United States. If they can’t live with that, then they need to find other employment.

I keep reading about this new Golden Age that's coming as a result of tariffs and trade agreements, all of which I think are necessary, and beneficial to America, but there will be no golden age. I've read three books on historical cycles, all hard drudging, since they all have their own terminologies and time frames.  If there ever was a subject that needs a formalized academic disciple, that's it.

But the one thing all the books dealing with historical cycles agree on is we’re in an end cycle, which entails huge economic downturns, and violence. Unlike many of the world’s nations America will survive intact for six reasons. We can feed ourselves, fuel ourselves, arm ourselves, defend ourselves, create our own internal market, and pay off our national debt.

The rest of the world cannot meet all of those six basic necessities to remain stable.  They're taxing, spending, over regulation, national debt, and immigration will kill Europe.  As this end cycle progresses there will be a lot of restructuring before the beginning of a new historical cycle, but Europe as we know it will no longer exist, and who knows what direction that will take.

The world's leaders are divided into two groups. The Winston Churchill’s, and the Neville Chamberlain’s. Everyone loves the Chamberlain’s, they go along to get along guys, and everyone hates the Churchill’s, who just can’t seem to get along. At least until the go along to get along crowd’s failure to deal with what’s going wrong hits the fan.

Then, all of a sudden, they discover they need a Winston Churchill to be the answer, and they hate it, and they hate him.   And no matter how successful a Churchill may be, they just can’t stop shooting arrows at the Churchill’s, which in America's case right now involves Donald Trump and Elon Musk.

Why?

Neither Trump or Musk is one of them, and the only thing they excel at is criticism, not problem solving. Adam Schiff epitomizes that quality. Go along to get along elitism is a human physiological disorder that’s plagued humanity throughout history, and it’s always going to be with us. Most leaders aren’t leaders, they’re managers who organize the direction everyone wants to go, no matter how foolish that may be.

A leader stands up and says…. You’re all wrong, and I’m gonna tell you why! And if or when that person gets a leadership role, they act accordingly. If they’re successful, they’re hated all the more. No matter what you may read, that explains everything. How insane is that?

Points to Ponder

By Rich Kozlovich

Gary Varvel for Aug 12, 2022

The world is moving in so many odd directions that creates some static electricity.  And, I've find there are those who have some interesting humorous responses to the static, which appeared in Robin Itzler's weekly newsletter Patriot Neighbors.   E-mail her to get on her list, it's free, at PatriotNeighbors@yahoo.com

I've taken some of those comments and expanded on them with my own take on it all, including adding some cartoons to really get a feel of the insanity going on.

First, an easy way for the FBI to label you an extremist is go to church, and more so if you're Catholic who prefers the mass in Latin.  A place where a President pretending to be Catholic, along with a former Speaker of the House who pretends to be Catholic, who can both meet a Pope pretending to be Catholic.   You just gotta hand it to those FBI boys, they know extremism when they see it?

Getting old has some universality.  As an example, what inspires me to get out of bed every morning most of the time is my bladder. Usually twice more before it's time to actually get up.   Also, as you retire, and you age, you're no longer interacting very much with people you've known for many years of your life.  So, at times you may feel like no one is there for you.   But you know who’s always there for you?  Paying bills, cooking, cleaning, washing dishes, cutting the grass, and laundry.  Laundry will always be there for you, right along with the urinal.  Oh yeah,  and gardens.   That may not sound like much, but there's an upside to that.  You can talk to yourself while attending to all that and never hear a discouraging word.

Gary Varvel | Facebook
We keep seeing people holding Biden's arm keeping him from going off to......wellll....who knows where he thinks he's going!  But just once, can’t someone let Joe Biden wander off?

The Democrats are really hot about all this gun violence and want it stopped, so then why don't Democrats stop shooting people?  If Democrats stop shooting people, gun violence would drop by 90%.

;

Cutting off your penis doesn’t make you a woman. It just makes you a guy who has irreparably mutilated himself by cutting off his penis.   There’s not a wide range of genders. There are TWO genders and a wide range of mental illness disorders.

Does anyone ever ask why is it drag queens only read books to little children?  And why don’t they read to seniors in nursing homes?

Only Democrats believe that electricity used for air conditioning harms the planet, but electricity used for a Tesla does not, and that men can get pregnant.  Especially Biden appointees to the federal judiciary.   Does anyone think that's just a bit odd?

Two Harvard graduates were sitting on a bench talking one early evening while holding their pro-Hamas signs. “Which do you think is farther away, Florida or the moon?” The other quickly answered, “Of course Florida is farthest away. We can see the moon from here, but we can’t see Florida!”

Did anyone really say that?  Normally I would scoff and say no!  But if they graduated from Harvard, maybe we shouldn't scoff so easily.

Sure, it’s pretty clear Joe Biden has no idea what the Constitution really says or means, but do we really believe re-electing Job Biden will be akin to the Titanic hitting another iceberg?

Come on man, he can eat an ice cream cone in less that 15 minutes, and without a monitor for instructions.   How much evidence do you need that he's fit to be President for another four years?   His doctor says he's just fine, and didn't need a cognitive ability test.  Oh, I know there’s a lot of talk about Biden’s cognitive decline,   but even it it’s true, does it really matter?

We still have Garland, Blinken, and the rest of the administrative and deep state to keep things running. Right? So, what could possibly go wrong?

Points to Ponder

Progressives are by their very nature contemptuous of the natural order of things.  Everything can be improved by their superior intellects.  By virtue of the purity of their motives and the advanced understanding we have these days, they can impose policies that violate human nature and, they think, prevail.  The Marxists are explicit in their promise that communism will create a "new man" (now updated to read "new person").  Self-interest would no longer operate in the communist utopia that would follow the supposedly transitory period of "dictatorship of the proletariat."  "From each according to his abilities, to each according to his needs."  Never mind who chose to lay about and who chose to work hard...

Of course, human nature being immutable, the "vanguard" in charge of the "dictatorship of the proletariat" in every single communist country has always held onto its own power and privileges and led societies where the gap between the lives of the elite and the masses dwarfed that of any capitalist system.  Trying to change human nature — or any other aspect of the natural order (see, for example, Lysenkoism) — inevitably produces outcomes that are at best hilarious and at worst, catastrophic - Thomas Lifson October 2, 2021 Saturday schadenfreude: Prog thinks she can change nature, suddenly (and hilariously) discovers she can't

Biden insists that 97%-98% of the population must be vaccinated to end the COVID risk. However, as it seems possible that mass vaccination is a trigger for aggressive new variants, one can’t help thinking that he wishes to propagate the virus going forward to the midterm 2022 elections and beyond. That would explain why Biden and his CDC director, Dr. Rochelle Walensky, of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, have overruled the CDC’s own advisory panel of experts’ recommendation against booster shots, further politicizing an already fraught issue: Forcing a gene therapy agent onto Americans............

On a personal note, the FDA has failed in its mandate to protect the public. As a retired medical device design and project engineer, I can tell you that the sheer number of deaths and adverse reactions (which may run to the thousands domestically, with this just the latest example) should be unacceptable. Apparently, the FDA has become a tool of the DNC and its silence is deafening about vaccine safety. The only bright spot was the CDC advisory panel’s sober recommendation about boosters, which its Director promptly ignored.

The FDA has an obligation to safeguard the public and it’s failing in that duty considering that the fully vaccinated are contracting COVID as a breakthrough illness in too many cases. We have cheap and effective therapeutic drug therapies that have been proven to defeat this virus, though we are denied their use. Decisions about therapeutic drugs should be between ourselves and our physicians, free from government interference and the creeping tyranny of the DNC.

Why, are we only given an ineffective so-called genetic vaccine; in a vaccinate or nothing proposition, instead of proven treatment? And why does Biden seem determined to make 98% of the country guinea pigs for a leaky vaccine and endless boosters?

Remember Afghanistan. God help us. - Alan Halbert

Whether it is anti-vaccine content or politically incorrect discourse, free speech is under heavy attack in America. Take the case of philosopher and pedagogist Peter Boghossian, a Portland State University professor who recently resigned from his position in a searing open letter in which he accused the administration of fostering an environment hostile to intellectual inquiry and dissent.  “Students at Portland State are not being taught to think. Rather, they are being trained to mimic the moral certainty of ideologues,” he wrote. “Faculty and administrators have abdicated the university’s truth-seeking mission and instead drive intolerance of divergent beliefs and opinions. This has created a culture of offense where students are now afraid to speak openly and honestly.” You might say he’s reinventing the wheel -- well, right, but Boghossian is a liberal, a liberal who points the finger at the illiberal university. In his resignation letter, he claimed that when he tried to speak out against harmful “illiberalism,” he faced intense reprisal. “The more I spoke out about these issues, the more retaliation I faced,” he wrote. Is it a sign that enough is enough?

Diligent disciples of postmodern philosophers of the Frankfurt school and Italian Marxist theoretician Antonio Gramsci, who laid the foundation for the left’s slow takeover of the culture, leftists successfully infiltrated schools, religion, art, entertainment, the family, and, what is more, the language. Knowles’s subtitle, after all, speaks volumes: controlling words means controlling minds. What college campuses have become -- centers for leftist indoctrination -- is proof that there is a semantic context in which the game’s already lost before it starts, regardless of one’s personal feelings and beliefs. It was the leftists who won the game of semantics, and therefore, says Knowles, it is they who can set the terms and premises of any debate, especially those within elites and other important segments of public opinion and decision-making segments, and thereby win every time. If this isn’t a fight to the death, I don’t know what it is. -  S.R. Piccoli October 3, 2021 The Left and the Control of Meaning

A thousand-piece puzzle spread out on the dining room table is easier to put together than the testimony from our top military and civilian leadership regarding America’s withdrawal from Afghanistan. One of the Generals slouched his way through the hearing. Another General was defensive about improper negative interviews he gave regarding his former boss. The Secretary of Defense shifted blame for the whole thing to others and then dodged responsibility for cleaning up the mess he was partly responsible for creating. This is our top military leadership?

When one is faced with a thousand-piece puzzle, one starts by finding the straight edges. The puzzle has a border. What is the ‘border’ for these witnesses? The border is what our Constitution provides.  If this has the ring of ‘too many cooks in the kitchen’ it is because there are a lot of cooks in the kitchen regarding the War in Afghanistan.........Their ineptitude has cost many innocent lives. How our country is left with ‘woke’ versus ‘warrior’ in our military leadership may be partly explained by Obama’s military purges.

Isolating one issue at a time, gathering facts on the issue, and then drawing logical conclusions is part of the citizen evaluative process so important in our Republic. The Congressional hearings were very informative. By design, 1000 pieces of our national puzzle are now thrown to the public in the form of one disaster after another to encourage citizens to throw up their hands and give up on determining causation and accountability. The People are the Sovereign, however, and must judge performance to determine who is to represent them.  Eventually, as each piece of the puzzle is painstakingly put together, and action steps demanded by the public at each stage, the whole picture will be seen. What picture might this turn out to be?  The Swamp. - By M. E. Boyd October 3, 2021 The puzzling oversight hearings regarding the withdrawal from Afghanistan

Throughout the history of civilization, people have been dreaming of a perfect world -- full employment, full satisfaction of material and intellectual needs, and equal distribution of wealth -- only to discover, to their disappointment, that this utopian system does not exist on this side of the grave.  Nevertheless, the illusory ideas of economic equality transcend time and appeal to people of all colors and races. If the supporters of economic equality, including Marxist graduates of American universities, absorb human history, they may realize that the only historical datum that points to economic equality goes back to the era of primitive communism. Ten thousand years ago, before farming, people were forced to obtain food collectively. Everything that was produced was immediately consumed. This primitive society produced no surplus and created no wealth. Under such arrangement, the private property was limited to personal articles of clothing, hunting tools, etc. resulting in total economic equality -- in absolute poverty. Ironically, this is the only way economic equality can be achieved -- economic equality and wealth are mutually exclusive.

Inspired by human’s inherent desire for well-being and passion to extricate himself from misery, wealth creation became the locomotive of economic growth. Capitalism stands out as the greatest wealth generator and distributor that has created more wealth during the last 250 years than all preceding civilizations combined in 7,000 years.  Aristotle observed this phenomenon 2,400 years ago when he concluded that, "The worst form of inequality is to make unequal things equal."

During the 20th century, almost as if in accordance to some natural law, socialism marched triumphantly around the globe with intellectual and moral impetus to shape the world in compliance with its values. However, by the end of the century in most socialist countries, redistribution of wealth had reached the end of its potential, egalitarian values gradually eroded and socialist economies spectacularly collapsed.

The proponents of economic equality failed to recognize the immutable fact -- freedom enables people to use their ingenuity to generate wealth, whereas coerced economic equality suppresses the very freedom required to innovate and begets poverty. The greatest moral injustice is an attempt to regulate (control) wealth by the people of limited abilities who are seeking to satisfy their unlimited needs under the banner of self-serving definitions of justice and fairness.  But no lessons of history will dampen the magic of equality’s divine providence. To sell the ideology, the American socialists insist they have no intention of creating an egalitarian society; they just want to reduce the gap between rich and poor which they failed to define in commensurable terms. As long as there is a gap, the socialists will carry their convictions toward the ultimate objective -- making all of us, who are unequally rich, equally poor.

The embracement of the malignant ideology, which signifies the total inversion of American historical traditions and values, demonstrates the magnitude of America’s psychological and political demoralization. The country is no longer having the self-confidence to define its choices. In retrospect, Marxism would never take root in America if great statesmen of earlier times that aspired to equality in liberty had not completely died out and replaced by leaders of lesser wisdom who pursue equality in perpetual human misery.Alexander G. Yes, the Kamala cackle is incredibly annoying. The Democrats briefly thought that maybe, just maybe Kamala Harris would grow out of her repulsiveness and somehow rescue them from the doom that Joe Biden's deteriorating mental faculties portend for the party (and, incidentally, the nation).  Four days ago, The Hill optimistically headlined, "Democrats see Harris as major player in midterms," to which many conservatives (including me) reacted with the Dirty Harry catchphrase, "Go ahead, make my day."  She hasn't been subjected to "the lid" the way Biden is when he loses all lucidity, but when it comes to Kamala's visibility and popularity, Mies van der Rohe's axiom on modernist architecture applies: "Less is more."

That strategy unexpectedly fell apart when she made what was intended to be an uncontroversial visit to George Mason University to discuss "voting rights," which in DemSpeak means offering maximum opportunities for vote fraud.  It should have been a safe topic for her.  Lots of canned phrases such as "voter suppression" and students at a second-tier state university shouldn't be expected to pose really difficult questions. - Thomas Lifson October 2, 2021 When Kamala forgets to cackle under stress…

It is tragic for the individual, family, and loved ones of an elderly person suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's.  It is a disaster for our nation if it is our president.  Is President Biden suffering from a disease that is robbing him of his cognitive abilities? President Biden's longtime personal physician and now White House physician, Dr. Kevin O'Connor, has either not performed or not released the results of a cognitive test.  President Biden's staff shield him from view, and the media continue to protect the president from scrutiny.  Since the media have not explored the cognitive abilities of the president, we will do it by comparing the CDC's "10 Warning Signs of Alzheimer's" to President Biden's behavior..........If President Biden is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, why hasn't Congress acted in removing the president in accordance with Amendment XXV of the Constitution?  It may be that the Democrat leaders in the House and Senate know they need a weakened president to enact their legacy legislation and believe they can continue to  control of the federal government with Biden in the role.  Republican leaders in the House and Senate may believe that once they control both houses, they will have the power to approve the next vice president — all while our rivals across the globe take advantage of our weakened president and our allies plot a future without the United States.

America with a weakened leader reminds me of the instruction I received when parachuting.  If you have a malfunction, you must decide how bad of a malfunction.  If malfunction results in a broken leg or two, then ride it to the ground.  Because if you go to the reserve and it malfunctions, your life is over.  We cannot survive a President Harris, House speaker Pelosi, and Senate leader Schumer leading our country.  Let us all wait until the November 2022 elections. -  Mick Rich October 3, 2021 How does Biden stack up against a list of Alzheimer's symptoms?
