Who is pulling the puppet strings in Washington, DC?

By Rajan Laad April 3, 2023

A travesty of US democracy........Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) appeared last week on Jesse Watters’s show on Fox News to express his opposition to the RESTRICT Act.  The proponents of the bill claim that it will be used to ban the Chinese-owned social media platform TikTok.  But the critics of this legislation have pointed out that it grants sweeping powers to the federal government and the president to ban any application they label a ‘threat’. ....... Graham would have been forgiven for not knowing a minor clause in the bill. But opposing a bill on TV that he has co-sponsored is unpardonable. What makes it worse is that he wasn’t even aware that he was a co-sponsor..........To Read More....

Lindsey Graham Corners Judge Jackson on Prison Time for Child Pornographers

Katie Pavlich Mar 23, 2022

During the second day of Supreme Court confirmation hearings on Capitol Hill Tuesday, Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson justified handing down light sentences for child pornographers depending on whether they obtained images on the internet or through the mail. In a number of cases, Jackson imposed sentences not only below federal guidelines, but well below what prosecutors asked for............. To Read More.....

Sen. Graham Shows Judge Jackson How Her Ruling Flouted Congress’ ‘Sole and Unreviewable Discretion’ Proviso

Craig Bannister | March 23, 2022

At Wednesday’s Senate confirmation hearing of Supreme Court nominee Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC) reminded Judge Brown of one of her rulings that was overturned because a higher court determined that she ignored the crystal-clear intent of a statue. In a case regarding the administration’s authority to employ expedited removal of illegal aliens, Judge Brown’s ruling ignored a statute’s declaration that the U.S. Attorney General has “sole and unreviewable discretion” in the matter, Sen. Graham explained:.........“So, this is an example to me, and you may not agree, where the plain language of the statute was completely ignored by you. You reached a conclusion because you disagreed with the Trump Administration.”............. To Read More......

WATCH: Lindsey Graham vs. Dick Durbin Fight over Guantánamo Terror Detainees

Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) and Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) clashed Tuesday over the issue of the release of detainees from the military prison at Guantánamo Bay, Cuba, during the confirmation hearing for Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson.

Graham had just concluded his questioning of Judge Jackson, noting that in her previous career as a federal public defender, she had provided legal services for terror detainees in the early days after the 9/11 attacks.

Jackson stressed that she had been deeply moved by the attacks, and noted that her brother had been motivated to join the military by the attacks. But she also stressed that under the Constitution, every individual had the right to a legal defense...........To Read More...

Lindsey Graham Throws President Trump Under The Bus, Fox News ROASTS HIM!

Cooter June 12, 2021

John Roberts asked about South Carolina senator Lindsey Graham's thoughts on a potential upcoming meeting between Joe Biden and Vladimir Putin. Graham responded that Putin's "bad behavior" should be called out.

He went on to accuse President Trump of having not "prosecuted the case against Russia forcefully enough" during his meeting with Putin in Norway.

Roberts, the host of Fox News' "America Reports," responded, “Alright, that summit, by the way, was in Finland, Helsinki, because I was there.” He went on to rebuke Graham further, saying, "And you're a senator and I'll write it 100 times on the whiteboard." Graham chuckled nervously and muttered a sheepish apology before the segment ended.

This isn't the first time Graham has publicly criticized or even trashed President Trump. The senator was once confronted by Trump supporters about agreeing to certify the electoral college results that fraudulently put Obiden in the White House..............The two-faced senator can also be seen in a video shot before the 2016 election calling President Trump a "kook" not fit for office. Later, he gushed about Donald Trump; the two clips were used in an attack ad by the Democrat-backed LindseyMustGo super PAC.........To Read More....

Sen. Rand Paul: 'Monstrous Spending Bill...Is Everything Republicans Say They Don't Believe In'

Susan Jones | December 22, 2020

(CNSNews.com) - Both the House and Senate on Monday passed a $2.3 trillion bill, including $900 billion in COVID relief and the rest to keep the federal government operating.

The Senate vote was 92-6, with six Republicans voting against the 5,593-page bill -- dubbed by The Associated Press as "by far the longest bill ever."

The no votes came from Sens. Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee, Rand Paul of Kentucky, Rick Scott of Florida, Ron Johnson of Wisconsin, Mike Lee of Utah, and Ted Cruz of Texas.............To Read More....

My Take - This link below is telling.  I'm sure a lot of people have a of institutional and culture paradigm problems that would be antithetical to American values...... if practiced here.....but they're not, they're being practiced in their culture that's been the structure of their culture for centuries.  So, right, wrong or indifferent, I think it's imperative to ask this one fundamental question:  How and when did these foreign national social problems become the responsibility of the American taxpayer?

We're 28 trillion dollars in debt and they're sending millions to Pakistan for gender studies?  Graham and his fellow invertebrate Republicans are a disgrace, and we have lost our minds!

2020 Vote Looks Like 1972 — With No Watergate

By CONRAD BLACK, Special to the Sun August 28, 2019

It is not too early to speculate on what the national political press, and especially the high-brow conservative Never Trumpers, are going to do after this president is comfortably reelected. The Washingtonp-New York-Los Angeles press threw everything they had against candidate Trump, nominee Trump, and the president, and they have lost everything they had.
All surveys show that their audience/readership is sinking and their commercial economics are shriveling, and no reasonable person can fail to be disgusted with the endless malicious slanders and distortions by the Lemons, Maddows, Scarboroughs, Blitzers.

It is exquisite that Mr. Trump has used the hard-left social press to outmaneuver the traditional media kingmakers and now nods approvingly as Senators Warren and Sanders and their allies attack the new media cartel, whose leading figures are almost as hostile to the president as are those seeking the Democratic nomination against him next year.........To Read More......

Lindsey Graham Just Issued a FISA Abuse, Clinton Ultimatum on the Release of Mueller's Special Counsel Report

Katie Pavlich Mar 14, 2019

On Thursday morning the Democrat controlled House of Representatives unanimously voted 420-0 on a resolution calling for the full release of Robert Mueller's Special Counsel investigation report.........Now that it's on the other side of Capitol Hill, Senator Lindsey Graham has a change to the resolution.........
As currently constructed, I cannot support the House-passed resolution calling for the release of the Mueller report...........However, I would agree to the resolution with a simple change –........-- it be amended to call for the appointment of a Special Counsel to:
* Investigate alleged misconduct around the handling of the Clinton email investigation.
* Investigate the abuse of the FISA warrant process against Mr. Carter Page...........I have been calling for a Special Counsel to investigate these matters for more than a year and one should have been appointed a long time ago..........I believe we owe it to the American people to look at ALL potential misconduct related to 2016 campaign investigation, not just some..............To Read More....

Lindsey Graham tries to undercut WH aide Stephen Miller on immigration policy

State (SC) January 22, 2018

U.S. Senator Lindsey Graham hasn’t been successful in ending the federal government shutdown yet, so the South Carolina Republican has taken a new approach. He’s calling out those he believes are the biggest obstacles in preventing a bipartisan agreement on immigration that will put the government back to work.

Graham used Twitter Sunday to send a message about who he sees as the problem. It isn’t President Donald Trump, and it isn’t White House Chief of Staff Gen. John Kelly. But it is somebody else in the White House that has Trump’s ear.

“President Trump has expressed a desire to have border security with compassion on immigration. #winningcombination. General Kelly is tough but reasonable. Some other staff in the White House hold extreme and unrealistic views. They hold us back from getting a solution,” Graham tweeted.
Shortly after his message on social media, Graham was more specific about the aide he sees as the primary culprit. Before heading into a meeting with senators from both sides of the aisle, Graham laid into White House senior policy adviser Stephen Miller to a large assembly of reporters.......To Read More.....

My Take - Graham is a disgrace! What I don't understand about his actions is he's up for re-election this year.  Does he think this tact is going to get him re-elected?  I don't know the politics of South Carolina, but I can't believe all this anti-Trump rhetoric he's been spewing out can be playing well with South Carolingians, and his approval ratings in the state aren't very good.

When appeaser in chief, Prime Minister Neville Chamberlain failed in all his efforts to stop Hitler by giving him Czechoslovakia a conservative backbencher, and friend of Chamberlain's, rose and quoted Oliver Cromwell from 300 years earlier saying to what's called in history the Rump Parliament.
"You have sat too long for any good you have been doing lately ... Depart, I say; and let us have done with you. In the name of God, go!"
I think this applies to Lindsay Graham, and since I'm not a big believer in polls,  I just wonder if South Carolingians agree.

Conservatives ready another try to unseat Lindsey Graham

By BYRON YORK | AUGUST 29, 2013 AT 6:30 PM
On a Monday night in late August, Sen. Lindsey Graham was traveling with a congressional delegation in Africa when the three Republicans who are challenging him in the 2014 GOP primary joined a large and strongly conservative crowd at Rep. Jeff Duncan's annual Faith and Freedom Barbecue. To listen to Graham's opponents tell it, that situation -- a lawmaker who is far away and out-of-touch -- is emblematic of the senator's relationship with his constituents.
"The people in South Carolina are very conservative, and he's been working with Obama and acting as if he's the Secretary of State, when he should be representing the people of South Carolina," said one of the challengers, Lee Bright, a state senator from the Greenville/Spartanburg area.
"He just doesn't represent South Carolina very well," said challenger Richard Cash, a businessman who nearly won a House seat in 2010. "He voted for Justice Sotomayor ... and then he did the same thing with Justice Kagan. We don't like his leadership on immigration -- we believe it's another Grahamnesty. He's not just on the wrong side of the issue, he's a leader on the wrong side."....To Read More.....
