Biden Backers Fund Vandalism of Constitution

When Stonehenge was vandalized by militant leftist environmentalists convinced that the world was going to end, the trail led back to an L.A. organization and then to Biden and Hillary Clinton.

Just Stop Oil had been behind not only the vandalism at Stonehenge, but attacks on multiple classical works of art and culture, including Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” and Van Gogh’s “Sunflowers,” as well as the Magna Carta.

As Freedom Center Investigates previously revealed, Just Stop Oil was funded by the Climate Emergency Fund in California whose backers include such liberal royalty as Rory Kennedy, Aileen Getty, Abigail Disney and Hollywood director Adam McKay.

But there is another major donor to the Climate Emergency Fund.

After Hillary Clinton lost the 2016 election, she created Onward Together to serve as the arm for her future political goals. The group uses her familiar ‘arrow’ as part of its logo. Late last year, Hillary Clinton asked supporters to celebrate her birthday by supporting the “work Onward Together groups are doing to protect and strengthen our democracy”.

One of those groups was strengthening “democracy” by attacking the Constitution.

Onward Together had previously provided $500,000 to the Climate Emergency Fund. This year. activists with Declare Emergency, an allied group, tried to vandalize a copy of the Constitution at the National Archives. The organization’s site states that the, “Climate Emergency Fund is the lead funder for Declare Emergency’s recruitment, training, and educational efforts.”

Hillary Clinton has been accused of attacking the Constitution before, but never this literally.

And she’s not alone. The global assault on art and cultural heritage was financed by the wealthy Hollywood liberal elite behind CEF which also funds and supports Biden and the Democrats.

Rory Kennedy co-founded the Climate Emergency Fund and sits on its board of directors The daughter of former Senator Robert F. Kennedy, Rory was ‘front and center’ when the Kennedy family rolled out its endorsement of Joe Biden. Rory appeared on Good Morning America and condemned her brother, RFK Jr, telling former Clinton White House adviser and current ABC News anchor George Stephanopoulos, “I am concerned that voting for Bobby is going to take votes away from Biden and lead to a Trump election.”

George did not ask Rory about her role in a group funding terrorism worldwide.

Biden has repeatedly appeared with Rory Kennedy including at the White House. Beyond Biden, Rory Kennedy donated to Kamala and at least six Senate members. Not a single media outlet raised concerns about Kennedy’s role in an extremist organization funding groups engaged in the vandalism of art and historical documents in America and in Europe.

Or has asked Biden and other Democrat recipients how they felt about getting support from a political extremist whose group engaged in global vandalism and terrorism.

Including a physical attack on the Constitution.

Bloomberg revealed that CEF had “been Just Stop Oil’s majority funder since the group formed last year”. Just Stop Oil has attacked multiple paintings around the world including DaVinci’s ‘The Last Supper’ and Vermeer’s ‘Girl with a Pearl Earring’, and vandalized Stonehenge as well.

Biden and top Democrats are raising money from the same donors funding ecoterrorism.

The BBC had previously quoted Kennedy as saying that the group’s terrorist activities would continue in order to “stave off the worst climate emergency we’ve ever faced”.

She tweeted in response to a story about an allied eco terrorist group that “ClimateEFund will continue to support these activists. We agree that “governmental inaction over the #climate + ecological crisis now justifies peaceful and non-violent protest + direct action, even if this goes beyond the bounds of the current law.”

Freedom Center Investigates had previously revealed that CEF has lied to the IRS by falsely claiming in its 990 forms that it “supports only nonviolent, legal activities”

Kennedy’s tweet admitted that CEF supports groups that violate the law.

Beyond the vandalism of art and cultural landmarks, the eco terrorists and their funders promote violence and dangerous behavior.

Rory Kennedy hailed a New York Times op-ed by Margaret Klein Salamon, the clinical psychologist who heads CEF, that began with describing a man setting himself on fire in front of the Supreme Court as a “principled protest.” And in a disturbing example of child abuse, Kennedy also promoted a radical environmentalist stunt during which an 8-year-old boy was made to hang from a bridge in order to display a banner promoting its extremist message.

Aileen Getty, the granddaughter of oil tycoon J. Paul Getty, helped create CEF and is a top donor to the extremist organization. After Just Stop Oil threw soup on Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting, Getty wrote an op-ed headlined, “I fund climate activism – and I applaud the Van Gogh protest”.

Aileen Getty is an enthusiastic donor to Democratic politicians and causes. And last year donated to Hillary Clinton’s Onward Together.

As well as to Joe Biden.

Getty has funded Gov. Newsom’s SuperPAC which may help ensure that the group has nothing to fear from law enforcement in California.

Abigail Disney, the Disney heiress and Democrat donor, is another backer CEF backer. Disney was herself arrested at a protest. Disney has donated to radical Democrat politicians, but also to Biden, Sen. Chuck Schumer and the DSCC.

In response to a demand that she and CEF “stop funding groups” attacking “famous pieces of art”, Disney retorted, “No I won’t pledge any such thing and you know why? Because there is a climate emergency going on. You can be hostile about these protests–you only raise their profile and effectiveness, so thx.”

Hollywood director Adam McKay serves on the CEF board of directors and has donated $4 million to the extremist organization. He has also donated to Biden and multiple Senate Democrats as well as to fringe leftist radicals like Cenk Uygur and Zephyr Teachout.

McKay tweeted “that disruptive protest is not only essential in this moment, it’s also awesome.

#JustStopOil.” When Just Stop Oil vandalized Stonehenge, McKay retweeted the video and argued that “anyone angered by this rather than the climate apocalypse big oil has unleashed needs to take 3 deep breaths and then redirect their anger where it belongs:”

The CEF board also includes documentary filmmaker and Democrat donor Geralyn Dreyfous.

The vandalism of the Constitution and classical art around the country and the world has been funded by Biden donors and surrogates. The Climate Emergency Fund lied to the IRS. Key figures and donors have defended the vandalism carried out by the extremist groups it funds.

The links between the Biden campaign, Hillary Clinton’s people and the eco-terrorists attacking art and even physically assaulting the Constitution have been covered up by the media which has refused to ask Biden, Hillary Clinton and top Democrats any hard questions about it. This corruption threatens our Constitution figuratively and now even literally.

There are two things the Democrats will have to use in their campaign against trump, and that is abortion, and fascism.  The trouble is it's blatantly obvious more and more people are realizing it's the Democrats who are the real fascists, and more and more people are finally realizing abortion really isn't about health care, it's about murdering the innocent unborn.  That's why the Democrats will go all out on voter fraud in this election. 

Joe Biden is vile beyond belief, and virtually everything he's done in the last three and a half years has been so destructive to America it can't be called anything short of treason.  He support of Islamists, his economic policies, and his support of criminals, and his immigration polices are just the tip of the ice berg of corruption, incompetence, and treason.  

For him to give billions to Iran is insane, and it really is treasonous.   Schumer is completely contemptible, or the man is completely insane.  Either way, he's disgusting, he's lying, and both he and Biden are traitors to western civilization.  Israel is the canary in the coal mine, this isn't like Ukraine where we really don't  have skin in that game.  The real danger to western civilization isn't from Russia, it's from Islam.  

China has infiltrated, with the help of powerful Americans, just about every American institution working to destroy America. This TikTok issue highlights that to the tee, and I have no idea what's in Trump's mind not supporting the House bill trying to fix this.

Let's All Return to Nature!

People keep yammering about the need to “return to nature” in order to restore their humanity and save the planet. Return to organic farming.  Eliminate pesticides.  End the use of chemical fertilizers. Absolutely no genetically modified foods.  No roads, no cars, no running water, no electricity or modern central heating or cooling.  Having grown up on a farm in an area that had a substantial number of wells, springs and cisterns as water sources, and outside toilets for personal use, I am somewhat familiar with the concept. 

I remember well, and with great nostalgia, those starlit nights when I would lay on my back and see the great expanse of the Milky Way.  In the country, away from the lighted up cities,  you really can see just how expansive and magnificent the milky way truly is. You felt as if you were looking past eternity.  You would be surprised at how many shooting stars appear on a clear night.

There is a problem with that though.  Life isn’t lived that way. 

Those grand nights weren’t every night, and during the day those sights can’t be seen at all, and the memory of them doesn’t ease the burdens of everyday living. Just because these moments are prized and cherished by those of us who were able to enjoy them doesn’t alter the fact that the rest of the time was substantially more difficult. In other words; the farm is nice place to get away and visit, but I have no desire to go back.  It's interesting that the people who actually lived what they call a "back to nature" lifestyle didn’t quite see life in the romantic mythology claptrap way the greenies present.

• When one of the greatest advances ever for America ever was Rural Electrification, and very few said: "Oh, no,  forget it, none of that throwing the switch stuff just to get light for me.  I love my kerosene lanterns."
•  When running water was introduced into these areas, very few said: "Forget that, I would rather haul gallons and gallons of water up from the spring."

I had uncles and an aunt that did that. I want to see these "in love with nature" greenies do that on the first wash day.  The lunatic left are on a path to eliminate modern appliances and cheap readily available electricity over the false narrative over global warming.  On August 2, 2023 Jeffrey Folks published this piece, 27 Billion People, and Climate Change Not High, saying: 

My paternal grandparents were tenant farmers caught in the destruction of the Dust Bowl.  They survived, just barely.......... When, in her sixties, my grandmother acquired electricity and running water — and a washing machine — she felt privileged, and she was.  Around 60% of the world's population today goes without indoor plumbing, and 13% lack electricity.  The comforts of modern life depend on fossil fuels, which supply cheap and reliable power for all our needs.  Our goal should be to extend modern conveniences to more people, not to ban appliances and make electricity more expensive........... 

Does it ever occur to anyone to ask: 

• If primitive was so wonderful in the past; why did they ever abandon it? 
• If primitive is so great today; why do they abandon it so readily when the opportunity presents itself?

I've read about celebrities who raved about an outdoor experience as if they have had an epiphany.  But these epiphanies don't seem to last, because they quickly return to their highly electrified homes with running water, indoor toilets, central heat, air conditioning, swimming pools, manicured lawns, etc.   If primitive was so great, why didn’t they stay?  Forever! 

Clearly, there are some who really desire that life, and they might find contentment with this lifestyle, for those who wish to abandon modern life and revert back to nature, they have my blessing, but they need to leave the rest of us alone.  I think I absolutely assure you, this is something most people would really hate, and worse yet; I think few would survive.

This quote appeared in the Blog Café Hayek regarding this whole back to nature lifestyle mythology: 

“Consider, for example, Thomas Babington Macaulay's description of life in the 17th-century Scottish highlands -- before anything beyond rudimentary commerce and industry reach there:”

“His lodging would sometimes have been in a hut of which every nook would have swarmed with vermin. He would have inhaled an atmosphere thick with peat smoke, and foul with a hundred noisome exhalations. At supper grain fit only for horses would have been set before him, accompanied by a cake of blood drawn from living cows. Some of the company with which he would have feasted would have been covered with cutaneous eruptions, and others would have been smeared with tar like sheep. His couch would have been the bare earth, dry or wet as the weather might be; and from that couch he would have risen half poisoned with stench, half blind with the reek of turf, and half mad with the itch.”

I don’t know about you, but this doesn’t sound like a good time to me. The movies don’t really depict the true nature of life in ancient times. It was brutal, ugly, backbreaking, uncomfortable, unhealthy, and most importantly; very short lived.  When you abandon modern culture for the primitive life, that's the real embrace of nature.

We may wish to embrace nature in a care taking way, and I think this is a good overall attitude, but let’s not lose sight of reality. Nature has no loving embrace for us in return. Nature is unthinking, brutal, unkind, uncaring, unhealthy and will make life short lived for those who aren’t prepared to change their environment in order to survive nature's unthinking and uncaring efforts to kill us. 

Nature will shine on us one day and rain on us the next. It doesn’t care, nor is nature able to care. Nature is an environmental machine that operates under a set of laws, and those laws have no human concepts of reality or compassion. Let’s stop being anthropomorphic about nature. Nature has no human qualities, period.

How many of us really want to go back to those eras? If we did, how may would survive the first year? How many really know how to produce the food they would need to survive? If you were able to produce enough food to survive, how do you preserve meats, fruits and vegetables without refrigeration or canning processes? If you did grow enough grain to get through the winter how would you process it and store it?

It was done in the old days. Do you know how? How many really do? To some extant I do, but none of that has any appeal for me at all. I have no desire to embrace primitivism.  Furthermore, I don’t seem to see these environmentalist fools embracing it as a permanent life style either. They pontificate about the glories of primitive living from the comforts and well laid tables of the modern world.

The environment has to be properly cared for, but all things in nature must be used as a means of survival. I am not talking about abusing nature. Having grown up on a small farm I know and understand the concepts of conservation

for future utilization.  It is just like a bank account, if you deplete it there is nothing left.   Make no mistake, there is a difference between conservation and preservation. 

But have no doubt in your mind at all, nature does not think and does not care. Nature has no feelings, no concerns and no desires.   Nature is here for our use and our benefit, not the other way around. We are not imposing on nature. Nature belongs to us, but it's a war, not a love affair.

Clear analytical thought becomes very difficult when living in an imaginary world of serendipity.  In the Persian fairy tale, The Three Princes of Serendip, wonderful, valuable and agreeable things not sought for suddenly would appear. To embrace nature for its beauty and grandeur is fortifying to the spirit, but to embrace nature in order to humanize it as if nature was warm, wonderful and serendipitous; is to place it above mankind.

That's eco-religion.  That's eco-terrorism!  It isn’t very bright either!

Eco-Terrorists Crowdsource Harassment and Terror

Some leftist groups beat around the bush about what they stand for and what they do.

Not ‘Climate Defiance’ which is running a fundraiser to ‘Make Complicit Climate Cowards’ Lives F____g Miserable’.

The ecoterrorist group which boasts of having “fully shut down Joe Manchin’s keynote” and “made pipeline lover Amy Klobuchar flee the stage at her own book launch party” is also pretty clear about what donors can buy by funding the environmentalist group.

For $100, you get “photography for one direct action” while $1,000 buys you a “whole keynote speech shutdown, soup-to-nuts”.

Funding for this illegal activity is being processed by Stripe and PayPal. Both companies have a history of suspending conservatives, but have no objection to allowing leftists to directly subsidize harassment of elected officials. When contacted for a comment, they did not reply.

But Climate Defiance’s operations also share a funding platform with the DNC.

Climate Defiance announced its fundraiser for a “a bold action to blockade the White House Correspondents Dinner on April 29th to call attention to President Biden’s failed campaign promise to stop drilling on Federal Lands” on the Action Network.

That same month, Declare Emergency, another eco terrorist group, made headlines by vandalizing Degas’ Little Dancer sculpture case at the National Gallery of Art. Even though the two perpetrators were indicted by a federal grand jury, no action was taken against the group despite its flyers being left at the scene and Declare Emergency urging others to follow suit.

Declare Emergency has retained its 501(c)(4) status despite this criminal activity. Tax code regulations clearly state that illegal and criminal activity voids any such status, but as the David Horowitz Freedom Center’s IRS investigations have shown, leftist eco-terrorists, actual terrorists and pedophiles have been able to retrain C3 and C4 status no matter what their crimes are.

The eco terrorist group linked to the Degas attack, like Climate Defiance, fundraises through Action Network. And they are not alone. Freedom Center investigations have shown that Black Lives Matter, the Women’s March, the DSA and Communist Party USA and Antifa all fundraise through the Action Network. As does the Democratic National Committee.

The Action Network, like Climate Defiance and Declare Emergency, is a 501(c)(4) and it shows the entanglement of the Democrat establishment with the far Left even when its extremists are targeting Senate Democrats and the White House for not adopting their full radical agenda.

The eco terrorists aren’t just funneling money through 501(c)(4)s, but have received funding from an actual 501(c)(3) organization that has to meet the gold standard of charitable activities.

Eco-terrorism and any kind of illegal actions are very definitely not on the list.

Climate Defiance, currently crowdsourcing the harassment of elected officials, received a grant from the Climate Emergency Fund. The Climate Emergency Fund is a 501(c)(3) backed by, among others, Aileen Getty, a Getty Oil heiress, Rory Kennedy, the daughter of the deceased senator, and leftist director Adam McKay.

Its support for eco terrorism has never been subtle and the Freedom Center had previously exposed its funding of attacks on paintings in Europe by Just Stop Oil. Like Climate Defiance and Declare Emergency, Just Stop Oil engages in ‘direct action’ and made headlines by splashing tomato soup on Van Gogh’s Sunflowers painting in London’s National Gallery.

The Climate Emergency Fund has been linked to the funding of numerous ecoterrorist activities around the country, including the Atlanta Forest Defenders, who were described in an arrest affidavit as a “group classified by the United States Department of Homeland Security as Domestic Violent Extremists” after violent riots and assaults that ended in at least one death.

But Climate Defiance, a listed CEF grantee, is further testing whether the IRS will cover for leftists or enforce the law by directly targeting.Senator Manchin, Senator Klobuchar and brags of having shut down “keynote addresses by Biden’s two top climate advisors”.

The Biden administration and the IRS could easily put a stop to this if they choose to. The violations are blatant and pulling the Climate Emergency Fund’s nonprofit status is as straightforward as it gets. The tax code and precedent make it abundantly clear that illegal activities and protests are incompatible with tax-exempt status for charities.

The Fund has lied to the IRS by falsely claiming in its 990s that it “supports only nonviolent, legal activities”. Even the briefest glance at its grantees and partners, and its own rhetoric, makes it clear that it supports organizations engaged in illegal activities.

And that was obvious even before Climate Defiance began crowdsourcing “Make Complicit Climate Cowards’ Lives F____g Miserable” which offered donors the opportunity to donate $1,000 to fund the shutdown of an event by public officials.

Why won’t the Biden administration stop this even when its own personnel are being targeted?

The American Left is the tail that wags the Democrat dog. The Biden administration would rather be slapped around by its own political extremists than take action against them. Biden’s Justice Department tried to go after mothers protesting at school board meetings as domestic terrorists, but doesn’t have anything to say when actual leftist domestic terrorists target it.

The Climate Emergency Fund is also funded by the Democrat donors that Biden and his party are not about to offend. That includes Aileen Getty, who has provided generous support to Obama, Biden, Elizabeth Warren, Raphel Warnock and others. In an op-ed after the National Gallery attack, Getty defended the vandalism of a classic painting and admitted that “I proudly provide funding to the Climate Emergency Fund” which makes grants to vandals including “Just Stop Oil”, but claimed that she does “not fund these groups directly” and does not control them.

That has always been the familiar excuse of the funders of terrorist groups around the world.

While Democrats and their media continue to posture about an insurrection, their donors and their platforms are funding an actual insurrection that includes eco terrorists targeting Congress and even occupying Pelosi’s office. This continuing green assault is made possible by the complicity of the IRS in allowing 501(c)(3) charities and 501(c)(4) platforms and activist groups to continue funding vandalism, riots and attacks on elected officials.

The real Complicit Climate Cowards are in the IRS. Those complicit climate cowards are the reason why art is under siege and events are closed down. The IRS has ignored the law, allowed eco terrorists to abuse the tax code, to destroy culture and intimidate elected officials.

The vandalism of paintings, the disruption of events and the attacks on Congress could be stopped very easily. The IRS could end it in a month if it enforced the law, but the same organization that sends chills down the spines of ordinary taxpayers is terrified of using its nearly limitless power to hold even the worst leftist nonprofit abusers accountable.

Biden to Turn Over 10% of America’s Land to the Left

The Bureau of Land Management was formed out of the General Land Office, which sold and distributed public land to settlers, and the Grazing Service, which settled the range wars on the side of the farmers. Its mission under the Federal Land Policy and Management Act (FLPMA) is “the management of the public lands and their various resource values so that they are utilized in the combination that will best meet the present and future needs of the American people”.

Unfortunately BLM became a bastion of environmentalists opposed to any kind of development and, under Biden, even outright eco-terrorists, like Tracy Stone-Manning, his BLM director.

Tracy Stone-Manning had been the spokeswoman for the eco-terrorist group EarthFirst and had sent a threatening letter to the Forest Service warning that the terrorists had rigged a forest with traps and concluding with, “You bastards go in there anyway and a lot of people could get hurt.”

Instead of going to jail, Biden nominated the eco-terrorist to head BLM and Senate Democrats, including Senator Manchin, voted to confirm her into office. Instead of managing national resources for the benefit of the American people, Biden’s BLM has waged a corrupt and dishonest campaign to seize total control of them and prevent them from being utilized.

After Biden and BLM were forced by the court to offer oil and gas leases, they did it with a poison pill by offering poor and played out sites, hiking royalties, and reducing available areas, before pulling the auction due to “lack of interest”. While BLM was sabotaging oil and gas drilling, American workers were being economically devastated by sky-high gas prices.

BLM is now trying for something much more ambitious. The federal agency, which is not a legislative body, is proposing to dramatically modify the Federal Register to redefine conservation, or non-use of the land, as a “primary purpose” and then offer “conservation leases” to leftists to lock up the land and prevent if from being used for grazing or drilling.

The Bureau of Land Management’s leadership is proposing to unilaterally transform its functioning from managing exploitable resources on behalf of the public to banning exploitation of those resources while potentially turning over as much as 10% of the nation’s land to leftists.

BLM’s “conservation leases” would allow environmentalist groups and others to seize public lands and potentially place them off limits under the guise of “restoring public lands”. These conservation leases would be offered to “individuals, businesses, non-governmental organizations”. Most of them would go to leftist non-governmental organizations or NGOs.

With “conservation leases” running for as long as a decade, Biden’s BLM would be able to lock up key development sites to prevent future Republican administrations from opening them up to drilling and mining. And Biden would be able to claim plausible deniability for restricting drilling and mining by claiming that the lands are currently undergoing “restoration” or “mitigation”.

BLM controls 1 in 10 acres, 30% of the country’s minerals, and much of its oil and gas. The new “conservation leases” could be used to cripple America’s energy independence for a decade while keeping energy prices high. Furthermore, Communist China, which already has ties to environmentalist groups in this country, could use them as trojan horses to cripple mining, especially of rare earth metals, to keep us dependent on Beijing for our technology.

The Natural Resources Defense Council, which was quick to cheer the proposed “conservation leases”, has been accused of extensive ties to the People’s Republic of China.

BLM’s package of proposals would ‘Californicate’ land management across the country leading to the same measures that crushed farmers, ranchers, energy extraction and mining, created droughts and forest fires, while abandoning productive land to cartels for illegal drug cultivation in what was once a prosperous state for people outside San Francisco and Los Angeles, and industries other than Hollywood and Big Tech.

A proposed land health assessment would apply California-style “watershed function, ecological processes, water quality, and wildlife habitat” analysis to provide countless reasons to block any land use.

BLM also proposes to redefine conservation from passive to active measures for “maintaining resilient, functioning ecosystems by protecting or restoring natural habitats and ecological functions.” This would provide a steady flow of taxpayer money to leftist organizations and provide an open-ended excuse for locking up lands until some ideal standard had been met.

While conservation leases could run for a decade, “mitigation leases” are open-ended and run

“for a term commensurate with the impact it is mitigating”. If you redefine mitigation, as BLM is proposing to do, then these become endless leases that are renewed every 5 years in perpetuity.

The Biden BLM move would not only increase oil and gas prices while furthering our dependence on foreign oil, it would also raise meat prices and help kill ranching.

American ranchers are dependent on public lands for grazing cattle. After a difficult few years in which ranchers have gone bankrupt and culled herds leading to even higher meat prices, the BLM and its eco-terrorist boss have aggressively gone after anyone who isn’t eating soy.

Former EarthFirst eco-terrorist Tracy Stone-Manning demanded the power to unilaterally change existing grazing permits to compensate for the environmentalist hoax known popularly as ‘global warming’. Under these proposals, BLM would constantly “evaluate” the land for global warming impacts and potentially pull grazing permits if its environmentalist fanatics objected.

This would make it impossible for ranchers to run a business without ever knowing if a BLM eco-bureaucrat might cut off their grazing rights any time that she pleases. And the availability and price of meat in supermarkets would soon reflect that grim reality.

Once the grazing land is defined as not being “resilient” in the face of global warming, BLM would snatch it away and hand it over as a “conservation lease” or a “mitigation lease” to environmentalists determined to end grazing, the ownership of animals and eating meat.

When meat prices rise and supply drops, Biden will blame ranchers and meatpackers for “profiteering” rather than admitting that this was the desired outcome of his own policies.

With over 50 million acres of grazing land at risk, BLM has the ability to crush meat production in the United States, much as it can kill oil, gas and mining in this country. As a pleasing side effect, it will also kill any number of conservative businesses while feeding money to the Left.

Western conservatives have called for abolishing the Bureau of Land Management before while urban conservatives have ignored issues like grazing rights or oil and gas leases because meat seemed to come from a supermarket and gas from a pump. But these seeming abstractions have changed life for most of the country for the worse as part of a larger environmental plot.

Beef prices are expected to increase another 15% this year after a year of increases that raised retail meat prices anywhere from 20% to 60% for consumers. Egg prices have put the basic commodity off the breakfast tables of millions of Americans. And gas prices have been rising again. BLM’s latest proposals are meant to not only keep the pain going even into future Republican administrations, but to change American living habits and expectations permanently by systemically ending access to oil, gas and meat for much of the country.

Turning over as much as 10% of America’s land to the Left will end the middle class standard of living. California is a test case, and unless BLM is abolished, America will become California.

The Global Warming Shakedown, Part V

Whether they call it global warming or climate change, activists on the left act as if the issue is just an excuse to extort money and expand the power of government.

 

• In Part I, I wrote about kleptocrats exploiting the issue to shake down western governments for enormous amounts of aid money.
• In Part II, I noted how then-Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, using tens of billions of dollars from American taxpayers, wanted to bribe third-world governments into adopting anti-energy measures
• In Part III, I explained how the Kyoto Protocol encourages the destruction of jobs in western nations.
• In Part IV, I warned that environmental extremists were using government coercion to line their pockets and stifle dissent.

Now we have a fifth installment in the series.

Here are the details, based on a report in the New York Times by Brad Plumer, Max Bearak, Lisa Friedman and Jenny Gross.

Diplomats from nearly 200 countries concluded two weeks of climate talks on Sunday by agreeing to establish a fund that would help poor, vulnerable countries… The decision on payments for loss and damage caused by global warming represented a breakthrough… the United States and other wealthy countries had long blocked the idea… Developing nations — largely from Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and South Pacific — fought first to place the debate over a loss and damage fund on the formal agenda of the two-week summit. And then they were relentless in their pressure campaign.

The agreement is the bad news.

The good news is that having some bureaucrats sign an agreement does not automatically mean American tax dollars will wind up in the pockets of corrupt government officials overseas.

…major hurdles remain. There is no guarantee that wealthy countries will deposit money into the fund. …And while American diplomats agreed to a fund, money must be appropriated by Congress. …With Republicans set to take over the House in January, the prospects of Congress approving an entirely new pot of money for loss and damage appear dim. “Sending U.S. taxpayer dollars to a U.N. sponsored green slush fund is completely misguided,” said Senator John Barrasso, Republican of Wyoming. “The Biden administration should focus on lowering spending at home, not shipping money to the U.N.

At the risk of understatement, I agree with Sen. Barrasso.

The Wall Street Journal opined against the proposed wealth transfer.

The use of climate policy to soak Americans keeps getting worse, and the United Nation’s climate conference in Egypt ended this weekend with agreement on a new fund to pay reparations to poor countries. Welcome to the latest climate shakedown. …Details about the reparations fund—such as which countries will pay, how much, and which countries will benefit—will be fleshed out over the next year. Biden officials claim the agreement doesn’t create new liabilities for Americans. But the U.S. and Europe are conceding the principle… American taxpayers are being asked to pay because the U.S. industrialized first and then lifted billions of people out of poverty via investment and trade. …Countries might also shake down U.S. fossil-fuel producers in their own courts. Climate reparations will merely serve as another form of global income redistribution.

There’s one other issue worth mentioning.

As Andrew Follett explains for National Review, China’s getting a sweet deal.

…it is a total shakedown. A major beneficiary of the deal is China, despite the fact that it has much higher emissions than the United States. …That’s because “the United Nations currently classifies China as a developing country. Even though it is now the world’s biggest emitter of greenhouse gasses as well as the second-largest economy,” according to the New York Times. “China has fiercely resisted being treated as a developed nation in global climate talks,” and it makes sense why. …American taxpayers will be forced to directly or indirectly fund Communist China. …Despite emitting far less than our international rival.

For what it’s worth, it seems that major western nations want to make sure the new fund does not provide direct handouts to China.

But so long as China gets to self-classify as a developing nation, any expansion of climate schemes will enhance its competitive advantage over the United States and other western nations.

This does not seem to be a smart approach.

P.S. I’m a great fan of nature, but our friends on the left seem a bit extreme.

• Environmentalists assert that you’re racist if you oppose their agenda.
• Some environmentalists don’t believe in bathing.
• How about the environmentalists who sterilize themselves to avoid carbon-producing children?
  
• Or consider the environmentalists who produce/use hand-cranked vibrators to reduce their carbon footprint.
• There are also environmentalist who claim that climate change causes AIDS.
• Or that it causes terrorism.
• And environmentalists put together a ranking implying that Cuba is better than the United States.
• Environmentalists want to start wars.

Maybe now you understand why I don’t trust these people to set economic policy.

Convicted Ecoterrorist Claims Biden Nominee Was an Active Accomplice in Terror Plot for Months in Advance

One of the men convicted in a 1989 ecoterrorism crime has stated that Tracy Stone-Manning, President Joe Biden’s nominee to lead the Bureau of Land Management (BLM), was an active accomplice in his crime who knew about it “far in advance.”

John P. Blount, who spiked trees in Idaho’s Clearwater National Forest in 1989 and was later sentenced to 17 months in prison for it, said Stone-Manning was complicit in his act of ecoterrorism, E&E News reported Thursday.

“She knew about it far in advance, a couple of months before we headed out,” Blount said, according to the outlet.

Stone-Manning belonged to the environmental extremist group Earth First! — members of which committed acts of ecoterrorism during the 1980s and 1990s — while she was a graduate student at the University of Montana in Missoula.

In 1989, while in graduate school, Stone-Manning mailed a profane letter to the U.S. Forest Service on behalf of Blount, alerting authorities that trees in the Idaho forest that were scheduled to be cut down had been sabotaged with metal spikes to prevent them from being harvested. Tree spiking, as this form of sabotage is called, is both a crime, and according to the FBI’s definition, an act of ecoterrorism that can damage or destroy expensive logging equipment and injure or kill loggers or millworkers processing the spiked trees.........To Read More......
